• John (6/5): Tegenvallend. - Ontbijt. En het personeel is behulpzaam. 2 deuren verderop zat een leuke bar/restaurant met live muziek. Gedateerd. Foto’s zijn waarschijnlijk 10 jaar geleden genomen.
• Aishlen (4/5): Cheap and cheerful - 2 nights was enough. - We were given the upstairs and downstairs of the 'beach front' wooden accommodation. The steps were steep and the doors didn't lock correctly. This was unsuitable for our family (2 adults, 2 children - 10 and 4). We moved from the top room to a 'newer' room - this was larger and more comfortable. The WiFi was great and the breakfast was lovely in all fairness. Great price for what we got. The bed was massive which allowed all four of us to sleep in it when my husband and son moved from the wooden accommodation for one of the nights. We stayed 2 nights (2 x families) and it work out at £13 per room (total four rooms) per night with breakfast. When the tide was out you could walk straight to a great place place for food called The Chill. I don't recommend the wooden 'beach front' huts. The aircon wasn't great, the wooden hut was loud and not fully sealed. The door didn't lock properly. The sun loungers that looked out onto the water could actually do with cushions and a bit of TLC.

Malheureusement sur les 3 chambres louées: La climatisation de la chambre N°3 était Hs : bruit d'enfer et pas de froid odeurs d'humidité La chambre N°2 impect. La chambre N°1 la climatisation ne régul pas.. obligé de l'éteindre et allumé plusieurs fois dans la nuit. Petit déjeuner : Les jus de fruit ... ne sont pas des fruits

• James (10/5): Excellent value - I arrived very early but they got the room ready for me promptly. It was very clean and had a hot shower (unlike some nearby, similarly priced places). Breakfast was very nice.

Breakfast only 3 choices, egg fried or omlete or pancake with drink. Beach needed rubbish removed. No restaurant on site but name suggests that there was one.
• Jodi (8/5): Very good - The staff were kind and caring. While I was ill, the ladies checked on my well being and did all they could to assist me. Even driving to the pharmacy for medicine. The sounds of the waves lulling you to sleep was bliss. Breakfast delivery to your room each morning. TV,s in room did not work. No fridge in the upstairs bungalows.

• Xulia (8/5): Very good - I read the reviews and many said the pool was dirty but that is not the case at all. The pool has dark colour tiles in the bottom and that is why the water doesn't look very blue but it is nice and clean. They let me choose if I want a room in the second floor which was very nice because it had a view to the sea. The room was very comfortable and there was a mosquito net which was very convenient. There a kettle for hot water and they provide water. They also served breakfast in the room. I had a great stay there and I recommend it. The bathroom is a bit basic but it works. The ladies sometimes are a bit laud talking between them very early in the morning.

• Donna (3/5): Poor - Not a lot. I think it was falsely advertised. The clear blue water out the front was non existent. It had a seaweed farm there. The pool didn't look clean. It was run down. We got locked out of our bathroom in the middle of the night. Only stayed one night. Would like a refund for the other two! See above

• Isabella (4/5): Beautiful location and lovely people just a shame about the doors. - The people were nice Unfortunately the front doors to the room would not close and were a bit of a safety hazard. There appeared to be an infestation of ants. Also the front door did not lock and you could not take the key out of it

We were waiting for the room readiness however we did not get any information if our room has been ready until we came to them. The wifi does not work! Even we gave a room that has wifi however we did not get it! Empty tissue and empty shower gel when we checked in. The TV can not be turned on, it is only like an accessories. The ceiling is leaking when it was heavy rained. The pool is so dirty. Actually we can get cheaper price with this unworking facilities. We hope this review can be used as constructive feedback to improve this property.

• Luzia (7/5): Good enough for what it is. - The location is quite good. The room is adequate. The facilities were a little more old and run down than shown in the photos which is to be expected. The pool was very murky. The breakfast wasn't great, but at least they bring it up to your room which is lovely. The staff were almost never around. When I was checking out, there was no one at the desk and I waited for about half an hour before I just left.

• Andrew (8/5): A pleasant place on the north coast - Ayu Laba Villas were very nice. The room was spacious and the bathroom was huge. Breakfast was good (we had banana pancakes & coffee) There was a very nice warung next door which we ate at every evening. (There were also some smaller ones nearby but not loads to choose from) Most of the beaches on Nusa Penida are broken coral and not the type to laze on. (Our beach was no exception.) The owners/staff organised transportation/tours for us. It would have been nice to have a white sandy beach but that isn’t the fault of the villa owners. The English spoken wasn’t fantastic but way better than my Indonesian. Taxi from the boat terminal (🤣) was a bit pricey. We paid 25k
