- Rebecca (7/5): Great value but might not suit everyone. - Howie was very friendly and helpful. Bertie was a delight. Room was very good value for money and was clean and well equipped. Shower was great as was the location to beach etc. Free parking on road was a bonus. Smell from other people’s cooking was very unpleasant. Walls are very thin meaning you can hear every word from neighbouring rooms and especially annoying if they leave the tv on full volume all night. Not great if you want a good nights sleep.

- Malcolm (6/5): - Good location comfy bed. Although clean we had a cockroach running across the floor a daddy longleaf and two dead flies in shower. Power socket with tv, jug, microwave and mini fridge blew Fuze so no tv manager not helpful to sort problem at 8pm. We were able to use kitchen accross corridor for jug and microwave.

Nice courtyard outside, somewhere to sit in evening but weather did no favours. All up an exceptional find. Rules…. first thing I saw on entry was the sign posting all the Rules. Placards and signs everywhere with Rules and threats of eviction if we step out of line. Bruce, pull back on the officialdom, it’s quite disconcerting and despite my favourable comment above, I felt I’d lose nothing by doing an about turn and checking in to the Novotel but I’d already paid up front. Normally I stay across the road but this time thought I’d give you a try.

- Sherin (1/5): The place is OK. But the hosts are not OK - The main host was rude, not welcoming as you expect a hospitality host to be. We were late to check in due to unexpected rain in the South Island and drive took longer than expected as we wanted to drive safe. Because we were late the host was rude by reminding us the check out is at 10 am. With such behavior obviously I wouldn’t want to stay longer because it’s common sense that all stays have a standard check out time and there’s no need for a rude reminder. Although most places have a flexible check in even if it’s late they should arrange a key to pick up in safe place as most places does if that’s what triggered the whole behaviour or if they are usually so rude. To add on the booking said private bathroom it’s not along with the cabin it’s separate in the main house so you need to walk all the way to main house and shower which is right next to the reception, which had to be mentioned in the booking to know it’s not really private.

- Louis (5/5): - Nice and chill. Good location close to the pier and the hot pools. The fact that there’s writing on the walls everywhere. What you should and shouldn’t do. Felt like I was told what to do from a wall at all times. Didn’t really liked that and honestly it was a bit uncomfortable. I think the owner needs to understand that if he wants to make money hosting people, the guests should have free will in order to feel comfortable inside the guest house. Many of the writings had a passive aggressive sort of vibe.

When I raised the issue, he was very rude and defensive and came across as quite hostile. Thankfully, support at Booking.com stepped in and helped me find another place to stay, which I really appreciated.

- Jennifer (10/5): Not what we expected, but overall quite pleasant - Was wary of the rainstorms going on at the time, so decided to find somewhere with a roof over our heads and Sandy Feet Accommodation offered the best price for it. I was expecting bunk beds for my friend & I, but it was instead just one bed (to be fair, the booking did say it was one of the two options). But the bed was quite large, so there was enough space for the both of us with a pillow fort in the middle. There was a kettle in the bedroom, plus complementary tea, coffee, and sugar, complete with cups. There was free milk & water in the fridge, and you can use the kitchen however you like except for cooking pungent foods (garlic, etc.). TV had YouTube on it, so we had a blast watching Border Security 😂 The bathtub had marks on it, but it didn't seem removable via water or brushing, so I guess it's just some minor damage that stuck around...

- YIHAN (7/5): 比较适合行李少的成人出行，带娃和多行李要慎重 - 周围很安静，停车很方便 房间是个阁楼，要上狭窄又有点陡的楼梯，带娃拎行李不是很方便。房主很注重安静，特意强调小孩子不能出噪音，楼板确实很不隔音，所以我一直限制小朋友大声说话和玩闹，确实很拘束小朋友，对于享受旅程的他们，感觉很不好，没有单独的那种汽车旅馆或者单独的房间那么自在。

- Marine (5/5): Un bon lieu, un hôte antipathique - Le lieu est vraiment top, tout est là. Au niveau matériel rien besoin de plus. L'hôte a été extrêmement désagréable. Des injonctions sont écrites au marqueur noir sur les murs du bâtiment, c'est extrêmement oppressant. Une taxe complètement illégale de 50 dollars si on utilise les équipements après 10pm. L'homme qui tient l'hébergement est venu derrière notre porte de salle de bain pour dire à mon mari d'éteindre la lumière une fois être passé aux toilettes... Il nous a reproché que ce que nous cuisinions sentait trop fort (pâtes et bœuf sans aucun aromates...) et a donc ouvert la fenêtre de cuisine. Il y avait un chien sur place, non stipulé dans l'annonce et j'en suis allergique... L'établissement est en vente, ceci explique cela.
- Lily (7/5): - we had our own bathroom in room number 5 which I didnt expect from the booking description. Lovely room with a view of the garden. The owner could be a bit grumpy. We were only there for one night, I apparently left the toilet light on three/four times and I immediately got told off. I think thats a bit weird, I get it, energy saving is important but you are a guest and it is travellers accomodation. Also you are not allowed to cook with garlic or chili, which means you can only cook pretty bland foods. I thought that was unnecessarily restrictive, if you cook, it will always leave a smell. But this is something apparently many new zealanders find annoying.
- Myla (6/5): Just a place to stay - The structure of our room is nice, the supplied items are good like the toiletries, kitchen items, hair dryer, heatpump, pillows etc. We have to park our car on the street, it felt so unsafe. The bathroom is so tiny and when you shower, the curtain stick to you. There are so many writings on the wall as reminders but they are not written in a traditional way as we see on establishments.

- Elise (1/5): "Those noisy girls in room 5" - Absolutely nothing. As soon as my friend and I arrived to Sandy Feet Accomodation we were treated with scorn. I had meant to book a twin but instead booked a double and the owner was quite angry with me for my mistake claiming I should be calling all accomodation before I arrive to verify the details. On the first night my friend (18) and I (19) heard a knock on the door at 10:13pm, as soon as I opened the door the owner began to yell at me stating that we were behaving as if we were in a 'paddock' and that there was a young boy in the next room that had a soccer game the next morning. I began to apologise but the owner interrupted me and said 'shut up', he continued to repeat that for the next few minutes as we tried to explain that we weren't very loud and that we did not know about the child next door. My friend and I both girls, were quite scared as this grown man had been yelling at us. We know had we been older or men he would not have felt the confidence to abuse us. The room was also quite small and untidy as I found a beer can under a chair as well as a beer top. We decided to leave the next day due to our discomfort, he immediately agreed and said that would be 'great', however we needed to stay another night due to the checkout time having passed. While discussing receiving a refund he said we would have to wait a week as he has just cleared out his bank paying large bills, which is definitely inappropriate to discuss with us as clients. It was now been multiple weeks since we have left and are still yet to receive a refund. When talking to him on the phone about not having received a refund yet he referred to us as "those noisy girls in room 5", and when asked for help in receiving it through booking.com he began repeating the "I am not booking.com" every time we asked a question.

- Marg (7/5): 3 night stay. - Were able to walk to pier and hotc pools. Uber services were excellent. Fridge and microwave in room. Kitchen facility with plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery. Kind, caring staff. Lack of guest laundry facilities.

- 滿子 (9/5): 價格實惠，住宿體驗佳，淋浴間稍加改善更佳。 - 房東友善，布置別致，價格實惠，可用廚房。 1.淋浴間太小，蓮蓬頭又固定在上方，不是連接管子，可移動那種，調水溫時，太冷或太熱無處可躲。 2.洗臉台沒看到塞子，冷、熱水龍頭又分開，無法將冷、熱水調和使用，頗為不便。
