Guest Reviews
- Steffen (9/5): -
- Jacqueline (7/5): Friendly pub - Breakfast could be served a bit earlier, especially for walkers who need to get out early.
- pammie (10/5): - Absolutely charming!! Shower floor has had too much water spillage and needs to be fixed.
- Greg (9/5): A charming step back in time. - Old world charm. This was by far the oldest place I have ever stayed and I loved the uneven floors, narrow corridors and low door entries. At the same time, it had the largest bath that I’ve seen in quite some time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The narrow staircase to the rooms was a bit tight.

- Sanchez (10/5): - The food was excellent ! Service was also excellent . My bed was comfortable. We walked to hotel from the trail, easy to find .
- Yulita (10/5): - staff and location
- Alison (7/5): Very nice -
- Kingsley (1/5): Do not stay run down property - The location Run down rooms very poor facilities, bathroom was horrible shower didn’t work properly , carpet near the toilet .
I can’t stress enough this was run down and certainly not worth the money .
The staff were rude and seemed entitled no customer service they really didn’t care .
- David (8/5): Proper pub with proper food - Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food is good and plentiful. Should include breakfast in the price charged
- רן בלקין (8/5): -
- Karol (3/5): Would not recommend most definitely worth the asking price. - It’s in Broadway Mould in the bathroom.
Room very small.
Window in the room did not stay open and needed to improvise and prop it up to get fresh air in the room.
Check in was mean to be from 13:30hrs as per the app only to be told that it was wrong and we could not access our room until 14:30hrs - 15:00hrs
- Marlene (10/5): A must stay - Beautiful old pub with genuine English hospitality and great food.
- Stephen (10/5): living History - A great experience staying in a historic setting! Nothing
- karen (8/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): Great Stay! - Pretty inn, right on the cotswold way - perfect for hiking and exploring the cute town! It would be great if they offered more than just a typical english breakfast. Great stay nonetheless!
- Sina_M (8/5): - Kleines gemütliches Zimmer, bequemes Bett. Liegt direkt am Cotswold Way, zum Wandern also perfekt! Frühstück konnte man extra ordern, typisch englisches Frühstück, was will man mehr! -

- John H (5/5): Not the best experience in a pub with characterful features and a great opportunity missed to secure a future booking. - Having visited & stayed in Broadway many times, the property location was very good and had age & character. The room was clean, well appointed and more than adequate for our stay over. On arrival (around 5 pm, the member of staff on duty was not that helpful in recommending or supplying information about car parking as the QH had no dedicated car parking facilities. After parking in a short stay (free only 6pm until 8am), we returned to the hotel, hastily showed our room and urged to complete a form by 7 pm to request breakfast items. There was no milk in the room to make a cup of tea so this has to be arranged and at the same time we were told that if we required food that evening it would also need to be ordered by 7 pm! The experience felt very rushed. We did order food at the bar but subsequently told the chicken my wife had ordered was no longer available. Our meals arrived very quickly after ordering which suggested they were pre-prepared and not cooked to order. We left after dining to use facilities in an other pub for the remainder of the evening. Prior to this we settled our bill which including 2 drinks was more pricy than anticipated but then realised we had received service charge which was never anticipated or even explained. Reading other reviews we can see that other guests have negatively commented on the service charge also. Fortunately we had declined the breakfast option as no doubt a further service charge would have been applied! We will be returning to Broadway in the future but sadly not to the QH, not because of the facilities or location but the overall experience of customer care.
- Anne (4/5): Very tired rooms - Breakfast very good Uncomfortable bed, very old carpet, cluttered room
- Verena (9/5): -
- Tim (8/5): -
- Desmond (9/5): - Convenient location.
- Jason (5/5): Good location in very old building that shows its age. 2 star property with location its only plus. - Location
Meal was average our 3rd pub meal in a row and distant last in quality. Cleanliness, my wife gets asthma from pets or dust, feel like it was a combo of both
- Kaitlan (10/5): - This was the best Inn we stayed at on our road trip. The best pub we found! No feedback! 10/10
- Pablo (9/5): Muy bien, lugar muy auténtico, que es lo que buscábamos. - Perfecta ubicación. Muy auténtico, con todo el sabor, tanto el pub como las habitaciones.
Buenísimos desayuno y cena.
- Duffy (6/5): Suited us just fine thanks. - Very convenient. Friendly & helpful staff. Very dated rooms.
- Mandeep (8/5): Perfect location but the hosts made it so much enjoyable - Location was perfect but the staff made it so much more enjoyable and breakfast was great with the hosts who interacted whilst still working Nothing so no negatives
- Sue (4/5): Great location, shocking room. - Good location & the staff were lovely The room was tiny, shabby & the shower barely worked. TV had no signal. very basic wasn’t in it.

- Brian (7/5): Accommodation adequate for us but overpriced - Dinner was good , room very clean. Breakfast poor quality and expensive.
- Heather (5/5): - Location cosy atmosphere The room was fine yet very cold on arrival. The check out was way to early gor a bank holiday and price we paid . But overall location is everything. Would I stay again . Perhaps not .
- Passmore (8/5): Welcoming accommodating beautiful surroundings restful and just what we needed - Lovely quaint and quirky all at the same time ❤️ We loved the property ❤️

Appena arrivati c’era veramente molto freddo in camera.
- ANN (7/5): Inn centrally located and good atmosphere - Location. Friendly atmosphere. Bar food. Open Fire. Warm bedroom. Lack of parking. Flashing christmas lights into bedroom on New Years Eve stopping sleep (turned off the following night). Draughty window. Limited breakfast choice.
- stephen (9/5): -
- Joe (6/5): -
- Frederick (10/5): My stay was just perfect in all respects! - Delightfully unspoiled. Somewhat rare these days with historic properties. Nothing!
- Miss (7/5): We had a nice stay food was lovely staff were really friendly - Breakfast was very nice although the eggs were hard but nice fresh local produce location was great few minutes walk to the shops and christmas market The room was very comfortable could do with some updating carpet and decor had an issue with the toilet blocked owners thought we flushed something down the toilet we shouldn't have but certainly didn't the cleanliness could of been better didn't use the shower as the shower head was very dirty dusty behind bed so just a couple things to be done
- Alison (8/5): Pleasant stay. Lovely staff - The only negative was lack of parking.
We had to keep visiting the car park to add more money. This would stop us staying again As above
- Diane (10/5): Highly recommend - Caroline is a great host. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean, comfortable and very warm. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Can't fault it. Nothing really. There is no on-site parking but this is made clear before booking. There is a reasonably priced long stay car park 10 minutes walk away.
- Julie (10/5): - Great traditional pub. No frills, just good food and booze in a fantastic location. Great value.
- Patricia (4/5): - Location The place was shabby, grubby carpets smells damp. Furniture old and handles broken off drawers, windows dirty and bathroom windows would not close and running with condensation.. Went down for breakfast told they didn't do breakfast!!! The reviews said breakfast was good and there was a pre order sheet for breakfast in the room....definitely won't go back.....the rooms were like going back years, old fashioned and the lighting poor with light bulbs not working.....avoid bedroom one !
- Lucie (9/5): Great stay highly recomend . - Just a great old pub superb location freindly staff nice room great price .
- Jan (8/5): A one night stay in the Broadway village - Very good location for the Broadway
Staff very friendly
Evening meal and breakfast was very good
Clean room and pub
- Humphries (9/5): Brilliant. Great location - Very friendly and welcomung. Felt like home. Bathroom a little cramped.
- C (9/5): - Locatiom, athmoshere and very friendly.
- Smith (4/5): Ok ish. - Location was excellent and staff very good. Bathroom minute and in dire need of enlarging and refurbishing
- Eileen (5/5): Satisfactory - Good location. Friendly staff. Room was ‘tired’, the en-suite was very tight and the shower didn’t work all the time as there was a problem with the electricity in the pub.
- Elizabeth (7/5): - Friendly staff
- Tracy (9/5): - Location staff No milk in room
- ELIZABETH (7/5): Great accommodation, not the best service - Great room, comfy bed, nice bathroom, fab location.
Lovely little quaint pub with original features. Staff were indifferent.
No parking so had to get up early and move the car or pay more money.
No room to even have a drink or dinner at the pub so a real shame we didn’t get to experience it.
Hot water took a while to come through.
Could hear other loud residents
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Michael (9/5): A quirky country pub feel just a few seconds walk from the middle of Broadway - The perfect location, only about 30 seconds walk, to the heart of Broadway. A great atmosphere in the pub and the breakfast was amazing. Every single member of staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Needs a little bit of decor updating, especially in the bathroom. We realise it’s a quirky old property with wonky walks and floors. That’s all part of the charm but a new loo seat ( ours was clean but very discoloured which not a good look ) and a lick of paint would really help.
- Chivers (6/5): Broadway was lovely, but parking not good. - Did not have breakfast. Certain staff were rude .
- Nigel (8/5): We had a lovely overnight day for breakfast was really good. The food on the night available to buy in the pub is great - The location is perfect and it was nice to stay above the pub where it was quiet at night, but you could pop down for friendly locals bar Bathroom needs a new bin, toilet seat and toilet roll holder, shower is a very powerful but is usable but I’m guessing it is hard to increase the water in such an old building

- Carol (8/5): -

- Penny (10/5): We will definitely be back. - Fabulous, old, traditional pub with great food and atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious too.
- Robin (10/5): Lovely old pub to stay at in Broadway to see some of the Cotswolds. - This is a lovely old combined pub and hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. Even though the pub was downstairs and busy the room was quiet. We would happily stay here again.
- Andrew (7/5): Great pub, not so good overnight - Great pub with excellent beer and good home cooking at dinner. Reasonably priced food. Cramped accommodation. Poor breakfast. Too many dogs for my liking. Bar closed at 9 pm on a Wednesday.
- Catherine (8/5): -
- Alan (8/5): -
- Steve Williams (9/5): -
- Mark (8/5): -
- Matthew (5/5): Very dated room, very small bathroom but fine for a 3 star I guess. - Bathroom very small. I thought it would be more up to date with a reasonable sized bathroom. Food was really cheaply priced but honestly not up to standard. Home made lasagne was very poor I would make a much better one.
- John (9/5): Excellent traditional pub - A proper traditional pub with a great atmosphere.
Comfortable bed and a good size room
First class staff, very friendly and helpful
Excellent location Room perhaps needs up dating
- Samantha (8/5): Needs a little tlc but clean and comfy - Friendly helpful staff. Warm cosy pub. Tired but clean It was tired but otherwise all good
- Lynette (8/5): - Clean room but very small
- John (9/5): It was very good - I had to go into Broadway to buy my breakfast as there was no chef available
- Jean-Claude (7/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): A good spot - Nice location and nice pub As guests of the inn the pub staff could have been more accommodating when we were looking for a beer before dinner. We weren’t planning on staying long but they weren’t keen at as sitting inside at a table booked for later in the evening.
- Raffaele (9/5): -
- SHARON (10/5): - The staff were excellent, especially Sonia. So very helpful
- Wolfgang (9/5): -
- James (8/5): - The location was just around the corner from the main busy street.
- Betty (6/5): A truly pub old fashioned Inn experience. - A very old quaint pub, walls are very thick so room is quiet. Floor is quite uneven due to its age. Bed very firm, if you like that…
- Valentina (10/5): Highly recommended and I’d stay again! - Everything.. such a cozy.. great.. and lovely stay..
very clean.. very quiet although there’s a very very lovely pub in the first floor! They have specific time for breakfast and they stop serving dinner at 7pm.. we were at other villages by dinner time and we didn’t get the chance to try their food!
