- Guest (8/5): Lovely -
- Rebecca (9/5): - Efficient and helpful staff. Super dog friendly. Good breakfast and dinner.
- Gordon (9/5): Attentive - Staff were friendly and attentive. There was nothing to dislike.
- Hilary (8/5): - Very good - vegetarian breakfast on the menu and marmite available! No lift, which I understand would be difficult but stairs to topvfloor a bit of a challenge!
- Sonia (8/5): Nice central location - Room very nice and clean. Very good breakfast - staff very friendly and helpful Due to the age of the property, the room/ensuite felt like it was on the tilt!!! However, it was furnished nice and very clean
- Tracie (10/5): -
- Charlotte (10/5): Friendly and comfortable stay in the centre of Sidmourh - Great position , nice atmosphere
- KAREN (8/5): -
- Nicola (8/5): Weekend of walking - The location was perfect. Parked at the accomodation easy and free. Food was very good, breakfast was varied and prompt when ordering hot food. Ate in Dukes one of the nights, food very high quality. All staff very friendly Had tea making facilities in the room and told to help ourselves to extra on the floor below where there was additional tea and coffee, only grumble was having to ask for milk three times as these were not replaced apart from that. No complaints. Easy check in and out.
- MIjanou (8/5): Lovely Hotel, great friendly staff - Lovely staff, lovely room, with tea/coffee, great breakfast, really well located a little set back from the esplanade. Free sweets was a lovely touch. Very welcoming! The rooms are lovely all be in a bit on the small side especially with a dog, our matress was a bit saggy, perhaps they need a bit of a upgrade. Also very noisy if you are in a seafront room, as the outdoor seating area is just below, lots of shouting late at night which woke us up a couple of times.
- Isabelle (10/5): We will definitely be back - Lovely location, great breakfast, attentive staff, beautiful view. Nothing
- jane (10/5): Comfortable and clean stay in a perfect location - Brilliantly situated, great sea views from our windows. We had two rooms, both tastefully decorated and very clean. Staff helpful and attentive, they constantly went the extra mile, we also had lots of little extras including dog treats, dog bed etc. We enjoyed it all and shall return Nothing, all good thanks

- Christine (9/5): Very good - All good
- Manterfield (7/5): Generally very pleasant, and a lovely view of the ocean from bed! - Breakfast was a choice of hot breakfast (full english/veggie, or a hot roll) or pastries, cereal yogurt and juices with coffee. We ate breakfast there twice- it was good, nothing special. Had dinner there however and the fish and chips were one of the best ive ever had! Defo recommend. Loved the tuck shop where you can help yourself to sweets! The hotel itself needs a good re-paint. The staff were nice but getting used to a new IT system so a little slow.
- Carole (8/5): - Great location. Good breakfast. Small room but adequate for a short stay.
- Christabelle (8/5): Value for money! - Lovely Seaview Room
Generous breakfast
- Melanie (8/5): - Location

- Julie (8/5): -

- Carol (10/5): A really good place to stay in Sidmouth - Lovely seafront location and I had a room with a sea view. The bed was very comfortable, the room spotlessly clean and a good selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and coffee pods provided. The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly. Nothing, it was a great stay!
- Sandy (8/5): Always a good stay but suffer with small beds. Staff friendly and accommodating. Great central location. - Used before as local to everything. Managed to get into limited parking which is great and food normally excellent although burger was rather dry this time. Breakfast excellent. The small 4.6 beds and in room 9 , on windy nights, rattling throughout the night. Not good for sleep!
- Liz (10/5): -
- Sue (10/5): Enjoyed my stay , delightful room, food was great and helpful staff - Delightful room, good location , everything I needed . Helpful staff All fine
- Joanne (7/5): A nice overnight stay - Comfy beds, soft towels, good supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in room. The menu was OK but quality of food could have been better
- DAWN (8/5): Nice place to stay, right by the seafront. - Location was great, staff very welcoming and friendly, nice breakfast too. Big room, like a little apartment. Bed was a bit small especially for my husband who’s 6’2.
- Alastair (9/5): - Staff were very helpful when I arrived (a bit before the 15:00 check-in time) and when I left early the next morning (a bit before the normal breakfast time). I got a good vibe from the place.
Fantastic location.
- Phil (10/5): - Surprisingly good. Superb, helpful staff.
- Manuel (10/5): -
- Ellie (10/5): Fabulous find right on the coast. I will be back - Lovely breakfast with lots of choices cooked to order and a great buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff and incredible value for money for a sea view and breakfast included. I loved the fact I had a genuine single room with a very comfy single bed and didn't feel like the odd one out as there were other solo travellers staying in the hotel. I hade a very nice evening meal there which was very well-priced and the service was excellent throughout. Nothing
- Annemarie (10/5): Perfect after a long days walk, really relaxed atmosphere. - Great location, lovely welcome, nice little touches everywhere, room was amazing, great tea and coffee station, really good shower and great breakfast.
Staff were friendly and helpful, will definitely recommend to friends and family. Nothing, loved all of it.
- Debbie (9/5): Lovely two days away on our first visit to Sidmouth. - Great location , friendly staff. Lovely room , all very clean and spacious . Good little self service station with sweets / milk etc to replenish yourself which was a nice touch. The only thing was our bed was a little on the small side.
- laura (10/5): - Posizione ,camera
- Caroline (10/5): - Very welcoming staff, delicious food, excellent value for money
- denise (8/5): Very enjoyable stay in a cute quirky place close to beach and town. - Rooms small but perfectly formed (old building so as expected). Cute and Quirky. Liked the little touches like the complimentary sweets.
Restaurant food was lovely. Bar closes very early.
- Payne (9/5): - The staff were quiet and very efficient, thank you
- Michelle (10/5): We love Dukes, highly recommended - Amazing room for us, fantastic sea view, delicious food. Very dog friendly. Perfect location Nothing.
- Paula (9/5): The staff were *AMAZING* & Food outstanding. What a great experience. - The staff were ***** amazing, ****** couldn't have been more helpful! Food was outstanding. We ate in the restaurant in the evening as well as breakfast. Loved the help yourself to a bag of sweets. The outside area had hot water bottles and blankets for when it felt a little chilly. All staff who we had any dealing with were so kind and happy and helpful. The inside mid window ledge of our room (room 10) was mouldy and needed a good clean. Happy to overlook this as everything else was outstanding!!!
- Holly (9/5): Great location - Great location on the seafront and great breakfast. Woken early as is an old building and could hear guests upstairs waking around at 6.30am.
- Lindsay (9/5): À great couple of days here - the staff are really kind and helpful and Dukes is so convenient. Great place to stay! - Wonderful staff who were really friendly and helpful. Fantastic location! My fault, but don’t book Room 8 unless you are slim and sylphlike - which I am not 🤣 The room is fine but the bathroom is very very small!
- Nicola (9/5): Great location, fabulous food, lovely staff! - Loved the location, staff were great, very friendly and the food was excellent! Too hot!
- Sandy (10/5): Great location and the staff were especially friendly and welcoming. - All food options very good Go
- Kate (9/5): Great location with a cosy feel - Surprising extras! Finer details Heating
- Guest (8/5): -
- David (8/5): Lovely relaxing break. - All facilities were good and location excellent. Breakfasts were good. But unfortunately had to be sent back both mornings as were under cooked or just cold.
- Moyra (9/5): Will definitely stay again. Excellent team - Excellent buffet. Cooked breakfast adequate Sausage and tomato overcooked
- Bowle (10/5): -
- Yannick (9/5): -
- BRIAN (9/5): - Friendly staff at reception and mealtimes. Lovely seafront room with plenty of room for one. Excellent fish and chips Tuesday special, and breakfast choices good. Quiet considering it was a pub just off seafront. Nothing, all fine thanks.
- Suzy (8/5): -
- Kirsty417 (9/5): - Perfect location, lovely cosy, clean and quiet rooms. The tuck shop was a wonderful touch. Staff really friendly.
- Deborah (10/5): - Everything especially the gluten free availability
- Hans (9/5): Toller Start in unsere Ferien - Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr gutes Essen.
- Jeremy (8/5): Very good and it lived up to our expectations. - Very good position,Friendly and efficient staff, Very good room with a sea view, Good breakfast. Everything was good.
Unfortunatey our car was covered in seagull poo which is just a location problem.
- Sarah (9/5): - The staff were very helpful and friendly. Its well decorated and looked after. Breakfast was brilliant so much choice. Location fab and parking whilst limited was a real benefit. My bed was a little uncomfortable but apart from that everything else was great.
- Susan (10/5): Amazing - The breakfast we had was beautiful, and as for the location it could not be any better
- Emma (10/5): Easter Weekend Stay - We stayed over Easter weekend, and outside our hotel door there was an Easter Egg for our son, plus when we came down to breakfast there was a Creme Egg available at all settings which was a nice thought. The free sweets that were available for children (and adults) went down a treat. We loved that in our room we had Clipper products (tea/coffee/hot chocolate). Staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful with our requests. When we arrived on the Saturday evening it was extremely windy but when we were in our room that overlooked the sea front we couldn't hear anything. I personally found the double bed to be a bit hard (I prefer a soft mattress). Furnishings do seem a little dated, and for our room maybe a slightly larger TV (not that we watched much during our stay). Also, the curtains didn't quite meet in the middle due to the Bay Window so on the second night I used some clips to keep them closed as you could see the flashing from the lights on the zebra crossing and the streetlights.
- Lynda (7/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Service was impeccable - Lovely
- vera (9/5): Lovely time would definately go back to stay at dukes inn - Staff very friendly and helpful, food was very good, plenty of choice for breakfast and eaten evening meal was excellent Wifi wasn't very good, kept telling us it wasn't safe and we couldn't access vpn when it was switched on or home cameras. Just used our data and didn't bother with the wifi. Didn't bother us that much as we were there to relax.
- Toni (9/5): Very nice little hotel - The room was very nice, beds were pretty comfortable and it was all nice and clean. The tuck shop was a lovely added bonus.
Food was good and the restaurant was also very clean. The floor above us was extremely creaky and they seemed to be moving around a lot, it woke us up on the middle of the night.
Don't expect a sandy beach either, it was pure stone but still nice enough for an evening stroll
- jonathon (9/5): Wonderful stay in great locatio - View from the lovely room , great breakfast, great staff
- Marc (8/5): - Das Essen ist sehr gut! Frühstück teilweise a la carte und ebenfalls sehr lecker !
- Lucy (9/5): Great location and stay - I have never stayed anywhere with such helpful kind staff, nothing was too much trouble.
Lovely view from room
Great breakfast
Room quiet
Great outdoor terrace for drinks with blankets and hot water bottles!
Arranged bike parking for out motorbike. Room was too hot for me even in cold weather
Restaurant too noisy and busy for me but tons of places to eat nearby
- michael (9/5): Great location, breakfast and friendly staff - Great breakfast - friendly staff - free sweets Nothing really
- graeme (10/5): -
- Irene (8/5): - Really nice staff. I don’t know what you could do about it, but the room was incredibly warm. I guess because it was at the top of the building. The radiator was off, it was late March.
- Ina (10/5): Perfekte Location - Super individuell, wahnsinnig nettes Personal, pub mit gute, essen, krassgutes Frühstück
- LIZ (8/5): - The Manager who greeted us. Bit chilly in the bar
- Sara (10/5): An excellent stay - Room. Food, team Nothing
- Charlotte (8/5): -
- Trefor (8/5): -
- Sigolene (5/5): -
- Morgan (9/5): Great value - Staff were excellent, particularly the front of house manager.
- jutta (10/5): - Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer war klein und sauber und hatte aber alles, was es braucht.

- David (10/5): Delightful - Everything No cosy area to sit in in the evening if you were staying
- Yasmin (10/5): Another faultless stay - Friendly and efficient staff, warm and comfy room with all amenities you need. The sweet tuck shop is a great touch. Ate in the Dukes in the evening as well and the food was exceptional full of flavour, freshly cooked and good portions. Added plus of being dog friendly. Will be returning soon! Nothing
- Joanna (7/5): -
- Martin (10/5): Great value accommodation close to the seafront - The room was clean and comfortable. Appreciated the hot drinks available in the room which included hot chocolate.
The full English cooked breakfast was excellent and included in the overall price. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The private parking was a bonus too. Will certainly return. Nothing to dislike
- Grace (10/5): Great stay - Very friendly and helpful staff.
Room was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic and heated towel rail was great! My room had no view
- Robert (8/5): Very relaxing - Stall great, breakfast also great highly recommended More tv channels ie. BBC 1 & 2
- Philip (6/5): Great staff, superb location, but room booked was not so good.. - The staff were very pleasant and the ambience welcoming. The breakfast coffee very good. Room 12 had a good view of the sea. The shower was hot with plentiful flow. The sweets on the landing were too tempting! The location close to the sea front and the pedestrianised shopping area is very good. Overall decor in good condition. The room size (No 12) was fine for a short stay BUT the bathroom was tiny (former cupboard?) and using the toilet so close to the basin required a little gymnastics, even for slim people like me. The mattress was very firm and felt quite tired/old to me (I like a firm mattress but this one was too much). Pillows were a tad on the firm side too for me.
- Patricia (8/5): A long weekend (4 nights) in a lovely place - Location very close to the sea. Good breakfasts and evening meal. Friendly helpful staff. No major dislikes.
- Littlefair (9/5): -
- Jo (10/5): -
- NIVES (8/5): Lovely place to stay over the weekend just opposite the sea - People! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great! Pillows could be a bit softer ❤️
