- Thomas (9/5): A convenient and comfortable hotel close to UPenn and its hospitals. - Nicely appointed suite with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette. Very comfortable, and very close to the UPenn hospitals. The price. Too expensive.
- Robert (7/5): It’s too expensive. I won’t be back again - Pleasant and comfortable The rate, the rate and the rate. $800 for one night is ridiculous for this hotel. No free breakfast , comps are minimal and no charging outlets near the bed. I know demand is high at this time of year and expect to pay above usual rates but this is simply gouging.

I had to have my gown shipped overnight, and someone was available at 630am to receive my package and notify me when it arrived. When I arrived, someone assisted me with my luggage and helped me carry it onto the elevator. I was also invited to partake in the congratulatory complimentary beverages and snacks when I arrived after the graduation ceremony. Excellent Service!

- Ting-Ting (2/5): 之前透過booking.com向飯店要求入住時請提供煮水壺，總共提了三次，前二次都沒有回應，最後一次居然回信說：他自己正在休假，沒辦法回信。令人失望的客戶服務！到了飯店check in ，跟櫃枱要求煮水壺時，居然說：我不知道這東西放在那裏。 - I requested a kettle through Booking.com three times before checking in. My first two requests were ignored, and the third time, the staff member actually replied saying they were on vacation and couldn't respond! Truly disappointing customer service. When I checked in and asked the front desk for a kettle, they simply told me, "I don't know where those are kept." What a disappointment!
- Alan (10/5): Just what I needed. Both from a personal and business perspective. - Marques early this morning and the evening staff last night were just amazing. I also had to come in for an emergency meeting. The Sunday of Mother's Day and Caitlin was spectacular. Truly great leadership must be there for the staff to be so pleasant and accommodating and authentic. Even though it was Mother's Day, they accommodated me with Neil's in a reasonable amount of time. I was truly surprised. PS the gingersnap cookies in the lobby are key. So appreciate the extra mile. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Philadelphia!! Honestly, I really can't think of anything and I travel a lot, and I have a lot to say about other places.
- starr (5/5): Great location, poorly appointed rooms. - location is why we stay there. Double rooms should have queen beds. Full beds are too small for two people. In the bathroom there should be a shelf to put your toiletry bag, there's just a sink, no where to put anything. Toiletry bag has to sit in the room. There should be an outlet at the nightstand so you can charge a phone. Closest outlet is across the room. Also, I didn't know my card was going to be charged $100 for incidentals, I assumed it was just a "hold". I used my bank card so I'm out the $100 until it gets reimbursed, which they said could be 5 days.

- Marina (9/5): Great staff and location, but a few room inconveniences and expensive parking. - Staff, room, and location were great. There’s a nice restaurant and bar downstairs, and a store just a block away, which was very convenient. The USB charger in the clock didn’t work, and there was no outlet near the bed. We came for a hospital surgery, so the low toilet made it difficult to get up. Valet parking is $58 per day, and there is no self-parking option at the hotel.

- dharinia2024 (10/5): An amazing stay at The Study at University City - We stayed at The Study University City this past weekend--We were there for the US Nationals Squash tournament. This is our Go-To hotel, whenever we come to Philly for a Squash tournament. I was there with my 2 young children and we had a large King room. From check in to check out, we had an amazing stay. The front desk staff was so pleasant and kind upon arrival- storing our luggage since we arrived early and our rooms weren't quite ready yet. We were offered water. When we got our rooms exactly on time as promised--the rooms were very clean, comfortable, large windows with plenty of light and beds are extremely comfortable. Plenty of fresh towels and very nice bath toiletries, plenty of closet space and drawers to store and a safe in the room for valuables. We had a room on the 9th floor with very nice views of Philadelphia skyline. I also liked that the windows had 2 sets of blinds--so you could completely darken the room when sleeping but only keep one shade down during the day if you want some light to filter through. Very smart! The hotel is so convenient if you are visiting in the University area---so close to Penn, Drexel, and Arlen Specter Center, just a 5 minute walk to each. Plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. We requested our rooms to be serviced each day and it was always done nicely so that when we returned after being at the tournament all day, it was nice to come to a clean room with fresh towels, and water. The Valet service offered at hotel is also very convenient. I particularly love the Study's lobby as it is large, open and plenty of light with many couches and comfortable seating to lounge in. The florals display is just beautiful. The complimentary coffee station in the lobby every morning is a nice touch. We love the Co-Op restaurant at the hotel which is lovely for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant has very good ambience, a nice bar, and the menu is awesome with many good options. The food is incredibly good--my kids loved the pancakes at breakfast and I loved the Avocado toast. For dinner, practically everything on the menu is so good. I had the linguine and clams which was very well made. The spaghetti bolognese is very good, as are all the salads, cheese plates, wine selections, all very high end. The staff at Co-Op super friendly and efficient. Very pleasant staff, we had a party of 30 people for dinner one evening the staff was so kind, pleasant and really did an amazing job with bringing our food and drinks on time and getting all the orders correct. Really amazing service, and the manager is lovely and very conscious that the customers are happy. Thank you to the The Study hotel and staff for an amazing stay---We really enjoyed it! - MDbeachgirl2112 (10/5): Yet another enjoyable stay at the Study - Quick visit midweek to see family. We have been staying at the Study since it opened in University City. The lobby is inviting with so many books to look at and lovely seating areas. The coffee in the morning is a great perk. The flower arrangements are special. The staff is friendly. The rooms are very comfortable from the plush bedding to the great showers with excellent water pressure. The hotel is very close to restaurants and both University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University. There are many small markets for snacks etc including two nearby Old Nelsons and an Heirloom Giant. This hotel feels like a second home.

But what stood out was the quality and warmth of every staff member who served us. All were absolutely stellar. Be it Patrick, Colleen, Katlyn and all others at the reception, housekeeping staff, the engineers, doorman etc. I have rarely experienced such a high level of hospitality and warmth in a hotel in the US. - Lauren (9/5): Modern and comfortable stay in University City - Modern and stylish hotel, with great amenities and friendly staff to accommodate requests. We requested a late check out due to a marathon and they were very understanding. Nothing but tea facilities in room for evening would be nice.

- 990rosemaryl (8/5): Good experience - Modern hotel with clean lines. The room could have used more amenities—a luggage rack, more hooks for clothing. That said, it has excellent beds and good food in the restaurant.

I love that tea and coffee are available in the morning in the lobby. It would be nice to have a coffee and tea time in the afternoon too.

- KAD70 (10/5): A+++ visit - The staff here are super attentive and very friendly. They were so helpful in telling me where to eat and what to do. Consummate professionals. The hotel is super comfortable and so convenient. The lobby has computers to use and has wonderfully comfortable seating to relax, enjoy a group chat, or eat a meal. The restaurant food and catering for our conference was delicious and the entire staff so warm and welcoming.

- Vivian (9/5): Beautiful hotel for my first visit to Upenn and Philly! - The hotel was in a safe and convenient location, located in between the UPenn and Drexel campuses. From the moment I walked in the lobby, I experienced a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The staff at the entrance and at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. The lobby was modern and clean, and had many areas for people to rest or work. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of my room, with spotless countertops, floors, and walls. The furnishings were simple and functional, with large desks. I also loved that my suite had a little room filled with books and a second desk! The placement of the outlets in my suite were a bit inconvenient. There was one outlet near the foot of the bed, but it was too far away for me to charge my phone if I placed it on the bedside table. I would have liked for there to be some outlets directly by the bed. The stopper in my bathroom sink couldn't be closed all the way, so it was essentially effective at plugging the drain. I wash my contact lenses so I would have liked for the stopper to work. Lastly, there was one day when I came back to my room and found that my door hadn't been fully closed after housekeeping stopped by because the manual lock had been left in the lock position, causing the door to get stuck without fully closing. None of my belongings were stolen, but I did notify hotel staff because that could have resulted in a safety issue.

- Agi (10/5): Cozy hotel with friendly staff - This was our third time at Study. Our son is a student in Philadelphia and his‘dorm is just two blocks away so this hotel is a very conveniert location for us. Beside the perfect location we love their rooms, especially corner room/ suit with lots of books. We also like the friendly and helpful satff, the cozy and inviting lobby with lots of chairs and books and their bar/ restaurant is excellent, as well. You can here the traffic noise a bit but not too badly.

- Francheska (10/5): We love The Study, Go birds ! - We love the convenience of having transportation such as the train near by. when we come to philly, we normally come for Sport events and this is probably one of the best located hotels to quickly hop on a train and get to a game. we love it ! check in is always so smooth and the girls up front are all so nice. we’ll continue coming here for sure. nothing, everything was awesome !
