• Dorothee (9/5): Traumhafte Lage - Das Hotel hat uns insgesamt sehr gut gefallen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die hervorragende Auswahl beim Frühstück – frisch, vielfältig und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft und die Aussicht einzigartig, perfekt zum Entspannen und Genießen. Auch das Personal war jederzeit sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam, wodurch wir uns rundum willkommen gefühlt haben. Wir hatten die klassische Pool Villa und grundsätzlich war alles tipptopp. Leider war das Badezimmer eine große Enttäuschung. Es roch sehr muffig und wirkte deutlich in die Jahre gekommen, was überhaupt nicht zum ansonsten schönen und gepflegten Zimmer passte. Das Bad sollte dringend renoviert werden. Ein modernes, offenes Badezimmerkonzept würde perfekt zur Villa und zum gesamten Ambiente passen.

The view was second to none overlooking the water between nusa Lembongan and Ceningan with jungle surrounds. The bumpy roads to the accommodation. Lots of centipedes and snails. We were at the bottom of the rooms so many many stairs to climb to restaurant and reception (on the plus side lots of calorie burning).

• Inès (10/5): MAGIQUE - C’est un hôtel absolument incroyable, avec le déjeuné inclut proposant de multiples choix tous aussi bon les uns que les autres, la piscine commune à une vue splendide sur nusa ceningan, le service est irréprochable, le personnel est très serviable et chaleureux et puis la chambre avec piscine privée est magnifique et spacieuse, et nous avions chaque matin un sunrise a couper le souffle ! Attention à l’accessibilité, il faut tout de même se préparer à monter et descendre pas mal de marche en fonction d’où se situe la chambre 😉

• Douraa (1/5): Teleurstellend - Personeel was zeer vriendelijke en behulpzaam. Prachtige uitzicht Teleurstellend verblijf – mooie beloftes, slechte realiteit Wij verbleven hier 2 nachten. Het personeel was zonder uitzondering vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en zij deden echt hun best om er iets van te maken. Helaas weegt dat niet op tegen de staat van het hotel zelf. We zijn duidelijk misleid door de reviews en de beschrijving van het hotel. Nergens wordt vermeld dat het hotel zich letterlijk op een berg bevindt met een enorme hoeveelheid trappen. Voor onze rooftop pool kamer moesten we volledig naar beneden, en zelfs voor het ontbijt moesten we in etappes naar boven lopen vanwege de hitte – terwijl wij sportief zijn en dit normaal gesproken geen probleem zou moeten zijn. Daarnaast is het pijnlijk om te zien dat het personeel de koffers naar boven en beneden moet dragen via al deze trappen. Dit voelt simpelweg niet oké en lijkt op uitbuiting. Een bagagelift zou hier absoluut geen overbodige luxe zijn. De eerste kamer die wij kregen was ronduit slecht: vies en slecht onderhouden. De deurklink van de badkamer brak vrijwel direct af en de douchekop was volledig verroest, waardoor er nauwelijks waterdruk was. Het zwembad lag vol met steentjes en de indeling van de badkamer was onlogisch (douchen naast het toilet en toiletrolhouder). Na ons beklag kregen we een andere kamer, die iets beter was, maar nog steeds onder de maat. De lakens bleken niet verschoond; koffievlekken zaten er nog in. Kortom: het personeel verdient een compliment, maar het hotel zelf is zwaar verouderd en slecht onderhouden. De eigenaar zou hier echt in moeten investeren, zowel in de faciliteiten als in betere werkomstandigheden voor het personeel. Wij zouden hier niet nogmaals verblijven.

Beautiful view Bathroom would work better if there was some glass wall or something, or at least water hose, cause the dirt from the pond got everywhere. So our feet were dirty constant, especially bad when you go to bed. Road is quite bad but not the hotel fault

Apart from the breakfast and cleanliness everything was average - It was very clean and staff was very helpful The infrastructure made it difficult to reach different areas of the property. Too many stairs to climb. Thr shower didn’t work properly and we had brown color water coming out on one day. There was construction happening right opposite which made it noisy all day.

• Maria (8/5): It’s a lovely place to wind down and relax.the view is stunning - The hotel has a stunning view overlooking the sea and Nusa Penida. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Massage was very good by Ibu Komang. The food is a bit average. It often so salty and not many choices of Indonesian food. It caters more to western. So don’t expect fried banana or coconut juice for Indonesian people. Location is a bit far away from any restaurants so need to hire a motorbike.

• Faizanm (9/5): A peaceful hillside escape with breathtaking views and warm hospitality - I recently stayed at The Acala Shri in Nusa Lembongan and booked the Pool Villa, and it was an incredible experience. The room was very spacious, and the private outdoor pool area feels like it’s hanging right off the edge of the hill, overlooking the most stunning view. You can see the seaweed farms between Lembongan and Ceningan, with beautiful turquoise water stretching out in front of you – it’s honestly one of those views you don’t get tired of. The bed was extremely comfortable and came with a full mosquito net around it, which made sleeping very cozy and relaxed. Because the property is located on a hill, it’s very close to nature and has a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. The staff were also very kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend The Acala Shri to my friends and family, especially to anyone looking for a scenic, relaxing getaway in Lembongan. What I didn’t like was mainly related to access. Reaching the hotel by taxi is fine, but the road near the property is in very poor condition. To get to the pool villa, you need to climb down several stairs, and when returning to the main reception you have to go back up quite a lot of steps. This might be challenging for guests with mobility issues or those carrying heavy luggage. Because of this, I’d recommend not bringing too many bags. That said, the hotel staff are extremely helpful and always assist with carrying luggage during both check-in and check-out, and the beautiful view from the villa definitely makes up for the effort.

• Matilda (10/5): 10/10 hotel with amazing views and amazing staff! - 10/10 staff and views, would definitely recommend this hotel. The ocean view is amazing, they organising a romantic dinner which was amazing and they altered the menu to our liking, and helped with planning a proposal! It was hard to get to the first time, and the roads aren’t too smooth! Also lots and lots of stairs so potentially not ideal for some.

Co do lokalizacji - gdyby nie był położony hotel tak wysoko, to nie byłoby tak pięknych widoków.. Pokój z prywatnym basenem mógłby być czystszy, w szczególności basen oraz łóżko na zewnątrz (pościel).

• Byron (10/5): Amazing stay and outstanding staff - Such a lovely stay here, the staff were outstanding and catered to our every need. The food is fantastic especially the breakfast that was included with our stay. We also purchased massages which was well worth the money! When we left one of our phones in a restaurant on the other side of the island, one of the staff picked it up for us and delivered it to our room. Outstanding stay through and through. Quite a lot of steps but good for a little trek before breakfast!
• Anniken (2/5): Ikke book dette rommet dersom du ønsker å få benyttet deg av fasilitetene du betaler for og ønsker å slappe av… - Vi bodde på rommet «Rooftop Pool Villa». Dette rommet ligger veldig uheldig til mtp at naboen er i startfasen med å bygge ett hotell. Vårt rom lå nærmest til, hvor byggingen fant sted. Under vårt opphold fra kl.9 om morgningen til 5/6 på kvelden holdt de på med å hakke i fjellet. Det var såpass høyt og det ristet i vegger og gulv at det gikk ikke an å oppholde seg verken innendørs eller utendørs på rommet. Vi informerte en ansatt i resepsjonen, men fikk beskjed om at de ikke kunne gjøre noe med dette. I tillegg opplevde vi de ansatte mindre imøtekommende enn hva vi erfarte alle de andre plassene vi har på Bali.

• JEAN-CHARLES (8/5): Très belles prestations avec une vue au lever de soleil à couper le souffle - Nous avions une chambre avec piscine privative sur notre balcon. La chambre était très grande avec une vue extraordinaire. Le personnel a été aux petits soins pour nous, du début à la fin. Il y des navettes qui vous emmènent en ville à 3 endroits différents. Attention comme l'hôtel est en hauteur sur une falaise, il y a beaucoup de marches à monter et descendre, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé. Il y avait des travaux dans la journée proche de notre chambre, mais pas de l'hôtel, donc ils n'y pouvaient rien. Il faudrait plus de ceintres dans la chambre, et attention on entend beaucoup les coqs et les chiens errants aboyer, donc parfois difficile de dormir le matin.
• Max2312 (3/5): Gravierende Mängel, Täuschung und Enttäuschung - Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Aussicht vom Pool bzw. den Poolvillas Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, unser Aufenthalt in Ihrem Haus war leider in weiten Teilen unzumutbar und entspricht in keiner Weise dem, was man von einem Hotel Ihrer Preiskategorie erwarten würde. Bereits zu Beginn wurden uns Roller angeboten, deren Bremsen defekt waren. Helme wurden – als einziges Hotel unserer Bali-Reise – nicht bereitgestellt, was bei der Verkehrssituation in der Umgebung absolut unverantwortlich ist. Die Lage Ihres Hotels ist extrem abgelegen, die Anfahrt ausschließlich mit Roller oder Taxi möglich, die Straße bis auf die letzten 200 Meter katastrophal. Für Gäste, die mobil eingeschränkt sind, ist dies schlicht inakzeptabel. Darüber hinaus mussten wir über eine Stunde auf unseren zweiten Koffer warten. Währenddessen waren wir sofort dem Baulärm ausgesetzt, der entgegen der Zusage der Rezeption nicht sofort aufhörte, sondern bis 18 Uhr andauerte – und schon ab 7 Uhr morgens wieder begann. Der schwerwiegendste Vorfall betraf die Sicherheit: In der gebuchten Villa war die Poolleiter nicht fixiert, wodurch ein ernsthaftes Verletzungsrisiko entstand. Meine Mutter konnte nur knapp einen Sturz verhindern. Dass das Hotel in dieser Situation zunächst eine „Lösung“ anbot, diese aber letztlich so verwirrend kommunizierte, dass wir auf den Kosten sitzen blieben, empfinde ich als inakzeptabel und grob fahrlässig. Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt geprägt von mangelnder Sicherheit, unzureichendem Service und erheblichem Lärm, was ihn in keiner Weise entspannend oder angenehm machte. Ich fordere eine zeitnahe und angemessene Stellungnahme sowie eine Entschädigung für die gravierenden Unannehmlichkeiten.

• Susana (10/5): An Oasis of tranquility with amazing views - We had the most wonderful 2 days at Acala celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary. The staff were absolutely fantastic, they surprised us with an upgrade and decorated our bed with beautiful flowers. The pool and restaurant area has such an amazing energy, and the food was delicious, with breakfast being absolutely outstanding. The live music in the evenings was the cherry on top. Our stay was perfect, and we can’t wait to come back!

• Nicola (8/5): - The hotel offers a stunning view and excellent service. However, the houses are poorly built and extremely noisy — it feels as if there are no walls at all. Sound insulation is almost non-existent, which affects sleep quality and privacy.

For the price having very unreliable water was not fantastic. We moved to a different room during our stay and did not have this issue

• Emma (8/5): Nice hotel set in a stunning location - Beautiful setting, view & grounds, comfy well equipped room. The free shuttle was also handy The road immediately to the property isn’t great, but this is true of many more remotely located Indonesian properties. There are also many steps as our accommodation was at the very bottom of the grounds
• Paul (9/5): Stunning location, friendly staff who made our stay very pleasurable. - The staff were amazing, very helpful and made us feel really welcome. The bathroom smelt a little damp but it was after a very heavy downpour and we can’t blame them for the weather.
• Aleksandra (10/5): Relaxing break - Nusa Lembongan was our 6th stop on our honeymoon travelling around Bali and we chose this hotel and the rooftop pool villa to be able to relax after a few busy days. This hotel is beautiful, our villa was huge and the rooftop pool was lovely and so private and the space outside was great to relax in the evening. The main pool area was amazing with an infinity pool and views to die for! We had breakfast both mornings which was very tasty and we also had dinner in the restaurant one of the nights which was also great, we could not complain at all. The staff are absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. Be mindful this hotel has a lot of steps up and down to the rooms, wasn’t an issue for us but definitely something to consider if you have walking difficulties. The only tiny thing was the ladder to the private rooftop pool was a little unsteady, not a major issue though.

• Shayini (9/5): Great boutique resort - Beautiful boutique hotel! The staff are incredibly helpful and kind! They are great conversationalists too, so you'll never feel out of place! The rooms are of great size and feel luxurious no matter which tier you book into, thanks to the view surrounding the resort. There's one public pool available, it's the best place to watch the sunrise, and Acala has the best sunrise views ever ! The Jala restaurant is located within the resort and you get the fantastic opportunity to have breakfast with them every day during the stay! The view is truly breathtaking! Overall the experience was fantastic! A special thank you to all staff members, especially to Mr Riyan, Mr Roi, Mr Nur and Mrs Ari In terms of improvements, cleanliness could be better. The resort is surrounded by nature which adds to it's charm, but also introduces humidity and a lot of creatures. So the rooms need a deep clean to remove strong odours of humidity and sometimes lizards 🥹. Nonetheless, you can always let the staff know of any concerns and they are more than accommodating to support you. I've had occasions where I had to request a change of sheets and towels and the service was very quick and efficient! The resort has a lot of stairs, this might not be suitable for those with mobility issues. The staff will help you with luggage (which honestly is super impressive to see given the humidity and the number of stairs!). The roads around the resort and in Nusa lemboghan in general is rough. This seems to be a common issue across the island and not uniquely about Acala. The hotel however is putting effort to create roads more accessible to and from the hotel which honestly is so thoughtful of them! The spa was good, but can be better in terms of massages and health checks before providing massages. If you have any skin allergies or physical health issues, please let the spa staff members know. Maybe use Google translate to avoid any misunderstanding. Because they do not ask you about this before using scrubs, oils or facials. As part of the welcoming to the hotel, or even when using the spa as a couple, they will offer you a flower bath. This honestly is the most beautiful thing ever and the smells of the flowers are gorgeous! But watch out for tiny green worms🐛 from the flowers! Don't spend too much time with flowers in the flower bath!

• Catalina (10/5): THE BEST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT! Amazing. Favorite island. - The hotel is stunning, a whole experience. We enjoyed every second here. The staff was so sweet and the restaurant was delicious! AMAZING breakfast so many options to choose from (no limits). Rooms were impeccable and very luxurious. Nothing. Even though it is 15 minutes away from the mains streets of the island, it’s an amazing place. Don’t let the location push you back. There are scooter rentals and free shuttles.
• Seonhye (10/5): 도착하는순간 힐링시작. 일박은 짧아요 최소2박해야할곳 - 여기가 프랑스인들에게 유명한곳인지 숙박하고나서야알았어요. 한국인은 저희가족밖에 없었구요 조용하게 chill하러 온 사람들이 주여서 굉장히 차분하고 편안한 스테이였어요. 렘봉안에서 서양인들에게만 친절했던 드림비치헛 숙소경험으로 인종차별을 직접적으로 느껴 걱정했었는데 이곳 지배인의 서비스마인드가 참 훌륭했어요. 완전 추천합니다

We expected some given the location but it felt excessive. As mentioned in reviews, there are lots of steps but this is required for the views! Service in the restaurant could be more attentive.

Breakfast portions were ridiculously small - barely enough for a toddler. Caterpillar found on our food the first day. However you could order multiple breakfasts without issue. Bed was very creaky, woke us up during the night Sheets were dirty, looked like they had been dropped in the street Rooms were quite run down with damp coming through the en suite walls Lots of steps down to the rooms which can be tough in the heat Roads up to the hotel are in bad condition for those using scooters Prices in the restaurant were far too high, 90k for a large Bintang Wifi wasn't good

My clothes that were in my bag ended up smelling like mould/ sewer blend after the 3 nights here and had to be washed although they weren’t worn.

• Yohanah (7/5): Nice little stay - Beautiful scenic view and lovely staff. The room was large and had big shower and outdoor bath. The roads to get up there are breaking down, the water supply to the room shut off multiple times and the restaurant was okay quality food, but convenient.
• Larissa (7/5): Good - The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the view of the pool was great. We had read some reviews about the outdoor bathroom and so I opted for the room with a regular bathroom. When we arrived at reception we were given an "upgrade" - guess what? - to the room with the outdoor bathroom. The bathroom is UNUSABLE, the aesthetics are nice, but the smell of pee is extremely strong. Worse than any public bathroom I've ever been to. In our case, taking a shower was a sacrifice and to use the toilet, we were going down to the restaurant bathroom every day and every night. Without a doubt, this was the only flaw in the accommodation, apart from that... everything was great.

• Paul (10/5): Fantastic service, beautiful views - We stayed in a private pool villa with a stunning view over Cheningan. The facilities are beautiful, wonderful and helpful staff. Great restaurant - everything was very clean and comfortable. Use the 'back gate' for an easy walk to the yellow bridge area. We hired a motorbike and explored Lembonghan and Cheningan - just stunning. Must eat at DMA's Warung and Putu's Warrung - the best food in both places!!! If a motorbike/scooter is not your thing take advantage of the free transfers to major sites. Lembonghan is like Bali was 30 years ago - quieter, cleaner, beautiful people and lovely beaches. We really liked everything - as others have said it is built on a hill so lots of stairs which would be difficult with mobility issues. It is more isolated although easy walk to Putu and DMAs Warungs for dinner and easy to walk to the yellow bridge and cross to get to some fantastic beach bars.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. The spa is also a very big plus if you enjoy massages :) You can book easily trips around the islands with the hotel. The restaurant was a bit overpriced considering the quantity and the quality.

A particular highlight was the live music at the restaurant. Special thanks to Nur, Didi, Utah and all the other staff for such great service.

• Jj (8/5): secluded retreat - The view was great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming We had to downgrade to an older style room due to the pool ladder being very dangerous, and falling apart, there was also a rat running around in the new room. It is also a long distance to the main shopping area and restaurants the road out there is not the best. There are many, many steps in the resort, around 120, to get to the villa with the rooftop pool.

• Dóra (7/5): Good - The hotel has a free shuttle on the island. The breakfast is delicious and you can choose more than 1 item. You have to take a lot of stairs to get to your room which can be uncomfortable every day and more time a day. It is not like in a hotel at all.. Our bathroom smelled very very badly and we couldn’t do anything about is. Also the bed had a uniqu smell and I couldn’t sleep well because of it :/
• Adrienne (10/5): Great hotel with a view - Great hotel room was just what we wanted and the view from the pool and pool bed was great! Bed was comfy and the staff couldn’t do anymore for you! Having the shuttle was perfect to get around and explore. Food in the restaurant was lovely. Tip we found out On the last day was if you go down towards the spa from there you can walk 15 minutes to the yellow bridge Only downside was the amount of steps you had to go up and down in the heat but it is worth it!!

• Christopher (3/5): Very bad, save money, time and effort by staying nearer to the port. - We could see the sun rise from our room Staff member “Roy” was nice and very helpful Please be aware that we are so confused as to why this hotel is so highly rated. If we had our time again we would stay closer to the port and save a lot of money, time and effort by doing so. As a result of these problems we cut our stay here 2 days short: Everyday we had to climb 160+ stairs to get to and from the lobby - the closer your room is to #827 the worse it will be for you. The shower floor doesn’t drain properly and floods on one side. The fridge makes a lot of noise, we had to turn it off to be able to sleep. You can hear any noise coming from outside your room door loud and clearly. What no one has highlighted is that the hotel is located off the main road - meaning half of your journey leading up to the hotel is on an undeveloped road, making it very uncomfortable to get to and especially bad after the boat ride. The staff in the restaurant were very laid back, and not very attentive to the guests. One night it took 45 minutes for them to bring our food, one of which was completely wrong. No apology was given.

A special thank you to Roy at the Reception, who holds the ship together and takes care of every guest... From shuttle and taxi bookings to special birthday requests🙏🏾♥️ Only 2 critics I have is: 1) Cleanliness... The rooms and facilities need a good deep clean. They really have not had a proper clean in a while, and it shows. 2) Food at the Jala Restaurant was very mid and basic.
• Piers (10/5): - Front desk staff incredibly generous and understanding. Most hospitality staff in Bali/Lombongan are awesome, but these guys were next level!! Thanks for your insight and friendly approach.
• Alice (8/5): Very good - The views from our room were beautiful, overlooking Nusa Ceningan. The room was spacious, loved the outdoor bath and day bed. The staff were friendly. Local scooter rental just down the road. Restaurant food was pretty good. Main pool was really nice. It’s further from the port, but gives you a different experience and when you hire a scooter you can access more of the islands. The pool in our room was the main let down, stunning views from the pool but there were white paint chips floating all through it and you could see it coming off the side. The ladder to get into the pool was also on its last legs. The roads everywhere are bumpy, not just to the hotel.
• Christian (5/5): Not worth the way, stay in Bali! - Our room was lovely with a private pool and a very comfortable bed. It had all the necesities. The road to get there was horrible with many bumps, no light and there’s nothing around it. It ended up raining on our last day and to get up to the lobby we ended up literally soaked as there is no shelter along the way from the room up to the lobby, apart from the 100 steps which were exhausting.
