• Satu (10/5): - Majoittuminen oli helppoa ja mukavaa. Omistaja oli tosi ystävällinen ja kommunikaatio toimi hyvin. Ainoa miinus on uima-altaan sijainti ja aurinkotuolien puute
• Sven (2/5): - Alles in einem absolut abgewohnten Zustand, uns wurde viel Geld aus dem Zimmer geklaut (!), Inhaber und Manager an keiner Lösung interessiert, Einrichtungen kaputt, Waschbecken undicht, Klo eckelig, absolut dunkel mit kaum Licht, Pool dreckig, (Grün)Anlage teilweise nur noch Staub, keine Gäste in Restaurant oder Bar, Frühstück (Nasi Goreng) schmeckt matschig wie vom Vortag aufgewärmt, ein zweiter Kaffee nur gegen Extrarechnung, Zimmer voller Moskitos, Minibar ohne Inhalt (leerer Kühlschrank). Eine Komplettmodernisierung ist seit sicher 10 Jahren überfällig. Schade, da Gili Air sonst sehr schön ist.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Sweet spot on a beautiful island - We stayed 10 days at Bulan Madu. It was everything we needed. It is not a 5 star resort, but the bungalows are big, and the manager Adi and the rest of the crew was doing everything to accommodate our needs for more chairs, a small table to build lego on ect. They serve breakfast a la carte at the tables with the most wonderful view with sunrise over Lombok. Many restaurants just next (try unzipp for fresh fish and manta for tacos or go across the island to mama's pizza for sunset) You can go snorkeling right in front of the hotel (beautiful corals, turtles and fish). The pool is shared with the the diving center but it was no problem using it.
• Michael (8/5): Fantastisk beliggenhed og meget sødt personale - Fantastisk ø, og virkelig god beliggenhed hvor vi så havskildpadder hver dag få meter fra stranden hvor hotellet ligger. Det flinkeste personale jeg nogensinde har mødt. Hytten vi boede i var noget gammel og slidt, men beliggenheden og personalet opvejede de lidt ringe faciliteter.
• HANNA (8/5): - Our stay at Villa Bulan Madu was super relaxing, as there are only 5 villas on the property, which are set back from the road and beach. Our villa was absolutely huge, with a gorgeous wraparound verandah, and a cabana in the front garden. We loved the unique covered outdoor bathroom (the shower is uncovered) and having a lovingly prepared breakfast on the beachfront. The staff are so friendly and hospitable; be sure to see Eddy across the road for bike and snorkel hire, as well as tour bookings. If you want an authentic island escape, where you can snorkel off the beach and see giant turtles, consider this iconic Gili Air property!

• Jason (10/5): - Our stay was exactly what we expected. We knew we didn’t book a brand new 5star resort so we didn’t expect the 5 start service. However, being a small “boutique” place with only 6 private villas, we were welcomed like family. The villas are big, high 20 ft ceilings with aircon. Outdoor bathroom with soaps, shampoo and shaving kit provided. Mosquito nets accent the slightly firm but comfy beds. 3 choices of combination breakfasts are yours to choose from. Due to their current search for a head chef/cook, breakfast is the only meal available but full restaurant menu to resume very soon. Drinks at Dragon Bar were delicious and reasonable. Staff is very friendly and took it upon themselves to help organise our excursion and entertainment for the kids ie; fishing rods to fish off the dragon bar beachside patio! The pool is nice and refreshing. The spa is priced competitively with other spas on Island. As we visited in mid April, things were still pretty quiet on the island and would love to see the seats and villas at Villa Bulan Madu and Dragon Bar full. It wasn’t hard for our kids to convince us to stay here next time, and we will. Price is right, staff is great, 10min walk from port and we were treated very well. Thanks Stefan and staff!
• Johanna (8/5): - Vi hade en helt fantastiskt vecka! En liten resort med bara fem villor, vilket gjorde det väldigt personligt. Personalen var mycket vänlig och gjorde sitt yttersta för att vi skulle trivas. Rummet och omgivningarna städades varje dag, ibland flera gånger om dagen. Bra läge vid stranden med fina rev för snorkling, vi såg sköldpaddor i stort sett varje dag. Flera restauranger precis utanför hotellet. Rekommenderar att hyra cyklar för att utforska ön, blev överraskad över hur mycket den lilla ön har att erbjuda!

• Mika (10/5): Love - Amazing people with alot of love to the guests and the animals wich were roaming freely around the compound made our hearts melt. Really quiet during the night. Beautiful place to be at. The beach in front of the reception/dragon bar is a perfect spot to snorkel with turtels <3 And their Nasi goreng for breakfast was really tasty.
• Moulay Rachid (6/5): - I loved the atmosphere of the accommodation the most. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The owner of the place is lucky to have these staff members. They made our stay very much more pleasant. However, the Villa does need some maintenance. A simple couple of adjustments, and it would be much better. Like the quality of the internet, the waterpressure in the shower which was afwul. The pathway to the Villa is really nice, but not practical if you have a trolley. The boys carried our trolleys. I still would recommend to stay at this Villa because the atmosphere was relaxing and we really rested there. That means a lot to us.
• Hendrikus (4/5): - A very poor experience. First off: the personnel did the best they could. But the room was very dark, not very clean, and quite infested with mosquito's. The absolute worst thing: the door to the outside shower/bathroom could not be locked from the inside and we had a burglar. How is it possible to not have secure doors? We simply left the next day.
• Jacob (10/5): Amazing stay at Bulan Madu. - Had an amazing stay at Bulan Madu. Enjoyed every minute of it. Stayed for one week. Gili Air is a fantastic place, and staying at Bulan Madu made it even better. Staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived and all throughout our stay. Breakfast is great too. The villas are spacious, comfortable and clean. Snorkeling in the most beautiful turquoise water is just a few steps away. Saw turtles almost every day. Warmest recommendations. Would really love to come back again.

• Sandrea (6/5): - We rented a 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom villa for a family of 6 traveling together. The villas were not next to each other so inconvenient to be together. The property is older and in average condition. Villas were very dark inside. Staff was awesome, one young man was extremely helpful and really made our stay more pleasant! Breakfast was good. There is great snorkeling just south and north of their beachside location. And there is a a great seafood/fresh fish restaurant “Unzipped” and an excellent Taqueria close by.

• Rune (10/5): - Lovely place on the east side of Gili Air. The villas are clean and spacious, and perfect for families traveling with children. Rent a mask and you can go snorkeling right on the beach in front of the hotel. Highly recommended.

• Mariana (10/5): dedinitelt recommend - I had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, clean, the staff is kind and the owner, Stephan, is awesome! The pool area is quite nice as well, and there is a diving school practically inside the hotel, which is quite convenient.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The villas were set back from the restaurant, road and beach which made them quiet and peaceful. The villa was spacious with a large covered outdoor area at the front. Snorkeling off the beach in front of the bar/restaurant was the highlight. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the owner, Stefan, treated us like family. We hope to get back here as we enjoyed our 5 days so much.
• Amelie (10/5): - Excellent séjour dans à la Villa Bulan Madu. Notre bungalow était immense, très joliment décoré, d'une propreté irréprochable, avec une salle de bain très agréable en plein air. Les lits sont très confortables et le petit déjeuner très bon. Le personnel était aux petits soins pour nous et nos enfants. Ce qui est dommage est que le décor du bar n'est pas très engageant donc peu de personnes s'arrêtent pour y boire un verre ou déjeuner. Nous avons beaucoup profité de la piscine avec les enfants qui étaient ravis.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - The villas were spacious and the main bar and restaurant close to the sea. The coffee at breakfast came in a French press and was pleasant tasting. The lighting in the villas was dark, the light from the garden shone through the curtains all night, the bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets did not feel like Egyptian cotton, as described. The breakfast was terrible. The wifi didn’t work for longer than a few minutes before cutting out all the time. We left a night early as we couldn’t bear another sleepless night and asked for a refund from the owner but never heard back from him.
• Ailish (10/5): A family feel oasis - Spent an amazing 4 days here. The incredibly spacious villas have all been repaired following the earthquake last year and have a beautifully designed indoor/outdoor bathroom. The kitchenette is great for making tea to enjoy on the generously sized verandah and water/fridge is supplied in your villa. Each villa has its own exquisite peaceful garden with day bed - a well designed work of art. You will not go hungry after the breakfast here and the food I ordered .. the chicken schnitzel and fish and chips were delicious (try the spicy Lombok sauce as an accompaniment). The stunning spa on site looks magnificent although I couldn’t have a masssge due to bruising/injury from a fall the day before I arrived. The pool is clean/well kept. The staff were super - always greeting guests with a smile and hello. Stephan the owner is genuinely keen for his guests to have a comfortable stay and is generous with his time and travel tips. Va and Fy who work the bar/restaurant stole the show for me!! Whilst they respect privacy we enjoyed many delightful hours chatting in the open hut overlooking the sea (it was low season). The people here have all been affected in some way by the earthquake last year (some have no homes still) however they don’t complain or even tell you about their experience unless you ask. They go about their business/work with a smile - incredibly resilient. Highly recommended as a place to stay. Thanks again to all the staff.
