Guest Reviews
- Tracey (10/5): Great place - The view from the apartment Stairs were a bit challenging for our big suitcase but we managed it ok.
- Patricia (7/5): Enjoyable but little things could have made it so much better. - The location is spectacular with amazing sunsets. The apartment is well furnished and equipped and warm. Although we didn’t need them there are plenty of heaters in apartment. You do not necessarily need a car as there is a bus stop opposite hotel and buses run regularly and until late into St Helier. Be aware this side of the island is very windy and although it didn’t bother us it could some people. One evening a company hired out the whole of the bar and restaurant area and we weren’t informed, so we were unable to even go into restaurant or bar or even marquee outside for food or drink. As we had arranged to meet our son and daughter in law it did cause us a problem. There was no apology from the manager even though he was in the bar when we complained to bar staff. They just needed to have informed us prior to the event so we were aware.
It is a shame dogs are not allowed in the bar area (I understand not in restaurant or apartment).
What was probably the reception area was a little messy with laundry bags in there all week and general untidiness.
- Adrian (9/5): -
- Helen (9/5): Beautiful view.peaceful location - Perfect location. Amazing views. Just sea and wind to fall asleep to. Handy for getting meals downstairs if you do not feel like cooking.
- Emma (9/5): Amazing views - Quiet and comfortable location - Felt like home away from home. - Amazing views.
Quiet location.
Comfortable apartment
- Kai (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - Fantastic place! Excellent location with stunning views- wonderful
- ALASTAIR (10/5): - Was self catering which is what we required for our 3yr old grandson , lovely sea views
- Lynn (8/5): Did not realise how good the accommodation as a whole was when booking. Delighted with our choice - More room than expected. Fabulous location with excellent restaurant below apartment. If looking for a quiet spot with the best view on the island then this is for you. Driving a car meant the relative isolation of La Corbierre was not an issue - if relying on public transport there is a bus stop immediately outside but obviously reliant on bus timetable. No complaints about the apartment - generous lounge, bedroom and bathroom (shower). However, the kitchen was very compact and though fully equipped with oven, microwave, fridge-freezer etc, it was a struggle to actually cook in the space. If relying on reheating supermarket meals perfectly adequate. The restaurant downstairs was excellent quality and reasonable prices.
- Barbara (7/5): -
- 854niamhf (10/5): Quite relaxing piece of heaven with a warm welcome - Had the pleasure of staying here with my family. It’s a little out of the way but there is a bus stop nearby, we had rented a car so it was a perfect location for us. The apartments are beautiful and very clean but it’s the balconies that are truly magical with extraordinary views of the sunsets and night sky. The hosts are very welcoming and it was lovely to chat with them in the bar. The restaurant attached has lovely fresh food. I thought the bar and restaurant maybe noisy while staying in the apartment but I didn’t hear a thing. To if your looking for a quite relaxing piece of heaven with a warm welcome this is the right spot for you
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Alan (9/5): Perfect location - Location and the view was excellent lovely food perfect can't thank the place for a fantastic stay. Nothing at all.
- Teresa (8/5): Very good - The location was amazing. The bright apartment and sunny balcony had views out to sea and of Corbiere Lighthouse. From this vantage point we were able to see some beautiful sunsets. All that you needed for a self catering stay was there but also some excellent food in the restaurant down below and a helpful host.
- Dr. (7/5): Overall an acceptable hotel, which mainly benefits from its perfect location. You get a scenic view. - We had a two-room appartment with front view to the sea above the restaurant.
- A perfect scenic view to the lighthouse.
- Enough space for two, acceptable with a kid.
- Little kitchen to prepare something
- All very clean and refurbished.
- You don't hear the restaurant, although it's very busy.
- Plenty of space to park the car
- Very friendly welcome of the dedicated service assistant
- The area around is simply perfect with quit nature and plenty of ways to walk around.
- Perfect connection with the bus to St. Helier around every hour. - The beds, especially the mattraces. They are hard as stone. I usually like to sleep on harder beds, butafter the 3rd nigh my wife and me both could not sleep through, since the bed was simply hurting at our hip and shoulder. Not sure, what brand it is, but I would call it "concrete flat".
- Our son used the sleebing sofa in the living room. It consisted of three segments. The top one was soft, the middle one from the "concrete" company. the bottom one was soft. He is also usually very tolerant, but finally decided to sleep crosswise at the first soft element after some days.
- There is not really and storage for clothes and belongings. We alwas had a hard time to store things, so that it looked quite messy after a while.
I would not mention the bed thing, but it was affecting us so much, that we were happy to sleep again in our beds at home. whcih also effected the feeling of recovery during a vacation.
- G7fls (9/5): It was a lighthouse seaview with balcony. - The view The live music from the restaurant
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - Stunning lighthouse views from the sea view apartment which we were upgraded to. We had an absolutely fantastic holiday in beautiful Jersey and this was a perfect location and accommodation for our family. We hired a car which helped us explore the island at our own pace, but there is a bus service from here. However, there isn't a shop in easy walking distance from here, so having a car did make it much easier for us. I would highly recommend these lovely apartments for anyone looking for a quieter location than St Helier.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Location is amazing.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (8/5): Facilities on the whole are good. Views exceptional. Apartment spotless. Bed extremely comfortab. - Didn’t like that although informed before visiting that a laundry is on site, the Restaurant Manager informed us that of the usage tumble drier was exclusively for use by the restaurant. We had used the drier a couple of times prior to this.
Didn’t like being directly above the bins where all the used bottles from the restaurant were tipped each night.
- Katy (9/5): Perfect stay, would fully recommend to a friend and will definitely be coming back to Jersey and back to Corbiere Phare! - I loved the views and how close these apartments were to the lighthouse! Although these apartments were on the coast, they didn’t feel out the way bc of the bus stop right outside the apartments where you could easily get a bus to the nearest beach (St Brelade) or the capital (St Helier). It was a great space, with good kitchen facilities, really clean and lovely staff. There was also a fab restaurant, which was lovely to eat at! There was nothing I didn’t like - great apartment and great value for money.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, lovely staff, clean and comfortable
- Sarah (9/5): Great to be back on the island - The location, the self catering, the comfort and the upgrade. The views were beautiful and the balcony was the great size.
- Audrey (9/5): Superb - Beautiful views, restaurant below the appartments Depends what you want, we had car so mot really an issue but is a bit more remote
- Charlotte (10/5): Lovely apartment in a beautiful location with friendly staff - Beautiful scenery on the doorstep, clean and spacious apartment, friendly staff.
- Heather (8/5): We loved our holiday and hope to return to Corbiere in 2025 - We were upgraded to an apartment with a sea view at no extra cost. Excellent shower. Plenty of parking spaces available. Restaurant and bar on ground floor provided excellent food and drinks. The apartments are in a quieter area of the island, with a view of the lighthouse, plus access at low tide, adding interest. Easy to drive to St Helier and other areas on Jersey. Staff always helpful. Kitchen area is small, little room for food prep. Food and drinks expensive in restaurant and bar, even when compared with other venues on Jersey.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Lori (10/5): So pleased to have booked this apartment. Exceeded expectations and will definitely return. - The location is stunning; you could sit all day on the balcony watching the path appearing and disappearing across to the lighthouse. Being on the South West coast headland brings coastal winds which add to the atmosphere. Fantastic walking trails from the hotel and buses taking you across the island which makes it a fantastic location. Fantastic apartment with all the facilities necessary. My son used the sofa bed which was comfortable and easy to use. Plenty of free parking outside and an excellent restaurant with very tasty meals. Look forward to coming back! We needed an extra blind for one of the windows in the lounge to block out the light if sofa bed being used.
- Catharine (10/5): Great apartment with fantastic views and a great restaurant and bar beneath - Fantastic location Nothing
- Bryan (10/5): Exceptional! - The location was amongst the very best on the island. The apartment was well situated for a superb view and spacious and comfortable. The customer service and friendliness of all staff and the welcome e received was second to none. Outstandingly good. Lovely atmosphere. wonderful location, magic venue. This question is not applicable.
- Ines (8/5): We enjoyedit very much - The location and the terrace with a view of the sea
The restaurant and bar The basin in the bathroom. Very little room for cups tooh brushes, etc. The lid of the toilket came off twice
The table in the living room was too small.
- Josie (10/5): Exceptional - The room had a wonderful view of Corbiere, with a balcony ,and was clean, functional and everything we required.
All the staff, are welcoming , friendly, helpful, and make a good team, of hosts, James and all work so hard.
The food is always excellent.
(I was actually here this time, for a family funeral, a perfect place to reflect on life.
Though had been in previous week's with my partner, and the restaurant hosted 13 of my family for a reunion, and this time returned with my daughter and her bf, both trips staff , food and space excellent)
The location was so convenient, with the bus stop reliable and right outside for the bus to S.Helier, and all stops in between or to St.Ouens, or airport.
Thanks all, would love to return.
Xxxxx Only thing I didn't like about stay was, reason for visit, and having to go home!
Only complaint can think of is lack of Havana especial or flor de Cana, or such quality rum available!!
I would also maybe recommend a fan above beds for hot sticky nights.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, clean and modern, friendly staff, on bus route to town and airport
- Lynn (9/5): Superb -
- Debra (9/5): Superb - Lovely apartment overlooking Corbiere Lighthouse, towels changed midweek, nice quiet location, restaurant underneath apartment but not noisy.
- Isabel (9/5): Nice Location - Location Nothing
- Keith (8/5): A wonderful location. Great restaurant at the site. - The view was amazing! Would have liked a freezer section in the fridge.
- John (6/5): Expensive for what was provided. Won’t book again. - Location, views, peaceful. Balcony. Bed was hard. Decor & facilities and cleanliness not satisfactory for the price. Had to move the microwave in order to plug it in! Stairway very narrow.
- Aled (5/5): Nice location for adults, would not recommend staying with small children - View of the lighthouse and sea was spectacular 1. Photos advertised bathroom with bath, in reality no bath just shower - was an issue with small children
2. Microwave cable wasn’t long enough to be plugged in, inconvenient
3. Cleaning service on Saturday didn’t clean the surfaces, and left room unlocked… only changed bed linen
4. Communication prior to visit was excellent, as soon as we’d arrived was non existent
- Beverley (10/5): Wanted to be in Corbiere and it was everything we hoped for and more - a very special place. - Fabulous food, apartment lovely - huge bed comfy, tv, great shower, balcony - kindly supplied milk tea sugar coffee at the start, supplied clean towels halfway thru the week, location stunning, staff excellent. Great atmosphere in restaurant and bar, def need to book ahead for restaurant at weekends. Near St Brelades, Portelet, St Ouens and our favourite Plemont. Only 2 tiny tiny criticisms - lovely fluffy bath sheets at start of week, swapped halfway thru for thin small bath towels - just too small! And a mirror near a plug point for doing hair and make-up would be useful - had to keep pulling out the bedside table and unplugging the lamp to use the socket for hairdryer etc so I could see in the mirror inside the wardrobe door - bit awkward.
- Dids (9/5): Superb -
- Denise (10/5): Fab stay - Lovely clean apartment with fabulous views. Nothing
- Charlotte (9/5): Loved it. Will be back! - Beautiful views of Corbiere lighthouse from our balcony. Really friendly staff from both the apartments and the bar downstairs (especially the Geordie guy from the bar!). Great location, only a few minutes to St Brelade’s beach bay and St Ouen’s bay. Good sized and well-equipped rooms in the apartment.
- Sonia (8/5): Very good -
- Derek (10/5): Great family holiday - The location and view from my apartment was exceptionally beautiful. the stairs was slightly difficult for my wife
- Christine (8/5): Stay was very enjoyable, continuous sun for 3 weeks helped, balcony exceeded my expectations. - I didnt partake of a breakfast. The location was excellent It was a small kitchen but workable. The oven was very straight forward to use so I couldn't see the point of having such a large microwave. It took up a lot of space which would have been more use as work surface. Also there were no glass bowls that could have been used for putting fruit in or for mixing ingredients. I felt the kitchen generally, if I might say this, needed a womans touch. It seemed to lack the kind of things that a woman might expect to find when she opens a cupboard in a kitchen. They are just small points, not enough to ruin a holiday but when space is in short supply why bother to have a microwave when you have a perfectly good conventional oven, two in fact a grill/oven and a main oven.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (9/5): Superb - Lovely little apartment with a stunning view. Great location to visit the best beaches in the west of the island. Kitchen was small but well equipped. We will be back.
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Raymond (9/5): Good - Nice pillow so good we bought one for ourselves
- E (8/5): Very good - Location was amazing, views of the lighthouse, especially nice at sunset. Very clean, nicely decorated, nice balcony, comfy beds, basic kitchen. Very noisy until well beyond midnight when there is a private party (the music rather than the people) in the restaurant, we had this twice in one week. Glass coffee table in the way of settee bed, very hard to move. Double set of railings obscure view from lounge which is a shame. Too difficult to eat at their restaurant, either fully booked or closed for private parties.
- Sean (7/5): A good place to stay out of the centre - Restaurant was excellent, good menu, excellent food and friendly very staff Rooms were a bit tired
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Warm welcome. Amazing location. Lovely, clean accommodation that had so much more than we expected. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
- John (9/5): Superb - The rooms themselves were impeccably clean. The staff were great - very friendly. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with a 2 part oven and a microwave with basic pots and pans. Parking was ample. There was a very large bed with a sofa bed that provided the second sleeping area. The bathroom had a shower, sink and toilet and was clean. There was ample cupboards and wardrobes for storage. The room had an ample sized balcony with a table and chairs for eating outside. The situation is great with a fantastic view over the coast and the lighthouse. The restaurant was superb and I ate Scallops and Ribs which were excellent. The bed was pretty hard. A comforter underneath would have taken the extra hardness away.
- Jen (9/5): stunning location and easy access to transport - easy access and stunning views apartment we had was next to the entrance so quite a lot of noise with people going in and out especially as the restaurant had several private functions
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect. Great views.
- Liya (9/5): Superb -
- Sheila (4/5): loved jersey but won’t be using this accommodation again - location to beach was perfect and views were amazing we felt but hadn’t been cleaned properly we asked for a brush to sweep floor but was told we would get it hoovered mid week but didn’t happen
- Joanne (8/5): Fantastically clean, lovely views. Friendly welcome. - Limited kitchen cooking equipment in terms of oven trays or oven dishes for self catering.
- Rosalind (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (8/5): Very good - Didn’t have breakfast, had a few lunches which were very nice.
- A6446AKchristinec (2/5): Great View, dreadful food and Service - Just back from a lovely holiday in Jersey absolutely lovely island to spend 7 days on. Booked an apartment over looking the corbiere lighthouse stunning views, especially the sunsets. Accommodation was clean and had everything we needed, was shown to our apartment by a girl in the bar, once we got her attention.
During our stay the towels changed once nothing else bedding on bed for whole week. We decided to go to the restaurant for dinner half way through our stay as we had been eating out most of the time ( cafe and pub lunches) etc anyway we were told we would have to wait an hour as we had not booked which is fine, I’m thinking this is going to be good. Sit down, given menu, options on menu not up to much was disappointed but ordered anyway, scampi and chips with onion rings and a side salad. Took over 55 mins to arrive and what was placed in front of me, was a plate of frozen scampi, frozen skinny fries, frozen onion rings and a side salad that had some greasy looking dressing and turned up lettuce, looked like it had been plated up some time earlier in the day, absolutely disgusting. Waitress was walking by so I stopped her to ask why there was nothing fresh on my plate and she cockily told me that’s what I ordered if I wanted fresh ingredients I should have asked, of she marched mouthing something to another waitress who decided to come over and ask me what my problem was. I explained that everything on my plate was from a frozen packed nothing was fresh that included the salad, she said I quote in 15 years of working in this restaurant nobody has ever complained about the food, people come from all over jersey to enjoy our chips, I was speechless so with a hefty bill, and only eating some of the frozen scampi we paid and left no I’m sorry or can we offer any else nothing just a lot of finger pointing. So roll on 3am in the morning and I’m up vomiting the frozen scampi and my husband was also sick to. So advice do your homework and checkout some of the amazing places on the island to eat and you can guarantee fresh ingredients. Also like to add the whole place had a smell of burnt cooking fat, throughout our stay.
- MaxLondon2 (8/5): A view to die for! - Stayed a week in one of the apartments overlooking he lighthouse. We had a balcony which absolutely made our stay!
Apartment is on the first floor up a fairly narrow set of stairs so a bit of a struggle with the luggage! Apartment was nice, fairly small, kitchenette with cooler, fridge and sink but only about 1.5 x 1.5 metres, bathroom with a fairly large shower but still quite small maybe 2 x 2 metres and a bit tricky getting in through the door for the more portly of us, as the sink was quite close to the door,
Bedroom ok and living room also ok but of course the thing that made our stay a great success was the balcony with the million dollar view!
Fantastic sea and lighthouse (separately reviewed) view and the sunsets….so beautiful,
To meet Covid protocols the key to outcrops was in the door when we arrived which was ok, strangely, if we hadnt gone to the restaurant attached to the apartments (separately reviewed) I don’t think we would have seen or heard from anyone from the local team for the whole of our stay!
Overall we were pleased with the accommodation which perfectly suited our needs and the view, of course!
- markdL3414VI (8/5): Nice view - The apartments have a fantastic view. The accomodation is functional however it needs up dating. The staff were friendly and helpful. The resteraunt served good food reasonably priced. I'd stay here again, particularly if the accomodation was up dated a bit.
- iLoveLondn (10/5): LOVELY APARTMENTS & STUNNING VIEWS!!! - I rented an apartment for 2 weeks and loved every minute of staying there. Beautiful clean apartments. Friendly staff always keen to assist when needed. It is possibly the best views on the entire island with breathtaking sunsets... Highly recommended and yes I would most definitely return.
- MPMLondon (2/5): Never again - My wife and I called into the hotel bar after visiting the nearby lighthouse and where served by the most objectionable man behind the bar. I asked could my wife have a coffee and was told if I must! He then proceeded to shout whilst his back was turned away from us AND. His attitude was awful and thankfully we won’t have to go there again. Fantastic view by the way.
- jane826 (10/5): Stunnng Apartment - I rented this apartment for my niece, her husband and their one year old in August 2017
It was absolutely lovely. It had a balcony with a stunning view of corbiere lighthouse and the whole of St Ouens bay ( you can't get better than this ) We had requested a cot and required a microwave which were both there on their arrival. The apartment was spotless and well equipped. It was perfect for the baby and they had a marvellous time.
We were extremely lucky with the weather but it is advisable to have a car if you stay here. Having said that for people who are fit and love walking there is a bus stop just across the road and the most beautiful walks from the apartment to St Brelade and the whole of St Ouens bay .
Although you are right on top of the sea it's not a swimming bay. St Ouens and St Brelade are great family beaches close by. Corbiere is lovely for rock scrambling but beware of the tide and make sure you know when high and low water is.
There nearest shop is about 2.5 miles away (Waitrose CO.OP) and there is the benefit of having Corbiere Phare Restaurant and Bar on the ground floor which serves a range of reasonably priced food. We had two excellent meals here.
Couldn't fault it
- UkRMary (10/5): Stunning view of La Corbiere Lighthouse & rocks - The sea view apartments have a beautiful view. Could watch the tide coming in & out over the causeway & crashing onto the rocks all day. Apartment has every facility you might need with an excellent restaurant downstairs. Friendly staff. We hired a car to go round in but the bus service is also very good, Free wi-fi throughout.
- fraser19 (8/5): Great views, peaceful location - Easy bus link from the airport. Apartment was clean (not spotless), plenty of towels, felt a little tired - showerhead bit broken and beds had extra duvets under the sheets which made the mattress comfortable but probably needs new mattress! Kitchen was not well equipped for self catering, there was an odd assortment of crockery and unless we wanted to cook from a saucepan or frying pan options were limited. A couple of dishes for the microwave and oven plus a grill pan would have really made the difference, oh and a chopping board! Staff were very friendly. Was nice and quiet and the balcony looking out over the lighthouse was lovely. We walked (alot!) so werent too worried about being quite romote and the walking is very easy if you use the cycle routes which follow and old railway. Nearest shops are Redhouses 2 miles max. Great place to escape to! (Free wifi in the building.)
- Alysunshine (6/5): Fab view, apartment a little tired - Great location, with stunning views over corbiere lighthouse. The apartment was bigger than we expected (bigger than self catering ski apartments!). We booked for 3 adults knowing there was a sofa bed in the lounge. This would have been fine had the mattress not been very old with the springs visible. The staff were helpful giving us another double duvet to lie on top of but without it you wouldn't be able to use that bed. Kitchen was basic but fine for breakfasts etc, could have done with some larger serving bowls.
Restaurant downstairs is really good, beautiful seafood, friendly staff and a fabulous view to watch.
Overall I would return however, on the proviso the sofa bed mattress was improved.
- jandac1 (8/5): Basic but perfectly adequate - We booked this holiday last minute so family accommodation options were very thin on the ground! Apartment 2 is a upstairs corner apartment overlooking the point not the lighthouse but a large balcony with views of the lighthouse. Good sized double bedroom (we asked for twin beds which we got) & a double bed settee in the living room. We expected the apartment to be smaller so we're pleasantly surprised although the kitchen was small & we were only given 3 glasses & plates etc for a family of 4, kitchen equipment is basic, a microwave would have been very useful but don't know where it would fit in!! Bathroom adequate, clean, plenty of towels provided. Apartment was generally clean & fresh, serviced mid week. I do think the apartments are a secondary business to the restaurant, at least 1 is rented out to a long term renter, all staff in the restaurant were welcoming, the food in the restaurant was lovely.
Would we stay here again...... for a family of 4, probably not, just too basic & not quite enough space.
- paulhenry2018 (4/5): Just adequate really - Superb location. Not much of a welcome, weren't allowed into apartment until 3 pm but booking details said 2 pm. Toilet seat had a crack in it, only 3 knives for family of 4. Sofa bed inadequate for 2 adults or 2 older children, youngest spent whole week sleeping on the floor. They did oblige with extra bedding to allow us to do this. The booking information I felt was unclear on this. Would I recommend, not really, if you have already booked then I'd set you expectations accordingly. It's seems to me that the operation is focused on the restaurant business in the complex, which is good, but the accommodation is just a neglected side line. There were some excellent old reviews I Szechuan when I booked but I think time has moved on. Apartment 4 has no sea view, but the view is quite pleasant all the same.
- PaulH636 (10/5): Memorable - Nice clean apartment with all the usual self-catering facilities, We had apartment number 1 on the corner with large 2 sided balcony. If your looking for a quite location with memorable views, this ticks all the boxes regardless of weather, from a beautiful sunset to waves crashing on the lighthouse rocks, to cloudless star filled skies. All at a competitive price to other accommodation on the Island.
- 339maggiev (2/5): Worst holiday experience ever - We arrived at Corbiere Phare at 15.45 on Saturday 15th July 2017 and were shown to Flat 5 by the barman. We like to know that the general surfaces in any accommodation that we stay in are clean so we bring our own antiseptic wipes. However, once my husband had started using the wipes in the bathroom and I had started in the kitchen we soon realised the flat needed a thorough deep clean. During the cleaning of the bedroom a pile of dog hairs were found and behind the microwave I found two dead flies and another dead fly behind the television in the living room. We had to clean the kitchen and bathroom floors three times and they were still dirty. We decided to ask the barman to come and have a look at the state of the flat. He came up and apologised and explained that the cleaner had been taken to hospital. He said he would inform the assistant manageress who was dealing with a party. After about half an hour the assistant manageress, called Linda, came to the flat and did not appear interested, however she apologised several times and offered to clean the flat herself. We declined the offer, explaining that we did not trust her cleaning would meet our standards due to the dirty state of the flat. The only thing we asked for was a hoover, so we could hoover the dog hairs, crumbs and dust off the furniture.
We waited fifteen minutes for Linda to bring the hoover, however, she couldn’t even be bothered to do that so my husband went downstairs and spoke with the barman and he brought one up.
We did not finish cleaning until 18:30.
On Sunday night the patio doors to the balcony would not lock, this left us feeling extremely vulnerable and had to find a stick to wedge the door shut.
The glass divider on the balcony is shattered.
The oven was dirty.
There was a problem with the kitchen sink, the water would take hours to go down the plughole.
We informed Macole’s, who we booked with and they were very sympathetic. They informed us that Linda stated that; she offered us a meal in the restaurant as compensation, she offered to show us another flat and she accused my husband of swearing. All of which are absolute lies.
Avoid at all cost staying here, worst holiday experience ever, rude lying staff and the owner refused to apologise. Please see attached photographs.
- Geordie_Relic (8/5): Enjoyable week away - Stayed in apartment 7 on corner with large balcony and stunning views of Corbiere lighthouse. Accomodation clean and tidy with midweek linen change, only thing missing was microwave, essential if self catering. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent bar/restaurant downstairs, fish and chips from bar menu recommended.
- Paul19 (10/5): Helpful staff and great view. - We chose these apartments because we wanted a sea view facing west so we could watch the sunsets. We stayed in apartment 7 which has a large corner balcony. The view over the Corbiere Lighthouse was stunning. its worth noting that these are self catering and apartments, some of the previous reviews I have read seem to expect hotel service. There is no daily maid service, however bed linen and and towels are changed mid week. The staff are very helpful.
On our last morning we had a problem with the electrics in the bathroom tripping out. This was quickly rectified by one of the staff. we later had a visit from the manager, Roy who gave his apologies for this and invited us to stay for a complimentary lunch in the excellent Lighthouse restaurant. This was our first visit to Jersey and our stay at Corbiere Phare added to our enjoyment of this wonderful Island.
- 98mariaf (8/5): Beautiful panoramic views, lovely location - Stayed for one week in self-catering apartment. Stunning panoramic 270 degree views at Corbiere headland. Balconies are south-facing. Well-equipped apartment, dog- friendly too if you ask. 5 minutes from St Ouens Bay and St Brelades. Very good food downstairs in restaurant for lunches and dinner if wanted. Very helpful and friendly staff.
- sandraa492 (10/5): Superb views. Excellent food - We stayed here in a one bedroom apartment for a week in room 1 overlooking Corbiere Lighthouse. The accommodation was clean and well equipped. The restaurant food and service was good, the bar food was amazingly good value and the Manager and staff were really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They were prepared to be flexible and helpful, wherever possible. Highly recommend
- malc56 (10/5): Fantastic location for views - Luckily Booked this by chance as we were looking for self catering apartment. These are some apartments over a restaurant right on the coast overlooking the Corbiere Lighthouse. The views are simply stunning! We had appt 7 on corner with large balcony, quite spacious one bed room with everything we needed, we mainly ate out but the kitchen is supplied with plenty of cooking stuff. There is nothing else nearby and although we had a car there is a bus stop opposite with good service to St Helier, St Brelades running quite late into evening. When tide was out (10am-4pm) you could walk right out to Lighthouse. At certain times of year you can book tour of Lighthouse with Jersey Tourism. St Ouens bay with a stunning 5 mile beach is 5 mins away by car, St Brelades Bay another lovely beach with plenty of restaurants around the bay. There is a large Waitrose 5 minutes away in Redhouses. Although the restaurant below seemed busy it didn't disturb us.
- Calamitysammysam (10/5): The views alone are worth a visit - We booked two apartments for a weeks' stay in August. I had read a couple of poor reviews so was a touch wary and not entirely sure what to expect. Either the bad reviews were malicious or the management have taken the feedback on board and acted upon it.
We arrived early and knew that check-in wasn't until 3pm so we settled down to have a drink or two and enjoy the view. The manager told us the rooms would be ready as soon as they could manage and at midday we were shown to the apartments. They were much bigger than I expected, both being full-sized one bedroom flats. In fact I've lived in smaller. The kitchen in fully equipped, the bathrooms modern and clean and the super king beds incredibly comfortable. The balcony to our apartment was a full sized terrace with sunbeds and a table, and the views from it are stunning. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant downstairs serves some amazing food.
I'm quite looking forward to a return visit!
