- Andrew (10/5): - Amazing view and location. The outside deck is perfect to relax on. Plenty of space Nothing really
- Beltz (10/5): - The location is perfect, close to town and all the riding trails derby has.
- Justine (8/5): -
- Janine (10/5): - Such an out of the way location but so worth the drive. Lovely little place and was my Mum's highlight of her whole holiday. Heating in each room was different but worked a charm. Did not know about the bike riding area so that was so a nice suprise. Great value for money. Touch pad to enter the code was a little temperamental. The showers all had some water escape so that should be looked at.

- Mark (9/5): Superb - Location and views The old shed for the bikes
- Kevin (9/5): Had a very enjoyable and trouble free stay - Closeness to the trail head and shuttles Not enough fire wood
- Anthony (10/5): The Door to toilet is just scrapping on tiles. Also the opening button on the micro oven is sticks -
- Anonymous (9/5): Great base to hit the tracks and enjoy what Derby has to offer. - Nice and close to the shuttle point! The beds were a bit small, particularly for tall people.
- Andrew (8/5): Fantastic location and view - View and location is awesome. Showers are the best I’ve ever used, perfect post ride. Cottage was nicely updated, clean and well equiped for a short or long stay.
Would stay again. Bed layout not very suited to couples. Ideally need at least 1 queen or some king singles at least for taller folks.
Internet was very slow
Shed isn’t powered if you need to charge an eMTB securely.

- Belinda (10/5): my husband and son love mountain biking. we were right amongst it and I could see them out the window. had everything yo - location and views! nothing really.
- Tony (9/5): Superb - 200 mts from the trail head...ideal
Bike wash and lock up facilities...ideal
Plenty of space inside and out
Comfy beds and sofas
Great kitchen and laundry facilities
- Joanne (8/5): Great location to biking area. - Location was a walk into town. Also very close to entry of bike track. We rode into town to collect our bikes then rode to the bike track.
Was an open fire if wanted plus airconditioning. Plenty of blankets. 2 bathrooms. Washer and dryer and an outside line and clothes airer. Cannot complain.
- Marcelle (9/5): Derby Digs - Wonderful location and beautiful house. Beds and couch were comfortable and the house had lots of space with everything you needed. Stayed at many places in Derby and this is now one of our favourites.
- Charlotte (10/5): Can we come back to Derby Digs sometime soon, mum? - This place was amazing!! It totally exceeded our expectations in every way. It was bigger than we thought, closer to everything than we realised, and had so much stuff there to help make our stay more comfortable. It was one of our more expensive stays but it fits 9 people so it would have been good value with a bigger group. We loved having it to ourselves.
- Nathan (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Freezing in winter - The house is massive, and would be great for families to stay in the summer. It's been renovated by the owner, who was next door renovating a second house during our stay.
Derby Digs lacks character and warmth, painted stark white, decorated with cheap looking prints on the walls and single light bulbs in the fixtures on the high ceilings. There are no lamps, so if you're sitting around chatting in the evenings you'll be under the full fluro lights.
Our dissatisfaction was with the lack of heating. There are no electric blankets or heaters, only the wood fire. Thankfully, wood was kindly provided. The first night i slept on the lounge in front of the fire, as temperatures were freezing and the bedrooms were like ice boxes. I spoke with the owner who said there were heaters in the closet (which is locked to guests), and he said instructions on where to find heaters was in the info booklet on the kitchen table (which there were not). When we arrived back on day 2, the owner had produced 1 heater in 1 bedroom, and had the fire going. The magical closet of heaters was still locked.
Unfortunately my friends staying in the other rooms suffered a night of freezing temperatures.
The kitchen is full of ants. The coffee pod machine that is mentioned as a selling point in the description was full of dirty empty pods and growing mould. There is no long life milk to go with it, byo.
There is no wifi, (no 3G or 4G internet either) no optus phone reception, no landline.
- Kellie (10/5): Highly Recommended - Lovely spacious property that provided a fantastic base for families and groups to explore the Derby mountain bike trails. Hosts were easy to communicate with and we look forward to our next stay.
