Guest Reviews
- Vickey (5/5): Passable - Beautiful location! The cabin was pretty and comfortable. . The company that owned the cabin could have been better. We waited 2 days for tv to be fixed and finally found pool passes that were above the refrigerator in the cabinet. Had to put in a work order ticket to get more, which we never got
- Daniella (1/5): Will not rent from Jackson Mountain Homes again. - Location of cabin was good, cabin was clean Hot Tub didn't work from day 1. Called the day we got here they said they would send someone but didn’t . Called the next morning and they said they would send someone and they didn’t. Called that afternoon and same thing. Sent an email and called Tuesday morning and they finally came. Breaker was tripped. Guy reset it and left. Repair guy was only there for 15 minutes. Tried to use it that afternoon and it tripped the breaker again. We reset the breaker and it did it again. Concerned there might be an electrical issue with the cabin we decided it was safer to not keep resetting it since it kept tripping the breaker. Woke up Friday morning to the smell of sewage downstairs. Exposed sewage pipe was pouring sewage water right outside the downstairs bedroom window. Called maintenance. Due to slow response time from customer service on all of the previous issues we had, the downstairs party decided to leave a day early because of all the problems. Upstairs living room tv would cut off as soon as you turned it on. Called about it Monday, Tuesday they sent a guy and he confirmed the tv was bad but said they couldn’t get one until Thursday. Customer service called Thursday at 3pm and asked if we still wanted them to replace the tv and we said yes. They came Thursday night and put another tv in. We noticed the WiFi was out Thursday night and didn’t work the rest of the trip. Jackson Mountain Homes seemed very unconcerned about the issues and the effect it had on our family Christmas trip. We requested a partial refund but what they offered was miniscule in comparison to what we paid. We have vacationed in the mountains for Christmas for the past decade and have never had problems like this.
- Carla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lasandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Crystal (3/5): Perfect for just a couple not a family - The view It was dirty . They lie about the pool been open got there and it was closed. And i ask a bunch about pool the light at hot tub was out and the jacuzzi never got hot.
- Linda (7/5): Okay - Nice and festive for Christmas Dirty we had to clean up when we got there the alarm went off took forever to get it off and the hill was really steep the drive way
- Rolf (7/5): I will never Rent a property under this Management - Nice house The property Management!!!!
- Torres (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and equipped with all appliances like my own home
- Cierra (1/5): Will never rent this property again - Wasn’t no breakfast Too many things to list but for starters the master bed light switch was messed up and a screw sticking up out of transition strip in master bed cut my foot and the hot tube was 105 degrees after we put it to correct temp wasn’t able to use it the whole 5 day stay
- Newton (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - The location was close to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. The downstairs was damp, with a musty smell. Not pleasant to sleep downstairs with the dampness. The dryer squeals terribly, very annoying to wash and dry clothes after being gone from the cabin all day and trying to get laundry done in the evening for the next day.
- Jason (5/5): Passable - The house and location No tv the whole stay also no refund. They said they would pay back 200 but never seen it.
- Cotto (8/5): Very good -
- Beth (8/5): Beautiful location, but it needs a little updateing - The kitchen was the best. All in all if we had the opportunity to return we would. The bathroom need to have some updating. Toilets did not flush properly. The garbage lid did not shout tight and bears got into it. Some of the desk furniture was broken, tile in the bathroom were broken.
- Whitney (10/5): Loved but needed work - The location of the cabin it was off to its self. How the radio barely worked it wasn't fully cleaned and couldn't get the cable to work on the TV's.
- Michael (1/5): Booking.com Nightmare! What a horror! - Beds have bedbugs, Booking.com has an official letter from our dermatologist. Beware! PLEASE READ!
The cabin is run down, and the top bed of the first floor is infested with bedbugs. After four nights, my mother started developing an itch. We thought it was an allergy. When we got back to Miami, Florida. She visited her primary care physician and she was diagnosed with bedbugs infestation. She went to the ER and also a dermatologist which confirmed the diagnosis. Booking.com has a copy of this letter for proof. For anyone staying at Jackson rentals! Please think twice or wash everything with Clorox before sleeping in their beds. It's horrible. When we noticed the night before of the rash, we took off the sheets and washed them, and the bottom part of the bed sheets was all stained. This tells me they were never changed. It is a Booking.com nightmare to stay in a cabin with beautiful views, yet careless caretakers. This cabin has let get disgusting with infestations. After all the nights, I stayed there. I am appalled that I came to realize all of this near our departure. No wonder when you check out they send you an email specifically telling you not to remove the bedsheets. It makes perfect sense now. That way they keep recycling them! What a horror! I posted pictures, everyone will be horrified. Best of all, not even a call to if everything is ok. The worst company ever! They do not care about anyone's well-being, only themselves and making money.
Scincerly,
Michael F.
Miami, Florida.
- Murray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brittany (10/5): Exceptional - Very pretty, relaxing and homey. Very steep mountain but that made it an adventure . One of the best vacations with my husband and kids so far. I definitely recommend this cabin.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Very Cozy and had everything we needed.
- Roucely (10/5): Exceptional - great location and an awesome front porch. loved the 2 floors the main room’s hot tub wasn’t working properly other than that everything was great.
- Scott (7/5): Good - Great location. It was clean for a rental unit. The early check out.
- Anthony (4/5): it’s always good to get away and go to Gatlinburg - location the AC was very cold downstairs but upstairs it remained very warm and muggy. There probably should be 2 AC units one to control the upstairs and one downstairs. Mold on the bathroom and shower area.
- Waggamon (7/5): Good -
- Brianna (4/5): wouldn’t recommend - The location was good and close by to all the attractions It was still dirty. There were dog hairs everywhere. There was a huge water leak in the bottom level and it took them hours to come see it but the floor was so wet you couldn’t walk into the bedroom without getting your feet soaked. All the beds were highly uncomfortable to sleep in.
- Anonymous (10/5): Great vacation - Really nice place. highly recommend this place beds were very comfortable and it felt like home. hot tub was great. The carpet was wet in the lower floor.
- John (1/5): At this point would not recommend n guest service not good - Beautiful view
Lots of bears at the cabin The cabin was in disrepair
The code for the door didn’t work upon arrival
The outside grounds were littered and filthy when we arrived
The cabin also was filthy and the floors sticky
Requested a refund and was told only if I got a place somewhere else that they’d put in a request but wouldn’t know if it would be accepted or denied
Nowhere else to go as the jeep convention took all available places
Since we stayed they offered $50 back which we still haven’t seen
The beds were like sleeping on plywood with a cover on them
Pillows sank fast and offered no support
- Tamara (7/5): Overall good stay. Good value. Kids enjoyed. - The cabin was super spacious and the porch was extremely relaxing. The kitchen accommodations were great for cooking and preparing family meals. The maintenance staff and customer service was superb. The beds were not comfortable. Invest in better mattresses to provide guests quality rest. This would be a game changer for Saddle Ridge. Also, the wood walls and blinds need deep cleaning. There is thick dust on wooded wall areas in master bedroom, and window/blinds/seals, specifically behind bedroom door and above bed and near shower areas. I cleaned as much as I could on windows and blinds so I would not be breathing in so much dust but this cabin needs a professional deep wood clean and disinfection. Standard clean was fine, but the wood walls and windows need sanitized wiping from ceiling to floor, all over the cabin. And cobwebs from downstairs rocking chair corners.
