• Kateryna (7/5): - The common dining area is very cozy and the kitchen are very well equipped. Very easy self-check in. And the guy working there is very nice and friendly, doing a great job. The rooms are super basic hostel type of rooms which in my opinion are overpriced. Plus you have to remove bed sheets by yourself before check out. I stayed in Iceland at the better hotels with better rooms and private bathroom for less money. Currently there are some constructions in front of the hostel so sea view is obstructed.

• Jovana (9/5): - Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in einer netten Unterkunft, die insgesamt einen sehr positiven Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Die Einrichtung war gemütlich und geschmackvoll gestaltet, sodass man sich direkt wohlfühlen konnte. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den einen oMitarbeiter, der ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit war. Trotz eines Mitarbeiteressens wurden wir herzlich integriert und sogar eingeladen, typisch isländische Speisen mitzuprobieren – eine sehr besondere und authentische Geste, die unseren Aufenthalt zusätzlich bereichert hat. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

• Cedric (10/5): Our stay at Hafaldan HI Hostel - Heel leuke hostel! We hebben het naar onze zin gehad. Omwille van kans op het zien van het noorderlicht vroegen we een andere kamer en hebben deze zonder problemen gekregen. De host was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. De kamers zijn zoals afgebeeld en de gemeenschappelijke ruimte, vooral de keuken en eetruimte, zijn heel gezellig ingericht. Niets

• Julia (8/5): Tolle Unterkunft in einem etwas abgelegenen, aber wunderschönen Fjord! - Gemütliche Einrichtung mit tollem Aufenthaltsbereich und gut ausgestatteter Küche. Zwei Duschen in einem Zimmer - nicht einzeln abschliessbar. Zimmer war recht hellhörig.

• Evian Hsu (8/5): 舍監沒有清楚標示卻愛兇人 - 1.共用廚房（但是空間不太夠）（一群台灣遊客七八人就擠了六個人在裡面七手八腳搞得水洩不通） 2.接電話的員工友善，我臨時要提前一天入住，剛好還有位子，她就不囉嗦直接答應免去任何流程 住在共用廚房旁邊的管理員很兇，一直唸要人家洗碗後歸位，問題是他們也沒有擦碗巾，大家都覺得先放在瀝乾架上比較合理...同樣，一直罵垃圾分類沒有做好，但是標示很亂，大家搞不清楚就開始失控亂丟，源頭是標示不夠明確吧

• Adriana (10/5): Uma casa islandesa - Ficamos 13 dias na Islândia, foi nossa segunda vez no país. É capaz deste ter sido nosso hostel preferido! O lugar é muito simples, mas tem uma autenticidade que nos encantou. As paredes de madeira, os móveis antigos, a beleza das vistas da montanha e do mar! Quem gosta de um visual mais moderno e prefere muitas comodidades procure outro local. Mas vai perder uma oportunidade única de se sentir numa verdadeira casa islandesa.

Gacias a su sala de estar, que, es comodisima, pasamos un dia fantástico de descanso y relajación. La cocina muy limpia con todo lo necesario y las vistas para comer y relajarte son fantásticas. The owner was responsive to our request to have two seperate beds, and solved the issue instantly including new bed linnen. The hostel is quite noisy with very thin walls and people passing by on the corridor, a few inches away from the corner where my bed was placed. The shower did not seem very clean.

• Elena (8/5): Un’ottima posizione nei fiori dell’est - Una zona living e cucina molto piacevoli e attrezzati, la struttura è datata ma piuttosto ben tenuta e suggestiva, la posizione è senz’altro ottima! Le porte delle camere sono un po’ rumorose e le pareti sottili, questo implica che si sentono parecchi rumori se si ha il sonno leggero, per il resto tutto bene
• Dacko (9/5): A peaceful and comfortable retreat, made memorable by the stunning fjord view. - This is a fairly typical off-the-beaten-path simple youth hostel, but it has a welcoming atmosphere that makes it ideal for a one- or two-night stay while traveling through Iceland. The real highlight of this place is a very cosy kitchen and dining area with a beautiful view of the fjord. While some features are a bit dated, the space is overall very comfortable and well organized.

Raam aan de parkeerkant. Zat geen klem aan ofzo dus maar dicht. Zeer gehorig. Op zich verder prima: ik voelde me er gewoon niet fijn.

• Laura (4/5): Wouldn’t return - The place was tidy, with fresh towels and clean linens. The property seemed very old, with plywood-paneled walls and linoleum flooring throughout. It’s hard to justify the high cost given what’s provided. The room offered minimal facilities and storage.
• Bruno (8/5): Good price and location - Price, Location, Shower (shared though) Walls are tiny so can be noisy and there was a loud Music coming from the host room at 6:30am. I guess it was the staff, different than the manager who owns the property in booking.com, and maybe it was because other guests were also noisy until late at that night I stayed? Anyways, very weird such attitude but luckily I left very early in the morning.

• Daniel (5/5): Straight up bizarre - Nice to have a little sink in our private room A ton of rules set by the host, which he himself doesn’t even follow - quiet time rule from 23:00-07:00, but host puts music on very loudly at 6am to wake up the whole hostel. A very antisocial man. Ridiculous that this experience, especially since it’s a hostel, cost us 140 euros
• Daniel (7/5): Cozy common room - The location is cool and convenient if you have a car, and the property itself has cozy atmosphere. The common area and kitchen are warm, inviting, and full of character- a really pleasant place to relax and meet other travelers. There’s also a lovely view over the harbor.. I’m not the type to nitpick, and I actually enjoy writing positive reviews, but in this case, I'm sorry but I can't. Honestly, I think I was generous with the rating compared to what I got. Relative to the standard of every other place I’ve stayed at in Iceland (all together 7) , this one was a real disappointment. I booked a bed in a 4-bed dorm. The room was extremely cramped, had a strange smell, and the door didn’t close properly. every time it opened or shut, it made a loud, unpleasant creaking noise the wakes everyone in the room. The walls were thin, so every sound from outside carried straight in. The ladder to the upper bunks was very uncomfortable and felt unsafe to climb. On top of that, there was no sheltered outdoor space for smoking, which means if it’s raining and you want a cigarette, you literally need to stand outside with an umbrella. Individually these might sound like small issues, but together they added up to a frustrating and disappointing stay.

• Giacomo (7/5): - La struttura è a pochi passi a piedi dal "centro" cittadino, è dotata di tutti i servizi utili, compreso il locale lavanderia, la zona cucina molto accogliente e dotata di tutti gli strumenti necessari. Bagni e docce pulite. Camere abbastanza datate ma comunque comode. Unica pecca è che sono poco insonorizzate a causa delle porte veramente antiquate, e a causa dei soliti maleducati che fanno i fatti propri ben oltre l'orario del silenzio il sonno è stato difficile anche con i tappi per le orecchie!

Nach 2,5 Stunden Verzögerung und mangelhafter Kommunikation konnten wir das Zimmer dann doch beziehen. Für ein isländisches Hostel war der „Komfort“ auch nicht gegeben. Die Wände waren hauchdünn, sodass wir jedes Wort und jedes Schnarchen unserer Nachbarn verstehen konnten.

• Stefanelli (6/5): Sufficiente per una notte - Ostello con zona comune molto accogliente, cucina attrezzata (piano cottura, microonde, bollitore ) e ben fornita con a disposizione anche tè, zucchero sale caffè ecc. Presente Servizio di lavanderia con lavatrice e asciugatrice a pagamento. Abbiamo dormito in una stanza mista con 4 letti a castello: spazio ben distribuito. Ci sono solo 2 bagni per più di 6 stanze

• Thurid Josefin (6/5): In Ordnung, aber sehr hellhörig - Der Gemeinschaftsraum hatte eine tolle Aussicht, in der man schön sitzen konnte. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, sodass man problemlos kochen konnte. Das Hostel ist etwas abseits gelegen, aber man erreicht das Zentrum innerhalb von 5 Minuten. Grundsätzlich war das Hostel in Ordnung, aber die Zimmer waren ziemlich unansprechend gestaltet. Es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchte an einigen Stellen etwas Liebe. Über diesen Punkt kann man jedoch hinwegsehen. Was uns wirklich gestört hat, war die Hellhörigkeit in dem Gebäude. Die Wände sind gefühlt nur Deko und halten nichts an Lärm ab. Bei unserem Aufenthalt waren immer alle Zimmer belegt, sodass man sich nicht ungestört zurück ziehen konnte. Man hat immer alles von den anderen Leuten mitbekommen. Man hätte theoretisch an den Gesprächen im Nachbarzimmer teilnehmen können und auch das Schnarchen in der Nacht hat man mitbekommen. Wer also einen leichten Schlaf hat, nicht wirklich zu empfehlen. Ansonsten ist es wie gesagt völlig in Ordnung.

• Henrike (8/5): - Der Blick vom Speisesaal aufs Wasser ist traumhaft schön. Leider wurde Seyðisfjörður von zwei Kreuzfahrtschiffen angelaufen, die den ganzen Ort mit Touristen überschwemmten. Ein Schiff beschallte den Ort sogar mit lauter Musik. Das empfanden wir als sehr störend, aber dafür kann natürlich das Hostel nichts.

Really like the dining and living room area. beautiful view from the window you can see lake and mountain. There are some ongoing construction work nearby the lake, not noisy just didn't look as good as the picture.
