• Eric (10/5): - Silvia es una extraordinaria persona, super clara y honesta, me ayudo mucho la información turistica y sus recomendaciones, se nota mucho su experiencia y amor por Colombia. El hospedaje tiene habitaciones privadas y tambien dormitorios compartidos, pero el ambiente es como estar en casa, ya que tambien tiene areas compartidas para pasar el día de forma cómoda. Si vuelvo por Medellín definitivamente me volvere a quedar por aqui. Lo que tambien me gusto es que esta a un par de cuadras de la zona de fiesta, restaurantes, etc. A un par de cuadras de la estación del metro Estadio, de donde puedes ir a cualquier parte de Medellín. Loved the cats and dogs they had, especially Galleta :) the room was fine - very basic, but had everything important. Warm shower. Free coffee in the morning. No hand soap in the bathroom. The window was only to a little patio, so not much fresh air. I'd have appreciated some hooks - no idea where to put the towel. The drains smelled a bit for a while (not the whole time - not sure why).

Great value for money! We got upgraded to a huge room - had everything we needed. Double bed in the family room was very firm and uncomfortable, but not a big deal given the price and other amenities.

There is a kitchen with everything you need to cook and ample space in the fridges. Nice chill area with couches and hammocks. The room furniture and the bathrooms are really basic. We didn’t really meet other travelers so keep in mind it’s not really your typical social backpacking hostel

• Jrnewmann (7/5): Adequate, but nothing special. - Excellent location on a quiet street near the metro station and estadio, numerous restaurants and bars in walking distance, clean and spacious. The lady who runs the place is nice and helpful. This was the least private "private" room we've ever seen, with a window through to the common area and directly adjacent to the laundry room there were constantly people coming and going sometimes late in the night. The kitchen feels inaccessible from the upper floors. The hot water ran out quickly during my showers. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was very small. Overall this place is a good value but if you want a room with actual privacy I would look elsewhere.

• Carrie (10/5): A Lovely Stay - This was a lovely hostel to stay in for a couple of nights in Medellin! Our flight was delayed and the owner was very kind and let us check in horribly late. The hostel itself was clean and had cute decor. We also loved the breakfast (I think it was my favourite out of all the accommodation we stayed at in South America!). It was in a convenient location and was a very short walk to a subway station that had links to the centre. I would definitely recommend staying here!

• Joshua (9/5): Superb - Location is very good, just a few minutes from a metro stop so easy to get around, and close to lots of restaurants. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a kitchen, although we didn't use it this time, it looked well equipped, and there's free coffee. The restaurant attached does a nice breakfast in the morning. As others mentioned, no soap in the bathrooms, feel it would be easy to put some in. And also the shower in the bathroom flooded the floor with water when someone used it, so can be slippery and a bit dangerous

• Sebastian (5/5): Good for a cheap bed one night. Dont expect more - Its very close to a lot of bars and restaurants in the touristy part of laureles. The hammock in the common area was quite nice. Toilet and shower are not completely separated from bedroom, so you can enjoy a talk while doing your business. All the steam from the shower stays for hours in the room because ventilation (window to inside courtyard) is not working well. No sound or light isolation so you can enjoy listening to other peoples toilet business all day and night long. The one public toilet, you have to go to if you don't want your partner to be live witness to whats going on, doesn't have a seat. The staff is between friendly to openly showing their apparent disgust with tourists. The pictures make it seem more than it is. Wouldnt go back.

I was shown the room by the guy running the cafe, had to ask a woman I saw a lot if she was the owner It’s a strange set up...maybe people long term are in the rooms on the ground floor that are quiet and spacious Lots of smokers also, couldn’t wait to leave

There are bed bugs here I killed a live one on my bed, 8 hours after check out I noticed I had 50 large bites, yes 50 probably more, I will have to report this hotel to the the city authorities

Complimentary coffee in the mornings was very good. This was great value place to stay - it felt more authentic given the building style and location, and it was nice to sit at the balcony looking out onto the street outside. Not a big thing at all, but our room had frosted glass windows towards the downstairs kitchen and another bathroom next door, which meant that light came into our room at night if anyone was using the other spaces. A curtain could resolve this?

• Jessica (1/5): unpleasant owner - Everything we liked was overshadowed by the horrible owner The woman who owns the property is one of the most disagreeable people we have ever met in our travel. Extremely unpleasant to be around, follows you around watching everything you do which does not make for a comfortable stay, also makes you leave after the check out time even when you are waiting for a night bus and it is also the first time anyone has not let us use the kitchen after check out to make food before our bus. I feel very sorry for the boys who work there as they were very nice. Looking at the reviews is seems after many years this persons attitude remains the same towards guests - do not stay here!
• Rose (1/5): The location is good, although quite noisy, since there is no glass to the windows, so they are not insulated. They sa - The location The staff was nice, except the owner. They said they “upgraded” us to a better room than the one we reserved on Booking, but the room was very noisy and not in a good shape. The owner accused us of breaking a door that was already broken, insulted us of so many names, she tried to hit us, and she didn’t want to give us back our luggages which is totally illegal. She also tried to force us to pay more money, which we refused since we didn’t do anything bad. She acted very crazy, we were very shocked and uncomfortable. Since we didn’t have any picture of the room she took advantage of the situation to try to extort more money from us.
