- kevinkorell (8/5): Decent stay in Media - I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I enjoy staying at different hotels within the Hilton portfolio. Wanting to stay outside the city of Philly, I chose this location as it was a train ride away. The SEPTA regional rail station is on the other end of Media, and I intended to walk up to the D1 trolley and take it a few stops. As it was nice weather, I decided to walk the whole way instead to get some healthy steps in. The walk along Baltimore Avenue was not too bad --- a little over a mile with good sidewalks the whole way. The hotel was satisfactory for my needs. My room was comfortable, no issues with WiFi, TV, or HVAC. I had as decent a night's sleep as an insomniac can have. Enjoyed the breakfast, which to me met expectations at a Hampton Inn. And then I walked back to the Media train station and made my train back to Philadelphia. Overall, this place was not too bad, it fit the bill for me and it's convenient mostly to the D1 trolley a couple blocks away.

- Mollie (9/5): I have always trusted Hampton Inns no matter where I may go. I would stay at this one in Media, Pa. - The location was perfect for the family event we were attending and was in close proximity to our relatives that live in Springfield, Pa. It was important that we had breakfast available to us each day. Unfortunately, on our last day, there had been a snow storm and the supply delivery had ben cancelled and the lady in charge was without some of her items--over which she had no control--but we made do with what was there and were satisfied. The hallway carpeting appeared to not have been vacuumed for a good while--I let the manager know via text my thoughts about this. He took care of it the next day-- as it was night time after checking in. I was also not keen on the appearance of the indoor swimming pool, and chose not to join my grandchildren who absolutely loved it. It just didn't look that clean to me. I was disappointed not to go, but that was my choice.

Breakfast was pretty good but seemed to not take into account people’s preferences - if they had just separated things it would have been fine. (Like if you got eggs it had to come with cheese, if you got pancakes it had to come with apples) Staff was not very helpful or kind. :/

- Christina (10/5): Great staff, comfortable room and a good breakfast. - Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful. But I must comment on the check-in, particularly Mark G. He was working the check-in when we arrived a little after 7pm. He noticed right away that my husband was struggling with his walker. Mark G offered getting a wheel chair to make it easier but my husband declined. He then offered a room on the first floor very near the breakfast area. We gladly accepted the offer and had a wonderful room. After settling in I could not get the remote control to work on the TV. Again Mark came through with new batteries. We were very pleased with the room, the staff and breakfast. Can’t think of a thing to complain about. Great staff
- Cynthia (10/5): Quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed my stay - Clean, & friendly especially the Lady in the kitchen who was there every day. She went above and beyond to help everyone enjoy their breakfast. She made cookies and made sure everyone got some. She also managed to order, get, and prepare some bacon by the last day after not having any on National Bacon Day. She purposely sought me out and brought the bacon to my table to make sure I got some. There was only one small trash can in the room and a smaller one in the bathroom. I would suggest maybe two mid size trash cans in the common areas and a small one in the bathroom, or a large one in the hall for excess trash.

Que hubieran dejado la buena costumbre de mantener café caliente ya que era reconfortante volver a ultima hora de la tarde/nochecita en invierno y tomar una taza de café caliente antes de subir a la habitación. Dark hair was left on walls of bathroom and the floor. Two of the bath towels were dirty. For the cost of the room, I would expect more attention to detail with cleanliness.

The refrigerator thermostat had been set so high that it froze the back, which made the temp go very low. But the staff were quick to rectify the situation, allowing the fridge to get nice and cold.

- Alicia (8/5): Vey nice, newer hotel with a couple of flaws in amenities. - Breakfast was running low on many items - cereal, fruit - apparently they were "slammed" with guests according to kitchen staff. Personal preference- healthier cereal options (less sugary) such as regular cheerios, bran, chex. I did like the size of the rooms, the in-room amenities. Drawback was the equipment in gym. Great options such as a Peloton bike but couldn't connect to the internet. Treadmills same problem. They all had a remote control and cable box but not all of them worked and it was complicated to figure out how to even turn TV on. The pillows were lumpy and minimal filling.

I hate to even mention it, because last we stayed we have zero issues. However, this time, out room did have a few issues. I never mentioned it to the staff, I was not a deal breaker, but does need addressed for the next guest. 1. There were a few stains on the carpet. 2. The couch has a small tear/hole in it and needs vacuumed under the cushion. 3. The shower head needs replaced and the water pressure for this room was horrible!

- ltH8069NG (2/5): MOLD, No TV, Dryer not working....no response from management. - Terrible experience during a family vacation. When we checked in on the first evening, we noticed a group of people gathered in the lobby watching a movie on the TV. At first, I assumed it was a family reunion or a group just spending time together. However, we later learned from the front desk agent that none of the TVs in the guest rooms were working, and those guests had come down to the lobby because they had no entertainment options in their rooms. Thankfully, the internet was working, so I was able to connect my computer to our room’s TV for entertainment. The next day, we wanted to do some laundry, but neither our room key nor the digital key would open the laundry room door. I called the front desk to ask why our keys weren’t working. The phone rang six times before someone answered and immediately hung up — extremely unprofessional. I called back right away, and Claudia answered on the first ring. She informed me that I would need to come to the front desk to get a special physical key for the laundry room. My wife went down and got the key from Claudia, who was not very pleasant and failed to mention that the dryer wasn’t working. As a result, we had to hang our clothes up to dry after washing them, as no estimated time for repair was provided. After our second day out, we returned to the room after it had rained and were hit with a strong musty smell. Initially, we assumed it was due to the rain, but we felt the AC filter should have prevented that. Additionally, we had not received housekeeping service that day, so I called to request clean towels. The front desk agent told me they had none available — and this was after 5 p.m. While settling in, my wife looked at the AC unit and was shocked to find mold all over the vents (photos attached). At that point, we decided we couldn’t stay another night in that room. I contacted the Hilton Honors line, and they were very helpful: they found us another hotel, opened a correspondence ticket, and said the hotel manager would be in touch to resolve the issue. After packing and having dinner, we received a call from the front desk letting us know towels were now available for pickup. As we headed downstairs to leave, we saw another guest in the elevator with an armful of towels, clearly affected by the same shortage. It’s been almost a week, and I still haven’t heard from the hotel manager. I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service and the overall experience.

- Marko (8/5): Good value hotel in amazing town - The hotel is typical Hampton Inn chain hotel. Rooms are clean and there is plenty of room for 4 people. Comparing to other hotels from same chain, I would say the staff were even more nice and friendly than usual. There is plenty of parking spaces and the location of the hotel is great. The town of Media is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet, friendly and safe and you are quite near Philadelphia. Standard issues with Hampton Inn... AC is either in standby or working very loudly. The breakfast is fine for a night or two. After that, there just isn't enough variety.

The hotel did have WiFi and had no TV. The front desk did not inform them that this was the situation. It was ok except a heads up would have been nice. The front desk person said for $4.95 they could have some sort of service. They just went to bed because it was later in the evening. The breakfast was good and they liked all the selections. The price of this hotel for the night was a bit more than they would have liked considering it is Media Pa and not the exactly a hot spot. We would likely try the hotel again for this purpose since it is only 3 miles from my house but we would hope the experience would be a little different.

Upon arrival, we were first told they didn't have the 2-Queen room we had booked (2 months in advance!) and they pointed us to a King-room instead (which wasn't going to work for our family). They eventually "found" us a room after telling us they were sold out. While I appreciated them finding us the room we booked, it made the check-in way more stressful and downright unpleasant. Not the way I wanted to start my weekend.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay but service could be better - Chose the hotel because of proximity to an event we were attending. The room was huge which was nice and parking was plentiful. Breakfast was just okay. Breakfast time was 6am to 10am which was great but breakfast items did not have a lot of variety. Room did not have functioning ironing board and iron but both were provided upon request. Experienced service issues that underscore my low score for the hotel. My booking confirmation from Hotels.com had the checkout time as 12pm. I requested late checkout if available. Not only was that turned down but I was rudely told that the hotel’s checkout time is 11am regardless of what the hotels.com booking stated. When I pointed out that perhaps they need to contact hotels.com and fix the discrepancy at least for future guests, they didn’t seem particularly interested. Certainly will not be staying here again as I would not have minded staying further away from my event at a location that cared more about their customers. Hopefully, the management does better for their customers who are the sole reason they are in business!
