• Tobias_D (9/5): Rustikal gemütliches Ambiente in der Weinlandachaft - Sehr gemütlich eingerichtetes Zimmer und freundliche Gastgeber. Sehr leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Toll gestaltete Unterkunft insgesamt mit verschiedenen Einrichtungsstilen. Das Badezimmer könnte moderner sein und mehr Möglichkeiten für eine schnelle Erwärmung bieten.

The Braai was really good, though a bit much for us but we are both very small eaters. Breakfast was perfect too and felt like high quality food. Would definitely recommend!

Wir hätten den vollen Preis bezahlen müssen. 2. Die Zimmer sind extrem hellhörig. 3. Man genießt wenig Privatsphäre, da andere Gästen den selben Balkon benutzen und immer am Zimmer vorbeigehen 4. Für eine Reinigung und frische Handtücher musste man separat Bescheid geben (was wir nicht wussten) 5. Auch fehlte uns die gute Seele des Hauses, irgendwie fühlte man sich irgendwie alleine

Danke an alle auch an den wunderbaren Koch, bei dem man merkt, dass er das was er tut mit Passion tut und man schmeckt es! Danke an Alle.

• Silke (8/5): Eine sehr schöne, Kleine und komfortable Lodge mit einem kleinen Minuspunkt. - Die Lage ist toll. Außerdem ist es eine sehr kleine und somit persönliche Lodge. Alle sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück ist a la carte … Einen Morgen haben wir ein zweites Gericht (Joghurt mit Obst) von der Karte bestellt und mussten es extra zahlen. Als Mann ist das Frühstück nicht ausreichend.

• Mike (4/5): Misleading description. Great location. Lots of potential but things need to be fixed. - The welcome wine was much appreciated. Cabin kitchen was really well equipped. Lovely views/location. Mostly friendly staff. Michael was excellent. In the grounds of Louisvale Winery which has an excellent restaurant with stunning views (and discount). Nice restaurant in Log Collective. Log fire was excellent on a cool evening. Good kitchen garden to provide fresh vegetables, tomatoes, herbs, etc. The listing is misleading. Other potential guests have questioned a number of features but listing hasn't been made clearer, especially regarding shared private vs facilities. The "balcony" suggests upper floor but it was actually a patio/terrace for a ground floor. Lower cabin (Log Apartment) is extremely noisy when guests walking above; a structural issue that can't be changed. No hot water until fixed half hour before checkout. No headboards on any of the 3 beds. Flies are a problem; automatic fly-killer spray didn't work. Be prepared to share a table with other guests in the dining area, so not a romantic venue. Lots of noise from mowing and strimming.

Es ist phantastisch dort - das ganze Anwesen, die Zimmer, das Ambiente, der Ausblick, die total netten, offenen und zuvorkommenden Besitzer, das ganze Personal, die beiden Hunde und die sehr coole Katze Socks. Wenn es überhaupt etwas zu verbessern gäbe (Jammern auf höchstem Niveau), dann käme beim Frühstück ein kleines Buffet gut an, mit etwas mehr Obst, Joghurt, Nüssen etc. Aber wahrscheinlich würde man das alles auf Nachfrage auch bekommen.

• Isabelle (9/5): Relaxing place - Fantastic place to stay after a full day visiting wineries. We booked a lovely two bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The beds were comfy. We did not use the kitchen but it seemed to have what was needed to cook a simple meal. Staff were lovely and breakfast very nice.
• Michelle (10/5): A cosy, comfortable, and relaxing getaway - perfect for dialing down! - Great getaway for relaxation, located close to Stellenbosch and many well-known vineyards. If you choose, you can dine in; the menu is simple but great, and the food is very tasty. The view from everywhere on the property is breathtaking. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated with a well-equipped kitchenette and spacious bathroom. There was a cosy communal lounge with a fireplace and several great outdoor areas(Pool, spa, firepit etc). Similar issue with the provided hairdryer that I have had at another location - Hairdryer Safeway brand that unfortunately does not plug in properly, thus making it very difficult to use
• Steven (10/5): Gorgeous stay in the vineyards of Stellenbosch - Amazing views, great food in the restaurant. The team could be more proactive in communicating the activities that are possible. We did end up getting a massage and doing a wine tour, but it would be good to have an introduction on arrival of everything that is possible at such a lovely location.

Also we were charged for two glasses of wine even when signs on tables said the braai included a bottle of wine. When we asked staff we were told it was just a glass included, but even this we were charged for. Breakfasts were ok but the fruit on offer was unripe and hard.

• Manuela (10/5): Relaxing stay in a beautiful area - Amazing little hotel with a beautiful view over the vineyards! Everything was perfect, the room, the pool, the view! I loved that they have high quality bedding and sheets as well as that they provided bathrobes and pool towels! Breakfast was delicious, you could choose one main from the menu. In the evening, we had a lovely time by the chimney. A cute cat to pet and two dogs are also around. The only thing that irritated me were the high prices for dinner. While I understand that it’s a small place, I had a vegetarian Pojite for 590 Rant! That’s roughly 30€ and in my opinion really overpriced for some rice with vegetable curry - especially because they rushed us to order dinner right when we arrived and prices were not mentioned then.
• Steve (10/5): Best escape ever! - The staff were extremely welcoming, and quickly organised our Luxury open plan villa, organised lighting the fire to heat the jacuzzi and answered any questions. The appliances were all top spec and very comfy bed. Great, food and wine at the main building. Felt very private and quiet, was sad to leave!

Bonus having 2 friendly dogs on site! Breakfast finished at 9 - I felt this was early for a Sunday especially as we were staying at the venue post a wedding on site.

• Stefanie (6/5): Super schön mit einem “aber” - Mega Lage für Ruhe suchende. Toller Garten, das beste Bett, in dem ich je geschlafen habe Und Kenzo/Stewart sind sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstück ist leider das schlechteste was wir in allen Unterkünften hatten. Man kann nur eine Speise auswählen. Jede weitere Speise kostet 15 € pro Person. Die Portionen sind allerdings überschaubar. Ich hatte eine Scheibe Brot mit Käse bestellt. Der Käse war Gratinkäse und es wurden 15€ berechnet. Das Müsli ist nicht hausgemacht und die Obstauswahl sehr dürftig. Das Braai ist absolut überteuert für südafrikanische Verhältnisse. Deshalb nur 6 Punkte.

• Yongjie (10/5): - The breakfast was wonderful. The breathtaking view is all around. The room is nicely designed & very comfortable. The hosts are very warm & friendly. It's a great & lovely experience staying.

• Brigitte (9/5): - Sehr schöne Lage, etwas abseits von Stellenbosch. Auto erforderlich. Das Frühstück war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auswahl aus ca. fünf Menüs. Kein Brot, Käse oder Fleisch. Was serviert wurde war aber sehr gut. Wir wohnten in der Villa. Sehr schöne Lage mit Hotpot und Aussenbadewanne. Kein Pool bei der Villa. Es hatte für die Küche keine Lappen, Geschirrtücher, Abwaschtabs. Das hat man auf einer Rundreise leider nicht dabei. Waschmaschine war defekt.

What really sets this accommodation apart, though, is the incredibly friendly staff. They are attentive, warm, and genuinely make you feel cared for, almost as if they can read your wishes before you even say them. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway! 🌟
