Guest Reviews
- Harman (9/5): - Location, friendly staff ,good value Nothing I can think of
- Adrian (9/5): Overall was excellent Peter who looked after parking was brilliant - Location & luxury Pricing
- Sharron (6/5): - Exceptional views from room, really comfy bed Room v tired, shower went very hot to v cold several times during use. Rope banister made going up/downstairs difficult. Only one decent bag (Yorkshire tea)
Metal posts not ideal for carparking. V difficult to park with these in.place when several cars parked.
- David (8/5): - Room very comfortable Stairs a bit steep
- Mick (8/5): - loved the breakfast and the people that provided it The room. Didn't mind the stairs but I didn't like seeing the cleaning materials half way up. The room was smaller than expected and the "seating area" was two chairs squashed in between the bed and the window and also making it difficult to open the wardrobe door. The window looked like it was on its last legs and crashed down when we opened it. The curtains also weren't fixed on properly. The expel-air in the bathroom didn't work.
I'm sorry to have to write this as the day we left the people in the breakfast room were fantastic as was the location. But paying 146 pounds for a room of that standard was not.
- Emma (7/5): - Fab location, fantastic view, great staff, very friendly. Decor a bit tired and dated but comfortable and bedding clean. Breakfast good. Small room and bathroom. Bathroom needed a refurb.
- Helen (9/5): -
- AROONA (10/5): Comfortable Special Warm clean Friendly. - Perfect everything N/A
- Carole (8/5): A great place for an overnight stay in Brixham with a delicious home cooked breakfast. - Good location overlooking the harbour. Great freshly cooked breakfast. Our room was very small. Fine for an overnight stay though.
- Jenny (10/5): Lovely welcoming staff at breakfast , a great situation and sweet hotel. - Great location for the fishing harbour… and gorgeous evening sunshine. Great parking and lots of fish eateries close by.. lovely understated friendly property The room was cosy and we brought our dog who was very happy … Nothing ..
- Dermot (10/5): Perfect location with parking in the harbour £7, and the even arranged a glorious sunny day for us… 😊 - Fantastic views, lovely breakfast and very friendly staff & hosts… Nothing
- Keith (8/5): Great location, lovely breakfast, friendly. - Location was everything. Great breakfast. Very friendly. Lovely view over the Harbour. Nice parking space for a reasonable fee. A bit tight for our suv. Lots of stairs. Our room wasn’t en-suite,so a recommendation would be to provide a couple of dressing gowns for the stomp across the landing. Room was small but sufficient.
- Ceiley (9/5): - Location, comfy bed Sharp stairs
- Julia (10/5): - Perfect location and the best view over the harbour Room was a bit small but we only stayed 1 night
- Phil (9/5): - Fantastic view of Brixham from the room. Full English Breakfast was a bit minimal but very nice. Could have done with an extra sausage!
- Erica (10/5): Lovely little bolthole - Easy to book last minute. Staff were very accomodating and welcoming, lady who serves breakfast was exceptionally lovely! Hooks on the bathroom door
- Louisa (8/5): Great host and fabulous location! - Steve was the perfect host! Friendly and just so lovely! Amazing location with views over the harbour. Breakfast was delicious. The dog even got a sausage! Our room on the top floor was perfect for our needs but some may think it needs a little updating - it didn’t affect our stay!
- Debi (8/5): Lovely little place with a wonderful view and fantastic breakfast - Friendly accommodation in a great location, with a wonderful breakfast! Nothing, it was exactly as we expected
- Kerstin (8/5): - Einfache Unterkunft , in guter Lage ! Gut für einen Stopp in Brixham . Nette Gastgeber ! Käse , Obstsalat etc. wäre schön gewesen .
Sonst alles ok

- Joanne (8/5): -
- Jamie (10/5): - This was a great stay in Brixham, where we stayed after visiting Greenway house. The venue organised a parking space for a small fee, directly below on the harbour and a short walk up the steps to the property. The property itself was clean and quirky - on four levels. Small room but exceptionally clean, comfortable and well equipped. The view of the harbour was incredible. Double glazing ensured it was very quiet. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful - freshly cooked with unlimited toast, cereal, fruit, etc. All in all, this was great value! Nothing.
- James Ian Ross (8/5): -
- Nicola (10/5): - Location, views were amazing. Nothing

- Simon (8/5): -
- Natalie (9/5): Very comfortable stay in a picturesque location. - stunning view over the harbour. Room small but clean and comfortable. All beautifully clean. Nothing to dislike but travel light as cars cannot park up directly outside the property and the rooms with views are a climb up!
- Catherine (8/5): Super safe and convenient - Good position No view from back room but lovely bench over the road
- Jane (8/5): Perfect for town centre. - Position of hotel great
Breakfast great Bed was very soft and therefore uncomfortable. Room ok but small and no view. I imagine front rooms would have an amazing view
- John (10/5): -

- Piotr (8/5): Nice small room - Very nice breakfast
- Mandy (10/5): Lovely weekend - We stay in Brixham a couple of times a year - never here before. Harbour View was lovely, friendly feel and staff. The room and breakfast area was all very clean and comfortable, perfect size breakfast and parking was very close to accommodation. We also booked for the pub the New Quay Inn and had a lovely meal, very busy but great service and food.We will definitely be returning 😁 No complaints!
- Pat (5/5): great location overlooking Brixham Harbour but very small room & en-suite - great location overlooking Brixham Harbour
lovely walks in the area, fabulous coastline
nice breakfast but not hot, just lukewarm nice breakfast but not hot, just lukewarm
very small room & en-suite, could do with having seating area somewhere else to compensate
en-suite door impeded toilet when in use, flooring needs replacing, shower grouting mould marks
need double glazing, windows were draughty, could hear & feel wind blowing though gaps, particularly on a freezing November day
fire doors very difficult to negotiate, especially when carrying luggage
would be nice to have something in the room for dogs to justify the £12 charge, e.g. water bowl
- Thompson (10/5): - Just bought a property in Brixham great stuff 🏡🥂🦤🥳🤩👍
- Robert (8/5): -
- Ian (10/5): - Peaceful and quiet great staff and fantastic breakfast and Coffee at breakfast N/a
- Matthew (9/5): Beautiful sea side town with great pubs and super friendly people. Harbour View is perfectly situated and really good va - Amazing views over the harbour. Parking just 5 mins away. Very clean room. Bathroom clean and there was even a working tower radiator. Breakfast was nice, tasty, and clean (not oily) No shelf in the shower.
- Adam (7/5): - The staff were really nice and lovely to chat to. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was tiny, which wasn't too much of an issue for our one night. The windows barely opened so getting any fresh air was tricky.
- Rodger (10/5): - Everything was all great
- gareth (10/5): - Great location, very clean and tidy, easy check in and check out.
- lewis (9/5): Lovely B&B in a great location - Great location, well thought out system for accessing room. Everything was good tbh
- beverley (10/5): Fantastic breakfast ,and great staff - The location was amazing such a superb view .felt most welcome by the lovely staff and will definitely be returning. There was nothing not to like
- Martin (10/5): Lovely peaceful stay in the heart of Brixham. - Staff were fantastic - genuinely friendly. Thank you.
Great breakfast.
Great location - couldn't have been better,
Very convienient parking,
We had a courtesy call on our way to the accomodation, to make sure we knew where to park and how to check-in etc. A very nice touch. We were very happy with everything.
- Sarah (10/5): Wish we could’ve stayed lobger - Everything we needed. Central. Excellent communication with the owners. Nothing
- Andrew (9/5): Recharge complete. - A perfect location close to everything Brixham has to offer. Hours were spent looking out at the view. The room was comfy, we both slept really well on the bed and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were yummy, catering for our allergies easily 😁 Everyone working there is lovely, and very helpful, adding to the happy relaxing atmosphere.
- TAN (7/5): Overall enjoy my trip will recommend friends to visit. - Very good Location, breakfast so so. Never thought standard room bit small.
- Adrie (8/5): -
- Thompson (10/5): - Everything but prefer lower floor Will be back again thank you ☺️ xx
- shirley (10/5): -
- John (10/5): Picture postcard weekend - Brilliant location with fantastic view of the harbour. Lovely staff. Very good WiFi. Excellent breakfast with exceptional provision for gluten free. Excellent car parking. Compact room.
- David (10/5): -
- Roger (8/5): Worth it for the location and views - The location overlooking the picturesque and working harbour was fantastic, breakfast was good and plentiful, location was right in the centre of town. We felt that Harbour View should of stated the challenging staircase was not easy to manage especially if you were on the 3rd floor and you had to be a bit of a mountaineer and quite fit.
- Brian (7/5): -
- David (10/5): - Amazing location overlooking the harbour at Brixham. The breakfast was excellent and our dog was also treated to a breakfast sausage.
Loved the cafe on the otherside of the harbour. Excellent coffee and cakes.
- Francesca (9/5): -
- Matt (10/5): -
- Mark (10/5): -
- Georgina (5/5): Like staying at Fawlty Towers! Owner needs to be available to speak to as didn’t answer the phone after several attempts - The view The room was a very small double on third floor. Difficult stairs and rope handle so awkward for anyone with mobility. Private bathroom opposite was cold and hot water in shower intermittent! Only half a toilet roll on first night! Poor as staying for 5 nights so should have been well stocked. No refresh of room without having to keep asking. Carpet threads exposed near entrance, blu tac in walls not scraped off. Generally very disappointing lack of attention. Breakfast staff were locked out one morning, had to phone guests to let them in! Continuous parking problems. Allocated parking space 35 to be told in wrong place, had to move to 42 then someone had parked there! Had to go back to 35 then told had to move it by 11am next day for workman despite having paid £7 per night! Very frustrating and felt like the owner really didn’t care about his customers! Not available and not easy to get hold of. I’m not sure why as a customer I would be apologising when I’m on holiday to relax which really didn’t happen.
- geoffrey (8/5): - good breakfast and comfortable bed
- Alastair (8/5): -
- Lim-Lian (9/5): Wonderful view, great hosts, solid breakfast - Fantastic location, great view of the harbor, walking distance to the harbor and eating places, parking nearby The room we were in had slightly sloping floors but it added to the charm
- K (10/5): - Clean room, very friendly staff, tasty breakfast, fab location, 10/10
- Amanda (8/5): Pleasant - View, easy walk from the town Room was small and bed was small for a double
- John (9/5): Wonderful break in a resort we’ve enjoyed for years. - Had a harbour view, and a lovely pub associated with it.
Very friendly staff. Nothing
- Nigel (9/5): Comfortable, good value for money, extremely good staff. - Good facilities and comfortable. Excellent staff; extremely helpful, friendly and capable. The original parking, on the harbour level below, was okay, except unloading and loading to property door was very difficult. Unfortunately, the parking was dis-allowed by the council due to work planned. Although alternative parking was provided without further cost, it wasn’t convenient being over 10minutes walk away. My partner is 83 and struggled to walk the distance especially the with gradients.
- Denise (10/5): Comfy stay whilst walking the SW coast path - Close to town , great views. Comfy clean.
Great to be allowed a dog to stay in the room.
Great location near restaurants for the evening.
- John (8/5): - Lovely little hotel high above the harbour in Brixham. Nice rooms and cooked breakfast. Parking is down steps to the harbour so difficult if mobility is limited
- Clayton (10/5): See you again soon Harbour View - Harbour view was just lovely. Perfect location to enjoy the harbour side, the views from our room were phenomenal. The staff were so helpful and accommodating Can’t think of any

- Nicola (10/5): Highly recommended. A very pleasant stay with an enjoyable breakfast - Easily accessible with no problem unloading the car. The parking was a bonus and although there’s steps down to it, we were fine with it. Nice room and bathroom-both very clean. . There’s nothing to not like
- Richard (7/5): Good value, great location for exploring Harbour - Good quality guest house / B&B in great position for seeing and exploring the harbour area. Pre-reserving parking is a must and is positioned below the guest house at harbour level with stairs upto accommodation. Excellent breakfast with pleasant staff. Nothing
- Sharon (10/5): Excellent comfortable property. Superb location friendly staff - Exceptional views from our room. The property was very comfortable and clean. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent. Parking excellent. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
- Michael (6/5): - Great location overlooking harbour. Decent breakfast, with the full range of cooked options. We had the rear-facing twin room, which felt a little dark and pokey ... not quite as nice as the photos suggest, and no view at all.
It's self check-in so we didn't have much interaction with the owners except at breakfast.
- Jane (1/5): Would not recommend anyone to stay ! - Breakfast was good and staff were very helpful The room was advertised as garden view but what a joke !
The entrance to the room was outside of the property entering from a public lane through a unlockable wooden door!
On entering the room it smelt of mould , the curtain backing was covered in mould !
Was very difficult to unload bags as premises opened directly onto a road .Reserved carpark was extremely difficult to park as was so narrow !!
- Richard (7/5): - Lovely location, room was very comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection of ceral, bakery and cooked. As I purchased the parking on the quay, it would have been good to have known the bay I had been allocated prior to arrival.
- Greg (9/5): Absolutely lovely stay in Brixham, excellent location and the staff made us feel very welcome. -
- Phil (8/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): - Excellent service great staff
