Our cottages can each sleep a maximum of 4 people, i.e. 4 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. Each cottage is equipped with a small kitchen, basic kitchen utensils and cooking ware, a stove-top, microwave, kettle, and refrigerator. The master bedroom is air-conditioned and has a small seating area. The shared bathroom is equipped with a shower and a bathtub, and there are two single beds in the open loft (not private). The master bedroom has a flat-screen TV with standard DSTV channels, and all cottages have free WIFI internet access. The cottages are completely self-catering. Fritz (7/5): Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay with excellent food, but a few issues in one of the rooms. - Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. This and the comfort of the bed were highlights. There is a lovely fireplace in the room but the room became smoky when we used it. Generally a lovely place to stay. The ventilation and heating in room 8. There was only a fireplace to warm the room and this caused smokiness in the room that was unpleasant. The bathroom could be more user friendly. There is a shelf above the basin that makes it difficult to use.

The parking for guests at the accommodation can definitely be improved was a bit tricky and would be great if they added more accommodation that offers more privacy where rooms are further apart but even with that said the accommodation was comfortable and clean.

Geraldine (10/5): Marvelous stay at Manley Wine Estate - From the welcome to the farewell, I enjoyed every moment. Comfortable bed in a spacious room, with a Nespresso coffee machine, teas and rusks. Airconditioner cooled the room perfectly. Good water pressure in the shower. Good lighting in the room and bathroom. Nice heavy curtains to darken the room. Breakfast menu is a light but ample serving for guests (where included in the rate). I had 3 different breakfasts. All start with muesli, yoghurt with chia seeds, and fresh fruit topping. Then choose a one egg benedict breakfast with salmon, or bacon, or mushroom and spinach, with hollandaise and a choice of breads. Or a Manley breakfast of 2 eggs and choice of 3 (bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, chips) along with toast, butter and jam. You get a large glass of orange juice and one Americano. Breakfast is served till 11am, which was excellent for me, as I was on a go slow trip. I loved sitting on the shaded verandah and taking in the view. So relaxing. Taste at Manley serves brrakfast, lunch and dinner (check which days). Excellent mrals, as well as pizzas. Wine tasting and beer tasting available. Excellent location, only 3 minutes from town. The room has small cappuccino mugs only. Please consider adding tea cups.

Esmari (10/5): Exactly what we needed to relax - The views from the rooms and the restaurant is just amazing! We enjoyed the breakfast included in the stay and the staff was so friendly and professional that we spent both nights at the restaurant as well. Lastly, the wine tasting was great (yes, I did exhaust my budget to buy Manley wines). If I really have to fault anything, I will only say that it would be nice if they have marked trails. I went for a jog on Sunday and had to turn around at some point because I saw a "private property" sign.

All in all, it was ok, but for the price, we expected a bit better. The fireplace didn't heat the room. We had so much smoke in the room that was very unpleasant. The room was very cold because the door didn't seal properly. The restaurant was also closed due to it not being part of Manley Estate. Which was a bit inconvenient, but ok.

The food was delicious, especially the pizza specials on Fridays and breakfast. Was my birthday, and they wished me and brought out champagne and chocolate, which really made me feel special. Will definitely recommend and be back again. Maybe a suggestion for undercover parking.

Close to wine cellars and town The wood for the fire place had not been replaced. On a weekend of Springbok rugby, we could not watch it on DSTV. We had to stream on a mobile phone. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Brockett (9/5): Memorable - The location was superb providing a relaxed and comfortable stay amongst the vineyards and mountains. Just like Tuscany in Italy! The staff were most friendly and helpful. The wine maker treated us to a most interesting tour of the facility and gave us a very informative talk on the wine making process. Most appreciated. Not sure, it was all good.

Janine (10/5): Blissful Tranquility with a touch of Markus - Manley is a boutique wine estate where you get to enjoy the peaceful tranquility of a wine farm where you truly feel part of the family. Markus , the owner, is hands on and always takes time to welcome guests and engage with them. The rooms had everything we didn’t even think we needed like a phenomenal natural mozzy spray and a beach bag with sarongs and towels for the pool. My highlight was the fireplace in the room, perfect way to end the day with a bottle of Manley Red. On Sunday they had live music which is far away enough from the rooms to not disturb you but absolutely worth it parking off on the lawn whilst watching the stunning views and enjoying a bottle of Manley Red. You are 3 min from town so close enough yet far enough to feel like you on a distant blissful farm. I can highly recommend staying here. It’s safe , tranquil , perfect location and is run by the owner and his incredible staff. I loved everything except the fact that my stay was too short and that the beautiful Manley range they have on sale did not include the fabulous mosquito spray. Hopefully on my next visit they would have added it to their sale items ( hint hint ) :-)

Previously we took the B & B option, this time around we opted to stay in the self-catering unit. The kitchen could have done with a microwave with an oven function or air fryer ...but that is nit-picking as I would get :)
Cecile (1/5): Horrific - There was nothing to like, as the cottage was definitely not cared for, and it did not matter what the guests required - the condition of the cottage was substandard, and definitely not welcoming. Everything! We were told that the restaurant would be closed on Sunday, but not Monday and Tuesday. No service in the rooms, and the drains were all blocked, so it means that no one checked the facilities before our arrival. The kitchen bin was not emptied and under the stairs it was filthy. The dustpan and broom were "untouchable" as I would not touch anything that was so old, dirty, broken. We could not "cook" as there were inadequate facilities. (unsafe), and there was actually no place for two elderly people to sit comfortably to enjoy a meal. Nowhere to plug in chargers for phones/ipads - did not take my computer out! Tiles in the bathroom around the shower were broken/chipped. We met with the neighbours and their comments matched mine! Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay at Manleys, and would not recommend it to anyone. We also mentioned this at Ceres Zipline and I will be sending them a copy of this report.The dogs were a problem, and we did not venture out of the "cottage" unless we were getting into the car.

Andy (9/5): Relaxing stay in a beautiful setting - Property is in a great location which is quiet and in a beautiful setting. Breakfast is wonderful, but unfortunately there are no evening meals and so we went to the Tulbagh Heritage hotel, which again was wonderful.
Thomas (9/5): a lovely place to relax and enjoy excellent food and wine, served by extremely friendly staff, on a beautiful property, - large and comfortable room and bed great views onto the vineyards and mountains excellent breakfast and dinners, incl. the wines extremely friendly service in restaurant!

Grant (7/5): Good - We enjoyed our short stay here but the rooms and bathroom could do with a bit of an update but apart from the we had a nice time. Breakfast isn't included but we had breakfast in the cafe and it was tasty and popular with outside guests. We sat on the veranda soaking up the beautiful views.

Arnold (8/5): November trip '25 - loved the scenery and that there was a reastaurant on the premises that we could just walk to. The only thing was the pool was full of chemicals. so i couldnt really enjoy it, my daughter on the other hand didnt mind but i didnt let her spend too much time in there

The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The setting is wonderfully peaceful, offering a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle. The room was impeccably clean, reflecting the property’s commitment to quality. One of the highlights was the onsite restaurant – the pizzas were fantastic! Each meal was a treat, and it was so convenient to have such high-quality dining right on the property. Overall, a perfect blend of relaxation, comfort, and great food. N/A

The coffee machine super appreciated. and the fire place made this winter weekend experience very enjoyable and kept us warm. The restaurant menu, staff, personal attention and the food is super. The fact that the property has such high standard restaurant on the premises made is amazing. Highly recommended Add value: in winter to have bathroom gowns available in the room please. Add value: the basin only had the hand lotion dispenser but no soap to wash hands since the shampoo / conditioner and the body wash containers were in the shower thus missed soap at basin (I always bring small soap with and used that at the basin to wash hands). Thank you to Markus and his teams on site. It was great.

Kay (9/5): Excellant stay with the most gorgeous breakfast - The fireplace in the room although even in May we did not need to use it. The food and service were excellent. Shower a bit awkward and bathroom could be updated perhaps.

Aircon in room did not work although they told us about that when I did my booking and the wine opener in the room was broken.
