Guest Reviews
- Matthieu (10/5): A beautiful room in a renovated house in the Old Town of Veria with a view on the river. -
- Dantech (8/5): -

- Diana (5/5): - All fine It was challenging to reach by car
- christian (10/5): Parfait - Super
- Greg (10/5): Excellent stay - Great location, beautiful room The coffee could be better
- Hyer (10/5): Luxurious room in a quiet and historically important part of Varia. Beautiful ancient architecture. - Very nice breakfast, cooked to order. It came with a selection of toast, omelet, nuts, cheeses, meats, lemon cake etc. There wasn't anything I didn't like.

- CARLOS JAVIER (10/5): -
- David (8/5): In an old Ottoman mansion - The location, in the old Jewish quarter, is excellent- but an absolute nightmare to find. Do your homework beforehand! Good buffet breakfast. Room smaller than expected.
- Sneji (10/5): -

Rien
- Michael (9/5): A warm welcome at this traditional family-run hotel. Utterly charming and full of character. - A charming property that provides you with a very comfortable stay at a family-run traditional hotel. The room was beautifully furnished and decorated, perfectly illustrating the history of that district. Everyone we spoke to was polite, welcoming and very accommodating. The breakfast was simple, but fresh and delicious and served in an elegant dining area. The neighbourhood itself is quiet and luscious, with only the sound of a distant waterfall. There are some excellent restaurants nearby too. Nothing springs to mind. We had only a one night stay.

- Silvio (9/5): - charming hotel in a nice position. breakfast to be improved.
- Jude (8/5): -
- ines (8/5): -
- Nikolaos (7/5): - A very old house in the Jewich quarters of Verria, renovated with style and personal taste.
The location is superb, the vibes of the small neighborhood are extreme. The 5Euros charge for the parking in a 160Euros room was comical.
The mail to pay the reservation directly to the hotel withinh the day, which arrived on a Sunday - this is a reason not to book again.
- ida (10/5): - Hotel molto accogliente e caratteristico, staff cordiale e gentile. Posizione tranquilla con affaccio sul fiume. Possibilità di parcheggiare proprio sotto l'hotel Tutto benissimo

- Georgia (10/5): - Amazing!!! The hotel itself is gorgeous and very clean. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable.
We would open the window at night just to hear the water running in the nearby river.
The small historical neighbourhood is majestic and so peaceful.
The staff at Kokkino Spiti went above and beyond. Very friendly, welcoming and professional.
They treated us so well, they made sure we were comfortable and treated my 90 year old father with such kindness.
The breakfast was great, we were treated to the local olives, jams, fresh bread and local yogurt and honey.
We are definitely coming back!!!
- Clive (8/5): Very good -
- Adrian (7/5): It was all fine, but I did worry about the car. Some clear staff instructions would have greatly helped me as a UK drive - Comfortable and close to monuments Parking. From overseas, we struggled to get a space for our car in the narrow streets. The 10/10 thing to do would have been for someone to show us the way to park our car at or near to the hotel, but in the end we had to rely on nearby people to advise us and we ended up at a not-so-close public parking space.
- Anda (10/5): Unique boutique hotel in Veria - The house is an architectural gem located in the old jewish quarter of Veria. After remaining unoccupied for decades it was acquired by its current owners and revived to its original splendor. This endeavor took a long time and a significant investment, but now guests can enjoy a unique boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished, and relaying a feeling of home and cosiness. A pity we only spent one night there, but hope to return and also visit Veria, a town with a rich history. Being a family business, breakfast is also consisting of local fresh produce and home-made marmelades and cakes plus local honey.
A big thank you to the owners. The only problem with Kokkino Spiti is to find your way to the dedicated parking lot by car. We arrived at night during an unfolding summer tempest and the address on Waze takes you to the entrance dedicated when arriving on foot. Lookily one of the hosts came to rescue and drove with us to the parking lot, otherwise extremely complicated to find. Beware, reception desk closes at 22:00.
- Lina (9/5): Superb - This hotel is a lovely old house with a charming green yard on a small square in the heart of the old town and a balcony above the river - really authentic atmosphere! Fully and carefully renovated for a perfect comfort. Very friendly and helpful staff. The best place to stay in Veria ---
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (9/5): Highly recommended - The beauty of the building, the quietness of the area The breakfast was rather limited, not up to the general quality of the place
- Emmanuel (10/5): A great listed building, beautifully renovated. - Perfect location, pleasant staff, excellent room with a comfortable double bed.The building is nicely renovated, maintaining it's wonderful character. Everything was top notch.
- Roxana (9/5): A lovely place full of character. - This is a lovely hotel situated in a very special location rich in history.
- Robin (10/5): If you visit Veria, or Aigai (Vergina), this is the place to stay! - Gorgeous wood lined room with balcony over wooded river with mountains in the background. Charming old building beautifully restored. Parking a massive bonus. In the heart of the more picturesque part of Veria. Friendly, helpful team. Delicious breakfast. Exceptional walkable nearby restaurants. Nothing comes to mind.
- Andrew (10/5): - Location was in a fabulous setting. Upgraded on arrival to a junior suite. Decided to gave breakfast which was a good decision
- Sarah (10/5): A lovely break from big city travelling. - A very quiet area with river sound; you know you are not in the city, but the town is just a short walk away.
- Robert (10/5): Lovely historic boutique hotel. - This historic hotel is a gem. The room was terrific. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was close to the main part of the town. Parking was available near the hotel. Nothing to dislike. The hotel is exceptional.
- Katerina (8/5): Very good -
- Sarlani (10/5): The best place to stay at Veroia, value for money hotel with very central location. - Beautiful boutique hotel with excellent design and very friendly staff. Very centrally located and quite spacious room. Would definitely return back!
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful hotel, very well kept, in a charming area. Extremely nice and helpful staff.
- Muni (6/5): Pleasant -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property beautifully renovated
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Location, Room Decoration.
- Iva (10/5): Exceptional - The sound of the water, the brilliant fresh air, the cozy room and homemade breakfast! The place with history.
Everything was perfect!
- Thomas (10/5): Great staff, nice room, good location, no traffic noise. We would definately stay here again. - This family owned and run hotel is right next to the synagogue in the Jewish quarter, with a tunnel through the building across that takes you right into the center of town. It is on a dead end street, so no traffic noise. Frequent hotel signs made it easy to get to the hotel. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, one even drove us to dinner the night it rained. We had the balcony suite, which was very comfortable. Breakfast was good, but not as much variety as some others we've stayed in. We would definitely stay her again. Nothing.
- Benedict (9/5): Superb -
- Miranda (8/5): Characterful Veria hotel - Characterful hotel in the old part of town with lovely views. Close to the lively town centre. Very helpful and friendly owner.
- Damjan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teologis (8/5): - Lovely place.
- Teologis (8/5): - We love the breakfast available at the hotel, extremely friendly hotel personnel, very close to the downtown area.
- Vicky (10/5): - Great stay
- Benavraham (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isabel (10/5): Amazing hotel! - What a lovely hotel! It's in a fabulous location, overlooking the river and right next to the old synagogue and, once you get your bearings, a great location for seeing all the best parts of old Veria. I loved the recessed windows in my room - you could leave them open and listen to the sound of the river at night - the beams on the ceiling and the nice big bathroom. The breakfast was good and the staff were simply delightful and they could not do enough for me. Definitely THE place to stay in Veria! Absolutely nothing!
- Marcus (8/5): Very good -
- Irina (10/5): Exceptional - Top place to stay in Veria, best location, had great room with balcony, beautifully furnished, nice staff. Go there!
- Antonios (10/5): We really liked the refurbished historical building housing the Boutique Hotel Kokkno Spiti. -
- Orit (9/5): Unique location in the center of the old quarter. - The setting, the story behind the hotel, the location
- Eleanor (6/5): It was a very quaint hotel with a large room. No other facilities were in the hotel. - Room was very large. The steps were treacherous outside and inside.
- Michael (10/5): Rustic in the Best Way - Staying at Kokkino Spiti was amazing. It was our favorite hotel of the several we stayed during our trip to Greece. It was rustic in all the best ways. The room was spacious, and quiet. The stone kept it warm at night and cool during the day. The bed was solid and comfortable. We fell asleep with the window open listening to the babling river below. I will stay here every time I visit Veria in the future.
- Begum (7/5): Good - Beautiful architecture Breakfast was not very good
- Neil (5/5): no staff around or information of for example when is breakfast. Very impersonal. Last visit - the crazy location a barely staffed b and b
- Cristina (9/5): Ok for a night stay - I liked the idea of the renovation style. The parking is the pedestrian area in front of the hotel. They give you a parking permit for your stay. We went there in january, in summer time i don’t think they have parking spots for all the rooms. You should ask before you book if this aspect is important to you.
To arrive at the hotel you should follow the indicators with the hotel name on the street, otherwise you don’t have any chance to find it. For us it was very easy, because we followed the signs. The entire building and rooms didn’t had a luxury feel, like it is stated in the name of the hotel. The interior seems cheap and not very well maintained.
- Andreas (8/5): Have left with good memories. - Nice building, fine room, great location. The owner asked for an extra payment for charging our electric car overnight, from a standard power outlet. It was after the fact and out of proportions. In the end we converged to a very reasonable fee.
- Dimitrios (9/5): Superb -
- Dimitrios (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelsey (10/5): Exceptional - So beautiful next to the stream. Central location.
- Susan (10/5): Don’t miss Veria and this hotel! - Beautiful property. Quiet comfortable, great location and Vera was an exceptional host! Nothing-it was all great.
- Kevan (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good. House is atmospheric Had to telephone host to administer check in. Breakfast was adequate but coffee was poor, first cups were cold. View was less good than expected. Room was just not too our taste although it had character. It was very expensive for what we received, especially when compared to other accommodations during our tour.
- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Charlotte (10/5): A comfortable hotel in a lovely quiet location - Thé breakfast was good with homemade produce. This is a family run hotel. They were all charming and helpful. The hotel had been renovated by them to a very high standard. Our room was smaller than expected.
- Dimitar (8/5): Very good - Very beautiful boutique hotel.
Location - a lot of stuff to see in 10-15 minutes (walking) range. Plus the hotel gives you map and recomendarions about restaurants. Bring something to repel mosquitos or to tend their bites.
Staff - very friendly and eager to help you.
Room: clean, working AC, multiple windows with good view, window in the bathroom as well. The mattress was a bit soft to our likings, but that is just us.
WiFi was very bad, but good enough to fill up the form for breakfast.
- Clarice (10/5): - The place is beautiful, the charming river flow noise was amazing, well decorated, clean, cozy garden, excellent customer service, We would come back for sure.
- Luca (9/5): Superb -
- Catalin (10/5): Very good location to stay if you want to visit Vergina museums - uniquely decorated bedroom, fantastic details, and river view.
- Antoanetadl (7/5): great location, erratic service - This is a great location to explore Veria, hidden corner along the river, but near all points of interest. The house is lovingly restored and the little square next to Veria's sinagogue is lovely. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Service was erratic, we received helpful instructions how to get there, but, subsequently, during our stay, most of the time there was no one at reception. When we had a problem with our key card which was blocked for day two of our stay, we had to call two different numbers and send a message via booking before someone came along. The impression was that the hotel staff had another job elsewhere and only showed when absolutely necessary.
Breakfast was not great, it was a small selection and some requests simply forgotten. We found filling a google form in advance on what we would have for breakfast had not been not that helpful.
- Elisabeth (9/5): Superb -
