The in-room decorations and birthday cake made the celebration feel extra special, and the birthday song performance on stage was a memorable moment for him and for us as a family. Everything was well arranged, and the experience felt warm, thoughtful, and enjoyable throughout our stay. A special thank you to Danny, Aikal, Hazim, and Aiman for their excellent service, effort, and attention to detail. They truly helped make our son’s birthday celebration a memorable one. We really appreciated the hospitality and would be happy to stay here again.

Thank you cr - Hotel staff were prompt in their replies and they did their best to accommodate my few requests. We got an upgrade to suite which was pleasantly surprising for us. The access to lounge felt exclusive and the tea breaks had wide choice of light bites. The night live band was awesome too. Morning buffet choices can be better, like including soy milk for the cereal instead of only full cream milk. Also because a part of the property is being renovated, there were not many activities for now.

• NaNaiY1 (10/5): 3D2N Staycation - Staff are very friendly, facilities are new. Room is clean. Manager Shafiqah told us the guitar and ukulele can be lended to us, and there is music we can hear in the pool water, and she helped us when we report our lost purse. There is only one thing, our room is not very sound proof as we can hear noises from the corridor, but this is a minor issue compared to the overall experience.

The hotel is nice, clean, and well-maintained, with a fun and vibrant music-themed atmosphere throughout. One of the highlights is definitely the water play area, it’s great for kids and makes the hotel very family-friendly. However, getting there can be a bit of a hassle. The hotel is quite far in, and the drive feels long, especially since the Desaru roads are not in the best condition. The buffet was decent, but the variety felt quite limited, especially considering the price. Overall, I do feel that the hotel is slightly overpriced for what it offers. Service was friendly and staff were helpful, which added positively to the experience. Overall, a good stay, especially for families with kids, but the location, road conditions, and pricing are things to consider before booking.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight — loved that they even had tater tots😋 There was a good variety of food options each day, which made it enjoyable throughout the stay. One small suggestion would be to include ice cream in the dessert selection in the future. Other than that, everything was great and I would definitely return for another stay😊 For Muslim guests staying here, do remember to double-check your room’s Qibla direction before performing your prayers. Our room (336) appeared to be facing a different direction. We provided feedback to the staff, but they mentioned it was correct, even though our compass app showed otherwise. This was a slight downside to our stay.

When checked in on first day - they were slow in checking in. Gave us key card and that was it, no explanation of what time is breakfast, where are the pools/restaurants or happenings in around the hotel or events in the hotel. Poorly communicated. Breakfast was alright..could be better. Hopefully have more variety for kids - hash browns, mushrooms, kuey teow etc - bit of different mix cuisines will be nice..pancake was bit dry. Wish we could buy kids guitar plates, mugs used in hard rock to take back as souvenir. Kids clubs should not be charged just to go in and should be part of the hotel. At least 2 year old with parents accompanied with board games, painting, movie, video games. The kids clubs is not equipped to entertain even 7 year old. More kids activities in kids club that can be charged separately. Great splash pool, and pool. There is a badminton area but no 🏸 racquet to use and play. Huge chess which we love. Gym was good. Amenities are up to date, rooms are great as well. Adventure park - note the days that are closed. Definitely need upgrade with the painting on the floor coming off. More hard rock culture will be nice.

• Skye (7/5): - The room is nice and spacious, the check-in process is a bonus, we were arranged on the 6th floor of the royalty club to do the check-in and skipped the queue. However, this hasn't been mentioned before our arrival; it would be very helpful to know what benefits we have before we get there. The hotel's booking message is not very responsive, plus the restaurant service is really slow for some reason. Anything not on the buffet has a minimum 45-minute wait after ordering.

• Durgadevi (5/5): It was a memorable and enjoyable stay. Will definitely stay here again despite the minor issues. - The property was very accessible to the adventure park. They also had a wide spread for breakfast. Their staff were friendly. The aircon in our room wasn’t cold. We put the temperature at 23 degrees but it was still warm. Had to switch in the fan. This happened on the last 2 nights. We were also informed that we had a free upgrade to the Royalty Lounge and could enjoy their cocktails. When we visited the lounge, we were told that our room number wasn’t registered. Therefore couldn’t enjoy their cocktails benefits.
• neolgw91 (6/5): Stay Was good, but the services were far behind the standard - Room was considered spacious for 4 pax. Cleanliness was good. Love their water park with only walking distance. Downsides - our room was almost towards the end, need to walk around 3-5min in order to reach lobby or hotel facilities. Might be tedious for parent with young kids - the service of the live band bar was terrible. I won’t say it was full house but obviously lack of manpower. We have been “left out” once served with seats, with no QR CODE to scan menu. We have to make our way to reception to get the menu. What most worst is that we have to wait for 30min for our 3 cups of drinks to be served (whisky sour, Asian fuzz and apple juice). It definitely ruined our night as we thought to relax and have a drink at in-house bar, but truly disappointing us. Morning breakfast truly like “pasar”. We were there around 8.30am. Couldn’t enjoy the peaceful breakfast. Overall stay was nice but the service wasn’t there.
• yko2026 (10/5): Holiday at the Desaru Coast Hard Rock Hotel - The most positive experience we had would be at the cosy Rock Royalty Lounge . The staff, ADDA, KANI and IM have served us with excellence service , making us felt welcome and answering to our queries especially where this was our first trip to Desaru Coast Hard Rock. In fact, we spent a significant amount of time at the Rock Royalty Lounge. We enjoyed the breakfast and tea break time there. Kani in particular, he was very friendly and knowledgeable always willing to share with us on the cocktail list. The free shuttle service has provided a very convenient way between Desaru Ferry terminal to Hard Rock Hotel. In addition, the baggy transfer between the hotels has added to our comfort and convenient especially under the hot weather. The staff, Rosli, at the conceige is friendly and approachable. Music being played in most areas including when swimming in the pool could be heard has amaized me. Room is clean and reasonably well maintained. However it's could be better to have a hangar rack placed at the Balcony like what The Westin did to allow the guests to dry they wet swim wears. The staff at the Sessions had impressed us with their professionalism, arranging a cosy corner for us to host our 17 pax guests for dinner on 3 Apr 2026. However, I would suggest that there is sports activities like table tennis, archery...shop selling some local products of Desaru. The checking in process could be more clearer in the website like informing the guest exactly level 6 for special check in and not having to stand in the line and waited long for the check-in. Some staff could have station at the disembarking area to welcome guests and help with the luggages like what the Westin did. The staff at the Westin greet us warmly even thought we alighted from the Hard Rock Hotel Baggy, that's a very positive experience any guests would prefer when touching down to a destination or hotel especially. Some resort hotels offer cold drinks to welcome their guest.

• Connector35787676118 (10/5): Thank you HRDC team for a truly memorable stay. - The entire crew at Hard Rock were very helpful, mindful, alert at all times and accommodating. I would like especially acknowledge Ms Irene Loong for giving my wife and I an above and beyond hospitality and care from the booking to arrival and departure. She regularly checked on us if everything was alright and that if we needed any assistance to just call on her. I must say that she is a valuable asset to HRDC. The other staffs who also went the extra miles were Kani and Fariz from the VIP Lounge. Very observant and knew what we needed even before we could mention. Helpful, friendly and informative. Also Adda and Dayah. Mr Zul at the Rock Shop was so helpful and very patient with us as we tried out many apparels. Thank you HRDC team for a truly memorable stay. I don't normally write such a long review but the stay here made an impact and we will start saving for our next visit.

• Safari48812292683 (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had a wonderful stay at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast and were truly impressed by the level of service throughout our visit. A special mention goes to a petite front desk lady whose name started with “S” (so sorry I didn’t catch her full name). She was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we arrived. Her genuine hospitality really stood out — she took the time to understand our preferences, kindly upgraded our room, and thoughtfully checked whether we would prefer a quieter room or didn’t mind being closer to the live music area. During checkout, she also offered to have the buggy send us to the carpark as the weather was hot. It’s these little personal touches that made our stay extra memorable. The service felt sincere rather than transactional, and it made us feel very well taken care of. Thank you for such a lovely experience — we will definitely be back!
• Abdul (1/5): I found this stay to be particularly poor value for money. - Great staff & professional. Thank you to Chef Adi. I am very disappointed with my overall experience, as several aspects did not meet the expected standards of a 5-star resort. The in-room entertainment was outdated. The television was an older Samsung model with a very limited selection of movies and audio playlists. The Bluetooth connectivity was unstable, especially when used from the bed, requiring me to sit close to the TV. The speaker system also felt very outdated, with poor sound quality. Room comfort was also below expectations. The pillows had an unpleasant odor, and the absence of a Nespresso machine was surprising for a hotel of this category. Additionally, the hot shower took a very long time to warm up and was never sufficiently hot. The dining experience was particularly disappointing. Breakfast did not meet 5-star standards. For dinner, my family had to wait approximately two hours for our food despite the dining area not being particularly crowded. We placed our order at 9:30 PM and only received our food after 11:00 PM, following a follow-up with the kitchen. This level of delay is unacceptable, and unfortunately, the food arrived cold and of poor quality. The theme park facilities appeared worn out, with old paint and equipment that looked poorly maintained. Similarly, the bicycles provided were old and did not reflect the premium branding of the resort. Overall, I feel that the experience did not justify the price paid. Having traveled to countries such as Japan, Australia, Thailand, and Norway, I found this stay to be particularly poor value for money.

Night life is quiet here , you can enjoy live band in hard rock. Breakfast need more variant
• karenfN6918RT (8/5): Exceptional Service Made the Stay Special, but Food Fell Short - We stayed at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast for a special weekend to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday, and overall it was a memorable experience—thanks largely to the incredible staff. Upon arrival, I asked the staff at check in, Fatin and Vanessa, if they could help set up a few decorations to surprise my son. I had brought along a birthday sign, fairy lights, and a “13” lightbox, and they kindly coordinated with the housekeeping team, Azwin and Suhana, to arrange everything in the room. The result was absolutely perfect. My son was genuinely surprised and so happy—not just with the decorations, but also with the thoughtful slice of cake that was provided. It really made the moment special. Service throughout our stay was consistently excellent—friendly, helpful, and attentive. Unfortunately, the food did not quite live up to the same standard. At the pool restaurant, I was served one of the worst beef burgers I’ve ever had. The meat was very rare and lacked flavor, and I ended up drowning it in ketchup just to finish it. To make matters worse, it arrived just before Earth Hour, so I could barely see what I was eating once the lights went out. On a more positive note, my son’s spaghetti bolognese was a hit—served quickly and well before the lights dimmed. Breakfast was also fairly average, with coffee that didn’t impress. All in all, I would absolutely return for the outstanding service and thoughtful staff, but I’d likely opt to order food from outside rather than dine at the hotel.

A lot of activities for me & my kids to enjoy. The restaurant by the pool served us an overcooked chicken chop burger. My son cannot eat the burger, very hard to chew. Bit disappointed. Need to improve the cooking because the food is quite pricey.

I do not understand the breakfast buffet layout. 2 trays of beef sausages, is there a need? Breakfast spread can't really compare with the one across the road. Hope there is some improvement along the way

Screaming kids all over the place due to the Water Adventure Park. Kids make noise, I understand but I have not expected so many kids at a Hard Rock Hotel. Absolutely overpriced. For SGD 300,-/night we got a standard room. Had to queue for breakfast for 30 min. Not because peak hours but poor registering process. There were many empty tables but we could not enter despite we have been checked off the list. Inside queue for everything. No coffee mugs, not plates food stations partially empty. The staff was not able to refill. After queuing everywhere to get our breakfast together they still cut-off breakfast at 10:30, leaving us hungry. You pay premium and receive sub standard
