- Elia Rafaela (9/5): Satisfacción - Las vistas y la paz , tranquilidad y estar rodeado de naturaleza. La via de acceso estan malísima, aunque estan en obras.

- Noé (10/5): Go and relax to the max - Context : We stayed there 3 nights. Not doing a retreat.
This place is wonderful. The wooden construction are very nice. The staff is super friendly. The yoga sessions are great. The pool is clean and beautiful. The rooms are big, good looking, with everything you need.
The breakfast are big and succulent. You are a bit isolated to San Juan del Sur. It's 15 min by car. The hostel on the other side of the road has some shuttles. At night some neighbors listen to music at high volume. But overall it's a quite place.
- Birdie NamNam (9/5): Quiet and relaxing - Very quiet and relaxing There are no restaurant in the premises. You have to take taxi to go to town.

- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Great pool and views and the rooms felt very luxurious!
- Paula (10/5): Peace, nature and relaxation. - Eden truly is a paradise! I felt relaxed the moment I arrived and saw the stunning ocean view. The bungalows are very comfortable and beautifully designed. I really felt like I was sleeping in nature. Breakfast was a daily highlight: super fresh and healthy! What made the stay even more special was the warm and personal atmosphere. The staff was always there for me. I absolutely loved the hikes to the nearby beaches and the massages I booked. Eden is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. I honestly can’t think of anything – everything was fantastic!
- Eva (10/5): Ultimate tranquility in nature! - Beautiful location surrounded by nature. The bungalows are spacious, clean and charming, with large, comfortable beds and quality mattresses. I slept like a baby. The food was fresh, healthy, and incredibly tasty! The staff was super friendly and helpful with booking my activities and transportation. The massage I added was deeply relaxing, and the yoga class was one of the best I’ve ever taken. Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, nature, and self-care! Absolutely nothing to complain about – except that I wish I could have stayed longer!
- Marlene (10/5): It was a very nourishing stay. - The property, the beach nearby, the food and the staff. Nothing
- Armando (9/5): Superb -
- Josh (10/5): Loved it, would stay again, so relaxing with great food and wonderful staff! - Amazing place! The owners have done really well to create what feels like a secluded jungle retreat without actually being that far from civilisation. The beds are so comfy, warm showers, AMAZING breakfast, staff are very friendly and attentive. Can’t fault the stay at all we loved it. Tranquillo vibes. The location is slightly out of the hustle and bustle with not many other amenities around (we knew this before booking so wouldn’t say this was a negative). We thought laundry was quite expensive albeit speedy.
- Noé (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hud2067 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karolina (10/5): Amazing stay - This place is amazing!! Incredible swimming pool with a view, beautiful rooms & bungalows. There is also a cold bath which is a great idea in this tropical weather. All in all the property is well taken care of.
The breakfast was really good and the best is that they modify it, so everyday you get different musli & type of eggs.
People working here are so friendly and helpful! The man at reception gave us so much of good advice about what to see in Nicaragua.
We were not part of yoga retreat so cannot say much about this. But you don’t need to be into yoga to enjoy this place.
We loved it here and would be happy to be back.
Beautful place :) Everythig was good
- Allysa (10/5): Fabulous place for a reset! The food, people and activities are just lovely! - Gorgeous and well taken care of. This place is aptly named. I liked that there were people from around the world but it isn’t a giant business. Very intimate.
- Lucia (8/5): Very good -
- Tatiana (10/5): I really liked the room - The place is nice but very far from the beach. There is no bar, but there is all kinds of food
- Bernart (10/5): Exceptional - Staff, place and food was really good. Definitely coming back.
- Milou (8/5): Relaxing accommodation outside SJDS - Relaxing vibe, great pool views, and delicious healthy and big breakfast! High quality bed and mosquito nets. If you’re not in to yoga - it is centered around this so breakfast is only at 9 etc so be aware about this. You’re also depended on the shuttles/taxis but it’s fairly easy to get and you can get reliable phone numbers.
- Ayberk (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaira (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (9/5): Superb - Lovely staff, cabins, view, food. My kids loved the warm pool and I loved the big clean beds under mosquito nets. I would love to come back and take advantage of the yoga and resort meals on another trip. Not their fault, but an asphalt yard opened up nearby and makes noise 8am-8pm. Not the pure jungle sounds I imagined, there is baseline construction noise anll day and no monkeys.
- Sam (10/5): Perfect. - Best breakfast of our trip- outstanding. Out of town location is very peaceful and connections back in to town easy with shuttle/reasonable taxi. Cracking pool. Friendly ambience and staff. (Bring bug spray.) Nada.
- Amber (6/5): Enjoyed it for what it was :) - We loved the healthy and fresh breakfasts, the view was beautiful, the setting peaceful and out of the main town hustle. We loved the thunderstorms and rain that cooled everything down and gave us the cosy feel of camping. By the end of our stay we felt appreciation for what the establishment was but think it would be beneficial for guests to be fully aware of this being a yoga retreat before booking. The vibe on arrival was incredibly strange, with us being the only two that weren't apart of the yoga retreat. However, the atmosphere lifted as the staff and yogi's came and went.
Our cabin with a 'view' was set overlooking the staff quarters and car park, it was exceptionally hot and our fans needed manual resetting each time the power cut throughout the night. With our cabins position it was quite noisy as work was being carried out in the morning and cars/bikes pulled in and out of the driveway.
Meal times are SET, everything revolving around the yoga retreat which is fine but they should really advertise it this way. It is not a restaurant where you arrive in your own time and order from a menu. FYI.
No hot water but you don't need it, trust me
SO MANY mosquitoes and no-see-ems so bring your bug spray!
- Luca (8/5): Very good - Great wooden rooms Breakfast time is limited. Only at 9. But the food was great.
- Noreen (10/5): You can reach Zen there! Great place hands down! - We had dinner there and it was absolutely delicious. Beautifully maintained surroundings. Howler Monkey's can be heard off in the distance. The wonderful pool. The view! And the nice breeze at night. Spectacular place. And the staff were absolutely delightful! Darling people! I have no dislikes!
- Yasmine (10/5): Exceptional - The peaceful location, the amazing view, the yoga class.Everything is made to relax.
The staff is super friendly and helpful
- Louis (7/5): Relax and Zen - Overall was nice. Pool
Was really relaxed. No non vegan food.
Bit pricy compared to Nica standards.
- Sherri (10/5): Warm, inviting place for yoga and more. - A calm and peaceful vibe. The yoga teachers were exceptional, and all of the staff were kind. I love the refreshing pool, and the yoga studio could not have had a better view. The rooms are a little sparse. They could do with more surface area for, perhaps, sitting and reading, and even a place to put your luggage. I have to agree with those who said that the beds are uncomfortable.
- Christine (10/5): A very nice and peaceful place to relax for a few days. - A very beautiful and peaceful place to relax for a few days. Very friendly hosts and staff. The sessions with yoga and other offers (e.g. Pilates or Cacao Ceremony) were great. The price for dinner is relatively high, but the food is very good.
- Bigas (10/5): Amazing unique experience. We would return. - The yoga was exceptional. Very friendly staff and great food. It was solar heated water so no hot showers but cool showers were refreshing.
- Marilia (8/5): Beautiful but - Eden is a wonderful retreat center with amazing views over the San Juan del sur bay. The yoga shala is beautiful overlooking the water. The food was also nice and homemade and we were eating together with all the other guests fostering a sort of community. The accommodation part of Eden is not as excellent. The beds are uncomfortable and the towels are harsh. Although a retreat center it is very loud at night with noise from the hostel below blending in with the roosters waking you at at 4 am. The location is also rather remote making it hard to access the nearby beach ( 20 min walk ) or the town ( 10
Min drive / 7$ each way. The yoga and activities can be a hit or miss.
- Olivia (3/5): I cannot recommend a hotel where you cannot sleep. - The property is mostly well kept and the staff are mostly helpful. The views are lovely. The food is quite good and portions are, if anything, overly generous. Unfortunately, quality sleep is the number one function of a hotel, and this was a 0. There is a rooster next to the hotel that crows as early as 3am, way before sunrise. Since the cabins don’t have soundproofing (they are essentially transparent to light and noise, with mosquito nets over the beds providing the real safety against bugs), this ruined our sleep night after night. There was just no way around it.
It’s not fair to the owner—not their fault; they’ve tried to talk to that neighbor, who refuses to do anything to reduce the very real economic & social damage they are causing—but it does make me want to warn other guests. The minister of tourism of Nicaragua should try to somehow reduce antagonistic behaviors against tourism; I heard of several such examples while there (that sounded like pure bad faith antagonism).
- Elena (6/5): Pleasant - good yoga class Dirty, uncomfortable beds and pillows. There is only cold water in the shower. Not worth the money.
- Abboud (10/5): Wonderful stay - Great stay, amazing location, Charming views, very friendly host team and co-residents. Highly recommended.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - It is such a lovely Hotel with cabanas, some of them with a beautiful sea view. They offer yoga classes/retreats which you can be part of, if you want to. The meals are held together in a family/friends’ like atmosphere where the manager, the yoga teachers etc. sit with you at the table and you are welcome to join or not. Everything is done with so much love and care and I can definitely recommend. They also offer excursions e. g. to Granada and one free excursion down to the center of San Juan del Sur and the Cristo statue. Highly recommended stay!!
- Scarlett (9/5): Superb - - Awesome food
- Great Yoga place and view
- Kirsten (10/5): Amazing and peaceful paradise in Nicaragua - Top location with most amazing views on the jungle and bay of San Juan del Sur.
Best vegan food we’ve had in Nicaragua.
Friendly staff and great yoga rituals.
- Venus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gail (10/5): An amazing retreat in the hills. A perfect place for a yoga retreat it just total relaxation - It is a stunning retreat surrounded by nature. The communal areas are lovely. Everyone is encouraged to eat together so that’s helpful as a solo traveller. It’s vegetarian food and no alcohol. There are yoga sessions and a pool. Sublime I noticed on my bank statement before I arrived that half the money had been deducted. Then on arrival the full total was also deducted. I was told that I will get the first payment returned in a week!! After using Booking.com for many years now, this has never happened and is not a good system for travellers. The onus is on me to keep checking daily to see if I have got my money back. I leave the country today so if there are problems, it will be difficult for me. Just don’t do it! No one else does. They take the card number to secure the booking and that’s fine.
- Che (9/5): Superb -
- Agra (9/5): Superb -
- Ugolev024 (10/5): Amazing stay. Loved it. Awesome staff, beautiful view, great yoga and deliiiicious food! - Staff is awesome, welcoming and take part in the meals.
The two yoga teachers are really good, attentive, conscientious, intelligent, empathetic, challenging,...
Food is ammaaazzziinnnnggg. Def recommend taking the retreat package.
Place is so beautiful! Especially the yoga room with the view on the bay and mountains.
Massage felt amazing! Some of the food options arent always available. Couldn't get the lunch option at 330 when it is supposed to be available from 1 to 5.
No A/C.
The double bed is actually two single bed put together.
The shower in my first room had good pressure (room #4), but the second shower head was really weak (room #3).
- Helen (8/5): nice for some RNR - accommodation and pool set menu and set meal times. I think it’s naughty to not mention this when you book. I am also not vegan so I would have like to have been informed before I made the booking.
- Emma (9/5): Amazing stay with amazing people - The property is stunning, for the room being totally open I felt like the bug net did a good job and didn't get bitten whilst asleep. The staff are amazing, I had never done yoga before and it was a great experience Monica was really lovely and was great with all the different abilities.
All the staff were so friendly and kind. The breakfast was huge so much food was different every day and really delicious. We didn't have the dinner but the other guests really raved about it and recommended doing the package. There is a shuttle from the space hostel across the street for $2 into San Juan del sur and was easy to get about. Really amazing stay we got engaged whilst in Nicaragua and staying here really made our trip so special. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. The space hostel can throw parties from time to time and can get loud but earplugs did the trick.
- Noam (10/5): I had a fantastic stay and will definitely come back to Eden next time I am in Nicaragua! - The pool, the views, the staff, the food, the atmosphere...everything! The loud music from a hotel nearby (due to Semana Santa).
- Ida (9/5): Superb - Super nice staff, great value for money! Lovely place with great simple facilities Very warm, a cat was sitting on our bed when we came home from dinner, seems like the cleaning lady didnt close the door when she cleaned. Otherwise good. Lunch is expensive if you decide to eat in
- Emmanuel (7/5): Good - Beautiful view from the pool. Big beautiful cottage. We enjoyed our stay here, mainly relaxing at the pool. Breakfast time is at a late hour (9 am) and not flexible if you e.g. need to leave early at the day of your checkout.
Only 3 sunbeds and 2 chairs at the pool.
I personally think the lunch and diner prices are too high.
Also a time before we arrived we sent them a message asking if we could arrange something, a special dinner/activity (as it is was our anniversary) but they sent us the standard activities. Also no wine present at the time to celebrate ;)
- Arseny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Poppy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olga (8/5): Very good - Overall cleanliness of the premises, cute dog and cats. Surroundings are tranquil, view from common area is beautiful. Own cottage with own patio where you can sit, enjoy, move. Rich 2 course breakfast, tea, coffee from 7am, filtered water. Net over the bed. Location - muddy road with lot of pot holes and trash right behind the main gate. Far from city center, you either have to pay taxi ($10-20) or shuttle from theSpace or Casa Oro ($3-5). This accommodation does not provide free shuttle. Also, I am sensitive to night sounds and the main road was noisy for me, also there are parties across the street in theSpace over the weekends. Bring ear plugs.
No drinks or food allowed to bring, so if you expect to bring your own food and/or snacks and drinks, it is officially not allowed.
I'd say that the staff has a lot to learn about hospitality and services, meaning I was the one I had to ask, so lack of given information, it's good they are nice people and kind of laid back but impractical. For example, the shuttles that run to city/beach, I wasn't informed about them when we checked in and I specifically asked them about shuttles, we had to find the information on our own. We ordered surfing at 10am and when the pick up didn't come I was the one that had to go to the reception and ask what happened (rescheduled to 14), saying they couldn't find us (we were in the room), for me it is expected that the staff informed us. Also, we ordered taxi because we needed to be in the centre at 05:45am for shuttle and asked about the price, they said it is $5 dollars and didn't mentioned per person, luckily we had some Cordobas to give it to the driver. So, this is not a service that I would give rating of 10.
