We were living in the one bedroom lake-view lodge it is so comfortable and elegantly decorated, also full of necessary facilities for cooking,laundry,basically everything and more of what we need. The owner Mr. Wang and Mrs. Helen treated as like families, we were deeply touched especially during Chinese New Year season. Last but not least, the beautiful Lake Karapiro is within walking distance, and you can just look outside of your room windows or simply walk to the terrace of your own then the lake is just all in your eyes. And the doggie here named HAPPY is everything to us, we have had the best time with him. He is the best.

The place, the lodge itself was wonderful. Beautiful scenery and the car park were big enough to fit many cars. The lodge itself was amazing to stay in, very spacious and big to hold an entire family. Would 100% recommend to anyone travelling towards Cambridge!

Right from the warm host, the stunning location, the cleanliness of the place…. Everything is outstanding !! Lovely garden, Linen , amenities, connectivity to the different attractions … it was just perfect for us! It’s ideal for families and even more fabulous for couples !! The host is fabulous and friendly, very prompt to respond to anything we needed. Her suggestions of good Italian places for dinner was spot on! There’s nothing to not like about the property! It’s almost perfect ! If I do have to pick something it would be the proximity to the main road ( however that’s also an advantage) and you can hear the traffic ONLY WHEN you stand outside . Inside the house it’s absolutely quiet.

The host greeted us, got to know us and then personally shopped for our Continental breakfast. The views are outstanding, we wanted to live there! Thank you so very much for our stay! We loved the home, nothing was out of place.

We enjoyed driving to get to places because we wanted to get the most of the scenic drives. The place was so relaxing you really could stay there all day! Perfect to wind down after a long day if you choose to have a long day out ! Everything was perfect!!! The only thing I would like to comment on is the shower.

You walk in and your jaw drops it's feels warm and cozy ❤️, everything is flash, the bathroom has extra lil touches like perfumes in there lots of extra complementary toiletries, the water pressure is amazing and their were plenty of towels etc, the dinning room fit all my whānau really well, the longe has extra things in like games to keep all the kids occupied etc, when our breakfast goodies got delivered my jaw dropped again, organic home grown fruits and your able to access the vege garden for herbs etc so blown away by the amazing hospitality 😁❤️, will definitely stay if we go to Cambridge again 🙌🏽, Thank you for having us and being so kind and amazing, also the kitchen has more appliances than my actual house! Everything you need plus way more!!like a walk in wardrobe 😁🙌🏽 The views are also spectacular! Best whānau trip yet 🙌🏽

Michael (10/5): A beautiful property in a stunning location and wonderful setting, with spectacular views. - Alpacas in the paddock; superb deck with a gorgeous outlook, beautifully kept gardens and a warm, welcoming 'home' perfectly in tune with the lovely Cambridge countryside Tastefully furnished, excellently equipped with lots of lovely touches A perfect place to stay for 6 or more adults 3 bathrooms for 4 bedrooms! Perhaps converting the small double bedroom to a bathroom would resolve this, our one and only issue
Daniele (10/5): Just come and stay - you will enjoy it ! - Thé excellent lake views, drew us to the verandahs each night to enjoy the sunsets, starry skies and a beverage or two - even my grandson joined us for the moments of enjoying nature with hot chocolate - The lodge is very well designed and catered to our large group four queen rooms one twin share three toilet/showers large dining lounge area and well catered kitchen and laundry. Would definitely come back. Helen and Steven are wonderful hosts and offered us foods for breakfast - very thoughtful. Various points of interest - the sculptures and night lighting in the gardens, alpacas and family dogs, the veggie garden which Helen offered some food from . Thank you Bring insect repellent
Catherine (9/5): lovely property with exceptional views - Clean comfortable and an exceptional view. The grounds are immaculate, the owners work very hard to keep them pristine. Not enough bath towels and we didn’t realise we would have to cook our own breakfast. Although there was a lot of items left for us to make breakfast, there was only six eggs for two days. The lodge wasn’t serviced in the two days we were there, I read in their guide that they weren’t serviced at the weekends but we stayed Monday to Wednesday.
