Guest Reviews
- Werstein (10/5): - The love and precision put into this place is remarkable. The woodwork is stunning, the views from your room are gorgeous and it's so cozy. Beth is a fabulous host with an easy energy that makes you feel right at home.
- Barbara (9/5): Lovely peaceful stay in the woods. - A lovely location in the woods, very friendly hostess, delicious breakfast served in a homey breakfast area. This was not a problem for us, but it's good to know that the property is up a lengthy, unpaved, and sometimes rather steep, driveway and is not near any restaurants, so, while you will get a full breakfast, plan to eat dinner before you arrive. We were glad to have our All Wheel Drive Subaru going up the driveway.
- Guest (10/5): A beautiful luxury treehouse! - This exceptional experience gives you the best of the PNW! The building is beautifully handcrafted with luxury heated floors, comfortable bed, huge shower, fresh quality towels, a wrap around balcony/deck with comfy chairs to enjoy the trees and quiet. In addition, the owner Beth is kind, helpful and present in every way if you need something. Breakfast was delicious. In short: give yourself a gift-stay here! The flip side of staying in the wooded countryside is that you must come prepared with snacks and food for all your needs. Town is a 15 minute drive.

- Betty (10/5): - Incredible comes to mind. Everyone was amazing. It was my daughter's birthday, and they went out of their way to make it special for her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making a very memorable stay. WE will be back!
- Christopher (10/5): A trully magical place - Beth made for the perfect hostess. Kind, generous, and truly lovely lady. When you arrived you are immediately immersed in the love that has gone into creating this really rather special place. The rooms are excellent, particularly the suite upstairs, which is just magical, and Beth makes the most wonderful breakfast. My only complaint is we only got to spend one night here.
- Jeffrey (6/5): Change the bed - Beth-the owner-is uber friendly and makes great breakfasts. The room and bath is gorgeous until bedtime. The bed and foam mattress requires” changing. My partner and I sank and my spine hurt in the mornings I stayed there. I did mention the problem to her and she defended the extra steps she took to ensure the bed’s comfort. For us, the bed did not work.
Too bad! Beth is charming and gracious.
- Jodi (10/5): I would highly recommend this B&B and would gladly stay again. - Breakfast was fabulous-homemade with local fruits, eggs, etc. Very filling and delicious. The B&B is beautiful, quiet, welcoming and the bed was so comfortable. Host was very personable and easy to communicate with. We loved our stay. Nothing-everything was perfect.
- Michele (10/5): Although brief, it was utterly delightful! - Very unique, woodsy, and comfortable
- Robert (10/5): Unparalleled beauty! - BEST night's stay! Beth went above & beyond to make us feel welcome & shared interesting history of her exquisite home & beautiful property. Breakfast was fabulous. We will definitely stay there again!
Thank you Beth!
- Lawrence (10/5): Stay here, you won't be sorry. - If you are anywhere in the area, stay here! Beth and her house have earned their stellar reviews. Greeted warmly as we reached the house, up a half-mile private drive into a clearing in gorgeous pine woods, we felt instantly at home. The room (the "yew room" in our case), was large, comfortable, spotlessly clean, with a kitchen, recliner sofa and TV, and a wrap around balcony that looks out over the woods and the back garden/patio area. It is decorated in pine with hand-crafted touches made from local wood. The bathroom was terrific, with a a double shower and plenty of hot water. We woke up to the smell of coffee, bacon and waffles, a wonderful alarm clock! Beth sat with us and traded stories as if we were her oldest friends. Very sorry we couldn't stay longer and enjoy hikes through their 40-acre woods. Everything was pretty much perfect. Exactly as described or better. Be prepared, however, that (as their materials clearly state) they are a few miles out in the woods and so you have to be prepared to travel a bit for dining. But being out in such a peaceful haven is exactly what you come for.
- Yolanda (10/5): - Beth’s kindness and generosity, along with the peaceful relaxing location of the B&B, made our stay magical. Thank you!
- Patricia (10/5): Fantastic! - This was by far the best host I’ve ever had in all of my years of travel. Beth was kind and attentive and one minute after we met her we felt like we knew her a lifetime. The world needs more people like her and her husband. Her home is worth the Very steep driveway lol
- Amber (10/5): - Our hostess was the best! The property was beautiful and secluded. A great get away to enjoying Oregon wilderness at its best. Love the Oregon strawberries as well!
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eugenia (10/5): Exceptional - Beth is the greatest host !!!! We were so happy to spend a couple of days in this magical place :)
- Andrea (10/5): Your only regret will be WHY are you not also living in paradise? - The first prompt in the survey is breakfast, so let me just get straight to that. Flung open the patio door stepped out to hear the birds and smell the pines and firs warming in the sunshine- and then there's bacon sizzling in a cast iron skillet on the deck near by. For that bit of loveliness alone- you should stay here! Beth then made us the most delightful yeast waffles with whipped cream and homemade berry compote. There were piles of scrambled eggs which my husband scarfed down and said were wonderful. This home is a work of love and art. Every corner, every item holds a story, I am certain- from the wood milled from forgotten springboard Thuja trunks and gnarly, glowing yew limbs, to masonry, family art & photos on the walls, hand made coverlets.... The space feels both welcoming in the warmest, softest way and also sacred. We were warned to find dinner before arriving and we checked-in, intended to leave again, but we just could. Remembering two apples and some nuts in our cooler, we opted to make do, because the draw of the patio on that most perfectly lovely day was so much greater than our hunger for food. It was the right choice. I did not walk the grounds and I wish now that I had. None the less, I could see that this cozy bit of forest has been meticulously managed well. It's worth your consideration. Returning is definitely on my travel wish list. The comfy chair in our room was a nice touch, we appreciated after many cramped cabins and motel lodgings. Hmmmm. I always like to give some complements and some suggestions, but I have to dig a little now. The bed may have been a tad too soft. Darn.
- Mark (10/5): - Amazing magical place! Just outside of Eugene and a world away. Beautiful home built by hand by Beth and her husband. Absolutely stunning rooms and a five star breakfast.
We cannot wait to return.
- Lennen (10/5): Unique and delightful. - Wow! Beautiful home with incredible craftsmanship. Beth was such a gracious hostess, and breakfast was perfectly delicious. This is not just a place to sleep, but an experience!
- Clarence (10/5): - Unique..Immaculate..Lovely...Classy as Hell! Totally Loved it!
- David (10/5): - The facilities were really really nice. We felt like we were in a luxury cabin in the mountains. The breakfast was outstanding and far beyond our expectations. It was nice to have Beth sit at breakfast with us and discuss the area and general travel experiences
- Don (10/5): Absolutely wonderful. - Beautiful, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Welcoming and pleasant hostess. Loved it.
- Michelle (10/5): Enchanted Forest - Everything was amazing! The view was beautiful. It feels like being in an enchanted forest. The room was so comfy and smelled nice. The bed was comfy. The sheets were soft. The shower was cool. Beth made us the most delicious breakfast, homemade waffles eggs and bacon. We will definitely be back and for a longer stay next time. Nothing it was all great.
- Kenneth (10/5): - This was a jewel in the middle of the forest, thoughtfully constructed and impeccably decorated, with fantastic breakfasts. We will be going back!
- Lisa (10/5): - Beth was an amazing host to this great bed and breakfast. Beautiful accommodations in this peaceful location.
- Mark (10/5): - Clean, friendly, peaceful
- Talbot (10/5): Tranquil, beautiful spot to unwind, and breakfast was delicious! -
- Michele (10/5): - It was charming and peaceful. Beth is a great host.
- sheryl (10/5): A special and glorious place to stay - All of the reviews are spot on. Beth is a charming and caring hostess. Such a nice person! The suite is gorgeous and perfect. We were in awe of the craftsmanship and beauty everywhere we looked. The surroundings are gorgeous. Every step has been taken to make staying here truly a special experience. Can't wait to return!
- Rodney (10/5): - One of a kind Jewel
- Carla (10/5): - One of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. High up on a mountain surrounded by trees and birdsong. The room was built and decorated with such craftsmanship and taste. We had use of a lovely patio. Beth is warm and gracious. Highly recommend.
- Michele (10/5): Beth is an unforgettable host. The house is one of a kind and breakfast was absolutely delicious! Stay here! - Everything! Staying here was more than a stay, it was an experience! The property is immaculate and amazing. We stayed in the Yew suite and it felt like we were one with nature. You won’t be disappointed. It was tucked away in a beautiful wooded setting. The heated floors and architectural details were amazing. Most of all, it was so peaceful and you’ll have a great night’s sleep!
- Lisa (10/5): Relaxing, beautiful & definitely a must to visit again. - The room was amazing. You could tell a lot of love was poured into the creation of the guest room. Not necessarily a negative since it is so beautiful & serene but it is a drive - about 30 minutes - to get to Eugene & if your purpose is in Eugene - be prepared to drive some. But so with the stay.
- Chung (10/5): Love - I loved talking with Beth and getting a hug before I Left That I couldn’t stay longer
- Jamie (10/5): - Beth was amazing. Very friendly and she is an amazing cook. Breakfast was fantastic! The room was perfect, and very clean. We are already trying to find an excuse to get away and stay here again.
- Bradley (10/5): - A total treat!
- Craig (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful, fantastic! - Beth was so accommodating! Beautiful property, excellent breakfast and conversation! Great proximity to wineries!
- Jacqueline (10/5): - This B & B is an absolute treasure! We loved our stay in the Yew Suite and plan to return soon! The grounds were so tranquil, perfect for a perch with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee! We loved the sweet details of this well appointed log home, with quilts, carved art, and comforts galore!
- Laura (10/5): - Beth is a wonderful host, breakfast was delicious and conversation wonderful. I will be back!
- Angie (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Excellent - The property is nestled on the side of a hill among huge pines. All we could hear was the wind moving through the branches of the trees. I liked the many humorous touches. If you like a cup of coffee on a porch in the morning, this is the place to stay. Many large windows brought the outside in. Everything was neat and clean. Our host made us an excellent breakfast. We would go back again. On our way to the road two deer bid us ado. Nothing
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Just Perfect. - The sign says "Welcome to Utopia" - that pretty much sums it up. If you want city noise and trains honking all night - stay in Eugene. The structure is timber framed with the mortise-and-tenon joints secured with wooden pegs in the traditional way. Bravo! Mark - the builder of the B&B is no longer with us.
- Debbie (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful. Beth was as warm and welcoming as could be. Definitely want to return.
- Kevin (10/5): - Beautiful and confortable. Excellent breakfast and owner Beth is amazing!
- Mary (10/5): so peaceful and beautiful. Beth’s breakfast was the best! - it was beautiful a slice of heaven. Beth thought of everything to make our stay exceptional.
- Cindy (10/5): This was a lovely find. We’d love to return. - This stay was like staying in a treehouse, but of course, not actual stairs ….. very accessible once you have ascended the long driveway. Beautifully appointed with so much beautiful woodwork. Handmade quilts. A feast for the eyes. A bit far out of town. But we had the time….😉
- Jayne (10/5): Exceptional - Beth was such a wonderful host, she made us feel so at home. The outdoor area is beautiful and the room was so cozy. Highly recommend! Wish I could go back again soon.
- Brad (10/5): Exceptional - The whole experience was awesome!
- Gina (10/5): - Beautiful cabin in the woods!
- Frost (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (7/5): Wonderful Bed & Marginal Breakfast - Cool place in the woods. Would be best to visit in good weather.
Our host was wonderful.
The room was perfect with beautiful view. For a bed and breakfast, the breakfast was underwhelming. Too salty for my taste, bacon way overcooked, cream curdled slightly in my tea (passed its prime).
- James (10/5): - Simply magnificent. Hostess Beth pays attention to every detail. You won't be disappointed
- Gavin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - We had our private outdoor space in the midst of quiet woods. Relaxing!! Our hostest was friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast. We didn't spend more time there!
- Jeremy (10/5): - Our hosts were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Highly recommend the place.
- Ramon (10/5): - Nice location, very clean , quiet and nice lady
- Kueiwen (10/5): Love the nature surrounding! Feel like living in a tree house with modern luxury. -
- Sulinda (10/5): Relaxing place in the Woods - This place is super unique. The details were carefully thought out. Beth was a warm, wonderful host and her breakfast was divine.
Next time we will stay longer. Great relaxing, quiet getaway near several wineries. We liked everything.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Beautiful Rustic Home - Find the metal gate with a big American flag attached, tap in the code, drive up to the top of the hill, and just when you wonder if you’ll ever arrive, a beautiful rustic home will appear! (The next time you drive up, it will seem a short trip up the hill!). Once inside, the welcoming host will explain how the home was built and with what wood. Such a unique and expertly built home! Just beautiful! We stayed in the 2nd floor apartment which included a kitchen and large bathroom and a wrap-around porch with plenty of spots to sit and gaze at the trees, hummingbirds, and breath the fresh air.
The host was friendly and cooked an amazing breakfast! Oh, wow— scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, orange juice, coffee. It’s truly a BnB, so you will have breakfast and conversation with the other guests, and if you’re lucky, the host, as well! I would stay here again.
- Walter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janella (10/5): - I can't say enough lovely things about our stay here. The place is so thoughtfully set up for guests. We had a lovely breakfast and they have the best chairs for stargazing. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.
- Daniel (10/5): BETH is so gracious, welcoming, wise, open...and so much of the stay was about getting to know Beth. - Waffles, eggs, berries, coffee, etc! Just what I needed. The location is amazing on a very large forested property. Beautiful and peaceful. The building of this B n B was clearly a labor of love. Wonderful wood! If I could have stayed another night. You really need to stay at least 2 nights but I had to leave. Boo.
- Colinmoody (10/5): Exceptional - This is unique location and accomodation. Great host. Very enjoyable. Not staying longer
- David (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): - Idyllic getaway in a rustic yet luxurious setting. Beth was a wonderful host—and chef—and amenities were top notch. Great proximity to area wineries, although the drive from the gate was a bit rutted and narrow. Great experience overall!
- Sheri (10/5): - What an incredible place to stay! From the amazing Yew suite with views in every direction you look, to the superior bedding to the absolutely delicious breakfast prepared by the delightful host, Beth! If you’re looking for a serene, peaceful getaway and you’re in the Eugene area then this is the place to stay. I can’t wait to go back!!
- Lynda (10/5): - Amazing property! Stunning acreage and beautiful suite. The dogs loved the forest. Hiking trails abound. Breakfast was great! Beth and Mark are wonderful hosts! We will be back!
- Teresa (10/5): - Wonderful setting, clean and comfortable, great breakfast, friendly owner.
- Gregory (10/5): - This place is magical. A scenic 30 minute drive from Eugene, it’s so peaceful, well done. Host is amazing. A joy to be here.
- Sarah (10/5): - Beutiful peaceful surroundings in a custom built B&B that has a rich history. Built from the very trees you are surrounded by. The craftsmanship alone is worth the stay. The owners go above and beyond to keep it clean, beautiful and inviting. Its high end meets cozy. Perfect for nature lovers.
- Lueken (10/5): - Lovely B&B with a kind and engaging host.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing, worth it - It was absolutely amazing, well worth the money for the breakfast alone. Much less the beautiful, secluded home. 10/10 would recommend.
As my five year old daughter put it, "I give it 10 hundred stars"
- Brian (10/5): - The owner and host bath greeted us upon our arrival which was unique Pleasant hard to find those three words apply to everything that we saw this bed and breakfast among others like amazing perfect I don't even know where to there's a map of the USA on the wall and there's hundreds of pins literally hundreds and notes all over the wall from people just gushing like I'm about to okay hands down it's the nicest place I've ever stayed...period...ever....built by Beth's husband lovingly built sculpted incredible property made from wouldrepurposed from the property and it is so incredible that the pictures do not do it justice they couldn't there's just a feel about this place it just feels right even if you don't have anything to do in the area just go there to stay and then report back here that I was absolutely right I miss Beth throws down the best breakfast you're going to have ever see what I'm saying I'm gushing thank gosh about this I must thank you Miss Beck you
- Michael (10/5): - This is a spectacular bed & breakfast, perhaps the nicest I have ever stayed in. From the moment of arrival, we were made to feel welcome and the inn itself is gorgeous. Outstanding wineries are within a 10 minute drive and the breakfasts provided are wonderful. A very unique and romantic place. Highly recommended!
- Lih Jen (8/5): - It is a nice log home. But I hope the headboard has some sort of stopper to prevent the pillow keep falling over.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wow. We had absolutely no idea what to expect, and this still exceeded our expectations. The room was stunning, with a beautiful patio. The location is unreal, and you are surrounded by trees and wildlife. Breakfast was phenomenal. We will be back.
- Lynne (10/5): Restful oasis - Lanzarotta Bed and Breakfast is a lovely, secluded, upscale, restful oasis. Beth and Mark created this special bed and breakfast with all sorts of beautiful woodwork and special touches. Beth is an excellent hostess and made me feel very welcome. Her breakfast was delicious. Travelers should note that the B&B is located about 10 miles out of town. Best to drive to Creswell and then on to the inn. Exit 162 might be shorter, but it was a windy road and had road construction. Unless you book dinner reservations at the local winery, get dinner in town before driving to the B&B or bring a picnic lunch to eat on the beautiful patio.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The best!!!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beth, the owner/host made us feel special and cherished. The property is enchanting and the stay was incredible. I will stay here again and recommend it to everyone I know. This place is a beautiful gem off the beaten path that is truly special.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The cleanliness of this bed and breakfast is immaculate!! Beth was so friendly, the temperpedic bed was comfy, and there were TWO wireless chargers! Breakfast was delicious!! This place is excellent, and my husband and I cannot wait to stay again! Beautiful surroundings and friendly service.
Make sure you have a gate code before you get there! We TMobile users didn't have service at the bottom of the hill.
Cannot recommend this place enough!!
- Katharine (10/5): Lanzarotta Magic - This house and rooms are magical and the huge back patio with hand-made furniture is enchanting. I haven't relaxed so much in a long time. The bed and accommodations were very comfortable and elegant. Beth is a wonderful, warm person and made a wonderful breakfast for us. It was an amazing visit and I'm sure we will return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything is unique about this property!! A hidden jewel nestled in the forest. The clean crisp air, beautiful setting with only the sound of birds singing in the distance make this place paradise.
The Yew Room is rustic in design and spacious. Very tastefully appointed and has all high end amenities. The hosts were more than accommodating for our late arrival. Highly recommend staying here!!
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful B&B, could not have asked for more! - This B&B was fabulous. Beth (owner) was a wonderful lady and set with us during breakfast and told us the story of thd B&B.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property and the host are amazing. There is so much attention to detail. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and spotless. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. We only spent one night here, but would definitely like to return when we’re back in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place! - We stayed in the upstairs Yew room, it has a very comfortable King bed and a nice shower with dual shower heads! Such a treat staying in the woods and waking up to the birds chirping. The breakfast was really good, and the host is very nice. Highly recommend this hidden paradise
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful B&B!!! - A truly unique place run by especially caring hosts. The Yew Suite is just incredible - feeling as if you are in a treehouse surrounded by all the amenities you could want. Every little intricacy is well thought out and we continued to be amazed by the details throughout our stay.
- K (10/5): - Very friendly and thoughtful inn keepers. The property is gorgeous log home and my stay was very comfortable. The breakfast (pecan french toast casserole, potatoes and bacon) were DELICIOUS! I look forward to my next stay with them again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - really nice, first class all the way! would return, in fact we already plan to.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly and accessible owners. Private and quiet stay. Comfortable bed and bedding. Beautiful forest views as far as you can see. Excellent breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Dan (10/5): - Stayed in the "Yew" room and everything about the property was top notch. Amazing craftsmanship went into this building and it's worth a stay just to enjoy the magnificent ambiance both inside (quiet and peaceful) and out (with wall-to-wall views). Only thing better than the 5-star room is the friendliness and hospitality of the hosts, Mark and Beth. Awesome breakfasts as well! Certainly worth the drive.
- Cheryl (10/5): - My daughter and I stayed one night last week, and words cannot describe what a special place Beth and Mark have created here. They have thought of every detail to make your stay positively wonderful. Both food and rooms were fabulous, and i felt as if we were leaving friends after only staying a night. I hope we have the opportunity to return!
- Lori (10/5): - Absolutely loved our stay! Wish we had planned more time to stay at Lanzarotta. Mark and Beth were wonderful hosts. Mark’s breakfast was delicious and they gave us helpful tips for the rest of our trip. The place is beautiful and has a very tranquil atmosphere. It is a bit out of the way, but we’ll worth the drive. Highly recommended.
- Brian (10/5): Relaxing experience in a peaceful environment - Thr building and room was great, in a pretty, quite location. Excellent breakfast. It was about 30 minutes to Eugene.
