Guest Reviews
- Brenda (8/5): - The cost of the stay matched the value, with the exception of the breakfast. If I had a recommendation, it would be for an improved breakfast menu.
- Joseph (4/5): - Hotel smells.like smoke. Shower head sprayed all over the place. Noticed some black spots on the sheets from previous bed bugs
- Stephanie (2/5): Don't stay here - So bad. I was treated horrible by the owner just because I was traveling with my service dog. Which they knew about when I booked and wasn't a problem when I checked in. Only was a problem 6 hours after I checked in. The floor was sticky and the room smelled so bad it made both me and my dog sick. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a homeless person. I would rather stay at the crappy motel down the road. Hope this place gets shut down.
- Timothy (10/5): - The room was very large. Good TV reception.
- Christopher (2/5): - The hotel is a bit run down to begin with. The price we paid I feel was robbery for what we got. The first room we were put in had a bad enough smell that we bought some plug in air fresheners to make it tolerable. The bathtub did not look very clean as well. Once the sink started backing up on us, I went to the front desk to express the issue. While I sent my family down to the pool and I sat in my room while the manager snaked the pipe in the wall, after about 30-40 minutes of his attempt they decided to move us into another room. The next room was definitely better than the first. Now my largest concern/complaint would be that when we got back to the hotel both nights that we were there, there were multiple men that were sitting leaning up against vehicles drinking and sleeping. When we walked into the hotel which the doors to get into the hotel do not lock, there was guys passed out on stairs. I seriously felt uneasy having my family there or even just leaving my vehicle parked outside. I have been to MANY hotels and this was by far the worst.
- David (10/5): New owners have upgraded significantly - Stayed here s couple of years ago when it wss called econolodge. New owners have improved it a lot. Beds abd sheets are far more comfortable than before. Place is much cleaner. Bathrooms still need an upgrade. The pool was much cleaner.
- Susan (4/5): - The hotel was run down & dirty. Chair in our room had a large stain on it, pool was closed, towels were stained, towel rack in bathroom was missing, we were afraid to eat the free breakfast, so went out to eat. Not worth the money!!
- Scott (8/5): It's a decent place to stay - It's a older, renovated, no frills hotel like Motel 6 etc. It does a have a pool which I didn't bother to check out. It is kept clean and not a bad place to stay. My only gripe would be the bed/mattress was "flat". About what you would expect anyway in many hotels. Small breakfast area with hot waffle iron, cereal, bagel and toast.
- Marne (8/5): - My granddaughters and I were in Wisconsin Rapids for a gymnastics competition. We came up the day before. The girls and I had a wonderful time swimming in the hotel pool, it was nice and warm. The owner was very nice and the beds were very comfortable.
- James (10/5): - Quiet clean place to stay the night. The owner was very accommodating of my needs. Will book again in 2 months
- Cody (10/5): - Large rooms, breakfast, located next to Walgreens. Great staff, very helpful
- David (4/5): - Bathrooms were out dated, the floors were dirty, property was run down and needed up dating.
- Vernie (8/5): - New owners are improving everything. They were very polite, accommodating and helpful.
The indoor pool looked great, clean and fresh.
For the location and price, I was pleased with the stay. Perfect for a blue-collar, cost-focused traveler.
Looking forward to seeing more improvements on my next trip through town!
- Tim (10/5): - It was close to the people we were visiting, shopping close by
- Marcy (4/5): - It was ok. No mention that pool/hot tub out of commission.
- Ashten (4/5): - Hotel smells like mold and mildew due to water damage. There were faded Christmas and Halloween decorations in the lobby left up from last year I assume. Breakfast was slim pickings as far as options, fruit, waffles or cereal. Bed was decerped and had no comforter just sheets. Will not be staying here again.
- Xena (6/5): - The property has an odor.
The location is closeby stores and downtown.
- Kathleen (8/5): - Hotel was under new management. Only one clerk 24/7 and he was not always available. Did not always answer the phone. Waffle mix low, didn’t know where it was stored. Milk in frig, coffee had been made for breakfast. Juice available as was yogurt, bagels, cereal, toast and muffins. Couldn’t locate extra blankets so took blanket from other bed in room. Satisfactory for $. Even though Expedia charged more than I was charged at hotel. I am looking into that!
