Guest Reviews
- K (8/5): - Great atmosphere, clean room and toilets. Great services. Can improve breakfast a bit better, but during thia COVID-19 situation cant do any better.
We are happy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Little gem and lovely staff - Twin room, v spacious, clean and comfy.
Lots of outdoor space.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Good nights rest.
Would stay again.
- Tashann (10/5): - Amazing stay room was amazing clean and warm lovly weekend staff was fantastic
- Anthony (10/5): - Quiet country pub-hotel. Very good value and very friendly
- Xin (8/5): Great place to stay - I booked from Hotels.com, but when I arrived there, the host said the booking was not confirmed. The staff was so friendly and quickly got a room ready for me. But this was very worrying when arrived at a new place facing the risk of no accommodation! Regardless of unproficiency of Hotels.com, staying with Arms was pleasant. The room was cosy though quite small. The breakfast was utterly good. It was very close to Wales National Park. So highly recommend it.
- Darren (10/5): Lovely little spot with clean and comfy rooms! - A lovely place with fantastic staff, a comfy room and really nice food! Our room was a nicely-sized double room, clean and comfortable. We had a little fridge which was a nice touch, and everything else we needed. Ran late checking out, but there were no issues, so we were very grateful for that. The only negative was that the shower head carried on running after we'd switched it off - not a huge deal, but a bit of a waste of water. Otherwise, a fantastic stay, and we would definitely stay again.
- Barry (10/5): - Not the Ritz but spotlessly clean and exactly as the pictures on the website showed.
Everything that should have been there was as promised.
But the jewel in the crown is definitely the staff. Very friendly and helpful!
Add to that a lovely breakfast so you can’t say fairer than that.
- Gary (8/5): - Nice room. Typical pub food, nothing fancy
- Wendy (10/5): Overnight stay - We were very happy with our overnight stay. We were able to check in early , staff very friendly and helpful , food excellent you certainly won’t be hungry.. good value for money.
- Janet (10/5): Helpful and friendly - Very helpful, I knew I was going to be late checking in so contacted them before hand and therefore there wasn’t a problem.
And I had to be off before breakfast was served so they made me a takeaway breakfast.
- Martin (10/5): - Very friendly welcome, food was beautiful and very accommodating with allergies. The room was spacious and clean nice touch to have a mini fridge in the room.
- Philip (10/5): Stress free overnight stay - Stress free stay from check-in to check-out. Spacious family room. Good full breakfast. Friendly staff.
- Stephen (10/5): Super - Fabulous place, good room, food in restaurant was excellent. Staff and locals made me feel welcome, particularly Lucy who is a diamond! Will stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely place to stay, friendly staff. - We had a lovely time here, could've done with somewhere to hang towels and shampoo and body wash available.
As we have two vegetarians in our family, it would've been good to have a vegetarian option for breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly hosts. Great breakfast and food in restaurant was very good. Room was large with good shower and a very useful fridge. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly service, good breakfasts, clean rooms. Would recommend.
- Irene (10/5): - Arrived too late for dinner, however breakfast was great

- Lee (10/5): - A good nights stay in a good size room with a comfy bed. And a great breakfast in the morning. Nice friendly and warm atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): 2 night stay - Came to stay for 2 nights brilliant welcome when I first arrived, taken up to my room and shown where everything was, eaten in the bar area for both nights while I was staying and food on both nights was excellent!
Peaceful at night so could get a very good night's sleep.
Parking right outside which is massively helpful.
Breakfast in the morning was fab but a non cooked option would of been nicer.. Don't know if this was available or if I just didn't get offered it but nether the less the breakfast was lovely.
Staff extremely helpful and polite.
Will definitely remember this place for future.
- Tony (8/5): Great little pub with 7 rooms - Very friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious. Nice large quadrant shower (overhead as well as standard shower head) - but space is now limited. The compromise is that the toilet is in a very narrow space.
Food is good quality too and the breakfast excellent.
The hotel is on the ‘approved’ list for BMW Off Road Skills courses.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very welcoming very friendly staff always there if u needed anything
- Matt (8/5): - A nice hotel with adjoining pub/ restaurant. Comfortable.
- Joanne (10/5): Great little getaway - Nice clean rooms, friendly staff and great food, would definitely recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff were all very friendly and hard working. The room was very clean and the food was excellent. If I had to be picky, it was just that I had to ask for clean towels but there was no problem in getting them.
- Lynette (10/5): Very Comfortable and Well Located - We have a very relaxing and comfortable stay at the Ynysmeudwy Arms. Lucy, Scott and their staff are wonderful hosts. The room was very clean, the bed most comfortable and the 'rainfall' shower in the bathroom was amazing.
We both follow a plant-based diet and the Full English alternative breakfast was delicious - the perfect way to start the day. They also have a growing list of very tasty vegan evening meals on a separate menu.
The B&B was perfectly located for trips to both the coast and the mountains.
We'll certainly return again.
Thank you!
Lynette & Gareth
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value for money. The 'no reception for checking in after 9pm' was worrying when I didn't receive an answer to my email and no one responded to my initial phone and answerphone message when I was wanting instructions for a late arrival.
- Philip (10/5): Comfortable stay - Comfortable room, friendly helpful staff. If you are unsteady on your feet - the stairs to the rooms could be a challenge
- D (10/5): - very pleasant stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A jewel of a find. Lovely pub. Food was just fantastic.
Nice and quiet overnight.
A pity that the nightlight in the room was so bright though as it did tend to disturb slepp.
- Adrian (10/5): Ynysmeudwy Training - Really friendly service for staff, breakfast delivered to the room and Fridge for Milk etc
- ed (8/5): Adequate - Breakfast is continental delivered night before with fridge in room so is fairly limited
No receipt available on site
Pub gets busy
- Samantha (10/5): Great find! - Very friendly place with great staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Slightly unusual. Nice clean room above restaurant/pub. Inexpensive. Nice staff. Ideal for my needs (came to do the Bmw off road motorcycle training which is 5 mins down the road)
- Trish (8/5): - Stairs very steep but apart from that stay was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Exceptional friendly helpful and cheerful staff made us feel very welcome and great food highly recommend the crumbed fried Brie delicious 😋
- Gary (10/5): - Nice pub with rooms,
Nice spacious room, with big walk in shower.
Friendly bar staff, with local Gower ales in.
- Paul (10/5): Great Stay - Fantastic stay. Great prices, lovely breakfast. Can't wait to come back.
- Miriam (8/5): A very comfortable overnight stay! - My daughter and I arrived and were greeted by a lovely young lady who showed us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a drink from the bar and although we did not eat, as arrived late in the evening, we would be very tempted to sample the menu on another visit.
The room was clean and comfortable and modern.
The breakfast basket was very welcome and perfectly adequate for breakfast before heading out.
The only negative was that we were disturbed in the night by a noisy fellow guest, however, in the morning the staff could not have been more apologetic about this despite it being completely out of their control.
Overall a very comfortable overnight stay for my daughters sporting event and will certainly visit again if we are in need of accommodation in the area. Thank you!
- Fiona (8/5): A friendly place to stay near the Gower Coast . - The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a slight mix up when checking in but it was soon resolved. On returning to our room on our last day, we were disappointed to find our room had not been serviced and there was no breakfast tray left for the following morning. We were given clean towels and a breakfast tray when asked.
The breakfast tray would benefit from some variety if guests are staying more than a couple of days.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rook was absolutely perfect not one fault, we paid extra for continental breakfast which I read on the website is brought you your room. This didn’t happen, this was a last minute stay due to a family emergency. We had to rush off in the morning, we waited until 11 o clock when check out was and still no breakfast..
- Martin (10/5): Superb - Room, very clean, well furnished and comfortable, the pub/restaurant great food, with friendly helpful staff. Would stay again.
