First room was cold, had gaps in the windows and doors. Shower was a trickle. Second room was warmer and shower was great. Definitely budget accommodation. Suggest a ton of money needs to be spent on it, or bulldozed and start again.

Celia on reception was friendly and obliging. Not much pressure in shower, toilet paper could be installed in a more accessible location but all good other wise.

- Takarua (8/5): All goods ae - Awesome staff, nice stay and with the bonus addition of a tavern next door. How good. Tavern curry meal, absolutely trash. The snitzel was disgusting too. Sorry to say! But the curry was insulting. Make it fresh or not at all. Microwaved trash. Yuck.

There are nearby takeaway food shops - so when we arrived after hours, we could still buy some food for late dinner. For affordable prices, the quality was expected. Overall, cleanliness is decent. It can be better. The shower head was too short when the bathtub was too high - taking a shower was a little bit awkward. Getting out of th3 bathtub after shower was almost dangerous since it's slippery and no handle to hold on to.

- Rebecca (8/5): Spacious motel with large carpark and ground floor units! - Great spacious parking and all units were on the ground floor so no steps to carry up a suitcase! Older style unit but very comfortable and I had a great night sleep! And was great to have a water bottle in the fridge and cookies with the tea bags etc. The shower took a bit to get the temperature and pressure right, but once that was right the shower was great!! Good location, Very close to shops and the motorway! Although this is on a busy road there was no noise during the night. A bit cold, but there was extra blankets and a electric blanket available. The front door was hard to open, I think this was due to the carpet but it worked out well because it meant the door stayed open while moving luggage etc without the door shutting and locking.

- raymond (6/5): Budget motel in news of some TLC - Location was good for our trip around the south island, was a quiet area, qirg plenty of parking. Tea, coffee with biscuits supplies. We knew it was a budget motel but it was rather dated, the rooms were tired and in need of redecorating.

- Peter (2/5): dangerous - the second room had a nice green attached first room was smelly and by trying to vent I had to discover that the EMERGENCY EXIT was not working! Could not open the emergency door. Unusual handle without any sign how to use was slackly but not working. I also couldn’t unlock the door from outside with the room-key. Mattresses were standing right beside. Real nice fire-death-trap. No reaction from staff or owners direct at site and or after 3 weeks.
