• Emma (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this proprietor run B&B and hope to return. - This is in a lovely rural location with views of the countryside. The owners have a dog, keep chickens and geese and a vegetable garden. They use some of this produce in the breakfasts. Their tomatoes were superb and they evidently took pride in the quality of the selection of home made cakes, biscuits and some savoury dishes at breakfast. Laura was very accommodating in making me pots of tea. We were going to a wedding and she offered to make us lunch. Anticipating sandwiches we were delighted by a fantastic selection of local bread, meats, cheese and tomatoes. Although our room had aircon and the weather was in the 30s, as the room was airy with high ceilings we didn’t need it, which was ideal. With the geese nearby it felt safe to leave ground floor windows open at night. The room was spacious, simple and rustically furnished but very clean, with enough storage, a small fridge and pretty quilted bedspreads. Our shower room was compact but spotlessly clean with plenty of towels, which were freely replaced. Our room was in a single storey building adjacent to the main house. It had a hallway shared with the room next door, with a kettle and doors onto a shaded seating area. This arrangement would be convenient if you were going as part of a group. The property is on a hiking route from Rome to Canterbury (Via Francigena). There were lots of keen hikers who really appreciated that each room had a clothes airer so they could rinse and dry items of clothing in their own seating area. Thankfully no sweaty hiking for me - just some delicate swimwear to be refreshed by the sunlight! Il Canto Del Sole has a generous sized pool, which is salt water and very refreshing. There were plenty of comfortable loungers with side tables and an open, spacious well maintained garden. Much of the time I had it to myself and it was gloriously peaceful. We were woken up at 7 am by the noisy cleaning ladies shouting to each other across the courtyard directly outside our window. They carried on over the sound of the hoovers as they cleaned the room next door. There was only one pillow on each bed. We would have found it useful to have cups and spoons as well as the kettle for making tea and coffee, but we asked for some and it was no problem.

• Bernhard (9/5): Rundum toller Aufenthalt mit Wohlfühlcharakter - Auf dem Land in den senesischen Hügeln, aber trotzdem zentral, um Siena, die Creti Senesi, Montepulciano, Montalcino und viel anderes zu besuchen. Sehr leckeres und vielfätiges Frühstück. Pool wird auch im Herbst unterhalten. Schöne Terrasse mit schöner Aussicht. Schöne und gut unterhaltene Gebäude. Gefällt uns alles. Der Pingpong-Tisch könnte ersetzt werden. Aber das steht gar nicht beim Angebot.

Anche il nostro cane si è goduto a pieno il soggiorno. Non ci sono molte camere e quindi abbiamo usufruito della piscina in solitaria. Ottima posizione per spostarsi in auto per la Toscana. Durante l’inizio dell’estate ci sono vari campi di girasole vicino la rotonda che si incontra venendo dal sud ed entrato a monteroni d’arbia. Il paese dispone di tutti i servizi essenziali. La struttura ha persino un punto ricarica per auto elettriche. Nulla. Basta essere consapevoli che bisogna spostarsi in auto.

Couple of occasions we couldn't find anyone when we had questions but figured it all out eventually and to be fair the laid back atmosphere is part of the charm

Ottimo per famiglie, un gruppo di amici o un viaggio di coppia. Posizione stupenda in mezzo alla campagna senese, curato e pulito. La zona piscina bellissima, ben mantenuta e perfetta per rinfrescarsi e trovare riparo dalla calura estiva. Letti e cuscini comodi, stanza pulita e con piccolo frigorifero. Ci sono anche scivolo e altalena per i più piccoli. I proprietari sono stati favolosi, sempre disponibili e gentili. Oltre alle colazioni buonissime con torte fatte in casa (dolci e salate) abbiamo avuto anche l'opportunità di cenare presso il B&B: TUTTO buonissimo, ben curato e fatto con passione.

Cleaning is done daily, swimming pool cleaned in the morning as well. Breakfast is very good for Italy, not only sweets but even eggs are available. Good coffee. We returned after 17 years, and loved our stay as much as the first time! The hosts, Laura and Luciano, are so friendly and caring. The breakfast buffets are delicious, filled with homemade savoury and sweet creations. Rooms are clean, comfortable and traditionally decorated. The only thing we missed was a kettle, mugs and glasses in the room.

The property itself sat high on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. The grounds were spectacular - lots of intimate sitting spaces, a gorgeous saltwater pool, lovely flowers and garden. Our room was spacious, cozy, and immaculate. We had our own little side patio. Everyday someone came to clean and bring fresh towels. What service! And the breakfast - fresh cappuccinos, bread, cakes, pastries, eggs (from their own chickens), meats and cheeses. Fantastic fresh food! I can’t say enough about this lovely refuge. Absolutely nothing.

Having dinner onsite is m - Loved this property and the beautiful owners Luciano and Laura. The care and attention put into the property, rooms, food and guests is truly wonderful. We were recommended the property from friends who had stayed 15 years earlier and said it was some of the best food they had eaten. Fast forward today and I stayed with my wife and baby daughter and it’s still a phenomenal place. We had dinner both nights and it was gorgeous - both the food and the eating room. Three course meals with family recipes and traditional dishes. Couldn’t ask for a better countryside Tuscan experience. The room was large and spacious. Importantly for us there was a shared sitting room which we were able to use when our baby was asleep into the room. We were able to drive right up to the room which made packing and unpacking the car very easy. There was an onsite electric charger. Everything was extremely convenient. Nothing

It is also a large family-run farm and the owner-managers are very efficient, friendly and helpful. Laura is a talented and passionate chef who provides beautiful food and interesting insights into each recipe. She also provided us with valuable advice and directions regarding our next visits to Siena and other local areas. We honestly felt like we were being entertained and guided by family friends. The property is located within easy driving distance to the spectacular city of Siena. Our room was authentically designed and furnished, and it was impeccably clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing and included freshly-baked sweet and savoury treats. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we were sad that we could not stay longer. We would highly recommend Il Canto del Sole as a wonderful place to stay. Perfect

• Fulya (10/5): we stayed here for 2 nights to join a wedding at the castello fabiano nearby. it was a perfect stay. - i really liked the property itself, everything was well thought of, quiate a family business but very professional I loved that they went out of their way, when i was asking for non pork food and they provided me with chicken and turkey alternatives. this is a great and kind initiative i will never forget :) also my pertner broke a porcelain bowl in the room and we offered to pay as it was an accident but the owners refused to accept any payment. We were very humbled. the best was not very comfortable, i could feel the springs. still it didnt ruin our stay. the wifi did not work everywhere on the property but i think thats because it was a remote location and vast land, so i cannot complaint.

• Eric (10/5): The place to stay in the Val d'Orcia - The property is a gorgeous renovated large private home in a wonderfully convenient location. Beautiful grounds and pool, great and plentiful breakfast, clean comfortable rooms. The absolute best part of staying here though, are the hosts: Luciano and Laura. They are two of the sweetest, most helpful and considerate people I've ever met. If you need a place to stay in the Sienna area, this is the one! Oh, and If you don't feel like going out to dinner, Laura is a gifted cook who will provide a great dinner if asked for a reasonable price. There was absolutely nothing to complain about.

• Emily (10/5): Loved this place, did not want to leave - Location, staff went above and beyond to meet our needs, they helped with a great dinner recommendation and even let us do a couple loads of laundry. Great hosts! And the breakfast was so good! The pool was great since it was so hot, but it isn’t heated so a little too cold for me.
• Tomas (10/5): Fell in love with this place - This is an amazing farm in the heart of Tuscany. But the incredible part is the owners and staff – Luciano, Laura and their team made us feel extremely comfortable during our stay. Their kindness and attention to the details creates such a hospitable atmosphere. Always smiling and ready to help if you’re looking for some recommendations. The food is amazing – fresh eggs from the farm, homemade pies, great coffee and everything else – during our 9 nights stay we had great breakfast every morning. Sometimes they make dinners too – delicious homemade italian dishes according to the family recipies. And after the breakfast you may return to your sparkling clean room. The location is amazing for staying with kids – there are horses, a donkey, chickens and a very friendly dogs. Luciano e Laura, grazie! -
• Robyn (10/5): Beautiful property and amazing hosts! - Luciano & Laura were wonderful hosts of their beautiful property! The property is lovely to explore and includes a pool and lovely garden. The location is very quiet and close enough to go to Siena and surrounding areas. Luciano gave us wonderful recommendations for a couple of restaurants nearby as well as a winery for tastings. Laura cooked us amazing breakfasts with a large selection and made us the most delicious dinner for our last night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again. The beds are a bit hard and an extra pillow or two would be nice.
• Stefano (1/5): Crazy hosts ruined our weekend. There's a lot of nice places in Tuscany, just go somewhere else. - The place has a good location in the country side. Unfortunately it is ruined by the insanity and rudeness of the owners. They screamed at us and threatened us for no reasons. Don't let them ruin your vacation, just go somewhere else and stay safe. The most rude hosts we have ever met. We booked several rooms in occasion of a wedding nearby - young working professionals, italian and international guests. Trouble started when 2 friends joined for a glass of wine the first evening - nothing upsetting in any hotel in 2024 - and the host 'got scared' and threatened to call the police. Our friends left, and we even apologised for the misunderstanding. So far so good. When checkout time came, the host thought it was a nice experience to bang with violence at each door 45 min before the actual checkout time. We didn't say anything, we left the luggages at the lobby, we went to breakfast (which usually stops at 9.30😂 but since no one showed up the was still the buffet available) and then we went to chill at the pool for a few minutes before leaving after the host said we had to leave the dining room cause he had to clean. 2 min after, the host came screaming at us that we had to pay, he wasnt 'our slave', that we were scammers and so on. Started shouting and went physically to confront us yelling insults and that we had to 'stay calm or else...'. This happened in front of 10 people by the pool, including girls. His wife joined for the insults and threats at the lobby where, in shock, we went to pay the bill. Nothing worked to speak sense to this man, including the fact that our luggage was still at the lobby with him. This people are just insane and they have no idea of common sense hospitality, let alone doing that as a profession. All the guests, including those we didn't know, were in shock. We left with him telling us to 'fuck off'. Booking should seriously review if this people fit the bare minimum to be on the platform.

• Nikolai (10/5): A Tuscany dream come true 🥰 - This place, typically located on top of a little hill, is just awesome…the beautifully renovated 500-year old Building with fantastic Rooms/Beds and such a nice pool…everything combined makes you feel like you were in a Tuscany Dream 😊. The Breakfast is just sooo delicious…homemade just about everything 😊. Finally…If you’re into Gravel-Bikeriding like we are, you won’t find a better spot to start your loops into Strade Bianche or L‘Eroica 🚴🏼‍♀️🚴🏽‍♂️🥰 Nothing!!!

• 708marlenc (10/5): Absolute gem! - This is an amazing place to stay in Tuscany! Short drive to Siena and Montalcino. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The salt water pool was very nice and the breakfast served was absolutely top notch! Beautiful place and very kind owners. I got my car stuck in the ditch and Luciano came with his truck to pull me out. He also helped air my tires up when one was low.

• Christian (10/5): Fantastisk sted - I Toscanas bakkede landskab findes dette skønne sted i rolige omgivelser. Værterne er de mest venlige og søde mennesker. Værelserne er klassisk indrettede i toscansk stil og hele gården er meget charmerende. Alt fremstår nydeligt og rent. Morgenmaden er i en klasse for sig, med masser af lokale lækkerier og små overraskelser. Vores varmeste anbefalinger - vi kommer igen!

• gigithetwin (10/5): Quaint and perfect! - I absolutely loved this B&B. Luciano & Laura were so kind. The breakfast was amazing. It is a little far from siena, but with a car you could go anywhere. They had great recommendations for tour guide Franco (FrancoFada Tours), it made the stay in this location amazing! The rooms were comfortable and very affordable. I love that they even offered the opportunity to purchase local wine when you got back in the evening.

A beautiful property in the countryside, with lots of communal areas, an outdoor pool and gardens. Such friendly hosts, with Luciano giving us great recommendations for local food and access to Siena, and Laura preparing remarkable savoury and cake options for breakfast. They have put so much effort into preparing the property and helping guests. A calm few days with easy access to Siena - recommend 100%

Took us and collected us several times - obviously for a fee. We didnt have a car but if gojng for more than few days would recommend Very definitely reckmmend this garden of paradise in the Tuscan countryside
