Guest Reviews
- Darrin (7/5): - Great place just needs a little updates. Just a few updates.
- Castro (10/5): -
- Sydney (1/5): Disappointed - Nothing met my expectation
- Tim (7/5): Good -
- Darrin (10/5): Great Stay - Very great place to stay. Everything went very well from start to finish. All good.
- Descoteaux (2/5): Would not recommend to any friends or family, maybe an enemy lol - Overall was very disappointed in the property. Cleanliness was a big problem, whole house could have used a good mop as our socks/feet were black just from walking around… about half the screens in the house were broken or ripped allowing an assortment of bugs and lizards into the home. The front door’s deadbolt did not work and the handle of the door was halfway falling off. We did really enjoy the location as it was a very short walk away from the main strip but far enough that it was nice and quiet. A/C’s were great in the bedroom but they didn’t do much of anything for the living room. The pictures you see in the ad are from at least 5 years ago as the property does not look much like that anymore (no hammock was a big disappointment too) bed’s were not great at all, as well as some stains on the bedding. There was also a lot of dirt and cobwebs on the walls and baseboards which tells me it hasn’t been seriously cleaned in a while. It is a very attractive price but depending on what your bare minimum is, this might not be for you…
- Ted (5/5): Good for a value place to stay. Need to update the photos so renters can manage expectations. - Large open and spacious sub-par mattresses and run-down appearance.
- Nur (1/5): Disappointing - I like nothing about the place. The place smelled moldy and stuffy. The pillows were disgustingly nasty. The two beds in one of the rooms were bed foam and my nieces felt as though they were sleeping on the wood of the bed and woke up with backaches. The couch was sunken in and we couldn’t sit on it. This place has potential with upgrades.
- Pål (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bacso (6/5): Enjoyed - Overall we liked the house, I've had worse rentals in Belize. The small beds are terrible, the mattress does not fit the bed. More like a junior bed. But we made it work. The house is large and was great for two couples. We enjoyed the space. We cooked a lot of meals, the kitchen is short on a few items, we left the items we bought for the next guest. The lighting is challenging but made us laugh finding the switches. The couch and chair in the living room are really bad. I know its difficult to get better used items in Belize, on an Island. We sat on them anyway. Maybe buy covers, of course they need padding. Clean covers would help. We all Loved the veranda's, sat there often. Very quiet and met people walking by. The salt air and humidity play havack with everything on the island, the plumbing in the house has challenges from the hard water, etc. The Management team was wonderful, responded to us very quickly. We locked ourselves out of the house 4 times, we apologized for than. It became a joke with management. Next time some one goes to Belize City, have a couple spare keys made, that would help for crazy tourist like us. Turned out to be just fine for what we expected, the rate was very good for two couples. We would return but would question a couple things mentioned above. "Keep Going Slow" Sand Flys and Mosquito's, there were several rain storms to draw them in. We put up a good fight to beat them down.
- Katherine (8/5): Very good - Nice location, not noisy. Very spacious apartment.
- Grogan (8/5): Very good -
- Luka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hubie (10/5): Very nice stay here, very comfortable and spacious rooms with a large indoor and outdoor area. Perfect for a group of fr - Was very spacious, very clean and very well equipped. The location was close to the Main Street of the island as well. The main room got extremely hot during the day, it could do with a proper AC unit similar to the bedrooms.
- Shizuyo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jazmin (7/5): Affordable short stay - Spacious, good kitchen facilities, AC works well in bedrooms, comfortable beds, plenty of drinking water provided. Front door is difficult to open, bathroom door always gets stuck, furniture is dated, main living/kitchen area has no AC and is virtually unbearable during the day as it gets insanely hot! No proper windows so there’s no way to block the heat out, also means noises from outside are loud and numerous small lizards came inside, ants all over kitchen if traces of food are left.
- Conneely (7/5): We had a relatively comfortable stay, lots of areas of improvement but it was fine for a few nights! - Very clean and spacious, beds were really big and comfortable and the e kitchen is fairly well equipped. The AC in the bedrooms and was good. Very limited comfortable seating, broken couch, very hot despite fans and ac, really needs better insulation (there are no panes on the windows and nothing to keep the heat out). It was also quite dark inside and we struggled to get natural lighting, and everything felt quite dated.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Superb -
- Mariah (8/5): We had a great time. - Great place with lots of space. Ac in bedrooms. Kitchen was well equipped. Hammock in front deck was cool. Very safe. Beds in the middle room could use replacing. The double mattress is worn out. Ice cube trays are broken. Knives need to be replaced.
- Shawn (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shameka (10/5): Family space - It was very spacious. I love the bed firm but still soft. Loved how we were able to park in the yard. I got locked in the bathroom about 5 different times until I started to leave the door unlocked.
- Mark (8/5): Good affordable AC option - This proved to be an affordable option for 5 of us who were looking for somewhere on the island with AC.
It's a large space with nothing more than the essentials. The space gets very warm without the AC on but the beds were comfy and better than the hostels on the island. Little further away from the centre than the main hostels on the island.
- Sawchuk (4/5): Disappointing - The location was great away from the busy area. We really did appreciated the good communication with host and her assisting with a golf cart.
We are seasoned travellers wuth minimal expectation and decided to pay more for what we thought was going be a great home-based for 4 days.
We chose a place with a kitchen so we could cook but there was no way we were utilizing this space. It was an unbearable 96+ degrees in the main part of house...no air conditioning in there and the only place to hang out would be your own room?
A renovation is required along with a deep clean, cracks could be filled around the sink window so the number of cockroaches would have a harder chance to get in. Pictures were clearly take many moons ago. The old couch and chair was sprung into action, alright.
The master bedroom did have an amazing king size bed. The other bedroom beds need immediate replacing.
We have visit Caye Caulker a few times before and really did like the location but when your paying that extra amount, it needs improvement.
- James (8/5): Very good -
