- 535gautamv (2/5): Great Location, Poorly Managed Property - The hotel has an excellent location, right on Benaulim Beach, but beyond that, nothing about the property works. They don’t even maintain a proper reception—just a small IT room that doubles as the reception area. There are no welcome drinks, no orientation, and no one to explain the property layout, restaurants, bars, or facilities. The room design is extremely odd. There are no hooks in the bathroom, the toilet jet spray is dangerously powerful with no way to control or reduce the pressure, and the bathtub is placed on the balcony, fully visible from surrounding rooms—completely bizarre and uncomfortable. Staff service is below par. You need to follow up repeatedly, and even then many things simply don’t get done. Room service and housekeeping are consistently delayed and inefficient. At one point, the housekeeping staff informed me that they didn’t have sugar or tea sachets to replenish the room—unacceptable for a so-called premium property. Breakfast was another daily struggle. The options were limited, food quality was poor, and the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Items were frequently not refilled, crockery was missing, and orders were extremely delayed. Overall, this property is one to avoid. Despite positioning itself as a premium hotel, even mid-tier hotels offer far better service, management, and guest experience.
- raytechraytech (2/5): WORST THAN 3 STAR HOTEL, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY - Hotel is dead now, zero maitenace, zero service. We arrived at 3 pm on 25th dec (peak season), no welcome no one at reception, room was not ready they gave room at 4.30pm with no proper housekeeping done in room, towel, bathing essentials were missing. Swimming pool is in unsafe condition all over inside and outside pool tiles are broken, bath tub in room was non operational. Resturant including beach side is dead no staff take order or deliver

While everything is great and the staff try their best to make it easy for the guests...it's the little functionality flaws which create misery ...the exhausting system in the room is a major problem because of which the rooms are stinky . Most of the dishes on the menu are not available as basic ingredients are not available with the kitchen team...we could not have cappuccino throughout our stay as their coffee machine was out of order.Such things are not expected in a 5 star .To cheer us up , Rosamind Fernandes did his best to bring a smile to our face. I would request the management to solve the functional issues as otherwise its a good property.

- gauravshr82 (6/5): My Aniversary vacay at Azaya - The property’s amenities looked good but had issues. We had mosquitoes in the room, the shower room was choking each time some1 bathed. The swimming pool looked beautiful but when I went to swim in it the water level was just 2.5-3 feet. I asked them to increase level they said they hav instructed the concerned but nothing happened. Then I realised the pool water level was never more than 3 feet and it is more of a show pool. Food was ok soups & starter were good but main course was not so great. Curries were bland. They dont have a goan chef at all, which was quite disappointing. So all in all an average stay for us. After paying so heavily for the deluxe pool room, the resort did not provide value for money. Whenever I would highlight these issues, the guest manager would simply say sorry sorry for everything and would try hard to rectify it. But after paying such huge amts one would not expect the above issues to comeup at the first place. I have stayed at Hotel st-regis, which is very near to this property, they really know how to delight a customer. The only highlight on this trip was my marriage anniversary dinner arranged by Mr pulak at the beach at there blue iris restraunt. The food was good & they had done pretty good decoration. We enjoyed it a lot.

Toufiq specially was very cordial and was there to help even on his day off. We got a room upgrade as well and they too celebrated our anniversary with a nice room decor and a beautiful cake. - seekingsunshine110 (2/5): GIVE THIS HOTEL A MISS - We were moved to this hotel due to an unplanned extension to our holiday . This hotel has the potential to be a beautiful Boutique Hotel. However, the place is falling apart and the buildings look run down, covered in mould and crumbling apart. The swimming pool was half full, the bottom tiles were broken and left there, the edges were crumbling. A labourer was sanding the decking and it was all settling in the pool. The staff on reception are useless, when we were making a complaint, and we asked to see a manager, seven members of staff hid behind a wall . Give this hotel a miss .

- 441lizl (10/5): Peaceful hotel with direct access onto the BEACH! - We had a unique and wonderful experience at the Azaya. Travelling at the end of monsoon season we had the place to ourselves. All of the staff at this hotel were absolutely fantastic and made our stay so memorable. We ate brilliantly despite a smaller buffet option as the chefs made us food to order. One of our party had his very first Vindaloo and loved it. The pool was lovely and warm and access to the beach is a HUGE plus. The rooms were well equipped and spacious with plenty of room to store our stuff. One of two repairs were underway to prepare for the busy season but we had no major disruptions. Overall a fantastic week of relaxing, sunshine, good food and peace and quiet. Thanks for a great time!

They understood the challenges of traveling with a baby and proactively addressed our needs. A highlight of our stay was the resort's thoughtfulness regarding our little one's meals. They provided plain paranthas, khichdi, and milk around the clock, which was a lifesaver. This simple gesture made our days so much easier and less stressful, as we didn't have to worry about finding suitable and right food for our baby. Beyond the specific amenities, every single staff member was genuinely welcoming and helpful. We were provided with all possible help irt babies needs, chef and other restaurant staff specifically Altaf was very thoughtful regarding this. So if you are traveling with baby, your stay will be very smooth. Room was very nice and clean. Whether it was room service or housekeeping or security guards, everyone was very polite. I would highly recommend this place.

I tried the bibimbap prepared by Chef Ajay Yemkar, which was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with taste. I also had the butter chicken by Chef Funil, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The service was equally outstanding. Aman Kumar looked after us the whole time with such warmth and professionalism, making the experience even more enjoyable.

There was a lovely welcome when we arrived, both in reception and in our room and we were treated to a wonderful little surprise after each time housekeeping had serviced the room - many thanks to Maliston and Kim for this. The resort is on the beach and we enjoyed strolling along the beach and relaxing by the pool, in between the rain showers, as the temperature is still very pleasant in August. All of the staff were extremely welcoming during our visit, with the service in the restaurant being great and the food thoroughly enjoyable. Many thanks to Vinayak the Chef plus Aftab, Sohil and Vaibhavi who looked after us so well in the restaurant. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Azaya.

About the property: Located right across the South side of Benaulium beach, which is almost like a private beach access, right next to Taj property. Swimming pool for the kids and adults which is also fun. The property arranged for Hi-tea every evening and a game of housie that kept the guests engaged and lightened the mood. The walk on the curated laws, winding pathways and above all the serenity of the location made our stay an amazing and relaxing one. What we liked the most: Quick check-in, huge bed which could fit almost 4 people, clean rooms. Most importantly the staff made us feel so very welcomed with their warmth and kindness that it felt like home. They were quick in responding to any queries and requests we had. I would definitely recommend this property and will visit again.

We had a few initial issues with our room (it seems a few wings at the hotel need refurbishing), but the team was incredibly attentive — Sanjana and Rajat ensured we were well looked after, and we were soon upgraded to a stunning pool villa, which made all the difference. Our family of six, were warmly welcomed with beaded garlands and a refreshing pina colada. A wheelchair was immediately arranged for my 90 year old granny, who instantly felt at ease and was able to access the paradise this property is. We had booked three rooms, each of which was a haven of luxury, comfort, hygiene and elegance. The rooms were well-ventilated and spacious, providing the perfect place for rest and relaxation after soaking in the vibrant Goan sun. Azaya Resort is breathtakingly beautiful and it seems to flow seamlessly into the golden sands of the dreamy Benaulim beach which is only few steps away from the property. We soaked in the private plunge pool as well as the sparkling swimming pool whilst sipping on our exotic cocktails. We also thoroughly enjoyed playing Table Tennis and Snooker at the Clubhouse. We felt rejuvenated. It was particularly heartening to see my grandmother feeling liberated in the pool. The resort is set on the beautiful, quiet Benaulim Beach—clean, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing strolls or sunsets by the sea. The lush greenery and calm atmosphere made it a perfect escape. What really stood out was the staff. Auston and Abhinay were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and Miss Sanjana made our experience special with her friendly service and local tips. Their warmth added a personal touch. Azaya is the perfect mix of comfort, nature, and great hospitality. I can’t wait to return!

- 318dhruvm (10/5): 3 Nights stay at Azaya Beach resort, Benaulim - Great resort with amazing sea view and excellent rooms. Quiet and soothing experience as you would expect in South Goa. Breakfast is good and staff is very helpful and provides amazing hospitality (Craig, Manoj). Also house keeping staff (Maliston) was very polite and utmost professional. Loved our stay here and would recommend couples, families, etc to surely visit.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
- 572arulp (10/5): Amazing place to unwind - I stayed here 2 nights this June, though we checked in at midnight, the guest relations received us well and check in was very smooth. Special thanks to Guest relation manager Sanjana, she was in touch with me before arrival and throughout the trip to make sure we had comfortable stay. I had breakfast both days there, food options are pretty good and I tried Ala carte dinner with Mocktails, they were amazing. Thanks To Aftab from dining space, he absolutely took good care. The beach is just about 400 meters from pool I absolutely felt pampered with all facilities n service standards were on par. They found out it's my bday n did a room decor when I was away.. that was pleasant. overall I had a perfect relaxed trip. Look forward to visiting again.

- Maryam (2/5): - I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Azaya Resort in Goa, which was nothing short of a nightmare. I booked one of the highest-rated rooms with a private pool, expecting a luxurious experience, but instead, I encountered multiple serious issues that completely ruined my stay. 1. Air Conditioning Failure: On the first night, the air conditioning in our room was not working, leaving us in extreme discomfort. Despite sending a technician, the issue could not be resolved, forcing us to endure an unbearably hot night. 2. Unclean and Unhygienic Conditions: Both the original and the replacement room were dirty, including the private pool, which was in an unacceptable state. 3. Water Issues: On the second day, the toilet and shower had no running water, making basic hygiene impossible. 4. Damaged Bedding: The bedsheets provided were torn, old, and completely worn out. 5. Pest Infestation: The most shocking issue was the presence of large bugs and cockroaches running throughout the room, making our stay highly uncomfortable and unsanitary. - NorthwestGirl (6/5): Greed before guests - We booked two weeks at Azaya Beach Resort, Goa in October 2023, 16 months ahead of our stay. 17 days before we were due to depart I had an email from our tour operator telling us that the hotel had cancelled our booking because ‘they were overbooked’. I was devastated as we’d chosen the hotel carefully before booking. We’d also got visas and were so looking forward to our holiday. Our tour operator offered another hotel which was a mile from the beach so we rejected it and couldn’t find another hotel we liked so close to departure. We decided to stick with Azaya Beach and put our stay back a week. It meant we had to go through the hassle of applying and paying for new visas for which our tour operator kindly reimbursed us. When we arrived at Azaya Beach I found out the real reason for the cancellation. A three day Indian wedding and a conference. I was furious that the owners had put money making weddings and conferences before their guests. All the guests due to stay that week had been cancelled. There’s actually no reception desk at the hotel, just an area of chairs and a cubby hole where the receptionist was typing. We were shown to our room and it was filthy. There were fingerprints and dust all over the sliding doors onto the balcony and tv, the glass panels of the balcony which were five feet high frosted glass so there was no view. There were bird droppings on the balcony chairs, table and floor, Sand in the bedroom drawers, brown stains on the cushion of the bedroom chair, a broken glass panels. the base valance of the bed was dirty. The worse thing was that one of the balcony glass panels had come away from its metal bracket which had rusted so was a disaster waiting to happen. If it had fallen onto someone on the path below they would have been killed.i went back to the reception area and our Rep was there. She demanded an immediate deep clean. Thankfully we were then allocated a much better room. The hotel is actually a health and safety nightmare. The first night we descended the concrete steps leading down from our room. The lighting was poor and neither of us saw the bottom step so we both stumbled. I reported it but nothing was done. The path leading to the hotel’s Blue Iris restaurant and the beach beyond was very uneven and lit by uplighters meaning the path was almost in darkness. There were some positives though. The grounds are lovely with so much greenery and flowering bushes. The pool is large but some tiles are missing and had been left on the bottom of the pool.Every morning we had to wait ages for pool/beach towels. Some of the sunbeds are broken. We heard that the hotel has recently lost one of its star ratings and also that it’s being taken over by the Marriott chain so it seems that the hotel is being run down. Breakfast was mostly buffet style with eggs made to order and quite a good choice of western and Indian dishes. I have to thank Sanjana Pednekar, the hotel’s guest relations manager. She was very apologetic about our cancellation. She tried to persuade the owners to let us stay but they refused although agreed to allow us to have a complementary meal at Blue Iris. Despite our problems with Azaya Beach we did have a good time, mainly because we spent our days on the beach and ate out of the hotel.

Mustafa looked after our room and Craig at breakfast was brilliant they couldn't do enough for you. The hotel manager Sanjana always looked out for us making sure we were well looked after.

- rahul (2/5): - For the price we payed the hotel was not good. We spent 400$ a night where the TV didn’t work, the food was very bad, and the fan made lot of noise, and the cupboard was broken. Wouldn’t pay more than 200$ a night for this hotel.

Few kinks with some stuff in the room - hot water taking a while to flow out of the shower, room phone making sounds and disturbing sleep.
