- Willy (9/5): Bijzondere beleving - Een heel bijzondere locatie.

- Jiří (10/5): - Amazing and very kind Erica and her husband. Perfect vacation. Hihgly recommended. Thank you for everything 😊😊😊
- Errico (10/5): I would definitely return to Villa Al Piano - the peaceful setting - it's the perfect place to relax and de-stress. The swimming pool is large, clean, and well maintained. Friendly and very helpful staff on hand to advise where to go out to eat locally and where to visit. This place, and Lastra A Signa, is perfect for a quiet break or as a base from where to travel to other parts of Tuscany. It's 10 mins walk from the train station with services to Florence in one direction, and Pisa, Livorno & Grosseto in the other not much, a noisy chicken nearby wakes up early, closing the window shuts out all noise
- Mihaela (10/5): Exceptional - Interesting B&B Lack of air conditioner
- Anna (10/5): Perfect end to a fabulous trip - It was like an oasis of Italy at its best on the outskirts of the airport Nothing to dislike. Highly recommend
- Ioan (10/5): Nice host. Very helpful. Everything was at the best! -
- Raphael (9/5): Superb -
- Ghermandi (9/5): Lovely place, lovely staff - The hotel is located inside a historical villa and has a nice pool. The staff is incredibly helpful and gave us a lot of info about nearby restaurants and how to reach Florence and other nearby cities. The position (nearby the motorway access, but isolated and quiet) is strategic if you want to visit multiple cities in northern Tuscany. The rooms were a little cold, and the breakfast is not served in the villa, but in a nearby bar (you’ll need a car to reach it), so slightly uncomfortable.
- Cherie (9/5): Nice place to stay and unwind - The home was beautiful and the room was great! The hosts were very nice. They provided transportation to and from the train station upon arrival The fact that unless you had transportation the walk from the train station was terribly long. Breakfast was not served at the establishment, you had to get to the other side of town to a shop.
- Louise (9/5): Fantastic place to stay with lovely pool and the owners were exceptional. So so accommodating, best hosts we have ever h - Stunning property with a lovely couple and dog who run it. Great area as we were able to jump on a train easily and visit other cities. The restaurants in the town are also great value for money. The only fault is that there is no air conditioning in the room. We didn’t realise this when we booked so was our own fault really but as a Scottish couple we couldn’t handle the heat at night time🤣 the room does come with a small fan which was helpful!
- Toni (10/5): Perfect rural stay close to Florence! - Everything! Property is 15 min walk to station with hourly trains to Pisa & Florence. Huge pool, gorgeous dog, really peaceful and rural area next to a town with bars & restaurants. Erika & Francesco were really helpful and friendly. Nothing
- Angelo (10/5): Exceptional - The peace and quiet of the location was perfect after a long day working. The pool and garden area is a relaxing place. Kind offer of a glass of wine by the pool with a snack was most welcomed Walk to breakfast and evening meal
- Kul (10/5): Exceptional - Villa is beautiful, with big garden and really nice swimming pool. Privet parking space is inside.
Rooms are big and comfortable, clean and new. Bathrooms are medium size and have everything what you need.
Quiet area. Breakfast is 6 minutes from villa and with your coupons you can enjoy something different every day.
Walking distance to restaurants. I like everything about this place.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - The service provided by Erika was just amazing, she is so friendly, helpful and kind! Definitely recommend her place if you are looking for a quite beautiful place just outside of Florence. Nothing
- Lewis (10/5): Great property, price and host - Room was exactly as described/pictured. High ceilings and very clean. All required amenities including shared fridge to store cold water. Lovely outdoor area and breakfast at the nearby Menchetti's was fantastic. Erika was an incredible host and couldn't do enough for us. Would stay again - thank you
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frances (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Malin (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great stay, thank you! :)
The villa is cozy and the hostess was really lovely. Upon arrival she gave us tips about the area and told us how to get to Florence by train. The villa is a great base to get out and explore Florence and even Pisa.
- Tara (10/5): Wonderful stay in calm village with incredible hosts - The kindest hosts.
I enjoyed being in this town, loved it, and made daily trips into Florence
- Raffaele (10/5): Exceptional - Cordialità staff e bellezza location
- Iulia (9/5): Superb - Super nice hosts and really helpful.
The location is near the train station( train to Florence 16 min) and you can reach it by foot.
Everything was clean, great value for the money.
Thank you.
- Malcolm (10/5): Great place to stay - Beautiful house with pool, convenient if you want to take the train to Florence
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): Very peaceful home - Breakfast was a mile down the road and i loved it. We went during a heat wave, so this would be different if we didn’t. We were very hot. There was no air condition and there was a refrigerator thank God but it wasn’t a freezer so we bought some ice but it didn’t last we had to have yetis and Cold towels. This was a no-fault. The hosts problem they were amazing. The house was beautiful the view was amazing from the windows. The pool was great. We were running around a lot. I wish that it had a little bit longer hours just because of the heat wave. They brought us wine when we arrived at the pool with a snack. They answered all her questions . It was five minutes from the train station. She gave us explicit instructions on how to take the train and advice on where to go. They where friendly and gave us our space. They have an adorable dog. The house itself is also very beautiful and welcoming. So the only thing I didn’t like was the heat the host couldn’t help that but access to some cold ice water or a freezer to make ice would be a great addition and a few xtra pool hours. I would stay again it’s so charming.
- Danielle (2/5): No AC no ice no where near Florence - Nothing Two train stops out of Florence in a run down industrial section. No air conditioning should be noted right in the beginning of the description of the property. At least offer ice or water or extend pool hours when it’s 100 degrees out. Was more like a hostel then a b and b. Breakfast isn’t even offered on premise must drive to gas station area with coupon.
- Andrew (9/5): Road trip - Staff were so helpful. Bottles of cold water and sparking wine on arrival on a very hot day. Info for public travel into Florence printed off and a restaurant booked for the evening.
Excellent security in rural location.
Lovely pool area Air conditioning was needed.
- Christian (9/5): It is extremely hot in summer months in Florence so be prepared for that. Overall a lovely place with lovely owners that - A really nice pool and the sweetest owners that made us drinks by the pool. So nice!!
- Nadeem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Great location for access to Florence and Pisa by train.
Large pool in lovely gardens.
Very generous and caring hosts.
- Herkko (9/5): The villa is cozy and the pool and garden are amazing - The service was helpful and kind. The villa is cozy and cinematic and we enjoyed the garden with old trees and sounds of birds and grasshoppers. We enjoyed the pool a lot and it helped to cool down in the hot weather. The apartment was clean and comfortable. There are lot of good restaurants in the village a bit over 1 km away from the villa. The distance to the village and to railway station is quite long by feet and the train leaves only about once in an hour. For us it wasn't problem because we enjoyed the view in the countryside.
- Toby (1/5): Unfriendly host, terrible rooms - AVOID AT ALL COSTS - nothing After complaining about the appalling stay at this establishment and being verbally abused by the owner, i am not surprised at her vicious response.
I am shocked at her actually lying, as we did arrive at Florence airport and certainly did not threaten her.
A very upsetting experience ,a I have never encountered such an angry, aggressive human being like this, she must be unwell. I strongly advise to avoid staying here at all costs!
Property response:
Good morning, I was waiting for your useless review because you threatened us in front of a camera and other people that you would NOT VERY INTELLIGENT Of you and regarding intelligence Your daughter like her.
I EXPLAIN TO THE READERS:
after arriving two hours late you also demanded to stay longer the next morning for free... Why? Who is she ? ...and when he asked us for tea at 11pm!?
1 - Your plane landed in Pisa and not in Florence, at 19:15 and it takes an hour to get to us, having checked in before 20:00, you would still have arrived late (luggage included)
Why didn't you book a hotel? maybe he can't afford it...?
2- It's not the baggage's fault because she came to us with the rental car so she wasted time for the car that she had certainly already booked and therefore aware of arriving later than expected!
3- We wrote him messages (with a copy of the reservation) which he said he didn't read in front of the camera at the counter, during check-in.
4- We tried to call you 5 times only to find out that you put a landline number..(it speaks for itself) plus booking emails to look for it during its "delay"...
5- LATE check in/out are paid and have been charged
6- He WANTED two bottles of water which he didn't pay for and was charged for.
7- We are a B&B Declared at the time of booking, EVERYONE CAN SEE IT
- Sofia (8/5): Beautiful property, room for improvement on facilities. - The gardens are amazing, beautiful property, very tasteful decor. The host offered to pick and drop us from and to the train station. The room was clean and spacious The room had tonnes of mosquitoes, Erica should have put the mosquito killer spray etc in the room before our arrival. We slept the first night and got bitten very badly. My friend had 22 bites and I had 8….had to go to the chemist to buy soothing cream for 13 Euros. That really spoilt our stay. There was no facility to warm up food or make tea or coffee despite a kitchen in the property that is not for guest use. The property is in a village that is beautiful but no restaurant or cafes nearby. There are only one or two in the village around 20 min walk. Considering the property is remote, the host should allow tea, coffee making in the kitchen. I understand she may not want people to cook there but just warming the food up, make tea etc. is not too much to ask and is a standard in any property. We came back from Bologna after 9pm, and turns out there isn’t a taxi we can order. The village doesn’t have a taxi service. The property is 15 min walk from the train station.
- Simon (7/5): Great place when visiting Florence - All the charm of a Tuscan villa in an elegant unique format.
Lovely pool to soak the bones after a hot day in Florence.
Easily accessible with train, providing much better cost-effectiveness, compared to city-center Florence No aircon & lots of mosquitoes.
While charming, it needs refurbishment to bring it to expected modern standards
- Ilan (8/5): Nice and reasonable price - A nice and clean quiet place, the hostess is very kind Breakfast not at the place, is at a gas station 900 meters away using coupons from the hotel of 8 euros per guest
- Christie (9/5): Superb - The villa was even more beautiful than the pictures and our hosts were incredibly kind and thoughtful.
It was the perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet but still an easy train ride to Florence.
- Nigel (9/5): Superb -
- Scott (9/5): Wonderful! - Beautiful venue and room. Quiet and restful. Erika picked us up from the train station and transported us back when we left; this was not an included service but was done as a kindness. Thank you, Erika! This is advertised as a BnB but the breakfast is off site. This is fine but might be disclosed as the last review was dated 2019 which raved about the breakfast at the venue. That wouldn't have influenced our choice but it would have been good to know
- Rainer (7/5): Good - Spacious room and comfortable room, very friendly staff. Nice surroundings of the Villa, if one want to enjoy down time at the pool. Secured parking. Breakfast is a Voucher for a nearby Menchetti - they have a big variety of Sandwiches and cakes + coffee. But the equivalent of the voucher gives you only one sandwich and a coffee. Not bad per se, bu if you need more you pay extra and you won't be happy if you like cereals and stuff for breakfast (like me).
The Menchetti is 10 minutes walk, and exactly on the opposite side of the town than the station.
- Romainbrault (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandie (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely old house with a feeling of being in the countryside, though the town is accessible very close by.
- Sandra (8/5): Loved the area so close to everything needed - Brilliant for catching the train to most places £5 round trip to Florence per person.
The room spacious & very clean..
The garden looked delightful but no where to sit in it but we presumed because we arrived before the swimming pool opens in May.
The reception was great very attentive should you need anything Only one seat in the room. If you wanted to go back to put your feet up you could only lie down on the bed.
The tiles (very beautiful) were a challenge to walk around the room with an attempt to not be noisy. We tried out best 😊
- Sigaitsev (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (8/5): Very good - Good breakfast. Large bedroom. Good shower. Fridge for general use. Quiet location at night. Good restaurant in easy (flat) walking distance - in old part of town. Good base for visiting Florence - lots of free parking at main (Signa) station. Good base for 2-3 nights Quite a walk to the railway station (if planning to visit Florence by train). Need a car to get to the main station for best choice of trains. Saw pool but didn’t use it ( no towels!)
- Catherine (9/5): Beautiful stay in Tuscany - Beautiful house and grounds with beautiful furnishings, large rooms, lovely pool - all round class.
Very tranquil setting - would recommend. It's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle if city. - yet so close :-) Everything was great to be honest.
Just be aware that the walk to the train station is not long but can be a little challenging with a suitcase as the foot path along the country road is patchy.
- Bálint (1/5): Disappointment - The pool Generally people spend here only a few days, but we spent 10 nights in this place in the first 10 days of August.
I already knew that this will not be my best vacation before a week of our arrival because the only one thing what was in the interest of the owner is: the payment method. She was only concerned about the payment but nothing else.
We were paying for two rooms for 3 people. The rooms had the same price but while my room looked like an eastern european prison, the other had a huge balcony and a much better interior. (there are no pictures of the room for a reason btw). This is not the worst thing, but the dust and the total absence of the celaning is concerning. The celaning lady came every day, but she do almost nothing. I had to buy cleaning tissues to make my toilet clean in every two days and also I had to buy myself toilet paper and shower gel/shampoo becuase she didn't refilled it.... The water couldnt flow down in any of the sink when I arrived, I had to fix it by myself also. The biggest problem as already others indicated as well is the absence of the AC. On the outside there were 38-45 degrees at the daytime, and we couldn't sleep any. Other guests were leaving the apartment because of this reason as well, they couldnt sleep at night. In exchange they put a 10€ fan to the rooms, they are circulating the hot air.... The first day we opened the door of our rooms and the windows as well to make the room cool down as much as we can, but the owner rushed up to our rooms and shutted the door, while shouted the "others want to relax here" in a very questionable style.... I read a lots of review of this place after we left the place, and on Tripadvisor and Booking I also saw that I am not alone with the opinion that this women is not compatible to run a place like this.
I understand that this place is a B&B, but the price is like a 3-4 star's hotels' price with much better services and higher quality in every aspect.
