- connor (8/5): Over all it was great place to stay -just some confusion over payment. L:ocation was perfect - The apartment itself was really up to our expectations. The value for money was excellent, The only thing I found was that wasn't really organized correctly to get access to the apartment. We had a two bedroom apartment everything looked nice and clean location perfect The staff who ran the complex seem a bit dis organized. When we got there we were waiting for 20mins outside. They should of just giving the key code and told where the key was. We came on a Saturday ,the staff rang me the next day while we were out looking for money which I payed it through booking.com. They ended up taken another payment on the sunday which I never authorised ,BUT to be fair was returned on the Monday morning.

Great location in the very centre and near the beach yet still quiet during the night Communication with host was quite problematic. Firstly personal checkin was requested but nobody was needed as keys were prepared to be found anyway. But no instructions where to find them were provided. Credit card (instead of debit which I’ve used literally hundreds times before) was requested to be inserted into booking for deposit withdrawal despite it wasn’t necessary either. Deposit wasn’t mentioned during booking process if I am not mistaken but I was reading in hurry. Just be ready it will be requested.

- Johanna (1/5): - Leider kam es nicht zum geplanten Aufenthalt da der Host unfassbar unfreundlich war. Ich habe mir dann spontan eine neue Unterkunft gesucht. Leider gab es keine Check In Informationen vorab, als ich nach mehreren Versuchen endlich jemanden am Telefon hatte, war dieser direkt patzig und unfreundlich. Als er dann zum Check In kam - gab es keine Entschuldigung sondern der schroffe Umgangston blieb. Sogar als ich ihn darauf aufmerksam machte, dass er sehr unfreundlich sei und sein Ton unangemessen. Die Situation spitzte sich so zu, dass ich das Ganze abgebrochen habe und da raus gelaufen bin.

The hotel has no permanent reception, and even though we agreed on a time, we still had to wait. The receptionist was late, unfriendly and not helpful. We were unexpectedly asked to pay a €250 deposit, which was not mentioned on Booking and was much higher than the price of the stay. In the room (1А), the bedside table and the shower holder were broken. The room was mostly clean, but there were small ants on the sink.

Most things worked and with a little attentionand investment it ciuld be really good. The reception in non existent. The card didn't work through booking. Com but worked fine when we arrived. No room ready Sofa bed good Main double bed busted, needs replacement mattress immediately. Bedroom windows don't open Balcony doors broken TV broken Kitchen ok Bathroom.ok I would stay there again, but I would insist on new bed and repairs. The lackadasical nature of office or contact is poor. I had to do everything through the cleaner. Which is unfair Great property and location is 1st class. Just shoddy maintenance.

- Olive (6/5): "Vila Lavanda had a great location, but our stay didn’t quite meet expectations." - The location was fantastic—just steps away from the beach, bars, shops, restaurants, and the gym! We stayed in apartment no 3. Hyperdino Express is just a short walk away, perfect for picking up fresh bread and pastries. It has a hob and oven, perfect for whipping up snacks for the teenagers! A set of kitchenware suitable for serving four people. There was free Wi-Fi and a TV with Netflix and YouTube. There was a small enclosed garden, but unfortunately it didn’t get any sunlight. There’s only one key and nowhere to leave it, which is really inconvenient if you’re going out separately. There’s no air conditioning, which was fine since we were there in December. The hob didn’t work, and although we were told someone would come the next day to fix it, no one showed up. There’s damp on the walls, the bedding is poor quality, and the hot water tank is so small that the water ran cold quickly, especially with four people showering.

- Axel (5/5): - Die Unterkunft kann ich nicht bewerten. Die Vermieter hat grundlos meine Karte abgelehnt. War kaum zu erreichen und dann extrem patzig und unfreundlich. Sie hat uns immer weiter hingehalten bis ich dann abends noch was anderes buchen musste. Dort im Hotel und wie vorher auch immer wurde meine Karte akzeptiert. Die wollte uns nicht, weil nur einen Nacht gebucht. Dafür das ganze Appartement reinigen lassen, lohnt natürlich nicht.

Un lugar excepcional en cuanto a la ubicación, tan cerca de la playa que puedes ir hasta descalzo, y tan cerca de la zona de ocio que hace que tengas que despreocupate del transporte. Un sitio con encanto propio, que parece un oasis entre tantos hoteles, como si estuvieras en tu propia casa. Aunque se oye un poco la habitación de al lado, el silencio es total a cierta hora donde puedes hasta escuchar las olas, y a pesar que esta en una zona de ocio apenas llega ruido. Además se ve que hay dedicación en el mantenimiento ya que la cocina y el baño estaban totalmente reformados, y una decoración actual con palilleria en las paredes. Con bastante aparcamiento en la zona. Todas las comodidades con un precio más que aceptable. Por decir algo, el horario del checkout es un poco temprano si decides salir la noche anterior por la zona de ocio, pero es una tónica cada vez más habitual incluso en los hoteles. Otra cosa que no me gustó fue que no me pude llevar la cama, de lo cómoda que era... :(

Avevamo 2 appartamenti, uno era un po' più nuovo e meglio arredato, l'altro vecchio e un po' trascurato. Proprietari molto disponibili. L'appartamento vecchio era sporco, il bagno vecchio e non troppo curato. Quello nuovo era anche tenuto meglio.

- Nina (1/5): Discussing scammers and taking picture of my Visa card from both sides! I called the bank and bank told me to contact th - Location I arrived at the property, only to be told they couldn’t find my reservation even though I had a clear confirmation on my phone from Booking.com. Then, without asking for my permission or giving me any explanation, a staff member took a photo of my Visa card from both sides. When I questioned this, they said it was for the deposit. I told them I wasn’t comfortable with that. The staff then said I needed to pay the deposit in cash instead, but the amount they requested was very high, which felt unfair and unsafe. When I finally saw the room, it was unattractive and included a list showing how much they would deduct from the deposit if anything was damaged. Feeling uneasy, I contacted my family, who warned me that taking a picture of my credit card without permission is illegal. I also called my bank, and they confirmed that if someone takes photos of my Visa card from both sides, I should contact the police. My partner ( who was in Netherlands at that time) called the lady and asked her to come back to delete the photo of my card otherwise, we would contact the police. She immediately returned but acted as if it wasn’t her problem. She was forcing me to go to the cash machine to withdraw 250 €, even after I explained that I wasn’t expecting this and didn’t have that much cash on me. She said it wasn’t her problem. She was extremely rude. (Later I called with Booking who also told me that demanding cash like this was not okay) At this point being shocked and disgusted with their approach,I asked to leave the property. She said she would return the 180 € I had already paid for the room if I leave so I packed my stuff from the room. Then she made me wait about 30 minutes, then told me to come back at 7 p.m. to get my money. At 6:30 p.m., she called me that’s is is not gonna deal with me and then stopped communicating altogether.

- Diego (1/5): - Lugar sucio , el personal antipático , tuvimos una mala experiencia en este establecimiento, nos rompió todo nuestro descanso , el colchón tenía chinche y encima no tenía mosquitera ni aire acondicionado, era imposible descansar con los mosquitos, una de las noches nos tuvimos que ir a la playa a dormir y los otros días tuvimos que ir a la farmacia por autan para los mosquitos, un horror
- David (3/5): Where to start.... - Location Where to start. First I guess is to make sure you don't run the risk of missing their limited check in times. Stick to it and I'm sure you'll be fine. However, in my experience and up to this point the apartments I've successfully booked (and there have been a few) have managed to provide a key that is accessible via a key box to avoid any problems around late check in due to delayed flights etc..this was problematic with this particular host as they hang around to give you the key. Which is lovely customer service until you need a backup plan and there isn't much of one. Second is be prepared to be reminded you are a loyal booking.com user and you got a discount, especially if you have a problem. The discount is my problem as a customer why? You signed up to their terms and conditions and promote your business through them, so please don't have that conversation with me, have it with booking.com. My particular discount was thrown in my face when I was told I'd already 'RECEIVED' a discount (like I'd applied a voucher code or something) when I asked about a late check in after they declined my initial request and stated that I needed to pay for this service. This I agreed to but in order to meet their expectations you need to be very close to the time you agree, which doesn't allow for any problems with flights, luggage, passport control, transport etc...then funny enough if you're late they start to communicate with you. Sadly in our case the flights were delayed by over two hours and passport control was understaffed, with an additional helping of misunderstanding with the buses and my Daughter and her friend were late in arriving. This is when it got ugly with requests to compensate for their time for waiting above and beyond what was agreed as if it was office overtime they wanted paying for and in fact it was described to me in this way. I've never heard this anywhere before in the hospitality trade.

Late check in fee of €35, feels steep for a very short check in window. Take there time to turn up even if you give them a specific time to check in. No air-conditioning on bottom floor apartments, can get very very warm during and evening.
- Adrián (7/5): Great location, good cleaning service, but very noisy. Communication and reception are a joke! - 1. Location is excellent... IF you're going to party all night in Las Américas. If you want to sleep at night, look for another place or take earplugs with you :) The apartment itself is nice, but NOISY! It gets quiet around 4-5 AM. 2. Cleaning lady was very attentive, the apartment was clean. 3. Bed was comfortable, coffee machine, hob, Smart TV with Netflix, Youtube etc. 1. Communication is AWFUL. No information given about payment or entering the apartment (except a message with "sistem take, don't worry"... well, "sistem" didn't take!) 2. Entering the apartment... Oh my God! If someone had told me this story, I would have thought it's a joke -> When booking, I gave arrival time between 17:00 - 18:00, which was accepted. On our arrival day, my phone rang ONCE and I had to call back :) I told the lady we'll arrive around 17:30. At about 17:00 I got a "one-ring" call again, picked up, but nothing. Called back... no answer. I sent an SMS that we'll be there in 20 minutes. Yet, when we arrived, around 17:30, nobody was there. I called, she said she'll be there in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, still nothing. After about 30 minutes, she drops in, visibly annoyed... I asked whether she saw my SMS. She said no, but that she called me and no one answered, and she's not working today anyway. Well, big f... DOH... I'm soooo sorry that we chose to arrive on her day off! I mean... is this for real?! She was almost insulted that we had bothered her and she had to come all the way there from the beach, where she was having her well deserved tan! LOL! If I'd have to review the place based solely on this, I'd give it a -10 :) 3. NOISY! Yeah, location is AWESOME, you step out and after a few meters you're on the beach... albeit, NOT a sand beach, but a 10-15 minute walk and you're on a nice sand beach. But prepare to not be able to sleep all night due to the parties in the area! 4. Wonderful house, but maintenance is ZERO (we had to "repair" some stuff ourselves so that they'd work while we're there). It's like they're just milking the cow and don't care for her health. 5. No air conditioning! We had to ask for a fan. Cleaning lady was great though, and brought us one in no time.

- William (8/5): Excellent short break - Read some reports before going and feared worst. Couldn’t be further from truth. Arrived early and called owner who came within 20mins and let me into apartment over 2.5hrs early. Great location. Comfortable bed and clean full apartment with everything required. Them called and asked for late checkout and would pay. Again staff were excellent and no issues to arrange. This is good basic accommodation and I think some people are looking for 4/5* at budget prices. Would definitely recommend but only thing would say doesn’t have air condition if going in peak summer. Had a great short break

- Dana (10/5): Beautiful stay near ocean - It was a lovely place, an awesome clean apartment, with everything you could possibly need. The second line from the ocean. There were great restaurants near with a nice ocean view with surfers. 10 minutes walking from the nearest beach. Surfers vibes around wery superplus watching sunset with surfers 5 mins from the apartmant, just a great memory!
- Dagmar (6/5): Cheap and close to beach - Its very close to the beach and the balcony is soo nice and also the price is very good. I dont like that I gave my credit card through booking.com and then the cleaning lady knocks on the door at 10 the next day after arrival and says I should pay cash. I refused and she had to call someone to be able to charge me with a machine. I think that is rediculous. When I asked for confirmation via email that I paid the person on the other end was very sarcastic, "what do you mean you didnt pay before the arrival that is why we had to charge you after words ". I think this is all really unprofessional and I felt uncomfortable. Another thing is that the cleaning products like soap ir washing soap was soo little in a big container that you could maybe use ones. There are alot of rules and it feels like you need to clean the apartment yourself otherwise you couls be charge. There is a líst of what they can charge you with. One more thing the bed was soo uncomfortable
- Clarity (8/5): Very good - Loved that it was only a block away from the sea. and that it wasn't as built up like Los Cristianos. Close to all the amenities. Very comfy beds and a good hot shower. Christine was very helpful in getting the internet working. I guess the owner must have had bad experience with people breaking or nicking things as there was a list showing the price if you damaged the bedding, glasses etc. Also a 5 euro charge to watch the TV and a 3 euro charge for the internet and when you are paying over 100 euros a night that feels doesn't sit right as all places include tv and internet. Also our plane didn't get in till almost 6 pm and we didn't know if we would get there before 7 pm when check in finished. They agreed to check us in after 7 pm but for a 30 euro fee which we agreed to. We got to the apartment before 8 pm and on the wall they had a list of rules etc and a time of when check in which they had listed till 8pm! Definitely didn't sit well with us.

- Daphne (4/5): Disappointing - I liked the location 1, No fan was provided, one would think it should be included given the high temperatures of Tenerife. 2, Place smelled like insect spray and also saw small cockroaches. Probably sprayed on the day before our visit to control the insect issue !
