Breakfast was very good. I cannot speak to parking because we were walking the Cami de Ronda and stayed here on the first night of our hiking trip.

- Marius (8/5): 3 Tage Portbo - Wir waren für drei Tage im Hotel Portbo. Ich kann mich meinen Vorrednern in einigen Punkten nur anschließen: das Frühstück und das Personal waren wirklich überragend. Die Größe der Zimmer war klasse, allerdings war besonders das Badezimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Terrasse war riesig aber leider nur mit zwei einfachen Stühlen ausgestattet, obwohl Schirm und liegen für noch mehr Pluspunkte gesorgt hätten. Das Dach am Pool könnte ebenfalls mal eine Renovierung vertragen. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage und dank des Gesamtpaketes mit einigen kleinen Renovierungen kann es sicher eins der besten in dieser Ecke werden

- Ella (8/5): - The best part of this hotel is the breakfast. This is not the typical hotel continental. They have eggs made to order, pastries, fresh baked breads, all the fruits, sautéed vegetables, local fish. I’ve never had better and the service was fantastic! The hotel was nicely located for the beach and the bus. We were absolutely charmed by Costa Brava! We rented bikes in Palafugell and spent a whole day exploring. We hiked the costal trail from Begur back to Calella. Unbelievable beauty!!

- Richard (10/5): Stay here for the included breakfast - The design of the hotel gives away it's 1960's origins, but it has been updated with a/c, new balconies and solar heating to the swimming pool. We had clean towels and sheets every day, a luxury. Our room on the top floor was huge and gave a distant view of the sea, the only drawback was that it had a really small wardrobe - frankly, one only suitable for a couple travelling with Ryanair! However, this small inconvenience was more than compensated for by the included breakfast. More choice that we've seen in hotels 4 time the size and price - plus eggs - fried (with bacon), scrambled or omlette. We've never seen actual bars of chocolate for breakfast anywhere! Oh, and the hotel is 2 minutes walk from the main part of town where there are plenty of places to eat and 3 minutes from the nearest beach.

The Hotel Portbo was a wonderful place to stay and was extremely well positioned for everything in the area. The staff were all very helpful, thoughtful and friendly. The room was large and clean and comfortable. Our kids loved the pool and the breakfast and staff at breakfast (especially Xavier) were fantastic. We will return! Definitely recommend.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a very spanish style hotel,the breakfast buffet was beautifully presented and lovely quality, and the pool is almost like a hydrotherapy spa,a bit too deep for non swimmers though.lots of clients seem to have been coming for many years but even though we were new comers, we felt as though we had been welcomed into a family , everyone was so nice.

Just 2 mins walk from the beach Port Bo, and also you can walk to the left or ride side of the shore having an incredible scenic view. There are several small beaches around, you can reach them by walking within 5-25 mins depending on the beach. The room is big and nice with everything basic you need. The best thing I liked about the hotel is the staff. Receptionists were very nice and breakfast staff (man and woman) were very kind, welcoming and extremely attentive. I was impressed. Food was very good and fresh. The only things I wish would be different are the bathroom should have separate soap and shampoo. There was only a wall shampoo container. Also, when I asked to call taxi to take me to the airport, there was a private taxi driver on his Mercedes who came and charged me 15€ to get to bus station Parafrugell. Overpriced. I wish the reception staff would call a regular official taxi driver. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel because of the location convenience, wonderful staff and good value for the price.

- Noah (10/5): Full of wonderful surprises - Hotel Port Bo EXCEEDED our every expectation. First, we thought that we were just getting a hotel room since it was only 68 euros/night (+ taxes). Imagine our delight to see that it was an entire apartment with 2 terraces and a bathroom bigger than my studio apartment! The location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk to all of the lovely little beaches, restaurants, and coastal trail. Because we had our own kitchenette we decided to splurge for lunches (I recommend La Vela) and make salads in the room. The receptionist was very kind to grab us some salt from the restaurant since we forgot to pick some up at the store. Then.... BREAKFAST! Oh my goodness was it incredible. A huge array of pastries, cereals, cheeses, meats, and a couple of specialty items plus espresso drinks and mimosas! They also made eggs and bacon to order. It was a fantastic stay and I recommend it to anyone!
