The staff was very friendly and helpful and the proximity to restaurants was ideal, you could walk to eateries without crossing roads. My only negative is the breakfast, seems this isn’t just isolated to this property but endemic to lot of US hotel chains with the typical options though this property did offer more bread options. Overall clean rooms and having a bar was a nice touch that added an opportunity to speak to staff about the local area and learn about Columbus and the surrounding areas.

- MT5353 (8/5): Nice, but needs more comfortable beds - The Fairfield in Columbus is a nice, clean place to stay. The staff is friendly and kind. We stayed there several years ago and enjoyed it. The only problem we had was that the bed was very firm and uncomfortable to sleep on.

However, this location welcomed me with the best accommodation a person may think of! 'Kay' who prepared the daily breakfast with perfect selections, 'Ali' who welcomed you with a pleasant smile every Moring at the front desk, the same goes to 'Martha'. Not five but seven stars for a great team to make it a great stay. Highly recommended if you are heading that way.

The bathroom was clean and bright. Staff was very nice. The pool was really small so it can't hold the number of guests comfortably. The breakfast was tasty but the options were minimal. Would have been nice to have more than sausage to chose from. Also, it would be great if what price shows up on booking com would be what you are charged.

The staff was an example of how all hotels should be operating. Again, I want to call out Kelly a check in with my three young children. She was extremely accommodating and as a titanium elite member I really appreciated her service. This is why I love Bonvoy.

I noticed the laundry soap they used on the towels and sheets was not strongly scented, which I loved as someone who has allergies to some scented products. Wallpaper was peeling in some spots, but did not appear to be because of water damage or excessive moisture (I think it was due to improper application of glue). Both ladies at the front desk were delightful and helpful! The breakfast area was bright and welcoming. They also let us know the fitness center was open 24/7 and told us what time the pool was open. Beds were super comfy and there was adequate lighting in the room. There is a Texas Roadhouse next to the hotel, and several gas stations as well. The hotel is right next to the exit ramp for the interstate, but I didn't feel like it was noisy at all when we had the AC unit on. Edinburgh Outlets are nearby, as well as Nashville, IN which is about 25 minutes away.

Grass in bedsheets, overcharged for room and a complete nightmare trying to resolve room rate issues. Incompetent staff including the general manager. No customer service and if you have a problem the hotel creates, no resolution. Far below Marriott standards. Do not stay here, there are much better options in Columbus.

- John (10/5): Once again, I had an excellent stay. - My leg was injured as I entered the multi-level Fairfield Hotel in Columbus, IN. I was given Room 133, which is as about as close as possible to the parking lot on the first floor. I have to believe the lady at the front desk took my injury into consideration. Whether or not she did, I had to thank her. It’s not that I didn’t like this. I simply believe Rooms 131 shouldn’t be closer to the door; 133 should be. There’s just a mistake. :-)

That’s because it’s excellent. - First, I walked in to obtain a room and was “somehow” given a first floor room extremely close to parking. I believe the lady at the front desk noticed I had an injured leg. The free breakfast was very good. The room was very clean, comfortable, and nicely priced. The bathroom was very clean too.

Lisa, Abby, Ali, Kelly, Martha and Robert the maintenance guy were extremely helpful and accommodating to anything we needed. I would definitely recommend a friend to stay there. It would be nice if the gym had a machine that would allow you to do multiple exercises.

They let us cook out as a group and provided what ever we needed. Hotel team was professional, caring and kept our stay enjoyable.
- 913martyr (10/5): Business meeting - Great place, great staff. Nice pool, large rooms. The pillows are very comfortable. Lisa and Abby are great. Our shifts were very early hours and the staff prepared coffee for us every morning. I recommend this facility. Very clean, the staff takes great pride in their work.

The only thing we didn't like was the shower-the floor non-slip decal was missing and the floor was slippery. The pool area needs to be monitored. On both evenings the floor around the pool was soaked out to the chairs; extremely slippery!

- ventakap (4/5): Racial dispute, unsafe environment for people of color - Experience was good but there was a dispute where one of the workers was being extremely racist towards another one. The way it was handled was horrible. I can’t imagine how they would treat a guest from a different background than them. Racism at all should NOT be tolerated by the person in charge, and it should’ve been shut down immediately, but it was not. Support should’ve been given to the person who was a victim of this encounter. I would not go to this hotel again because of how hostile the environment is for people of color. Shame on management for condoning this behavior, they are just as racist as the employee in the dispute.

My only complaint would be that the pool tasted like salt so my daughter really couldn’t play in. It would definitely go again. I love how it’s walkable to many restaurants and other dining places and other shops around town And it was very nice because it was by the interstate I would definitely go again.

- indtravelmom55 (2/5): Military and sports needs to AVOID - Unacceptable how they treat military veterans. Told me they would not allow me to use military leisure discount after it was already booked and ID provided once they learned I was there for sports event (which is allowed because it is on website and called corporate office). Manager Petal is very rude yelled at me as a customer because he “does not like the sports community in his hotels”. I had this hotel booked for five weekends and he lost all booking because of the level of unprofessional and he told me “he was fine with not having sports people in the hotel”. I have reached out to main office about him and will be reaching out to the sporting complex’s to let them know not to advertise this hotel as an acceptable hotel option as he does not want the business. Any veteran or sporting team should avoid this hotel at ALL cost.
