Guest Reviews
- Ruth (10/5): - Cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. Location excellent for touring the area. A bit cold on arrival.
- Deborah (10/5): Perfect location, comfortable bed, will stay again! - Perfect location, comfortable bed, clean, tidy and well appointed. Nothing.
- Jane (9/5): -
- Lisa (8/5): Simply Beautiful. - Location was excellent and the cottage was beautiful. It would be great if you could add the addition of a washing machine. This would be better than a dishwasher in my opinion.
- Françoise (7/5): Je ne l'ai pas apprécié, j'ai eu trop froid - L'emplacement, bien décoré et équipé J'ai eu tellement froid
- Jerry (9/5): -
- Tamsin (10/5): Very lovely place to stay. Could have spent longer there. - Clean and cosy Only that we had to put the heating on when we arrived but it warmed up very quickly. It was fantastic though so really this was not an issue.
- Sabina (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Beautiful interior
- Julie (10/5): Wonderful and relaxing. - The warm comfortable feeling. It was just lovely. The coldness of the tiles on my feet in the bathroom.
- Shannon (7/5): Cute Cottage in Dumblane - Perfectly sized cottage with cute decor and a great location in Dunblane. The bed was comfy. The cottage was near the foot bridge over the train tracks into the village center. Everything was within walking distance. The cottage had parking right out front. The cottage was next to the train tracks and there was some train traffic noise (although not that bad). The shower had very little water pressure (even with the electric shower attachment). There was a huge misunderstanding about the property that was eventually handled by Booking.com.

- Jacquie (7/5): A pleasant stay - in Storm Amy - and we enjoyed visiting friends and celebrations at Nick’s place ! - The accommodation is a studio room and bathroom . Beautifully warm.spotless and well equipped .
If you didn’t want to chill as we did - the location is good for the train and supermarket -both are one minute away !
Dunblane is well located for lots of history locations and interesting places to visit . Dunblane is pretty and the Riverside cafe over the railway bridge is great for food and drink .and the shops , museum , golden post box and catherdral are all worth a visit. The cottage is more of a small studio room - and has windows on both sides ! The blinds have to be kept closed for privacy as there are paths that pass by them .
You sleep next to the front door essentially and we did feel quite uncomfortable with that - maybe a curtain over the door would help ! However we are of an age where we enjoy a bit of luxury and should have paid more attention to the description - it’s more for a younger generation . The studio has everything you need for a short stay and it’s easy to park outside .

- Joanne (8/5): Space has been very well maximised. Very comfortable. - Bit tricky to get key box open
- ANTONI (7/5): Spacious apartment convenient for visiting the area - Spacious apartment with all the details in a quiet location very close to Stirling.
Convenient for visiting the area.
The bed is wide and comfortable. I think the apartment would benefit greatly from an improvement in the decoration, furniture, etc.
But maybe it's just a matter of taste.
- ISABEL DOLORES (10/5): Maravilloso alojamiento.
- Iain (8/5): - The property was very good. Everything clean. Only bad part was the shower. Needs attention with the temperature. Always changed from hot to cold. Good location for what we wanted
- Joanne (10/5): Lovely cosy stay - Location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from village with most things you need on your doorstep. We had our 2 year old with us as we were going to a wedding in Stirling, but she enjoyed herself and little walks nearby to keep her occupied. Very clean, bed I would say is firm but I prefer that. Everything about it was very cosy. If I had to pick something, I would recommend replacing the wall clock with a silent one as it was quite loud when trying to sleep - but we still managed!
None.
- William (8/5): Perfect small town basecamp for train exploring - This is a great place as a basecamp for exploring the region by train. It’s like a big hotel room with a small kitchen. Nothing fancy but does the job just fine. It’s next to the train station and close to the town centre. The cough that turns in a bed isn’t very comfortable.
- Loraine (9/5): Superb -
- Katja (8/5): Very good -
- George (7/5): Good - Nice cottage in a central location. Dunblane is very well connected and the railway station is near the cottage..Good for a short stay. It's a bit overlooked by pedestrians and some extra thought could be given to how it could have its daylight but maintain privacy too.
- Andrea (7/5): Good -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Joan (8/5): A very nice wee cottage in a good location and well priced - Great location and nice cosy cottage. Well stocked and very clean. It was smaller than we expected from the photos. The extractor fan didn't work and I suggest a blind in the bathroom. It's on a main
path so be prepared for lots of people passing by.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location and fantastic studio unit with everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend Nothing
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (2/5): Very poor - Never stayed was only there for 3 hoirs not enough heaters it was far too cold
- Andrea (9/5): A very enjoyable stay in a beautifully decorated, cosy cottage. - Quaint cottage which was clean, cosy and well equipped. The only thing is the lack of space for storing food. There is a good size fridge but not much room for storing other food.
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - Great place location excellent very relaxing .
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect Everything
- Jane (9/5): Superb - Perfect for a single traveller and handy for station and shops . Could have done with a freezer compartment in the fridge . Couldn't regulate the heating.
- Maxine (8/5): Lovely little cottage - Lovely decor. Very clean. Comfy bed with quality bedding. Nice big shower. Free parking. No thin pillows so that was a problem. Not good if you want to do any serious cooking as there are two smoke detectors in a relatively small room.
- Simone (9/5): Lovely place - gorgeous studio, everything you need It was dark and raining when I arrived, and I couldn't find the property for quite a while.
When I got inside it was freezing as the heaters hadn't been put on
- Caro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (9/5): Great place to stay and relax - Lovely little property ideal to explore the area and easy parking opposite with a nice pub over the railway bridge Nothing not to like
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Marney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Derek (9/5): Great little find - Great location, comfortable, clean, and very warm. Had everything we needed and we would stay again
- Diane (10/5): Great stay in Dunblane, perfect location for exploring the area . - Clean, cosy, well equipped & in a great location.
- Arthur (10/5): A little gem - Fabulous little place,.clean and cozy and very well equipped Nothing!
- Alicia (9/5): Superb -
- Curtis (9/5): Superb - A very spacious cottage with a modern bath and most kitchen appliances. I especially found the bed's mattress and pillows most comfortable, rivaling those of upper end hotels. One evening, at about one in the morning, we were awakened by a loud pounding on our door. This was followed by loud talking and laughing. I believe someone mistook our cottage for another, as raucous conversation followed nearby for several minutes. Other than that, the area is largely quiet.
- Grant (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alastair (8/5): The cottage suited us really well! - Great location, decor , general vibe. The green light above the door! ok when covered by newspaper.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Esther (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - Very well equipped, comfortable and very clean.
- Calum (10/5): Great location for exploring Stirling, Edinburgh, etc.. - Cottage was great. Very convenient for grocery shopping, literally 2 minutes from the cottage. Very clean and everything was perfect. Be prepared for a surprise when you enter ;-) !!
- Adrian (8/5): Very good -
- Ng (9/5): Superb - The location is superb, right next to Tesco, with excellent cleanliness and a spacious, clean bathroom. Just a small suggestion for improvement, a new dish washing sponge will be good every time a new tenant checks in.
- Wylie (9/5): Superb -
- Jaeger (10/5): We loved the comfort and the proximity of the cottage and also the people in the village were so friendly - Homely, welcoming and relaxing feel to it. Good info left for us to ponder over
Decor was tasteful Nothing really, if we had to be picky maybe the outside could have a bit of a spruce up ???
- Kirsty (10/5): Fab wee cottage situated in a quiet area, bus & train are a 2min walk away. Would definitely book again. - Clean, cosy and had a homely feel about it. N/A
- Harley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arnot (10/5): Exceptional - Comfy bed. Most things you needed. Handy for local transport. Pint of milk would have been handy.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect for what we required Nothing to dislike
- James (7/5): Good -
- Irene (10/5): Exeptional cottage - Cosy cottage with everything you can need Nothing
- Lynne (9/5): It was very comfortable and convenient for visiting our friends who live close by. - Very clean and comfortable. Well kitted out. No blind or curtains in the bathroom.
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - Cute and bijou Nothing
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johnson (10/5): Exceptional - Cute, cosy, well equipped, small but perfectly formed. Liked that we had a small dining table. Nothing
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional - Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Very central to shops. Will definitely return
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (10/5): We will be back! - Location ideal for our purposes. Clean, cosy cottage equipped with everything we needed.
- Steve (9/5): Perfect short stay - Cosy and compact, excellent location.
- James (8/5): Great location for town & exploring area by car or train - Location - 2 mins from train station (train to Stirling, Perth, Glasgow & Edinburgh), 1 min walk to local Tesco, 5 min walk to town & restaurants.
Beautiful decor, very comfy bed & linen, well equipped for self catering
Fridge (no freezer compartment), cooker & dishwasher (tablets supplied)
Good shower, lovely fluffy towels (poor choice of toiletries), decent hairdryer & plug points near to mirror This is a cottage converted to one large open room & separate bathroom. Distinct lack of privacy when Roman blinds were open as though it’s a great central location, it also sits on a busy junction of two roads & a public walkway which means people passing can see into the cottage.
Floors were FREEZING, suggest disposable slippers being provided or take ur own as when u enter the cottage you are straight in off the main road into the body of the cottage so when wet outside we found the floor got a big mucky & as I mentioned the floors are very cold.
We didn’t even try to park outside the cottage (nightmare of a road)… Tesco has a lower car park where you can park for £2.70 a day & it’s a 1 min walk to the front door
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (9/5): Superb -
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meghan (10/5): Exceptional - VERY CUTE AND HOMEY PLACE. THE ENTIRE STAY WAS EASY AND COMFORTABLE THE SHOWER TOOK A LITTLE GETTING USED TO BUT NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT
- Lynne (10/5): Very nice stay - Great for a few days stay perfect location Hist was easy to contact Everything we needed and short walk to centre
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hazel (9/5): great value, clean and comfirtable - n/a Most properties leave fresh milk and kitchen roll so those would have been nice
- Linda (10/5): Weekend break at cobblers cottage - Cottage was clean and comfortable had everything you needed. Was close to all amenities and a very quiet location.
- Juanita (8/5): Quaint cottage with very good self catering facilities - Good central location to town, property supplied everything you need to self cater including yummy coffee. Lots of nice touches to make it feel homely. Free parking outside cottage. Bed & pillows could of been more comfortable. Next to train station so a little noisy at times.
- Nicky (10/5): Perfect place to stay and expolore - Location is great, just perfect to explore Dumblane We liked everything.
- Vic (10/5): Sweet Wee Cottage - A sweet wee cottage which is well resourced and has all that you need for a comfortable stay. Loved the massive soft towels and that heating became automatic if the temperature dropped. Poor lighting over the two kitchen benches and bathroom sink.
- Laura (8/5): Brilliant location and well thought out cottage for couples or small family. - the location was superb, and the layout of the cottage was brilliant. the beds were so comfy! I felt the flooring was quite ‘hard’ and would have like softer flooring in the ‘bedroom’ area. I thought there would have been toiletries for the shower, this was a little disappointing.
- Letitia (10/5): Brilliant - Lovely little cottage in a lovely little village with everything you need Not long enough there
- Michael (9/5): Very nice cottage in Dunblane - The modest outside hides a modern, well equipped cottage on the inside. It is situated just minutes walk from shops and restaurants. We were not disturbed, but the railway track runs not very far from the cottage.
- David (9/5): A good find just where we w - A small insignificant looking cottage but once inside it was spacious, well laid out and tastefully decorated. Facilities good.
Ideally situated for trains to Edinburgh, shops and eating places. Nothing really.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): A Small Cosy Cottage in Beautiful Dunblane - The property is bright and clean and has everything you need for a few days exploring the beautiful town of Dunblane. A few minutes from the railway station and the same to the town. You can reach Glasgow or Edinburgh within an hour by train. We shall certainly pay Cobblers cottage a return visit. There was nothing that would keep us from a return visit.
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Joseph (9/5): Comfortable accommodation and excellent base for exploring parts of Scotland - Property was well-equipped and comfortable. Great use of space - plenty of room to relax - and nice decor. Some lovely attention to detail running throughout to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable.
Good wi-fi. Handled zoom calls and Netflix streams!
Superb location - Dunblane has some lovely pubs and restaurants/takeaways - but the cottage was also a great base for exploring some of Scotland’s must-visits. Glasgow, Loch Lomond and Edinburgh are all less than an hour away by car but the railway line next to the cottage serves all major locations. We took the train to Edinburgh and Stirling and we’re able to travel back late in the evenings to maximise our time enjoying the nightlife.
Tesco is walking distance from the cottage for all the essentials.
For those travelling in an EV - Scotland seems to be a lot further forward in terms of installing public charge points so we had no issues for the duration of our trip. The local Tesco has x2 50w chargers No complaints here - we loved the property
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Ailsa (9/5): Lovely, chilled-out weekend break in beautiful cottage - Location was really convenient for station, restaurant and shops.
The cottage itself is lovely inside - really restful and tasteful decoration. The open plan layout makes it seem spacious and it's flooded with natural light. Really appreciated the little touches like the coffee pods and the tablet giving information about the property and the area. The cottage itself was brilliant. My only issue was with people passing by it at night - because the door opens straight into the living space and the other side backs onto a footpath, I did jump a couple of times at sudden coughs / noises - and someone knocked the door as I was in bed the first night. This would be less of an issue if people weren't staying there alone. The noise of trains passing is audible but didn't disturb my sleep at all.
- Heather (10/5): Stay was great lovely homely surroundings, maybe for future a breakfast pack could be offered . - Breakfast wasn’t included tea coffee and biscuits were there.the bed was amazing very comfortable x
- Kevin (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our st. We would recommend to family and friends. We will definitely visit again. - Location of the cottage was ideal. Close to supermarket and short walk to restaurants and high street.
Cottage was spotless, spacious and had everything we could need.
Dunblane is a lovely town with a very relaxing feel to it. The cathedral is a must visit. Without trying to think really hard we had no dislikes with the property.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was beautifully designed and very well thought out. The attention to detail is what you'd expect from a five star hotel.
The walks along the river near-by were a highlight. Perhaps could do with some net curtains as people tend to walk by on the foot paths.
