• d and h (8/5): great place - staff was very friendly and they communicated by what's app we had a room on the second floor which was great.the room was very comfortable clean and quiet. it was nice to sit on the balcony. I didn't like that they gave 2 small water bottles a day. I would have preferred that they have a water system where we could refill our bottles a system that we saw another hostel on the island using.. even if there was a charge. as beautiful as Koh mook is, there is garbage everywhere.

• Mike (9/5): A great place to stay on Koh mook on a budget - A ten minute walk to most food options and also the pier ( if you take the coast path), good a/c and fridge, with the standard 'firm' bed that is common in Thailand. Free tea and coffee all day, and daily water too! The resort is great for booking tours and taxis, and the lady who manages it is lovely too, really helpful, and lots of communication by either email or WhatsApp! , they also have the cheapest beers on the island that we found too! Also it's about a 35 min walk to sunset beach which is a must do if you visit this island. There are no issues we found about smile at all, however the surrounding area has lots of rubbish around, but this seems to be a standard for Koh mook and many other smaller Thai islands, which is a shame as with some effort by whoever gets the money from the national park fees that are charged everywhere, I'm sure that a cleanup could be arranged! Koh mook is a paradise island, but could be so much better.

• Dennis (10/5): Best value for money on the amazing island of Koh Mook - Hi there to everyone reading this review, I'm gonna try and keep this short and simple. This place is the absolute best when you are looking for a great accomodation for a very reasonable price. I stayed here for almost a month (March/April 2026) and absolutely loved it. During this time I checked out some of the other accomodations on the island as well but when it comes to value for money, nothing comes close to Smile. The staff is amazing, from a friendly smile (Good morning!) at reception to the cleaning ladies. Also, they provide complementary bottles of water to your room every day + free coffee/thee. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The complex is just outside the center part of the village and I loved it. No noise during the day or night and still only a 5 min walk to most of the restaurants. Tip; best restaurant on the island is actually right next door > Good Luck Restaurant. So unless you want to stay right on the beach, book this one! Cheers!

Na Charlie beach je to pěšky dost daleko, ale je k dispozici půjčovna skútru přímo v recepci. Též k dispozici prádelna za 80THB. Na ostrově jsme byli po hlavní sezoně, tak bylo spoustu míst už zavřených, za nás ideál s minimem lidí. Smile Resort vřele doporučuji a ráda se vrátím.

Spotless, comfy beds, good AC, private patio area, FREE coffee, very helpful staff, ability to book excursions and transport through the staff, good location and safe. Petit déjeuner à revoir parce que franchement deux pan cake Pour un homme, on a faim. Je trouve que vraiment ce n'est pas un bon rapport qualité-prix du tout. , même pour eux je laisse un commentaire et serait temps de rénover tout ça. De mettre des barrières pour les chiens parce que franchement, c'est inadmissible. Gros. Positif menu à 150 bates avec entrée plat dessert. Ils sont gentils mais ils ne comprennent vraiment pas un mot. Le nombre d'anglais d'anglais. Vraiment, je ne reviendrai pas dans cet hôtel et je déconseille aux personnes qui n'ont plus de quarante ans. C'est tout petit, pas plus de dix mètres carrés.

• Alexandre (9/5): - I enjoyed my stay at the Smile Resort. First, the stafff is amazing, nice and friendly. The room is ok with big fridge, little desk, furniture to hang out the clothes, efficient AC and confortable bed. The bathroom is top with a good shower. I recommend! I don’t think it’s the fault of the resort but be aware that the water of the sink and shower can be browni-sh sometimes. Be sure not to drink it

• Dorota (9/5): Comfortable for a short stay - Comfortable for a short stay. I like the bright light inside the room as I could read by it in the evening. There is a fridge inside the room and some tea/coffee making facilities outside (although only available till 4pm). The lady at the reception arranged 2 tours for me to Koh kradan and the emerald cave. There is a nice restaurant next to the resort where ate most of my meals. I’m glad I took the room with AC as some days were very hot. It would be great if they could reduce plastic in the long term as the island can’t cope with so much plastic and it is being burned by the locals every morning. There are no nice beaches close by and you either need to walk for 30 min or take a tuk tuk to Charlie beach.

They provide trips and transfer which was all fine Area is not that great, they burn trash and you can really smell it on some nights. Also, when you only have fan(which is what I paid for and is fine) you don’t want to cover yourself with fluffy plush hairy blanket -provide thin bedsheet maybe.

Die rezeptionistin war sehr hilfsbereit man konnte alle Fahrten dort buchen.ich würde die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen. Wir bekamen durch das Ressort den schnellsten und besten Weg zurück nach Krabi vermittelt. Die Dusche sollte nicht vor der badtür sein so stand man nach dem duschen im Wasser. Am wunderschönen sabeisstrand wurde ich leider total von sandflöhen zerstochen was meinen Aufenthalt auf kho mook verleidete. Am charly beach konnte man jedoch schwimmen gehen.

В моём номере не было горячей воды и кондиционера, но это не страшно - вода прохладная, но не ледяная, поэтому мыться вполне комфортно, а вентилятор хорошо справляется. Отель немного в стороне от условного центра, но остров маленький, тихий, поэтому пешком можно дойти спокойно. Отель рекомендую. Рядом с кроватью нет выключателя света, приходится вставать. И мусор за забором портит вид из окна, но это не относится к отелю.

On n’est pas dans un hôtel de luxe, mais pour cette catégorie de prix, c’était vraiment bien. Restaurants, supérettes à proximité.

• Sandra (3/5): - Läget var okej, gick att gå till ”huvudgatan” på ön. Bra kommunikation via whatsapp och snabba svar. Sängen var det hårdaste jag någonsin sovit på, fick knappast någon sömn när jag bodde där. Var där i 4 nätter och ingen kom och städade eller tömde soporna under hela vistelsen. Blev matförgiftad efter snorkelturen vi bokade genom boendet och toalettpappret gick därför åt snabbare än vanliga fall skrev på whatsapp vid 7pm att det behövdes mer papper till rummet blev då ombedd att gå till affären och köpa toalettpapper då personalen gått hem för dagen, tycker att det är väldigt tidigt receptionen blir obemannad på en resort.

The lady is very nice and communication is very easy, also through WhatsApp. We would definitely choose again this resort if we come back! You might smell some plastic smoke from the burning area on the back, but it's not all day long.
