Guest Reviews
- Theresa (8/5): - I didn't know there was breakfast. The location is good. Front desk reception was good and cleanliness was good. Having a kitchen was great- would help if there was a dish towel in the kitchen to use. The person in a room above me could be heard walking back and forth at night and in am- very loud. Heater kept going on and off and was loud and woke me up several times. Pillows were so puffy, I had to use my rolled up sweater to sleep on, otherwise I would have gotten a tweaked neck.
- Maria (10/5): -
- Williams (8/5): Great Stay! -
- Zhe (10/5): - Great location. Safeway is nearby, very convenient if you want to cook by your self to save money.
- Janet (7/5): Friendly staff. - We had a great view of the mountains and water.
It is located for a perfect walk to the beach. Coffee was served at 7:30 which is late for us.
- Cindy (10/5): - Loved the location and room amenities. The mini kitchen was great!!
- annie (10/5): - So far, it is one of the top two hotels we liked during tgis 10-day trip
- Yan (10/5): - Across street from Safeway. Room is equipped with a kitchenette, so convenient to cook a simple meal if you don’t want to dine out. Very friendly staff. Comfortable, clean and spacious room
- zohar (9/5): - מלון חדש יחסית. חדרים נוחים ומרווחים, עובד מקסים בקבלה אמבטיה ולא מקלחת.
- Rena (10/5): - Hotel was nice, clean but no amenities at all, elevator was scary, definitely needed repair.
- Rachel (8/5): - The property and rooms are very clean and comfortable. The rooms are very big and the kitchenette was perfect for what we needed! The hotel is conveniently located across from the grocery store and walkable just across the street. It is a quick 10 minute drive down to the Homer Spit. I would recommend to anyone visiting Homer!
- Esenam (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Staying in a ship was great
- jeffrey (10/5): - Honestly for the price there’s better options than the aspen. The best western offers nicer rooms and a decent free breakfast. This place just doesn’t have anything to offer and the staff are average at best. Comparing the experience of staying at both hotels it became clear that the best western was the better value and the staff seemed to be happier with their job than the ones at the aspen.
- Norman (10/5): - Great location facilities and people were top notch!!
- Scott (10/5): -
- Brenda (10/5): - Nice big rooms. Very clean. Good location. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast should be included for the price. Other than that, would stay again if in this area.
- Paul (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Strickland (9/5): Superb -
- Lila (8/5): Comfortable Quiet Bedding comfortable - Front Desk Staff. Luka!! Nice landscaping !! Property was fine. Facility was convenient. Pricing was appropriate. Thank you.

- Denise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): - It was great waking up and listening to birds from the room.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Nice well kept room and very nice staff.
- colton (10/5): - Quiet
- Steven (8/5): - The town was still in winter shut down and not many places to eat at night.
- Allen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great place but beds are too hard and lumpy. - Everything was good except I am still in pain from sleeping on the beds my 15 year old and 3 year old did not sleep well either the beds need replacing.
- Kyu (10/5): - Come back
- John (10/5): What a Wonderful Stay - There is not enough space to say how wonderful this stay was. I first would like to say Thank you to Elisibeth and Gene for selecting me as the VIP of the day. I am a regular @ the Homer Aspen, and the Anchorage Aspen, and have never had a bad stay. The VIP status was a mega bonus, as my wife and I were on a quick night on the town, from Nikiski to see The Irish Treo Play Homer. Thank you again for the great experiene and the little extra as the VIP for the Day.
- Beverly (8/5): Will stay again - Great place. Only negatives are no breakfast options on-site and the wi-fi was spotty, which was more relevant to me since I was working remotely during our stay.
- Don (8/5): - Pretty Short Staffed but that might be the area.
- anthony (8/5): - Perfect
- Sheila (10/5): Nice stay - Always nice, clean, and comfortable.
- Bob (10/5): Would recommend - They were courtious and the rooms were adequate and comfortable
- Vasile (8/5): - For the location the hotel is in, it was worth choosing it. I wasn't wowed about it, but I can't complain either. It was average, perhaps just a little above average. Best thing was that there was a grocery supermarket right across the street, it came in very handy. Overall, it was good. Staff was friendly (not the friendliest), the hotel wasn't dirty (not the cleanest), I recommend this hotel.
- jerrold (10/5): - Great property
- Soo (7/5): The kitchennet was fully stocked and and all fuctioning. The staff were frinedly. - I asked for a quiet room. The room was placed on the third floor but facing the busy street, I woke up in the middle of night when a truck passing by that hiting the bump. After that, I was not able to fall back to sleep. :(
- lexi (10/5): - Kind staff and quiet place.
- Vic (10/5): - Clean, close to everything and friendly staff.
- Allisen (10/5): - The rooms were awesome. One the best places I have ever stayed at. Large room, nice view (water side) clean. Across the street from Safeway..convenient
- Jill (10/5): - Excellent! Clean & spacious. Comfortable bed...
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Doreen (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. Nice newer hotel with a small kitchen. Staff was very nice, although they had limited staff on there was a bell at the desk you would ring and they would come in a timely manner. Laundry room on site which was nice for a long trip, and I felt safe to leave my clothes there while I did other things. There was a trail behind the hotel that you could walk down to the beach and the wetlands area. We’d love to stay again!
- Michael (10/5): - Very nice suite
- Doug (10/5): - Nice people. Convenient location for Homer fishing
- Cliff (10/5): - Nice property
- Veronica (10/5): - I loved that the Alaska Bus Company's bus to the ANC airport left from the hotel parking lot. Very convenient.
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Alvin (10/5): - This was an excellent hotel, and the cost was very reasonable. I originally planned to stay at the Lands' End Hotel, but the cost was much better at the Aspen Suites Hotel. I would recommend Aspen Suites to any of my friends and family.
- Carl (10/5): - Great location -- Safeway store across the street, less than 10 minutes to the Spit, restaurants nearby. Room was quite nice, although initially we had difficult time seeing name of the hotel (green on green wasn't best choice for signage). Walk across parking lot to the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center -- so much history and information. Enjoyed our time here. Recommend if you're staying in Homer.
- Kathryn (10/5): Nice hotel and friendly staff - We booked a last minute room for a roadtrip down to Homer. I thought we'd be there to check in after 10pm so I made a note about that in our booking. The hotel staff messaged me to ensure that we could still check-in, even after front desk staff leave. I found that very kind and helpful. Check-in was easy, our room was clean and fully stocked. Nice and quiet hotel
- Irfan (10/5): Maybe the best Aspen Suites in Alaska! - Clean, large rooms, great location, just an overall nice place to stay! Wi-Fi needs a little help but overall functional, I would not work from this facility until they get this fixed.
- Brian (10/5): - Haley was super friendly and helpful. We needed to store some things in their freezer while camping and it was no issues. Rooms are large, comfortable, and clean.
- William (10/5): No -
- Benjamin (10/5): - NA
- Rene (10/5): - Great place overall! Love the suite room
Have everything I need it !!!
- Olga (10/5): - Very nice and clean property. I would stay again.
- Jody (2/5): - The man who checked us in was not only very rude, but he had ZERO idea of his own company’s policies- he asked us to give home our 3 reservations- we had 1 reservations with 3 people in the room. That took close to 20 minutes of conversation at the front desk. Horrible staff! The maid walked in without even knocking or saying she was coming in, then she just left. I’m not sure if people think since they live in Homer and most customers are tourists they can get away with providing horrible service, but I am an Alaskan Native and a native Alaskan and I would NEVER recommend staying here.
- Cecelia (10/5): - Had everything you would need. Wish we could have stayed longer
- Jeanne Marie (10/5): - Clean and comfortable! The barn door to the bathroom doesn’t latch, so it could be a challenge with young children.
- Anthony (8/5): - Staff seemed a little overwhelmed with the volume of guests, but overall was great.
- Keith (7/5): Good -
- Dorothy (10/5): - Great service at check in
- Nancy (10/5): - Great coffee available in the lobby; grocery store and pharmacy right across the street & visitor center for wildlife preserve right next door. The bus from Anchorage stopped right in the parking lot.
- William (10/5): - Good value and accomodating staff.
- Cheryl (10/5): I will definitely stay there again -
- Thomas (10/5): - Very clean and nice
- Jorge (10/5): - Excellent. New hotel in outstanding condition.
- Kayla (8/5): - Enjoyed my stay
- Debbie (10/5): - Very clean and nice room , staff was great . Convenient location would definitely stay there again !
- Donna (10/5): - We loved this hotel.
- Nicole (10/5): - Our room was clean and comfortable. It was nice and quiet
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Great stay.
- Misono (10/5): - Convenient for shop and restaurant!
- Ryan (8/5): - Room was not ready when it was supposed to be. We also received the accessible room. The staff was very nice, bed was comfortable. Room was very clean and quite.
- Joseph (8/5): - asdf
- kyle (10/5): - Was a great stay
- Pam (10/5): - Very nice place to stay.
- Sally (8/5): - They upgraded us to a suite that was in a building beside the hotel. It was wonderful, but my grandson had to sleep on a hide a bed, which was fine. He didn’t care and it was nice to have a private bedroom. But I had to move the coffee maker into my bathroom and he had to go through my bedroom to get to the bathroom But it was a nice place to stay, and the people were very helpful
- Kyle (10/5): Kyle from Alaska - Very nice, clean and friendly
- thomas (8/5): - nice location
- Eric (10/5): - Enjoyed the stay
- John (10/5): Great location - This place is a gem, great location and service. Also, comfortable and newer.
- Philip (10/5): - The area behind the property had great accessible walking trails on the marsh and onto Bishop Beach. Views from the property were amazing!!!!
- Teresa (7/5): Good -
- Dennis (10/5): - Big clean comfortable rooms and everything worked. No broken locks or bad tv reception. Quite, nice staff. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Homer AK - We’ve stayed here many times and always been pleased with service and room.
- Susan (10/5): - The accommodations were beyond our expectations. Convenient to everything in Homer. Spotless room and excellent staff! We will be returning!
- Allison (10/5): - Great stay.
- Elena (10/5): - Very clean and nice place. Definitely will be staying again!
- Stephen Richard (10/5): - Very clean. Nice sized rooms.
- Anna (10/5): - Big nice room, comfortable beds and good size bathroom. Very convenient and feels safe. Highly recommend
- Laura (10/5): - Great room, hotel staff very helpful. Quiet, nice view of the bay.
- MARGIE (6/5): - Nice location to major grocery store and restaurants. The place smelled weird. Needs a little sprucing up in the lobby area.
- Ivelisse (10/5): - Helpful staff. Very convenient and nice well kept location. I would suggest they get rid of the carpet in the rooms, especially for people who suffers from allergies.
I would stay here again!
- David (10/5): - Only problem was our rate on Expedia was more than $50 a nite more expensive than the hotel would have charged us directly.
- Holly (8/5): - Great place
- Chris (10/5): - Friendly staff and nice convenient area. Had a guest laundry which we needed after fishing trip before we got on cruise ship next day. They dont come to make bed or clean until stay is over- maybe by request only. Have to take towels and washcloths to exchange at front desk.
- Will (10/5): - Great hotel and service. Convenient location and nice rooms.
