• Sara (10/5): Lovely place to stop - The place was really nice, everything was perfect and the owers very friendly. It was little bit difficult to find may be because is was too dark. There is available a kitchen with full equipment and a nice dinning room. The town is more or less 6 min by car. The area is very quiet and the room with a good size. The bathroom was very clean and had amenities. The breakfast is self-service and complete ( eggs, yogurt, fruit, toast, butter, jam, coffe, tea, honey, muesli and more things I can not remember ;) I will sure recommend anyone to stay there :)

They definetly went the extra mile. The breakfast was continental but wholesome and plentiful. Very much worth another stay and definetely one of our highlights of of 2 month trip around the North Island

There is a nice, easy nature walk across the road. It was a quick drive into the town centre. Great location and wonderful hosts. We will be back.

As they have two bedrooms sharing the kitchen/ living area it’s perfect for a small family. Lovely hosts , convenient location and spotless. Highly recommended.

• Susan (10/5): Brilliant B&B - In this B&B you actually share half of the owners house, this is somewhat different to anything I have done before, but works out rather well. You get your own front door, decking area with BBQ and table and seating. You get your own bedroom the one we had was on-suite , you can lock your bedroom door. The bedding, toiletries and decor are 1st class. There are 2 bedrooms so you share the kitchen and lounge with the other people. Breakfast is provided, cereals,yoghurts,bread and jams. You can use the fully fitted kitchen, there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer and a fridge freezer. Doug and Felicity the hosts are lovely welcoming people and will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

• Kerry (10/5): Top place with everything provided - This accommodation exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Doug and Felicity were great hosts who were available if we needed them but did not intrude. I loved all the little extra touches such as a variety of breakfast foods including beautiful fresh fruit all just waiting to be enjoyed as well as the offer of the use of the hot tub. Furniture and furnishings were tasteful and well cared for as well as very comfortable. It was easy to find and access was easy. Doug and Felicity were able to make suggestions for dining which were most appreciated. The area was private with lovely trees and outdoor furniture on a private deck which would be lovely for summer. Thanks for such an enjoyable stay and we would be more than happy to stay again or recommend as it was perfect for what we needed.

Made to feel very welcome and a super breakfast each morning. A very lovely quiet neighbourhood yet only a few minutes drive to the centre of Cambridge. You also have use of the hot tub.

• Frances (10/5): A lovely place to stay in a quiet, leafy town - Doug and Felicity were our attentive hosts at the Marlowe B&B. It comprises an apartment, sunny and light, with a large living room and two bedrooms, one of which has a bathroom ensuite. (The apartment has a private entrance, with parking and a deck.) The kitchen is fully equipped and an assortment of breakfast items including eggs, bread, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit was provided. This apartment would be perfect for a family. We were only a couple, but since the second bedroom was unoccupied during our stay we had the whole place to ourselves. Doug was extremely helpful, advising us on tour reservations and even providing his own phone to make them. The Cambridge is a lovely town, and the B&B is located in a quiet street convenient to city center.
• Charles (10/5): Exceptional hospitality in relaxing surroundings - We are traveling now for almost two weeks and have stayed at many homes and met many pleasant and interesting hosts. However, Felicity and Doug are surely the best we have met so far. Their home in the lovely leafy town of Cambridge makes an excellent base for visiting Hobbiton. Doug suggested a back route to Hobbiton that was one of the most scenic pastoral roads that we have been on. Felicity made sure we had everything for making a wonderful breakfast, including eggs. Her thoughtfulness appears everywhere in the house. Whatever we didn't have time to find in Auckland we found in the stores in Cambridge, including a pharmacy and electronics store. It was a pleasure to chat with Felicity and Doug and learn about the area. On their recommendation we tried the Five Stags, which turned out to be a hunting lodge themed restaurant with good food. We can definitely recommend this B&B.

The rooms were as depicted in the photos, the place was well-heated by the heat pump, and was only a short driving distance from central Cambridge. Doug was friendly, hospitable and shared great insight about things to do in the area, which included the local lake (thanks Doug!). We were very pleased with our stay there and are looking forward to returning in the near future. :)

Living room & kitchen also great. Added bonus of sky TV & Internet. We were also able to use washing machine & dryer if we wanted too. I would recommend to anyone to stay.
