- Jan (9/5): - The garden has a beautiful view on the mountains
Well equipet Kitchen
Very clean interiors The beds are a bit too hard.
- David (10/5): В целом все нормально - Чисто просторно Кровати немного жестковаты
- 원 (10/5): - 울산바위 뷰가 아주 좋아요
- Santiago (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, spacious, full kitchen, beautiful garden and mountain views. Close to treks. Good price
- Hubert (8/5): Very good - I had a great stay in Gipson Guesthouse. The room was remarkably clean and the host was very attentive.
You should know before coming that the mattress is very hard, but if you don't mind that you will enjoy your stay. the location is not ideal and requires taking the bus to go to town and the park.
- Shane42 (5/5): Not great - Friendly owner who was responsive to messages etc Location is terrible. Very infrequent 30min long buses to town.
Beds are super hard (yes I know I'm in Korea lol)
No water filter
On the opposite side of mountain from national park so you have to go back through town
Way to expensive considering poor location
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Quite place away from the city business Availability of the public transportation
- Yuichiro (8/5): Relax, clean and amazing scenary hotel - Owner was friendy and welcomely even he dose speak only a few words in English.
Always quick response for message, super new and clean room!
U can see the famouse rock in Mt seoraksan from garden Location was a bit far from center and not many buses
- Hannelore (9/5): Very nice stay at a very nice guest house. - It was very clean and the facilities were great. The host was very friendly. The public transportation was a bit unpredictable and therefore it was not super easy to reach.
- Chin (7/5): Nice place to stay but not a convenient location. - The owner was kind and friendly. Sent me to the bus station on my last day which saved me a lot of time if I were to take the bus. Location was not convenient for visiting the town and the National Park as the bus comes only every 2 hours.
- Bhaskara (7/5): Good -
- Matilda (8/5): Very good -
- Waqas (7/5): Good - Every thing is good.
- Sander (7/5): Great location and value for money, no locks or lockers - The location close to the main road without being able to hear it was great. You’re in Sereoksan or Sokcho within a 20 minute drive. The value for money was great, as was sharing the kitchen space with other guests, while we were staying here it was only Koreans. We got offered kimchi and tea, all guests were very friendly and curious about why we traveled here. The outside door is quite load, we were staying in the room right next to it and had trouble sleeping at night and in the morning because of other guests going in and out. There’s no locks on either the door outside or to your room, and there’s no lockers available. The owner lives in the house right next door and with Korea being a very safe country this wasn’t too big of a problem for us but we considered it to be a bit strange.
The rooms were small with not many space to put your luggage, the beds are quite wide so we had our bags on the bed while sleeping. The beds are Korean style, if you’re not used to this consider bringing a camping mattress or something.
Bathroom could have been cleaner.

- Devan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Great and really helpful owner - It was only a short visit for me as I was visiting the national park (great location to do so) the owner was so helpful and gave me step by step how to get there. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable and had all the necessary facilities in the kitchen and bathroom. It was a quiet relaxing get away and had everything you need. The owner even went above and beyond - I had to get a bus early the next morning back to Seoul and the owner kindly drove me to the station. Highly reccomend staying here! Overall great experience
- William (9/5): Superb - Small and cozy and quiet.Close to the main entrance of Seoraksan National Park. A little in the middle of nowhere, but I had a rental car and could go downtown easily.
- Linda (9/5): Great house with a kind owner and good facilities! - Nice and spacious house with great facilities. The owner is a really kind and caring man. The property was a bit far away from the city and the park. If you have a car it's not problem, but if you don't you might have to rent a bicycle or get a taxi to go around the place. Other than that I would definitely stay again!
- Koorn (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and helpful owner, good and clean kitchen with many facilities, the bathroom was clean and big, beautiful rooftop with mountain view. A lot of reviews say the location is a downside. If your prepared and bring enough groceries this should not be a problem. Taxi to and from the city is around 12.000 won/15 minutes and the national park the same, so it’s not too bad!! I looked at the other guesthouses around the area and most of it its the same story, so this was for me the best option and I am not dissapointed!
- Adèle (7/5): Good - The view was really amazing, and the rooms warmed during winter. The bathroom was also clean and large. The only problem was the location, it is outside of Sokcho and there is only few bus per day, so I had to do autostop to go to seoraksan.
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant -
- Torrealba (10/5): Warm floors, cozy house, kind host. - Gilson, the owner is very kind and the floor of the bedroom is warm. I just loved the place. For guest without car is a little inconvenient because is close to the park but away from downtown
- Georgy (9/5): Superb -
- Marie (6/5): Pleasant - the house is very nice and clean it is very far from the city and the buses are very rare. be prepared to spend a lot on taxi fare !
- Maxence (8/5): Very good - Warm, cosy, a lot of power supply.
- Jasmijn (7/5): Good - I think this was the only cheap place in Sokcho that I could find. It was clean and the owner is friendly. The location is a bit far from everything. There is only one bus but it does not ride often. There are only 2 small shops on walking distance and maybe 2 restaurants, so best to bring some food with you. On the other hand was to location very quiet, surrounded by nature.
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
