• Andrea (5/5): Good location. Some issues - Centrally located. We were able to check in early and the property manager was nice. was very very hot in the main room of the apartment. There were air conditioners in the 2 bedrooms but they weren't turned on prior to arrival and it took almost 24 hours to really cool down as it is an attic apartment. Because of how hot the rooms were, we chose not to leave the doors open to the main living room so that we would be able to sleep comfortably. Therefore, the main room remained unbearably hot. This is something to keep in mind in the summer months. This likely would not have been an issue had the AC been turned on prior to arrival to cool the space down. The apartment is also the top floor of the owner's home which is separated by a glass partition and in the other side is a spiral staircase down to their apartment. They were quite quiet but we could still hear their dishes, alarm, talking (quietly), etc. We did not know this is a semi-shared space when we booked. Ants also became a problem in the kitchen on our second day even though we were careful to wipe down counters and clean crumbs. We chose not to alert the owner as we did not want any pesticides sprayed while we were there. The terrace was a nice spot to sit when the sun went down but I did have to clean the table a few times as it hadn't been done in a while. The terrace floor could have used a sweeping as it left our feet dirty but we didn't want to wear our outside shoes to walk through the apartment. The beds situation is as follows since at the time of my booking it was confusing in the listing: There are two twin beds pushed together in both of the rooms to make queen sized beds and one additional cot (a bit smaller than a twin) in one of the two bedrooms. The mattresses are very basic and stiff.

We had a wonderful stay with n Verona and felt spoiled staying in such a gorgeous accommodation! The grocery store was right downstairs and we were right in the old town close to all the sites. • Frank (4/5): Great location and hosts, but a very strange space - The apartment is centrally located on a quiet piazza with easy access to everything, Tito and Giordana (the owners) are lovely and responsive, and the apartment was clean. It's really not great for families. We made it work, but the entire place is packed to the gills with books, knick knacks and other items; literally every surface. It's small, and the kitchen is not actually a kitchen; it's essentially a hotel kitchenette. What wasn't clear from the listing and was quite weird is the large "glass box" in the center of the apartment, which is open to the unit below. So, you clearly hear conversations, doorbells, etc. It feels a little invasive on both sides. Finally, this is an ATTIC apartment, so the ceilings are extremely sloped and you do a lot of crouching and bending under the rafters.

• Janice (10/5): A very comfortable stay and it was an honor having met the Tacchella family - I would be remiss if I didn’t spend enough time and effort leaving this review. From the get-go, Giordana and Tito — the founder of the successful Italian clothing brand, Carrera Jeans, with 40 stores throughout Italy — have been nothing but the most accommodating and helpful of hosts. Tito met us at the closed-to-cars Ponte Nuovo and, boy, I’ve never seen an octogenarian on foot beat my (granted, snail-paced) driving into the old town! The apartment is in a historic building above their own apartment and has everything you’d need, except for dishwasher and washing machine. My mother and our helper put up in an apartment just across town, arranged by their kind their daughter-in-law, Lucia. I cannot speak highly enough of the family and their accommodations in Verona. Weak wifi (cannot connect in the far/bigger bedroom). Also, no washing machine.

• Susan (6/5): We did enjoy our stay and the location was fabulous but I would not recommend this flat. - Location was brilliant and the owners had obviously put in a lot of effort to make guests comfortable. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the two bathrooms were very functional with plenty of hot water. The Wifi was very poor. only operational occasionally and only on one device. You could not use a laptop and Whatsapp at the same time. The flat was dark and over furnished with owners personal items which made it hard to keep track of one's own belongings. The main downside was that there was a central area in the flat that connected to the owners flat below and that anyone who rang the doorbell to their flat or telephoned could be heard in the apartment above. There were also some building works going on so this could also be heard. It was disconcerting because you felt that your privacy was compromised and that someone else was in the flat with you.
