Seaview rooms were nicely decorated, spacious and clean, didn't try breakfast but cocktails were very good. Parking place was a great bonus. Overall a great 1 night stay , would happily stay longer and hope to go back next year The outside of the Hotel could do with a spruce up but being so close to the sea maybe it deteriorates quickly.

- Skirita (8/5): Hotel direkt am Meer - Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, parken kann man kostenlos im Hinterhof. Unser Zimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet und hatte direkten Blick zum Meer. Ein Fahrstuhl war vorhanden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war gut.

- Mr Mayer Stoke on Trent (10/5): Excellent Hotel Elizabeth - The Elizabeth is in an excellent position right opposite the beach. The rooms are lovely. The staff are lovely. It has a lift for people who are less mobile and a good carpark .The food is also lovely. It is an excellent Hotel without fault.

The breakfast was really nice,always cooked fresh and plenty of choice. .We also ate dinner there some of the time Nothing. A clean,welcoming hotel convenient for Sidmouth Town centre.

- Andrew (5/5): Very disappointed for the money we paid - Sea front Room was dirty on top of wardrobes when I put case up and paid extra for sea view and there was sea gull poo baked on windows which hadn’t been cleaned for ages, also didn’t sleep well first night as mattress was lumpy and awful, things were out right after complaining but you should not have to when you pay these prices

I appreciated the coffee machine in the room. The breakfast choice was really good and, finally, every member of staff we met was very friendly and worked well together as a really good team. The room was small. The hotel's decor was a bit tired - although better than some seaside properties in this area - although that said the bar/breakfast room was clean, smart and tasteful.

The hotel was smart and well cared for we thought. Staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived. Had one evening meal which was good but only problem was limited choice. Overall, excellent, we will be back. Hotel position close to town and front. Well cared for hotel. Staff who wanted to help at every opportunity.

Room was number 35 lovely attic room bed was comfy, room had everything I needed and a fantastic view of the sea. Tea coffee facilities ok, bathroom clean , lift to all floors , breakfast was a good choice of menu , I had full English really hot , fresh. Overall great location, high standard and comfy room will definitely stay there again Nothing it was great

- jennycrocks1 (10/5): Excellent stay throughout. - We have stayed at Hotel Elizabeth many times over the years but this time we decided to stay for their Christmas break. From beginning to end we had an excellent stay with lots of added ‘treats’ and entertainment which were much appreciated - thank you. We received an outstanding service from all the staff and not forgetting the kitchen staff who provided us with excellent meals throughout our stay - well done to Chef and his team. All the staff were friendly and very helpful and they provided a first class service - despite having to work through the Christmas period! The hotel is situated with the sea just across the road and the shops just around the corner - a perfect location for everything. Our stay was very comfortable, warm and relaxing and we would certainly recommend this hotel at anytime of the year! We are already looking forward to our next stay at The Elizabeth.

I thought that Fatima was particular helpful , sharing insights to places to see . I felt she was genuinely pleased to meet us and made sure that we had all the new essay information etc . The room had a sea view which was really important to us and we would always pay the extra to have this . The bathroom looked liked it was recently decorated but it wasn’t a power shower .the hotel was part of the group with Kindswood and Dukes which we did have drinks etc in both venues. Plenty of staff ! Power shower but not essential

Wooden head board / prefer soft when reading in bed. Bedside lighting location a bit awkward. No plug points by bed to charge phone - I listen to radio on my phone in bed so location not convenient.

Evening dinner menu was a bit strange and limited but due to the location of the hotel it’s very easy to find alternatives. Pillows were like rocks!!

- Y810CAmiket (10/5): PERFECTION - Absolutely perfect in every respect! Thank you Team Elizabeth for a most wonderful 30th Anniversary stay. Everything from a warmest welcome from Dawn, to a lovely softly decorated hotel (with very unobstrusive background music), a very clean and well-equipped bedroom overlooking the bay (just try lying in bed and listening to the wavelets 'wooshing' over the beach pebbles - so very, very relaxing!) - bedroom even had a coffee-making machine and an umbrella - not that we needed it this visit - perfect sunshine. All staff were so welcoming, friendly and professional - many, many thanks for making our Anniversary dinner so special. Very good choice of menus - everything cooked to perfection - breakfast enough to set you up for the day! Could go on about sitting on the balcony in the sunshine with a cuppa, after a long afternoon exploring, just watching the sea and strollers on the prom etc, but enough - go and experience it for yourself - excellent experience and value for money. We will most definitely be back.
