Despite this, my daughter's insistence led us to use the pool, which subsequently resulted in me experiencing nocturnal pruritus.

Property has outdated kitchen and cupboards and carpet in dining area needs to be replaced. Spiral staircase at front is an accident waiting to happen.

The back yard was full of junk, motorbikes and the shed over looking pool was opened and more junk around the pool yard, people were coming and Going from the flat downstairs it just didn't feel comfortable

• Sulayman Latief (3/5): Not worth paying a low rate for an uncomfortable stay. - It was close to Hunter Valley Gardens. There was a foul smell in the air. On one of the nights we killed at least 7 big cockroaches throughout the house. My family weren’t able to sleep thereafter.

• Marjeat (7/5): Good - The owners and cleaners were helpful. Untidy when we turned up due to a communication breakdown between owners and cleaners ,but was sorted. Hand rails on the staircase are very low. The apartment could do with a bit of maintenance. And the add on booking.com needs to be updated and be made refundable so if you want to change your booking or get caught out by the automated message you get after you have paid like we did.
• Leanne (4/5): Location was good but due to the infestation of birds in the roof which caused lack of sleep and the uncared for and age - The kids enjoyed the pool There were birds nesting in the roof which woke us up with their extremely loud carry on at 4:30 every morning. The place had a musty dingy smell to it and was quite unclean. The oven was filthy. The fans were filthy. It was very obvious that no love is put into the house- the whole interior was very old and run down- badly fixed up holes in the walls, stained dated carpet, dirty dated lounge, the kitchen cupboards and drawers were dirty and broken. The linen, towels, cups, plates, cutlery etc were all mismatched and looked like they had been picked up from a local Salvation Army shop. Locks on bedroom doors but no locks on toilet or bathroom doors. For the money we paid we did expect better.

Had all utensils, cooking appliances and all cockery required. It would be good to identify the units if they were upstairs or downstairs when people book due to medical conditions people may have. In this case if it was identified then I must have some how missed it.

There is a nice pool behind the backyard. Located near to the vineyards and Hunter valley tourist spots. Located upstairs and inconvenient for old folks to access.

Some nice stores, fuel pump and playgrounds are all quite close to the place.Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Nothing much, just the living/dining area carpet needs to be replaced.

You could comfortably have a large family staying here. Lovely pool (a few loose or missing tiles, but nothing to worry about) Different places to sit indoors/ outdoors- front balcony and rear garden Lots of storage space Lights flickered a little, that made my daughter a little wary The bottom bunk mattresses were bumpy and uncomfortable More floor grip-tape strip on the stairs would be welcome, as the spiral staircase can get slippery when raining. A few more normal sized glasses would be nice, if I was being really picky. No dishwasher, that wasn’t a problem for us, but worth considering if you are picky.

Facilities old and in need of repairs - Holes in the walls, windows broken, spare key not there as advised, not enough towels left out as specifically advised, toilet leaking and shower area dangerous as very slippery (had a disabled person with us which was an issue with the shower)

It was dark and wet on arrival and the sensor lights werent working and we had to use our phones. Used the back stairs after this which are a lot safer in the wet but side passage had no light Couldn’t find towels initially - found on a large box in living room. Lighting in bedroom 1 was inadequate for reading in bed

Netflix etc. good, sturdy furniture, well cleaned before our arrival. There was no dishwasher. A couple of knocks etc but nothing that detracts from using the property to its fullest and probably less than my house. that's about it

And I can’t forget the hosts David and Hillary were very welcoming and responsive and whoever cleans the property is very thorough and pays great attention to detail ,thankyou for having us. Ally and family. I didnt get to take full advantage of the pool since weather was lousy, and I was unable to extended my time to stay a little longer

• Sai (5/5): Overall, I would say that this property has some great features, but also has some areas that could use improvement. If - On the positive side, the location was fantastic. It was situated in a great area that was close to many attractions and amenities. The property itself was also quite spacious, with plenty of room to move around. The ducted air conditioning was also a plus, as it kept the place cool and comfortable during the hot summer days. The pool was another highlight of the property, providing a great place to swim and relax. The balcony offered great views of the surrounding area. For one, the cleanliness of the place left something to be desired. There were some areas that were not properly cleaned, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, some of the amenities were not in the best condition. For example, the carpets were very old and dirty, which detracted from the overall experience. The kitchen was not fully equipped, and there was no dishwasher, which made meal preparation and cleanup more difficult. The furniture was also not in the best condition and had a strong pet odor. Furthermore, I found that the online reviews of the property were not entirely accurate. The main reason for the 5-star reviews was that the owners promoted a draw for people leaving 5-star reviews, which is not ethical at all. This made me question the authenticity of the reviews and whether they truly reflected the state of the property.
