- Jennifer (10/5): Lovely stay. - Very clean, comfortable, quiet room, excellant breakfast.Location excellant just off main road. Received a lovely surprise each evening on door handle a bedtime chocolate.Nothing too much trouble, very helpful hosts.Miss Maggie 4paws is an angel. Nothing.
- Patricia (10/5): Our stay was more than a happy one. Pete and Warren (and little Maggie) made us so welcome. The breakfast is second to - Close to the shops, tea rooms and restaurants. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Our room was particularly good and the attention to detail was exceptional. The breakfast was so good and set us up for the day. Nothing!
- Apoorva (10/5): Cannot wait to come back again! - What’s not to like! This is my second time staying here! Pete and Warren are two of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met and it feels like being home! The room was impeccable and the bed was so so comfortable and I had one of the best sleeps I’ve ever had in a hotel! Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, and there is a lot of choice. Highlight was their pup Maggie who is adorable and a very good girl. Nothing, everything was perfect :)
- Suzanne (10/5): A very warm welcome on arrival and we will be back for a longer stay. - The very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable staff.
Nothing was too much trouble, both Warren and Pete were on hand to give advice of any parts of the Island we wanted to visit. N/A
- Martin (10/5): Best place to stay ever. Thank you - This is one of the nicest hotels iv ever stayed at. Pete and Warren are wonderful hosts that make you feel so welcome and they cannot do enough for you. The rooms are so clean and lovely little details throughout. The breakfast was very very tasty. The location is brilliant really close to Shanklin chine and the local pubs and restaurants.
I bought my bike with me and Pete and Warren were so kind letting me keep it in the garage and arranging when could bring it back
I will definitely return and have recommended to so many people.
Truly fabulous place in every way that made my holiday. Thank you Having to leave
- Barrie (10/5): - Peter, Warren and Maggie were excellent host with a warm greeting when we first arrived and each day, breakfast was very nice with a good choice of food, will definitely stay again.
- Eric (10/5): Wouldn’t go anywhere else but here - Everything
Spotless
Warren and Pete were amazing
Felt so so at home
- Kevin (10/5): -
- Derek (9/5): Superb - Exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts ! Situation ideal.
- Patrick (10/5): Simply the Best - A first class experience from start to finish. We were given guidance by Warren to start with on the local pubs and restaurants in Shanklin. The places to see in Shanklin and the main places to visit around the Island with guidance on the buses and the train and when and which ones to use to get to your destination. The room was spotless as was the toilet and shower. Cold water in the fridge, tea cakes and toffees left on side, and a treat hanging on the door every evening.
The bed was amazing, it was so comfortable, I went to sleep in seconds.
The breakfast choices were many, the Full English Breakfast was easily the best I had ever eaten. I did not need lunch after eating that breakfast. The quality of the food that made up the breakfast was the best you could buy. I never left anything on the plate. Pater was the breakfast Guru it was always cooked to perfection.
You could even have an alcoholic drink if you fancied one, they trusted everyone to record what they had taken from the bar and you paid for it at the end of your stay.
The property is situated in Shanklin Old Town and is only minutes away from virtually everything.
I would recommend staying at this hotel to everybody thinking of visiting Shanklin you will not find anywhere better !!!!
- Merlin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandy (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was wonderful. Warren & Pete, the hosts and Maggie (the boss) hotels own dog were very friendly, accommodating, full of helpful information, down to earth but professional .Our room was clean, comfortable, and inviting. The lounge area was very nice with an honest bar, which I thought was a nice touch . The breakfast every morning was excellent no matter what you had cooked. The choice was varied with fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals, then a choice of cooked breakfast from scrambled to fried and poached eggs with all the trimmings. The food was beautifully cooked and presented and always hot . Extra toast if you want it with lots of jams and marmalade to choose from. The chocolates every nite waitjng for you outside your room was very sweet. The garden room and the garden itself are a lovely spot to sit and have a coffee. Lots nearby to see and do , local pubs, restaurants , local fish n chips was good . We went to the donkey sanctuary, wildlife park, garlic farm, and the beautiful beaches and coastline before our festival days on the island . Highly recommend Grangebank ***** Nothing to report here
- Annemieke (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Great hosts. Will definitely rebook if I visit Isle of Wight again - It was very clean and welcoming and the bed was super comfy. No negatives
- Emma (10/5): The perfect British Bed & Breakfast experience <3 - We were looking for a traditional British B&B experience, and we definitely got that plus a few charming extras! :)
+ LOVELY hosts. Both Pete and Warren were so welcoming, friendly and open from the get go. Definitely above and beyond in terms of customer service. We truly felt like guests. <3 Warren welcoming us so warmly and giving us lots of information about the area, Pete happily chatting with all the guests while bringing breakfast orders.
+ Very homey and cozy place, both common areas and the rooms themselves.
+ Delish brekkie, with a variety of options to suit everyone.
+ Perfect location, just off the most beautiful street on the Isle of Wight, Shanklin Old Village.
+ Little details like choccies at the door every evening, and tea and biscuits when we were welcomed.
+ Nice rooms with character and very comfy beds.
+ Shower was EXCEPTIONAL for a British shower. :)
And last but DEFINITELY not least:
+ MAGGIE THE FOUR-LEGGED CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER WE MISS YOU SO MUCH. <3 Everything was good. :)
- Ray (10/5): - Lovely hosts and the breakfast is off the scale good, would recommend Grange Bank House to anyone.

- Rahul (10/5): Simply an awesome stay !! - Our stay at Grange Bank House was outstanding. The hosts, Warren and Pete, were phenomenal. We just loved their welcoming nature & the way they connect with you as their guests. The entire place is so warm. The hospitality is just superb. There is a strong sense of making a difference in all the small things they do there right from welcoming you and giving you a brief about the town/the B&B/& all the other things; setting the room up for you, the breakfast arrangements, the little bar at the property, the chocolates kept waiting for you every evening at your room door, the cleanliness, the tea/coffee facilities in the room and so many more. The place is pet friendly to the core. While we didn't have any pets of our own, as my wife isn't too comfortable with them, however end of the stay she had actually started patting Maggie (the property dog) and one more of the guest dogs, Poppey (she was super cute) ! :) Unbelievable for me! :) All in all a great stay at Grange House and would strongly recommend it for everyone travelling to Shanklin! A hands down - WINNER! Absolutely nothing to talk about here.......
- Ashleigh (10/5): Great place to stay, on a beautiful island, we're lucky to have found it - Peter & Warren are wonderful hosts, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and made sure we were well informed for touring the island. Maggie the 4 legged customer liaisons officer was the cherry on top for us.
On-site parking, and well located near to shops, restaurants and Shanklin Chine.
Room was clean, well stocked, and had a very comfortable bed.
I would definitely recommend a Grange bank house if you're looking for somewhere to stay on the Isle of Wight.

- Ian (10/5): Perfect hosts at a perfect location. - We have stayed on the island many times before. The guesthouse location in Shanklin was ideal. A 2 minute walk to local shops and pubs and also to Shanklin Chime and the seafront cliff walk. We chose Grange Bank house because of the great reviews and also because it is dog friendly. Very dog friendly with all dogs well behaved and given attention by the hosts. Our hosts, Warren and Pete were welcoming and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. They were fantastic. They have a lovely guest house and go out of their way to ensure all guests are happy. They should be very proud of what they have achieved and the personal effort they put in day to day. Our room was lovely and clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was perfect with cold items to help yourself to and hot items cooked freshly to order. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing break and hope to return again in the future. Thanks again, Warren and Pete. Everything was great.

- Sue (10/5): Warm welcome, perfectly placed in Shanklin Old Village, pristine accommodation, highly recommended. - Grange Bank House is spotless and the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed! Nothing was too much trouble for Pete and Warren and the lovely Maggie is a doggy delight. Special little touches and Yorkshire tea, they have thought of everything. A masterclass in poached eggs sealed it! I can’t think of anything that needs improvement

- Trevor (9/5): Lovely hotel - Pete and warren made us very welcome, food lovely, good variety, rooms clean
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional - There was nothing not to like. Pete and Warren were amazing hosts
- Eugene (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (9/5): I felt well looked after during my stay. - Pete and Warren are excellent hosts of a good b&b on a quiet side road in the old town.
Breakfast was very good with the Vegetarian option not being simply an afterthought. Occasionally some sounds do echo a bit. It is now a longish walk to the beach due to lanslips closing the obvious route.
- Carole (10/5): What a nice place, and what nice people. - This is a very clean, well maintained, nicely decorated dog friendly guest house.
Warren and Pete are great hosts who will do what they can to help make your stay the best they can, probably the best breakfasts in Shanklin too!
Dogs are not just accepted, they are welcomed.

- John (10/5): Fabulous. - Everything. Nothing was too much trouble. The b&b was just perfect in all ways.
Location. In the beautiful chocolate box old part of Shanklin. The weather was too warm for me. Otherwise, nothing.
- Rogers (9/5): A clean, comfortable and very friendly Bed and Breakfast, set in a quiet town location. - Breakfast was efficiently prepared and served, an excellent choice of hot and cold options. Vegetarians were well catered for. Location is great, close to town centre but in a quiet road. Not a problem for us but the off road parking was a little tight. Squeaky floor boards in room 4. Far too many pillows and towels per person, which apparently all have to be laundered, even if not used.
- Khem (9/5): Superb - Friendly
- Barry (10/5): Everything I wanted/needed was here. - Excellent hosts, very comfortable room, superb breakfasts. Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Amazing hosts - There is nothing to fault as everything was spectacular from the moment of arrival to departure the hosts Pete and Warren were amazing in all aspects and left a warm and comforting feeling throughout my stay.
The house comes with a beautiful dog named Maggie who was just pleasant to be around and so friendly.
Breakfast service was also amazing as they provided a vegetarian option with a healthy fruit salad bowl (my fave)
I would most defiantly recommend The Grange Bank House as my experience was 10/10
Small tip. Book direct with host. n/a
- Nigel (10/5): It was very very good - The hosts are fantastic
- Jitsuko (10/5): Great service, superb accommodation - The owners (Pete and Warren) think about the guests, and I could see that in everything - the house, room, services, and breakfast. They were very caring, friendly, and kind and made me feel at home. My dog was very excited and noisy in the breakfast room, had a toilet accident, and got sick, but they were very understanding. Not many places allow dogs in the eating area, so it was nice. The room was super clean and comfortable, I definitely come back for my next visit to IoW! Everything was perfect!
- David (10/5): Friendly, comfortable and happy. - Warm welcome. Informative. Great company. Really a comfortable and happy place to stay. Great breakfast and good quality tea and coffee. Other drinks were very reasonably priced. Warren and Pete were lovely hosts. Nothing to dislike.

Nothing was ever too much trouble and the owners really do care that your stay is amazing! Super comfortable rooms and beds, The most amazing breakfast - cooked to perfection. This is more like a 6* High end hotel!!
Location is ideal with free parking and the hosts offer dicounted ferry options. Dog friendly hotel in all rooms but you would never know a dog has been in the house it is so clean and fresh!
For us it was the amazing personal toutches from the owners that made this a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Nothing could be found to complain over - NAILED IT GUYS - THANK YOU SO MUCH

- Amandine (10/5): Amazing weekend in Grange Bank House - We had an amazing stay at Grange Bank House. We felt very welcomed. Our hosts were always here to help us and guide us to the main attractions and restaurants of the island. The food served at breakfast is amazing and served with joy and love.
The bed was really comfortable and the room very clean and well equipped.
Thank you again for your hospitality. We felt like we were at home for a few days.
- _linda_ (10/5): Excellent in every way. - Everything at Grange Bank is first class: the welcome, the decor, the food, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. It's excellent value for money and the location's also excellent: very near the old village but on a quiet road. All the good restaurants are very close and Warren and Pete couldn't be more helpful. There is nothing at Grange Bank not to like.
- Doreen (10/5): there’s only one word to say and that is EXCELLENT - it was as good as any 4star hotel. Warren and Peter make you so welcome from the minute you walk though the front door, and go out of their way to make your stay has comfortably as possible. There’s nothing to dislike, if you can find any fault with this accommodation then you are a very hard person to please.
- Ceri (10/5): Fabulous - Fabulous as always. Will definitely return very soon.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Junyi (10/5): Exceptional -

- Denise (10/5): A Shanklin Treat - Everything! A warm welcome, a lovely room, excellent food, a comfortable lounge and sunroom. A very special place for my birthday week! N/A
- Karen (10/5): Great place - Great place fab hosts spotlessly clean and amazing breakfasts
- Verified traveler (10/5): Well run, welcoming b and b - Spacious accommodation, recently refurbished.
- John (10/5): Long weekend. - A friendly well run establishment, excellent rooms food and attention to detail, nothing too much trouble and pets were treated as another guest.
Russel amd Pete were excellent hosts.
- Po Lam (10/5): Superb and strongly recommended - Warren and Pete are super friendly, breakfast is fantastic. The best B&B I have ever had. We have enjoyed our 2 nights stay in Shanklin.
- Michelle (10/5): HOME AWAY FROM HOME - we were greeted by lovely warren, hospitality was fantastic. He offered us drinks and introduced us to the island, the village, & then grange bank house. He led us to our rooms, the house is very well kept clean. Everything you need is there from coffee making fascilities, fridge & water which is being restocked daily and anything you need, you can just ask. Even bathrobes! It was like being in a hotel! Chocolates are left by your door every evening too!
Our second day, we met the lively pete who served us breakfast. Breakfast is freshly done and enough to keep you full for the rest of the day! You can order from cereal to cooked - cannot be faulted! Breakfast is always full of laughter & it gives a great vibe to start the day. They do allow guests to bring in take aways but not to eat in rooms, you can always let them know & they can set up a table with plates & cutleries in the dining room.
They have a very beautiful lounge with a honesty bar full of drinks to choose from. Wifi was strong but internet in the village has dead spots spots.
There is ample parking, also a large car park in the village. Everything is walking distance to the beech, to shanklin chine, shops, restaurants & it is a very good base, no matter where you want to go in the island. They do cater for guests with pets as well.
I will not hesitate to recommend this place to anybody and surely be coming back on our next visit. Warren & Pete are the best host!
"CAME IN AS STRANGERS, LEAVE AS FRIENDS"
- Tushar (10/5): Hosts of the year award goes to.... - One of the super best hosts I have come across in England till date. Pete and Warren are friendly, and very helpful. You won’t feel you are staying in a hotel. It feels like you are visiting your friends. The guest house is well maintained and very beautiful, 5 mins away from Shanklin beach and chine. Well connected with buses. We were lucky to get the accommodation on last minute but this is surely recommended to book well in advance. Thank you Folks for making our stay memorable. We are definitely coming back soon.
- Alison (10/5): - Informative, warm and eager to help, Warren and Pete were great hosts - and Whitney was a star!
Lovely clean place to stay and genuinely nice people!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pete and Warren are very welcoming hosts, our room was beautiful and had clearly been decorated and furnished with great eye for detail. Our stay was very comfortable and breakfast was home cooked and delicious.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Top marks, but... - hard not to give top marks but if someone in the next room takes a shower after you've gone to bed then it may well disturb your sleep, but it's probably like that anywhere and not much one can do. awoken very early by some incredibly loud seagulls but i guess that is the luck of the draw at the seaside although could be peculiar to this part of town. fabulous place, but may not be the most restful one can find
- Steve (10/5): - Made very welcome
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Grange Bank House is located less than 2 mins walk from Shanklin Old Village. The rooms were immaculately clean and I had one of best English Breakfasts I’ve had. Looking forward to staying there again.
- Wendy (10/5): Amazing 😉 - Our stay was fabulous. We can highly recommend this wonderful b & b. The hosts Warren and Peter and truly lovely. They are approachable, relaxed and extremely helpful. The room was perfect with an amazing bed!! The breakfast was superb with a fantastic choice. Easy access around the island. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay here 😊😊😊
