• Jennifer (8/5): - Love this stay, was cozy and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious!
• Jeffrey (8/5): Poor value for money - We arrived for check in and given a very comfortable, clean but basic room. Parking was just outside. Only a minor downside, as you will be aware hotels are not good value for money in Iceland, but all the TVs were being upgraded so the current ones didn’t work. For £243 per night for a travel lodge type room, everything should be working. The staff member tried to turn it on even though she said they were all not functioning, which made no sense at all. The best part was the whale watching.
• Elaine (8/5): - Room was spacious but curtains needed to be hung so could use, water in toilet brush holder was disgusting, cabinet under sink had water damage and tv had no signal so couldn’t use. Beds very comfy and generally clean. Breakfast good and staff attentive.

We liked being next door to the Já Ding Dong bar and Eurovision exhibit, as well as the Apollo Astronaut monument across the street. Breakfast could have been more substantial.
• Kimberly (10/5): - Húsavík is a charming town and the service we received was excellent at the hotel, at the bar and when we went out to dinner. Bed was comfortable and the drinks at JaJa Ding Dong were creative and delicious. Laundry service was excellent and a plus halfway through our trip around Iceland. The room was small but cozy. Book the premium if you want an ocean view or the Mountain View room. Otherwise there is no view at all. Excellent stay overall :)

• caron (4/5): - he room was great, a decent size and clean, however it was next to reception. During the evening there was a lot of noise coming from reception, eventually I went out to ask them to quite it down and got the impression it was the receptionist friends who had popped in for a chat. People going to/from the bar had to walk passed our room and could see in if we had the curtains open, in addition we could hear the movements of the people staying in the room above. The breakfast was the second worst on the trip, the high spot was the banana. During our trip we stayed in 9 hotels, many of the hotels which we had paid a lot less were to a better standard and had much better breakfasts. Luckily we had only booked one nigh here.

• Michael (10/5): A charming hotel to stay in - Hotel room was clean, welcoming and well presented. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary chocolate and coffee was appreciated. Only down side is the window in the bedroom wouldn't close fully, and so it was creaking in the wend all night long, but was only an issue on the second night which was particularly windy.
• Alexander (2/5): Unacceptable conditions in winter - We visited Husavik in January, with temperatures of -10 outside. When we arrived, the heating of our room did not work properly and the room was freezing. The heater in the bathroom did not work properly either. In winter, there is no staff at the hotel and when we contacted the phone number they left to ask for a portable heater or any other solution, they said there was nothing they could do for us. Do not stay there during the winter, the rooms are freezing .

• Gloria (8/5): - We came to Husavik for whale watching. This hotel is very clean, and conveniently located next to the harbor. It was snowy without many sidewalks, so I wouldn't say it was walkable (November) exactly, but in a warmer time of the year, it might have been walkable. It is very very close and convenient to the harbor. It is also next to the Ja Ja Ding Dong cafe/ Eurovision museum. Short (few minutes) drive to the supermarket and center of town. However, when I arrived just after 4pm, NO one was at the front desk and there was no physical phone or WhatsApp number provided for foreigners to be able to call anyone so that we could check in. I had to walk around the hotel hoping to find someone to help us. Luckily, I noticed that that kitchen/back door was slightly open and someone was inside. I shouted in and a very nice man (who runs the attached cafe next door) greeted me. Because he used to work at the hotel, he was able to pull my room key from behind the front desk and give it to me. This was extremely lucky. Moreover, although breakfast is supposedly included in the room price, there was NO breakfast served. (And the nice man who helped us check in actually mentioned that breakfast should be available in the library on the following day!). That was really disappointing. We were quite hungry and had to find food elsewhere. Overall, the room was great but the service (in the low season) was lacking. I DO recommend the little museum next door. It was very cute.

No breakfast was included due to the time we visited, but there was coffee and hot water and appliances that could be used (toaster, ketttle), and dining area to eat. Walked to GeoSea Hot spring from hotel. Walked into town both days/nights for dinner, food, exploring. Good location, staff was very nice.

In a very quiet neighborhood it is close to restaurants and the companies that offer whale watching as well as the famous church. The room was the largest we had been in so far in Iceland. Able to spread out and accommodate luggage. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was fairly large. Free parking out front which was nice. Hotel staff were ok but nothing exceptional. Breakfast was ok offering standard Iceland foods. Seating area awash large and in a library which made it more cozy. Highly recommend for stays in Husavik.

The hotel is located in a safe, quiet area of Husavik and we enjoyed walking down the hill to town - such a picturesque and tranquil town!

Breakfast included (in the adjoining resteraunt) and you have to walk through the Eurovision Exhibition to get to it. 👍 Would definitely stay here in th future.

• Chery (10/5): THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! - My husband and I found the movie Eurovision Song Contest: Story of Fire Saga during the dark months of COVID. It quickly became a favorite feel good movie for us. When I started to plan for my husband's birthday, I decided "We're going to Iceland!" We rented a car to drive from Reykjavik to see this little gem (5 1/2 hours drive each way). I cannot say enough about this town and this little hotel. First, we drove up on a Wednesday not really thinking about many things being closed during the week for the winter months. We wanted to see the movie sights, so we didn't really mind (and the town is very small). Things are mostly open Thurs - Sun. We got to the hotel and I cannot say enough good about it. While the Jaja Ding Dong bar was closed, we told the manager why we were there. He told us to go get some dinner before the only restaurant open closed and to come back. He was so gracious. He opened up the bar and made delicious drinks for us, played the soundtrack and allowed up to tour the exhibit of items from the actual Eurovision contest and the movie. Many sights from the movie can be seen from the hotel so he pointed everything out to us. The town's people were so amazing. We visited to the GeoSpa, which was also awesome and 1/2 a mile from the hotel. For what this hotel maybe lacks in "updates" it more than makes up for in kindness and hospitality. Ask for room 201 to have an incredible view. Best birthday/honeymoon trip EVER.

• Hazuki (10/5): Charming - Husavik was a charming little town and Cape Hotel was a great place to stay. Plenty of coffee in the dining room and the breakfast was enough to keep us going all the sightseeing we wanted to do. Shower was hot and our room had a towel warmer, which was a nice touch.
