- Erin (8/5): Ebisuholic leverages good location but sadly didn't wow us. - The breakfast was surprisingly delicious and we enjoyed all of the little amenities and cold brew coffee on-demand when we were adjusting to the timezone. The location is good with easy access to trains and walkable to other neighborhoods. I really liked the pajamas. The staff didn't seem as knowledgeable as we might like or expect at the price point. They struggled to help us book a dinner reservation preferring that we use tabelog. A few staff members were downright unpleasant right away, never giving us a chance - perhaps because we didn't speak Japanese very well. I understand that we are foreign but we were always polite and humble. We absolutely hate the whole Ace Hotel picture-view shower, how needlessly weird. If this is romantic, it's news to me. We heard Tokyo hotels are small, but the bathroom was easily the size of the bedroom, which isn't a great use of space. Generally, we just didn't have a lot of places for our stuff, lacked hangers in the open closet area. Weird dust on things.

- Brigitte (8/5): Sympathique séjour dans un hôtel à taille humaine, idéalement situé dans un super quartier. - Hôtel idéalement situé dans un quartier très agréable, animé tout en étant calme, plein de cafés, de bons petits restaurants, de petites boutiques. Les lits étaient très confortables. L’accueil à notre arrivée n’était pas chaleureux et on nous a proposé de payer un supplément pour pouvoir prendre possession de nos chambres 30 minutes avant l’heure prévue de check-in alors qu’elles étaient déjà prêtes. Cela nous a donné une première impression mitigée mais au final, nous avons été satisfaits de choisir cet hôtel et certains membres du personnel que nous avons vus par la suite étaient plus agréables.

Design delle stanze curato e contemporaneo, che allieta la vista al rientro dopo una giornata di cammino. Amenities molto ricche e generose, così come bevande e leggeri snack a disposizione 24h. Colazione aperta dalle 7.00 am, ottimo orario Polvere massiccia (dovuta dall’utilizzo di moquette nelle camere) non piacevole. Personale un po’ freddo (anche se puntuale e presente)

- Beth (10/5): A perfect base for a first trip to Tokyo - Location is ideal - Ebisu is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku. Our room was perfect - great amenities, clean, comfortable and a wonderful view which was an unexpected bonus. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I didn’t have any breakfast so can’t comment but I loved the little touches such as the sheet masks, bath salts & teas in the reception area available to guests. Thanks for a lovely stay. I’d recommend this place to friends and family. Lifts can be a little slow. Could do with perhaps slightly larger towels in the room. But really nothing particularly heavy!

Rooms squishy but standard for tokyo - Absolutely phenomenal location for exploring Tokyo, ebisu itself is a charming area, maybe not alot going on but it's perfect as a base, particularly for people that don't want to be overwhelmed. Super short distance to the train station ⛽ Rooms small, shower and facilities fantastic. Shower and bathroom probably takes up a bit too much space but nonetheless it's fantastic for a stay you will be using as a base. 🗾👍 Breakfast was mid but that's fine, the amount of free amenities make up for it.

- Bai (4/5): Awful and dirty - I really dislike this hotel. 1) My room is on the 3rd floor, and there is a strong smell of barbecue smoke inside because there is a barbecue restaurant downstairs. I checked some reviews and found that the hotel has been claiming since 2014 that they are renovating the ventilation system, but the issue still hasn't been resolved. 2) The room is very unclean, especially the bathroom. The toilet and sink have visible black stains that have accumulated over the years. 3) I booked this room almost two weeks in advance through Booking.com for nearly $200 per night. This room is not worth the price.

My only minor complaint is the bathroom's positioning relative to the bed. The light from the bathroom shines directly into the sleeping area, which can be disruptive at night. Aside from that, the room is fantastic. However, the true highlight was the exceptional service. Every single staff member I encountered—six people in total throughout the day—was proactive, friendly, and genuinely helpful. For example, when my contact lens case was accidentally discarded during room cleaning, I notified reception; within five minutes, they had purchased a replacement and delivered it to my door. The staff consistently went above and beyond, making for a truly seamless stay.

Great staff, very helpful and accommodating. Nice to have the option for some breakfast too. Rooms are quite small by western standards, but they are well appointed.

- Juho (8/5): Nice hotel at the heart of Ebisu - Very clean, neat and nice and small hotel in the heart of the funky Ebisu district. The room was nice size for Tokyo standard, with a comfy double bed and a very good size bath & shower room. The sink was inside the actual room. Very quiet and well lit, as the window is pretty much the size of the whole wall. Helpful staff and a great location, less than 5 minutes from Ebisu JR station. Breakfast could be way better. The selection is very basic and everything is served from paper cups and plates. I understand the space is limited, but there could be a bit more investment in this...:) Also, in the beginning of my stay it took a while before the WiFi connection in my room started to work properly. Once it got going, it did work very well then the whole stay.

- Charles (8/5): Quirky lodgings in one of the better bedroom communities of Tokyo - The location couldn’t be beat and gorgeous floor to ceiling windows that could be cracked open were nice. The room was designed oddly with a massive, space wasting bath room, a tiny toilet room and a sink for your washing and brushing located in the bedroom. Also strange was no other bed options other than two twins pushed together. Not deal killers but just slightly inconvenient.

The room was small (we were out practically all day so a small room is fine), clean & comfortable. It is up a small hill from Ebisu station, something to note after a long day walking. Breakfast looked just ‘ok’ but we didn’t eat at the hotel given such choice in Tokyo so can’t say more.

- Paul (10/5): - Stayed 10 days in August, where temperatures were 30 to 35 degrees, each day. Air con in hotel was good and also in the rooms. Comfortable stay, breakfast albeit basic was good enough to set you up before you went out for the day. Coffee machine, also cold coffee with/without milk and anpple juice were available throughout the day, along with toiletries , razors etc. Beds are comfortable and the hotel was in quiet location, but easy access to metro station, although the hotel is part way up a hill. Shower and bathroom facilities are very good, with a blind on the outside, of the shower room. Like most Tokyo hotels the rooms can be on the small side, however me and my son, found the superior Hollywood twin room, more than adequate. Highly recommended and would stay there again

- Mochi Monday (9/5): A comfortable choice in a quiet neighborhood one stop from Shibuya. - Location was great for my visit (though there is a small hill to walk between hotel and Ebisu Station); Ebisu Station has good accessibility with multiple lines, and is a much smaller station than Shibuya. Nice walk to explore Daikanyama, and also one stop from Nakameguro (or you can walk). Lots of food, drink and konbinis nearby. Room and bed was very comfortable and had all that I needed for a 10-night stay. Shower pressure and temperature was great. Mini-fridge and free water was appreciated. Freebies in lobby were nice to sample, and also the espresso machine and iced drinks in lobby was convenient. Included self-serve breakfast was also appreciated. Soundproofing in rooms also seemed good (unless I just happened to be on an emptier floor). Staff was efficient and professional. Nothing; I will stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo.
