Grima (5/5): - Breakfast was nice Bathroom smelt. No plug for bath. Other people's hair in shower. Disgusting smell in hand basin when water running, couldn't even brush our teeth in there, had to use kitchen sink. Bed very uncomfortable. No staff on site to notify of any issues.
Shay (9/5): Amazing location and unique and tranquil - Amazing setting in the hills with a unique stone castle style decor. The gardens were stunning and somthing you'd expect of a botanical garden. Close to Harndorf and close to Mt Barker region. Away from busy tourists. Wish we had more time to visit local areas. Love the take on double storey accommodation. The stairs are tight and some people will struggle with these and with suitcases. The linen man decided to use our patio and others next to us as a loading dock early in the morning, which i have to say would have really pissed us off of were still asleep. I'd bring white noise machine or eye mask woth headphones.

Karla Vanli (10/5): Perfect for those seeking peace and nature away from city life... - My partner and I loved our tranquil getaway here for our 1 year anniversary! The booking process was seamless, we received a complimentary upgrade into a gorgeous room with a huge spa bath with lots of bubbles! The staff were quick to respond to any enquiries, and the location was absolutely stunning. We stayed on a Monday so we did not see anyone else there, and had the grounds to ourselves to take lots of photos outside! :) We also enjoyed the continental breakfast in the room; the bread and muffins in particular were deliciously fresh. In summary, we felt more refreshed than we had on months!
Steve (7/5): Communication good, clean and tidy - Breakfast items excellent although bread dry on outside. No instructions on using equipment ie tv, heater spa Staircase was worse, too tight, nothing to grip onto, unable to take a drink upstairs. Basic door lock, no deadbolt or latch.

We had the single floor rooms but the outside was basically on the driveway so no outlook or view and not a nice place to sit . The aircon had such a high pitched loud whine that we couldn’t leave it on. Spa bath was excellent. No staff so it felt a bit deserted. Maybe a good place for a wedding in summer but wouldn’t stay again.

Facilities are well maintained as well. Only fault was the front desk. The only negative to our stay was we tried to communicate with the staff onsite and they were never available and brushed us off whenever we did find them.

Unaware from the website that there were STEEP narrow stairs to the bedroom, the bathroom sliding door only had one roller making the door hard to open. Whilst clean it's very dated, not good for people with mobility issues. Check in was just a name on a screen giving the room number.

There was no replacement so we had to cancel and find alternative accommodation at 6.30pm . The manager eventually approved a credit . The offer of a single room back in Adelaide didn’t suit either as I was with my grandson and daughter. This style of room would not suit seniors , or families .

Paul (6/5): good enough but the place is overdue for a makeover - courtyard is cute, shower soap was nice, bed was comfy as was the sofa shower pressure was excellent The towel rail was broken in the bathroom, there was no hot water to the sink, the bedside lamp was broken and the TV volume seems set low so as to not annoy other guests which is fair but it meant one couldn't hear it.

I had to ring up and asked about it and they were not sure if i had a booking or not . I was Asked multiple questions , when did i booked such as and the breakfast provision was not good either and also main things was the blankets we used to sleep at night, it has caused severe dust allergy to my husband and had to see the GP this morning as soon as we checked out. Never going back and if possible can i ask for my refund. And please let me know whom should i contact? Today was his birthday and now he is sick because of the dust allergy and the stay at this property.
