- Baylee (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was quite literally the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The only complaint I have is that the curtains didn’t close all the way to block out all the light. I don’t know if that’s common among Best Westerns as I’ve never stayed at one before, but there was a light pole right outside my window so it was too bright in my room to sleep for my liking.

- michellesF1163UB (10/5): Nice hotel - Newer, super nice hotel. Check in staff person was really nice. Plenty of parking. Breakfast area was set up well and had good seating and the food was good. Only one of the 2 elevators was working when we stayed, but it was fine. Only negative is the bathroom is very small in our king room (door almost touches toilet to open it... our bathroom door had an issue - it would only open part way, so if you are very big or needed a walker - it would have been an issue. I don't know if the door got wet on bottom in past and caused it to swell, but it needs some of bottom shaved off to open all the way up. Shower was a walk in with sliding doors - no tub and had a shelf for shampoo etc. dryer worked well, good power/dried hair fast. Our king room was very spacious. Plenty of plug ins for charging phones/watches. Hotel is just up the street from a great restaurant called Flat Creek. We received a coupon for it at check in. Was great food. recommend both this hotel and the restaurant.

Very disappointed in the process, Sadly very disorganized. I booked our room, received confirmation email but when we got there to check in we were told they could not find the reservation, 20 min later it was located. Then we left to go park and get luggage and we were met at door and told there was a mix up and we were given wrong room. Ok, it happens. Gave us correct room and new key cards. Enter room and it is a king room not 2 queen which I reserved. I called front desk and asked if there was a change and was this the right room. I was told yes and not a problem. I proceeded to change to take a shower and a knock on the door....yep they screwed up again. We were told we were given wrong room again. They then gave us new key card and another new room down the hall. In less than 1 hour we were given 2 wrong rooms and finally the 3rd room we were given was correct. This is very poor management, training or something. We paid a crazy $170.00 for 1 night stay. Disappointed, irritated and would not recommend. Maybe comp the room? Offer a discount? Something? Not a thing! .

- alexissA418OJ (10/5): Must Go To - By far the best Best Western I've been to and I travel a lot and we stay at the hotels a lot not too sure and her name was Ashley but the front desk representative that was there when we checked in was the best representative I've ever come across we came in got dressed for a wedding we're leaving out it was storming she stopped us at the door and gave us her umbrella to use for the day until we returned I don't know about you guys but I know that is by far the courteous the most considerate and the most caring customer service anyone can receive the hotel was amazing clean no complaints anywhere all the staff including the housekeepers all the front desk Representatives everyone were amazing when I say I would give this a thousand star rating I most definitely would I have no complaints I can't wait to see you guys again and again this was the best stay I've had in a long time.

- David (8/5): Unable to sleep due to the noise - This is a nice, clean, new property but we were not able to get a good night's sleep either of the 2 nights of our stay because of teens and preteens running through the halls screaming much of the night. When we booked our room, little did we know that the hotel was primarily booked with hundreds of kids on some sort of youth trip. Overall, they were well behaved, but many of them chose to stay up throughout the night, running through the halls screaming. Neither the hotel staff nor the leaders of the group made them stop. When I complained to the hotel desk clerk in the morning, she mumbled something and said a quiet "sorry", but nothing else. If we stay again, I will check with the hotel to see if it will be filled with another teen retreat!

The bed was starting to sag (memory foam). It didn’t bother my husband, but I have back problems. Also, the vent on the AC unit cannot be redirected, which made it a bit uncomfortable for sleeping.
- Athena53 (10/5): Good Freebie Stay - I had a church-related meeting in Bolivar and used points from the Best Western program to pay for the stay. I typically use another chain but there was none in the area. This is why you should join ALL the programs! The hotel is convenient to the highway but fare enough away that road noise is minimal. Everything in the hotel looked new. Breakfast included a lot of good selections- sausage, eggs and potatoes the morning I was there, as well as the usual oatmeal, waffles and breads. Gym equipment looked brand new as well but there was only one of each piece of equipment so if someone was on the item you wanted you had to choose something else. The elliptical trainer displayed an error message which I could not reset by unplugging the unit and plugging it in again, but since it worked I was able to use it anyway- just used my watch to log the workout. Good stay overall.

We asked for extra towels and they were promptly delivered. We especially liked the outside patio where we spent an evening socializing with other friends staying at the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

- Michael (6/5): It was an average 1 night hotel stay. - Good Nice Breakfast. Distance from room to elevator, and appearance of facility. Beds were very hard, pillows way too soft, not good truck & trailer parking, and no fast food nearby.

- Gregory (10/5): - We always stay here when we visit family in Bolivar, Missouri. We would never choose anywhere else. The place is awesome!
- Lisa (2/5): - I hurt.myaelf on Property. I was in shower and the buiilt in plaster shelf that you put Toiletries on can out of wall and broke completly in half and fell on my wrist and ankle. Tried making 3 back to back emergency calls to front desk for help and No one picked up. I believe im going too hire an attorney and sue Best westetn plus in Bolivar Missouri.
- Judith (6/5): - The location is great. They don’t clean your room they told me on third day but I was there four days and they did not clean. I had to ask twice to before they took out my trash and gave me a fresh towel.
- Natalie (6/5): - I looked forward to using gym advertised. The elliptical machine had an out of service sign. I went to use treadmill. This treadmill wouldn’t work also. Asked the staff and they said that was broken also. Only recumbent bike worked, but that is hard on my hip so not able to exercise. Also, the room cards kept deactivating. Two times we had to go to front desk, to have both cards reactivated. Staff was on break with sign up so had to wait 15 minutes to have them working again.

- arcoverdell (4/5): ESE animals not Welcome - Dirty room and unfriendly to ESE Service Animals. I found popcorn, jelly bellies and Doritos under the bed. I cleaned up a spot of white gravy, or I was hoping it was a spot of white gravy by the bed. Then after I checked in I was told not to come back with my emotional support animal because they do not allow cats even when you have papers since this hotel is privately owned. I would find a different hotel to stay in the next time I come to town . If you are a disabled veteran or a disabled person that has a service animal of some sort, I would personally find a different hotel to stay in also, because the management and the owners do not want people like us at their hotel.

- Christine (10/5): Exactly what we needed. - Location was perfect - Aldi, Walmart, SBU, and eateries all within a short walk. Clean and convenient. Will definitely stay here again if coming back to Bolivar.
