Guest Reviews
- Fry (9/5): Best breakfast in town! - Breakfast was first class Room was a bit small but very well equipped. A little bit out of town.
- Bilal (10/5): -
- Debby1986 (10/5): Exceptional - will be back. - The hosta were so accomodating, from making last minute changes to our booking to organising early morning breakfast. They were so friendly - even spared a sausage for our dog!
- Lauren (10/5): - The host were so lovely. Breakfast was really good and there were loads of options to take snacks with you, perfect for walks! Beds were really comfy. Parking could be a little tricky if the roads busy
- Sintija (10/5): -
- Dan (10/5): Great stay - We stayed for 5 nights at the start of May. It is a lovely place with kind host and brilliant breakfast. The accommodation is well located to the town with a 20min walk along the cycle path. Thanks for an amazing stay!
- Josh (10/5): Comfortable, welcoming, fantastic - Location is perfect, short walk away from Keswick centre
Room was very clean, comfy has everything you need for you stay including tea coffee and snacks!
Breakfast was perfect! So many options! And Lorna had an extra sausage cooked every morning for our dog! Nothing not to like
- Stanley (9/5): Nice Stay - Great Host - The host had really gone the extra mile. Loads of coffee making facilities and milk in the room, easy to park and a lively breakfast each day. The host also provides early checkin compared to most b&b's we've stayed in the area at. Lovely friendly lady. The location isn't in the centre with a 15 minute walk needed into Keswick. It wasn't a big deal for us but this would be the only deduction I'd make.
- Tarrou (10/5): Perfect B&B for our first trip to the Lake District with an amazing breakfast! - This was the perfect place to book for our first trip to the Lake District. Great location and easy to get anywhere we wanted to go on day trips. Lorna, the host, was really lovely and super accommodating. The full English breakfast each morning was 10/10. Would 100% book here again if I were to stay in Keswick. Nothing, we loved it all.
- Craig (10/5): Lovely stay in Keswick. - Lorna was a fantastic, friendly host and couldn't have been more helpful. The property is in a convenient location, a short 2 minute drive to the stone circle or an easy walk along a footpath in to the town centre of Keswick. The breakfasts were amazing with a great selection on offer. Would definitely recommend.
- Karen (8/5): A nice chilled break. - The Hostess, Lorna was lovely, helpful, put us at ease. Breakfast & the nice walk in to Keswick.
- Briege (10/5): Lovely experience! - Our stay here was absolutely lovely. Lorna couldn’t have been a better host! The room was very comfy, clean and tidy. The location is perfect for Keswick. Lorna was a wonderful host. Would highly recommend staying here.
- Jackie (10/5): We would recommend this B& B - Great location, nice walk into town. Breakfast was great. Parking close by, host was very friendly! Bathroom light was a little dim, but not a big deal.
- Helen (9/5): Great place to stay in Keswick! - Lovely property, well located and lots of little extras to make you feel at home. Fabulous breakfast and Lorna is an amazing host. Dog friendly and Kia even got her own breakfast sausage!
Would definitely revisit. Nothing
- Louisa (8/5): Lovely host, very friendly and fantastic breakfast. Very accomodating with preparing breakfast to take away when we want -
- Joanna (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): First rate. Lorna is a great host. - V friendly welcome and good chat all round.
Very wide selection of breakfast options especially the black pudding. The place could do with a lick of paint.

- Sonia (10/5): -
- Jayne (10/5): Amazing find - Lorna the host was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing with an abundance of choices. A basket of fruit and snack bars to help yourselves to was a super little touch. The weather for our weekend was the only downside.
- Daniel (9/5): - Lorna was a very attentive host. She made us feel very welcome.
- Wyn (10/5): Warm and Welcoming - Clean and very accommodating with added generosity .lorna was a fantastic host very welcoming and very helpful. Lorna went up and beyond for our needs and certainly made us feel welcomed. Highly recommended B&B with an added kindness from the heart. Nothing
- Ananya (10/5): - The host is amazing and her property too
Amazing cosy property at a beautiful location
- Callum (10/5): Really enjoyable stay…We will be back! - Lorna is such a welcoming host. Was greeted on arrival and given some very useful tips of the area.
The breakfast choices are unbelievable, recommend the full English. Was probably the best I have had…and I have had a few! However there was loads of cold and warm options catering to every allergy if needed.
The dog even was excited each morning to have a sausage!
The room was also filled with a range of different teas and coffees, hot chocolates and marshmallows!
I also liked the fact the property was a 10minute stroll from Keswick, there is a convenient repurposed train track that walks you into Keswick away from the busy road which was great as we had the dog, also allowed us to walk off the breakfast each morning before starting by the day! Nothing to dislike!
- Jason (8/5): Lorna was terrific and made our stay that little bit more enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and it made a huge dif - Good location, room was clean and very comfortable. A few small repairs that will need attention but otherwise a lovely little house.
- Ethan (9/5): -
- smith (10/5): - Everything
- christine (10/5): -
- Gareth (10/5): - Lorna was absolutely amazing couldnt do enough for you when you was there even had a sausage waiting for the dog at breakfast time! And her breakfast were fabulous too tea on tap and extra toast if you wanted it, definitely set you up for the day.
- Grant (10/5): - Lorna is a fabulous host, all the amenities were so well thought of, even to the smallest detail. Breakfast was great, so much choice, rooms clean and comfortable.
- Sanket Walimbe (9/5): Peaceful Stay & Great Hosting - Lorna was a fantastic host who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, spacious, and featured a beautiful forest view. Even though the property is right on the main road, the room was surprisingly quiet. The beds were incredibly comfy and the cleanliness was, without a doubt, spot on! Nothing to mention.
- Turner (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back! - Lorna was a most hospitable and helpful host.
The breakfast selection was exceptional and catered for a wide variety of dietary needs.
Walker, families and dogs/cats are welcome! There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The B&B is a little out of town but the town centre is a very pleasant 10-15 minute walk along the old railway line. No on-site parking but ample free, on-street parking is available very nearby.
- Philip (10/5): Perfect little b&b - Everything spot on, tip use the bus from over the road Nothing
- Kelly (10/5): -
- Saharsh (10/5): -
- Nicola (10/5): -
- Lee and Marie (8/5): - The breakfast was lovely. A little bit of out the centre, but we don't mind walking, so ok for us
- Bolton (10/5): We can wait to come back!! - The hospitality & breakfast were outstanding. The lovely snack basket was a great touch, alongside a big selection of tea / coffee etc in our room & we felt so welcomed. Our room was comfy & cosy after a long day of walking & we really enjoyed our stay. The bathroom could do with a little updating, but it was clean with fluffy towels & a hot shower, so perfect for our needs.
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect stay. Lovely property, exceptional host and 10/10 breakfast - Its location, cosy bedrooms and everything we needed! Host was amazing!! Lorna was so welcoming and had thought about everything. N/A
- William (10/5): -
- Avril (10/5): -
- Margaret-Ann (10/5): TOP HOSTS - Owners were very welcoming and friendly 😊 Breakfast was so good and accommodated us after Parkrun.

- Mckinley (9/5): Very nice - The host was excellent.... Nothing
- Georgina (9/5): Clean and super friendly hosts!! Very welcoming and felt a home - Lovely stay it’s like a home from home!
- James (10/5): Fantastic hosts x - Thought the owners Lorna and Simon were fantastic very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was amazing, quality ingredients and cooked to perfection 👌🏼
Location was good just a short walk into the town. Nothing
- Katie (10/5): -
- Tracey (10/5): -
- Joanna (10/5): Fantastic value for the money - Great location of the hotel with a very short vicinity to the town. The hotel is dog friendly which is great and there is a small forest across the hotel to take the dog for a quick wee. The host, Lorna, goes above and beyond to make you comfortable and she makes an amazing breakfast which was included in the price. The room was specious and we could comfortably sleep in there with our 4 year old daughter and the dog. Lorna was also really helpful with guidance of the best places to go for food or to visit. Overall great value for the money paid. Everything was great
- karl (10/5): - Warm friendly atmosphere and very welcoming host .couldn't fault the place. Fantastic breakfast 10/10
- Bernadette (10/5): - Breakfast was lovely and the host was really friendly and accommodating going the extra mile for our trip. Our poodle also loved the sausages at breakfast.
- Martin (9/5): - Location food excellent host great Room not warm enough
- Jamieson (9/5): Homely vibes, fantastic breakfast and spotlessly clean - It was very clean and had a come comfort vibe. The breakfasts were fantastic and there were little touches to the room that I really appreciated like makeup remover wipes and little scissors to help with the coffee and hot chocolate sachets as they can often be fiddly. I drink oat milk out of preference that there were plenty of little sachets in our room which was a thoughtful touch and also at breakfast the continental
Side was fantastic! So many choices of spreads, jams, nut butters and loads of cereals, granola, weetabix, fresh juice, yogurts and she had a huge hamper filled with fresh fruit and cereal bars which guests were welcome to take whenever. The only thing I found just a little frustrating was the walk into Keswick. It didn’t bother me at all in the day or on our way out to the meals in the evening but when it’s 10pm at night and you want to get to bed I wish it wasn’t a 25 min walk back. However we had no problem whatsoever getting a taxi back in the evening each night and it was only £4 one night and £5 the other so if you don’t want a walk late on taxi services are great.
- Charmaine (7/5): Mother and son weekend away - The host Lorna was absolutely wonderful. She made our stay warm and welcoming. Even catered for my special dietary needs. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The room was clean and tidy, and most importantly, it was well stocked up with everything one needs. She also included a 24/7 fruit and snack corner ! Must mention we were greeted by her gorgeous friendly fluffy black cat named Salem the second day. The B&B was easily accessible to the local sites, plenty to see, restaurants, and cafes to go to.. My son and I enjoyed our weekend away. The place definitely needs an update. The ensuite shower is quite small. The room space wasn't utilised properly and would look bigger if the sattee was removed and replaced with two small chairs and a small table instead blocking the bay window to enjoy the view outside. Does one need a huge wardrobe and dressing table?! Just need a small unit to hang a few clothing and maybe a long mirror.
Didn't like it when the host went into the room in our absence to replace or top up things or clean the bins.. I guess it was meant to be a good intention. I did not appreciate it respecting ones privacy, which is important unless when asked too. Also, there's some black mould on around the window sill.
No parking is available at the property itself, but the use of public parking, which was away from the property but accessible, and can get crowded although we were lucky enough to get parking space further uphill.
Too noisy with traffic as the property is on the main road. But it was quite later in the night and got busy later on in the morning.
- Barry (10/5): Perfect quite place - Warm clean and friendly Nothing
- Tim (7/5): - Very pleasant host Lorna
Exceptional breakfast cooked perfectly and very high quality ingredients.
Well stocked complimentary tray in room everything catered for .
All extras in ensuite were again catered for We were in quite a small room
- Karen (10/5): Fantastic comfortable stay, lovely host and wonderful breakfast - Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful little B&B. So peaceful, we never heard anyone else the whole weekend. You absolutely won’t be disappointed. We’ve just had the most relaxing stay.
Lorna is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to ensure you’re comfortable and very well fed with the best breakfast we’ve ever had. The choice on offer is fantastic and she caters for all needs. Stan our Bedlington was welcomed every morning with a sausage. And I forgot to say thank you for the treat for him at our door.
Great location for Keswick centre and walking distance to plenty of pubs and bars.
Thank you for the most wonderful stay and we already can’t wait to return
- Ed (10/5): Will come again - Very comfortable and relaxing
- Joanna (8/5): - Lovely welcome from Lorna. Amazing breakfast and lots of lovely touches to make you feel at home.
- Cristina (9/5): We had a lovely stay, enjoying the charm of Keswick and its stunning surroundings, perfect for relaxing and exploring. - Lovely property with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Lorna went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her delicious breakfasts were generous and varied. The 24/7 snack and fruit corner was a hit with our 7-year-old. Great location, just a short walk to the town centre and other touristic attractions in Keswick (Derwentwater, Castlerigg Stone Circle, Catbell, etc). We had to leave a day early due to our child feeling unwell, and Lorna kindly offered a refund - completely unexpected and much appreciated.
- Julia (8/5): - Very clean, lots of products in the room, great breakfast.
- James (10/5): - We were warmly greeted when we arrived and assured availability for any future questions. Breakfast was phenomenal and made to order. Room was clean and good sized. Can't say enough good things about our stay.
- Natalia (10/5): Excellent - Everything as great ! Nothing
- jackie (10/5): Gem of a B&B - Lovely friendly welcome, lots of lovely touches in the room variety of hot drinks, biscuits
Also Lorna the owner is a lovely lady who goes out of her way to make your stay nice. Got my husband a lovely cupcake for his Birthday 🎂
Would definitely stay again Our older dog didn't like climbing all the stairs due to us being on the 2nd floor
- Kaho (10/5): Lovely B&B for your perfect stay - Lorna is a lovely lady who took care of us for 3 nights. At breakfast, there are not only a range of cooked breakfast options, but also plenty of fruits/ bars for snacks during the day. She kindly did my washing twice during our stay as I was hiking everyday. It was very generous of her, and we enjoyed our stay here as much as the views from the peaks.
- Debbie (9/5): -
- Rebecca (9/5): Great stay, would return! - Lorna is the most welcoming, kind host. The breakfast was lovely and the selection of picky bits was the best I've seen (Nakd bars, Avocado, Yakult and mini Boirsin!) and she even encouraged us to take any little snacks for our walk! The room was very traditional and the beds super comfy. If you're after clinically clean and super modern this isn't the place for you but if you want a warm welcome, a 15 minute walk into central Keswick with a really nice host then you'll love it here. It is a 10-15 minute walk into Keswick, so not super central.
- Karen (10/5): - Lorna was an excellent host. The dogs were made very welcome, and even got a sausage for breakfast. Our breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and large portions. A 20 minute walk into town along the old railway line. Would recommend this guesthouse.
- Skidmore (9/5): - Very comfortable excellent breakfast
Warm welcome for my son and grandson
- Scott (10/5): -
- martine (8/5): - De gastvrouw was super! Het ontbijt kon niet beter! De kamer en vooral de badkamer waren klein!
Het bed was nogal kort.
- Alice (9/5): - Warm welcome, great breakfast, comfy beds. Lots of little details considered to make guests stay. Can walk into keswick along disused railway line path, so traffic free.
- Oliver (9/5): Nice friendly B&B - Good location and really friendly staff Would have been nice to have parking but road opposite had spaces
- Callum (10/5): - Lorna was so incredibly accommodating and kind.
She also made one of the best vegan breakfasts I've ever had and even went out of her way to get additional vegan snacks and treats when we mentioned it in the optional booking information (when she contacted me within about 15 minutes of booking).
The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was modern with a good shower.
Very close to town, either by the road or scenic railway path.
- Milja (10/5): -
- Susanna (10/5): - Wonderful welcome from Lorna. She waited up for our late arrival and even washed our disgusting walking clothes. An absolute angel.
- Tim (10/5): -
- Bruce (10/5): - It would be difficult to outdo Lorna for friendliness, helpfulness, and always being there . Good advice, nice view from the room, and great breakfasts.
- Heaton (8/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): Perfect! - The hospitality from Lorna was exceptionally.
- Partho (10/5): - A variety of options Nothing to point out
- Samuel (10/5): -
- Jones (8/5): - Breakfast Bed
- Monia (7/5): Lovely host and a nice, clean room - Lorna was exceptionally kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was amazing. Unfortunately there's no parking
- Anthony (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at Brookfields B&B, lots to do in Keswick town which is only a 20 minute walk along town he - We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay, the room was very clean and had lovely view of Latrigg. Breakfast was exceptional and nothing was too much for our lovely host Lorna. The variety options for breakfast were 5 star. Only a 10 minute walk to Castlerigg Stone Circle and other beautiful walks in the surrounding area. N/A
- James (10/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): Lovely stay in a sweet B&B - Loved the house and our room! So cozy! And the breakfast was amazing! We loved everything!
- yiwei (10/5): Love it. Strongly recommend. - The owner, Lorna, is the best!! Her hospitality made the entire trip to Lake District an amazing experience.
- Donna (10/5): - Lorna was a very good host very welcoming Nothing
- sarah (10/5): Mini honeymoon. Loved every minute. Room was comfy, breakfast was great. A nice 3 days. - The host Lorna, was lovely, waited outside, so we knew when we were there. Even bought us a bottle and choccies, when we told her we'd got married, nothing was too much trouble, very knowledgeable when it came to us exploring the area, she was really nice and helpful, a perfect host. The location was ideal for bus service, a walk to the attractions and a leisurely walk into town along a nice wooded footpath. The breakfast was filling, hot and even tweaked to our liking. The view from our window was good too. Would definitely recommend this b and b Nothing, had a great time, we did so much in and around Keswick.
- Michael (9/5): Cute B&B great host. - Very nice and accommodating host. Good breakfast. Beds are comfy. Cute decor. Room was arrayed a little awkwardly - there was a love seat that blocked access to the bay window which if replaced with a smaller chair would open up the room a lot more.
- Carmen (8/5): - Loved the breakfast!!! So many options =D
- Debbie (10/5): Lorna was born to be a landlady. From the warm welcome to setting out a very early breakfast so we could get back to Dev - Lorna, location, little extras, lovely touches.
- Stephen (8/5): Lorna’s lovely go and meet her. - The friendly hospitality, quality and choice of breakfast was very much appreciated. En-suite small but still had everything you needed.
- Kostya (8/5): -
- Shiraz (10/5): -
- Brian (9/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): Home away from home… - A beautiful quaint little B&B. The owner (Lorna) has clearly put herself in the shoes of a guest and thought of absolutely everything. The little touches meant so much. Beautiful breakfast and so many choices. Lorna is an exemplar of her profession and treats her guests like family. We felt so looked after and will genuinely miss her but very much hope to stay again in the future. Thank you for making our stay so special Lorna!
- Katy (10/5): Very nice B&B with an excellent host - The host Lorna is wonderful and makes you feel very welcome. The bed was big and comfy and we all slept well. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options including gluten-free. The location is a short walk from the town centre with free parking on the road opposite. Nothing
- Sally (9/5): Friendly B&B in a beautiful part of the country - We spent a very comfortable night in Brookfield B and B and were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was very tasty too.
