• Quliyeva (9/5): - This was my very first stop in Sri Lanka, and honestly, my expectations were quite low—but it exceeded them in every possible way. The house is incredibly clean, spacious, and truly comfortable. What impressed me the most was the kindness and understanding of the host—I genuinely felt so welcomed and taken care of. If I ever come back, I wouldn’t even think twice about staying here again. Plus, there are some amazing places to eat just 2–3 minutes away, which made everything even more perfect. everything was great

• Harris (10/5): We stayed here twice we liked it so much it’s not far from the airport and is in my opinion the best value for money and - We actually stayed here twice as we liked it so much, in the villa at the bottom and room on the first floor. Both were excellent and I would recommend to anyone that they should stay here. The rooms are clean large and have good facilities. The woman that runs it is so kind she waited up very late not knowing my arrival time to ensure I got into my room. Nothing it was all amazing

• REBECA (10/5): Quiet and peaceful place for resting after a long trip. - It is located close from the main street but in a very quiet and peaeful aera. I stayed 6 nights and I felt very confortable. The place is very cozy, clean and Mahesha and the staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was also very delicious and abundant.

• Thamara (9/5): Overall, it was a comfortable and peaceful stay with a few minor issues - We had a pleasant one-night stay. The room was spacious, clean, and soundproof, which made it very comfortable. All the listed amenities were available as described. The environment was calm and quiet, and we really appreciated the peace and privacy during our stay — we weren’t disturbed at all. Although the hotel may not look visible at first sight, there is a clear signboard at the start of a small path that leads to the property. The bathroom had a few issues — limited toiletries and a toilet flush that didn’t work properly. The door wouldn’t stay open, but that wasn’t a big deal. We also didn’t receive the Wi-Fi password at check-in, but we didn’t follow up on that.

• Anonymous (1/5): Poor facilities and a complete disregard for guest comfort. - The room's design was the only positive—it looked nice at first glance. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend staying at Ruth Villa. Here are the key issues I faced during my 3 day stay: 1. Internet Access: Although the WiFi network showed as connected, there was no actual internet access for most of my stay. I was only able to use the internet for a few hours in total. When I raised this concern, the owner blamed her servant for possibly switching it off, which felt like an excuse rather than a solution. 2. Toilet Flush Not Working: The flush button in the bathroom was not functioning properly. Despite informing the owner, she insisted it was working – which was simply not true. 3. Ineffective Air Conditioning: While the AC was technically on, it did not cool the room properly. Even at night, the room remained uncomfortably warm. It seemed like the AC was either outdated or set in a way to limit power usage, compromising guest comfort. 4. Bathroom Water Stagnation: There was consistent water stagnation in the bathroom, causing inconvenience and making it unpleasant to use. To make things worse, upon checkout, I informed the owner about these deficiencies and requested a partial refund. She requested me not to leave a negative review, so I wrote feedback on a piece of paper instead. However, after receiving the note, she did not process any refund and took full payment despite the issues I faced. This felt dishonest and manipulative. Overall, the service did not match the promises made on Booking.com
• Eva (8/5): Loved our stay. Was perfect for our last night in Sri Lanka. - Comfy beds and great water pressure. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Friendly staff. Appreciated the tea and coffee on arrival. Close to the beach and restaurants. Bathroom is very hot and the door doesn’t stay open. Minimal issue.

• Rainer (7/5): Nice room but without mosquito protection - Nice room and after 2 horror nights with mosquitos the Lady finally offered mosquito protection. Mosquitos in the room. Unfortunately the lady no offered a mosquito net, because "there are no mosquitos in the room", how the owner answered my wish of a mosquito net.

• Giada (10/5): i enjoyed my stay in Ruth Villa. Good environment! - the place is very beautiful and placed in a strategic positivo, close to the beach but also to the main road where restaurants and shops are. during the night is not super quiet and there are mosquitos.

• Mariann (10/5): Great stay in Negombo - Had one night at the hotel since I had an early flight the next day. The staff was amazing and made my stay easy. Helped me book at transfer to the airport early in the morning. And they also confirmed with the driver in the morning that I was on my way- love how they cared. The hotel was clean, and as a lonly traveler I felt really safe. Good size of the room, great wi-fi and aircon. Easy access to the beach
