- Jojo (8/5): Very good - Quiet area. Not much around but had a nice bakery/cafe just down the road. Very well kept grounds and a great pool. Room was clean. 15 min. walk to the surfing beach and from there it was possible to walk to Cabarete Beach on a small Rd along the ocean till you got close to Kite beach, then walk on the beach ( 5 km walk) We had a terrible bed and the management changed us to a new room with a better bed. We like to walk but it is impossible to walk on the main road. You can take a taxi or local transportation to Sasoua or Cabarete for groceries, local transport is very inexpensive.

- Jennifer (10/5): - Loved our stay at Ocean Palms. It’s location was perfect! Quiet and had everything you need to enjoy Encuentro and Cabarete. Walk to the food truck market across the street (open at night), it’s very cool with great food and live music on Saturday nights. Stayed a week and had to ask for replacement towels but reception staff are friendly! Pool is great and lots of parking. Very safe. Recommend!

I liked the staff was friendly and the view was nice. The towels are bed sheets were not cleaned very well, the mattress and pillows were badly stained. There was no hot water in the shower.

All the staff were friendly and helpful and brought us a lot of water jug refills. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything is very clean and well-managed by Jennifer and her staff. You do need transportation to get to major beach areas, but for living and relaxing, it's all there.

- laurie031893 (10/5): Beautiful Place - This little hotel in Cabarete is beautiful and their customer service is amazing. The staff was very friendly, no long contracts or rules and regulations. I asked for an early check in and our rooms were ready early. No security deposits or credit card holds or documents to sign and it’s pet friendly. The rooms were perfectly clean, great WiFi and A/C. It’s not beachfront, but it’s only a 10 minute walk through nice local roads and their restaurant is delicious. Zero complains.
- santosyasmin (10/5): Can't beat the location, super well-maintained - Ocean Palms is located just off the main road in Playa Encuentro. The property is incredibly managed – manicured landscapes, always clean, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, etc. I'm here longterm (several months) and am amazed at how quickly issues are solved though I haven't had very many... just a few internet complaints and a lightbulb change. The units (it's a condo hotel with long and short-term rentals) are beautiful, a modern aesthetic with luxury fixtures. Very comfortable. I feel like I'm in paradise – every morning I wake up to a beautiful sunrise and walk to the beach to go surfing. Come back, have breakfast at the restaurant and get to work. OPR has the most reliable internet I have experienced in Cabarete so far. Great for a remote worker like myself. Oh! And they're setting up a co-working space for residents and guests – can't wait!! If I'm in on the North Coast of DR, I doubt I'll be anywhere but Ocean Palms.

It’s very quiet and you feel like you’re the only person here! We were in a three, two, and one bedroom condo. (Big family) every room was clean and neat when we arrived. They had set the table for us as well. Each room had WiFi and everything we needed.

Our group was 14 people all from Ontario Canada; our goal, investment in real estate as a business and vacation location. Ocean Palms Residences exceeded our expectation; the quality and finishes were at the North American Standards everyone is accustomed to and expect. The staff was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable of the product. The pricing and financing options, again exceeded our expectations and I am pleased to announce we have several sales pending over the next new weeks. Most important is to note the central location to Cabarete, Sosua, the beach and all the wonders of the North Coast. Lastly, the restaurant was incredible, the food, fresh, very well prepared and presented, the drinks, very local and the atmosphere very relaxing.
