David (8/5): Comfortable and pleasant stay - Pretty location and property, well appointed with good breakfast supplies. Small but perfectly formed and served us well as a threesome. Proprietor helpful as we communicated regarding vacating due to a cyclone. Would have loved a king sized bed instead of queen but we understand that there was limited space for one as it is a small unit.

Tina (10/5): Really enjoyed this place and would like to return...Loved the farmyard zoo nearby!!! - Loved the location and home-y feel. Kind of them to provide supplies for breakfast, and I learned to use a french coffee press. Would love to have had a refill on the coffee canister. The only thing (in my opinion) that could be improved upon would be the bed pillows. They were too firm for comfort. Some places provide down/feather pillows as well as the type provided here.

Garden rather overgrown making the accommodation dark. The digger left in the garden was not appropriate.Families would not feel safe with kids in the garden playing.

Betty (10/5): We would stay there again and highly recommend it to our family and friends. - We loved the cleanliness, the proximity to the local town and the fact that the attention to detail regarding utensils, supplies and furnishings was 100%. Nothing was missing. We love that. Thankyou. Probably that the man mowing the lawn could have warned us that he was going to mow as the dust and dirt was flying into our apartment for ages , we had to close all windows and doors immediately. However, the whipper snipper man told us he was about to work so we appreciated that. Perhaps he can remember to warn people.

The beds were comfortable and all our needs were catered for, right down to breakfast on the first morning. Intial communication was difficult and it would have been easier to be told from the beginning the time the cottage was available . We also told we couldn't have visitors, It would have been nice to invite my ninety seven year old father over on Christmas day.

Not really a plunger coffee fan so would be good if it had drinking chocolate or more tea options :)

We were delighted that the place was spotlessly clean and had a good range of cooking equipment as well as eggs, milk and bread in the fridge. We loved the privacy and the space, being surrounded by lovely gardens. There were 2 washing machines and a drier in the guest laundry as well as a washing line and large clothes rack in the cottage itself. Everything that you need! You are on a bit of a limb and really need to use your car or get an Uber in the evening if you want to eat out. Also we would have like a couple more mugs.

Very comfortable beds and spacious living area not counting huge deck area and gardens. Close to Hastings, Havelock and Napier and many wineries. Could not fault Nothing

Highly recommended. - Very clean cottage with modern furnishings, comfortable beds, great shower, groceries to make breakfast (eggs, bread, coffee, tea). Private surroundings. No ottomans for more comfortable seating. No living room table lamps for more relaxed lounging and reading.

Suzanne (10/5): - We couldn't rate Lawn Cottages highly enough. The location was very quiet, in well kept gardens, easy access to Hastings and Clive, by car. The cottage was very modern inside, and everything we needed was provided for, even down to a first aid kit! The detail was impressive. The kitchen was well kitted out. Laundry was on site, which was really important to us and this was easy to access and use. . It felt modern, fresh and clean, just what we were looking for and it made our stay in Hastings so enjoyable.

Gillian (9/5): Great quiet place - steps tricky for some . - Lovely quiet and private location . Well equipped and comfortable . Trip coincided with art deco festival in Napier so great timing . Three largish steps up to the main level of the cottages had no rail - which looks nice but made it extremely difficult for elderly parent who uses two sticks or walking frame - had to almost carry her up the steps.
Heather (8/5): Generally good - Found couch/seats uncomfortable. Spent time at the cottage and found lack of sports channels unusual. My husband was expecting to be able to watch Sky Sport.
Helen (9/5): Wonderful, lovely to walk around the garden and great location. - Great location, peaceful, extremely comfortable and spacious. First class laundry facilities, which is greatly appreciated when travelling. The position of Hydrangea cottage in the garden unfortunately did not benefit from the sunshine and light. Both my husband and I love light, this would have been an added bonus.

Kerry (10/5): A peaceful garden retreat in a well appointed modern cottage. - Beautiful, peaceful place to stay. We appreciated the fresh bread, milk and eggs to welcome us. Near the beach (best for looking or walking at not swimming) and also near an entrance to the bike bath which runs to Cape Kidnappers. A short drive to all the nearby towns. If you don't have a car it may feel a little far from shops but it is very near the biking pathway for these who are cycling. This wasn't an issue for us though.
William (10/5): - The cottage was outstanding. The most beautiful garden we have ever had in a property. So peaceful, it was like our own slice of heaven! The cottage inside was exceptionally clean, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Could not recommend highly enough.
Burnsie (10/5): Exceptional - It is a little sanctuary away from the crowds, peaceful and close to everywhere. Feel at home here. Stayed here before, will always come back. Highly recommend. I had to leave.
Angela (10/5): Excellent luxurious cottage with all we needed for a very comfortable stay. - Easy instructions to follow . On arrival we got keys from a lock box, knew where to park. The cottage was very well equipped with beautiful linen and furniture. It was luxurious. We had our own private garden and area to sit with outdoor furniture and bbq. We liked watching the birdlife and rabbits in the mature garden area. Nothing could have been better.
