Patrice (9/5): Étape idéale pour qui visite Lascaux - Situé au bord de la Vézère dans un endroit calme de Montignac, à 5mn en voiture de Lascaux 4. Bénéficie en outre d'un bon restaurant. Personnel convivial et fort sympathique. Facile de se garer : parking public et gratuit. Une pointe de chauffage dans les chambres quand l'après saints de glace laisse des traces serait un plus. Hormis ce point de détail, tout s'est bien passé.

The food in the restaurant was excellent and we dined in twice for our 4 night stay. A great location for exploring the area and only 5 minutes from the Lascaux IV visitor centre. Nothing of note.

Besonders gefreut hat uns der parkähnliche Garten mit einem tollen Swimmingpool, den wir gleich nach unserer Ankunft genossen haben. Das anschließende Abendessen auf der Terasse des Hotelrestaurants war vorzüglich. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Greet (8/5): - Rustig gelegen en toch dicht bij stadskern en loopafstand tot de grot van Lascaux. Er is een overkapping in de tuin waar we onze fietsen konden parkeren. Daar was ook een mogelijkheid om een elektrische fiets op te laden.

The hotel room was expensive for what it was - it should be a quaint place but somehow misses the mark. Bed reasonably comfy, pillows hard and a bit lumpy. Few amenities, only soap and 2 small bottles of water, not replaced on the second day. Breakfast was a sorry and limited buffet, also too expensive.

È una splendida dimora del 1800, che regala un'atmosfera unica. Vicino al fiume, con un giardino curato e un posteggio pubblico gratuito adiacente. Passare una notte qui è qualcosa di diverso, che regala un'emozione. Il gestore con noi è stato gentilissimo. Anche la cena è stata ottima e la colazione è la migliore che abbiamo fatto in 12 giorni di tour. Ci è piaciuto tutto, anche lo scricchiolio del legno delle scale e del pavimento della camera, fa tutto parte della storia di questa casa ed è esattamente quello che cercavamo.

Ann (6/5): Acceptable stay in a perfect location - After the neighbors put their children to bed 10:30PM, the room was very quiet. The AC worked well in two of the three rooms I rented. The little real handsoaps were a nice touch. The location was perfect. I have traveled all over France for 25 years and stayed in 2 star, 3 star and ultra luxury 5 star hotels. And a nice 'accueil' or welcome can make up for a multitude of problems. Saying 'If you have any questions or need any help with your stay'; or just 'Welcome to Montignac and to my hotel' goes a long way. Nothing effusive or long winded just a smile and a gesture of good will. A good hoteler knows exactly what to say and how to act. This was the most glacial and unwelcome 'accueil' I have experienced. We arrived at 6PM not late, not early, and didn't ask for anything except the keys. But this reception was downright unpleasant. Maybe the hotel clerk or owner was very ill or extremely tired. So every detail we didn't like loomed larger which might have been otherwise overlooked. The AC did not function well in one of the three rooms I reserved. That happens. The other rooms were fine. The toilet was in a very old condition which is not what I would expect even in a 2 star. Pillows lumpy. I could go on but won't. Most of this is understandable and acceptable. But I paid about $170 per room for one night. My review says stay there and you will probably be fine, The location is perfect. The rooms are quiet. Ignore the hoteler, the price and the details of the room..

Lizette (9/5): What an amazing hotel in a beautiful small town! - The setting (with an expansive jardin) was beautiful, the room just fine (a little small), the staff (and particularly the owners) wonderful and the food to die for!! I was relieved to have room air-conditioning as it got very hot, but the hotel doesn't control the weather! I often wish breakfasts were not so expensive (not just here), but still, it was a holiday...

We had dinner in the restaurant. It was exceptional. If you are looking for simple food, pizza, burgers etc this is not for you. But if you are looking for a memorable meal, full of flavour and different textures, this is a great place and , at 38 euros, I think that's correct, great value. We had not been to Montignac before. It's a lovely town and the hotel is perfectly located. Lots of free parking next to the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and will plan to return. We rather regretted not planning to stay two nights.

It is located near to restaurants, shops and other facilities. There are free car parks adjacent to hotel and easily accessible. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable with good facilities. The hotel itself is superb and is very pleasant with a wonderful ambiance. It has a large bar and restaurant, a terrace and other facilities. The breakfast on was lovely with a great choice of food and beverages. 11/10! Nothing.

Een lekker bakje koffie of thee zetten om de dag te starten op de kamer bijvoorbeeld. Een drankje uit de mini bar voor het slapengaan zeker bij een hittegolf die wij hadden. Het onhandig stappen in een hoog bad om te douchen en het stoten van je hoofd bij het toiletteren je kan het charme noemen maar voor een overnachting van meer dan €220 ….
