- M A (9/5): We'll be back - Been before, lovely hotel All the staff very friendly but perhaps could be a little more cheery on leaving, i.e. "have you had a good stay, are you going home now" etc. Policy on library, needs clarifying either you are welcome to take a book (perhaps with a donation?) or a sign saying for reading in hotel only. Being asked to return a book possibly a year down the line, bit petty for a four star hotel

Too much for most guests and although 4 course price reasonable nobody liked the principle of it. Should be other options. Holiday would have been better with choices. Not sure if our room would be 4 star.

The ambience of the dining area is first class. The entertainment in the evening was the local Aberdyfi male voice choir who serenaded us with traditional Welsh songs making a most memorable evening. The quality of food for the evening meal. The lamb was overcooked and not of great quality.

Superb views from the bedrooms facing the sea. I'm not used to sleeping in a single bed. I should have asked for a room with a double bed.

Nothing, it’s a real gem.

- B (6/5): Lovely hotel, breakfast, staff and cleanliness great BUT won’t stay again as room outdated, cramped and no sleep - The hotel is beautiful and the view from our room was spectacular . Our room was cramped, too full of outdated furniture , way too much furniture for such a small room. There was a constant tapping all night (we think it was the flagpole directly outside in the grounds) even with all windows closed we were unable to sleep and actually STILL awake at sunrise.

Het personeel was super behulpzaam en vooral Adam was een enorme hulp voor alle vragen en tips voor mooie wandelingen en uitstapjes.

- Magdalena (10/5): Great views and facilities - Our Room, view from it and staff were fantastic! Fab location to explore this part of the coast, beautiful surroundings. Evening dinner was delicious and very affordable for 4 courses. The only thing missing was hairdryer in the room, but not a big deal since we stayed only one night. Also breakfast menu could have a few more options and offer some veggies, and hollandaise sauce maybe to make eggs Benedict instead of just poached egg with salmon/ham on a plate.

Breakfast was fantastic. A really relaxing place to be, and a lovely walk down to the beach. Easy walk into town. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were great. Honestly we just had a wonderful time - thanks to everyone for making our stay so nice. Nothing!
- Samantha (10/5): Comfortable and accommodating night away. - Breakfast was delicious and a great choice, perfect start to a day of work. Beautiful views. Rooms clean, spacious enough and with everything you need, including tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Lovely walk either across to the beach or down to the shops/restaurants, I only went down in the evening to find somewhere to eat. Many places were actually full due to there being a pantomime performance on that evening. Finally found the little gem Harbour Kitchen (I think that is correct) who managed to accommodate us. I'm sure the dinner at the hotel would have been lovely, but we didn't need four courses. Slightly too warm for sleeping, but there may have been a way of turning the heat down, I just didn't really look.

My room said "garden view" but all I got was 2 tiled roofs. The shower was very compact, if I turned around, my nose was 2 inches away from the glass. (I'm 14 stone, so not huge)

Our room 301 was rather small and the two chairs had to face the bathroom door because there was not enough space for them to face the sea view.

Room was on the small side and could have done with more sockets, which no doubt will happen when next refurbished.

Easy walk into town and to the beach. Food was very good too. Bed was a little uncomfortable ( too soft) leading to back ache in the morning.

- linda (1/5): - The location is superb. The hotel has lovely facilities and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere As there was no one to great us at the dining room for breakfast we sat ourselves down. Tea and coffee was offered and brought to our table. My partner went in search of cups to no avail . Phil, a member of staff then decided it was appropriate to admonish us , in front of all the other guests, raising his voice in a room you have heard a pin drop, explaining that we had plonked, his word, ourselves down at a dining table, instead at our named table, this hadn't been explained to us, and that they would have to remake it. We were embarrassed, shamed and I was left very tearful. Our one night away this year was such a treat and felt ruined by his inappropriate, unprofessional and disrespectful attitude.
